Trying to get used to my computer tablet again around this Thanksgiving. I usually use my portable tablet for drawing stuff, but I really want to use my other one more often.
I also wanted to examine the general differences between my main five here. All are supposed to be 'typical' of their clans.
(Also figuring to redesign some other characters, though not these five.)

Clan Family Trees!
At least for the current rosters for the clans at present.
Note: Any kits are shown with their adult eye colors and elders are aged down for the purposes of these trees.
Thicketclan Notes:
Almost everyone in Thicketclan has a non-clan heritage somewhere in their family.
Rookstone is the latest former non-clan cat to join.
Beepaw is a tabby, while Tigerkit is a solid red.
Hollyfang's the youngest of her generation in Thicketclan, while her son Beepaw is the oldest of his.
Spiderberry's ongoing affair with Fallowdawn aside, Shadowstorm is the only other Thicketclan cat with family in another clan (Shadefang in Gorgeclan)
Gorgeclan Notes:
Fennelheart has no clue about his father being the previous medicine cat Cliffrunner.
Many of Gorgeclan's numbers here were victims in the recent rockfall. Exceptions are Cloudleap, Skyleap, and Stagbranch.
Firespark was originally Gorgeclan. He left at the beginning of his apprenticeship so that he could learn medicine in Sunclan. There is a huge age gap between him and his sister Lilypaw, who would have been the youngest of the apprentices.
Sunclan Notes:
Frostpond is a cream underneath his dominant white. His and Hornetsting's sister Snow is a black torbie.
No one knows where Snow is now.
Prickleleg's parents are supposed to be named Viperstrike and Blizzard. Viperstrike never suspected Prickleleg could turn out the way he did
Patchjaw is a lykoi. Both Tallstar and Whiteleap can pass this down.
Most Sunclan members start their families when they're in their senior days or become elders. Frostpond and Firespark are an exception to this standard.
Floodclan Notes:
Redwing and Poppythroat used to be courting but not anymore.
Gorsestream and Laurelshadow always placed themselves as caretakers of the younger cats who were suspected of having non-clan blood. Firetail and Ice were the only kits that they officially took in as their own after both were orphaned during a fire incident.
In contrast to Sunclan, most warriors are expected to start their families while young.
Floodclan prefers for their warriors, should they pursue a mate from another clan, that they pick from Thicketclan or Gorgeclan. Sunclan is their main rival and Creekclan is known for taking in kittypets and loners, which goes against Floodclan's attitude towards non-clan cats.
Creekclan Notes:
While it's not confirmed/known for sure if Skippferfeather is their father, the elder is still eager to step up as a father figure to Stonekit and Dustkit.
Pineleaf and Gannet-tail are related but are not close.
Pineleaf has outlived all of his apprentices. The clan is worried about who his next one will be. (At the beginning of the stories I'm planning, he is 263 moons old... or 21 years, pushing 22)
There's less of a standard age that warriors in Creekclan are expected to have families and more just random booms of baby fever. If one cat has or brings in a baby, you can be sure to expect at least two other cats to suddenly do the same. Best example with Creekclan's most recent generation; Briarpaw at the beginning of these stories is almost about to be seven moons, almost about to be the time of his first gathering. Smallkit, who is the youngest, is just about to be one moon old.

Medicine Cat Family Tree of Floodclan
Just like the leaders of Floodclan, the medicine cats are also part of the same family line. However, due to them also honoring the ruling of medicine cats not having mates, most future medicine cats pick their apprentices from their sibling's family.
I was not going to backtrack that far back.
Rootleaf's waited quite some time to take on an apprentice, knowing that he'd be picking from the grandchildren of his brother Clovereye. Clovereye and his mate Robinleap had three, Tansyroot, Yarrowleap, and Laurelburr. Yarrowleap opted to leave Floodclan at a point, not wishing to deal with the pressure that came from his father's lineage.
Tansyroot and Laurelburr took it on as a competition. Laurelburr became mates with Bumblespot, while Tansyroot found interest with Bumblespot's sister Dovebloom.
Laurelburr and Bumblespot only ever had Sagenose, to the latter's disappointment. Such disappointment was furthered when it became apparent that her daughter had no talent for medicine.
Tansyroot had more luck when Dovebloom gave birth to their daughters Longstripe and Brightcloud. However, neither seemed to have the best talents for medicine either. Rootleaf though saw more potential in Brightcloud as he came closer to his time and took her as his apprentice.
Longstripe had little love to the traditions their family seemed to be bound to, with no wish to subject her future kin to live with that sort of pressure.
Sagenose took the opportunity of her cousin's declaration, pairing with a Gorgeclan warrior named Hawkcry to have her children Whitepaw and Emberpaw. Brightcloud saw this as an opportunity to heal some of the family wounds between them by picking one of the two as her apprentice.
Whitepaw lied and said he wished to learn so to let there'd be less pressure on his sister.
Both apprentices are much closer to Longstripe out of their whole family.

Camp Concepts
While I do have the map sections on each of the posts for the clans, I didn't have the concepts for their camps' layout. Let's get on that, shall we?
Thicketclan's camp suits its name well, with the walls and dens made from the thick bushes and brambles surrounding the Gathering Branch the leaders use to make announcements. The main exception is the den of the leader, which is made in a bottom hole in the tree's base. As the clan is meant to be fairly large in numbers due to occasionally accepting outsiders, the camp needed to reflect that. The camp is the one place where Thicketclan's members are expected to be able to relax outside of the shadows they primarily use.
Gorgeclan's camp is at the base of the main waterfall in their territory, with the dens being small caves in the cliffside. The Shallow Rock that's in the water the falls drop into is where the leader makes the announcements. The warrior's den is the first one seen upon entering the camp, with the apprentice's den close by, and both have a clear view of the entrance in return. I've gone back and forth on the positions of the leader's den, elder's den, and medicine den. The nursery, however, is always behind the falls, shielding the view of it from the entrance.
Sunclan's only den is multi-use, homing the injured, the sick, kits, queens, and the elders. The elders in the Sunclan do have extra duties, which are primarily maintaining the den and keeping it to an appropriate size for use. Usually, this comes down to having one section for the sick and injured and another section for the nursery and elders, but the times when the entire clan does need to use the den is when the most expansion happens. This den is also bigger in general than most dens in other clans, having been an abandoned wolf den prior. The rest of the clan, when not in a state of emergency, uses the rocks surrounding the den as their primary resting spots. The Highest Stone, the top most rock, is where the leaders make their announcements, with the small indent beneath used to store herbs away from the kits that are in the den.
Floodclan has two camps, the main being called the Hilltop, which is also the name of the boulder the leader uses to make announcements, and Little Butte, which is used when Hilltop gets flooded. Little Butte is not an easy camp to get to, hence why it is only used when the easier to access (for the clan anyway) Hilltop can't be used anymore.
Floodclan actually organizes its camp similarly to its more monarchy traditions. In Hilltop, the leader, the elders, and the medicine dens are closer to each other in comparison to the other dens. I've gone back and forth is I want the leader's den to be under the Hilltop boulder and am still playing around with the idea. However, because Little Butte is a harder camp to reach when it is needed to be used, the Elders are given the den closest to its entrance, while the other side is given to the warriors. The same is for the apprentices' and medicine den, letting the leader's den be between the warriors and the apprentices while the Elders and medicine den surround the nursery.
Creekclan's camp is roughly the same size as Thicketclan, also due to being more open to letting nonclan cats join their numbers. Instead of having the place for announcements be in the center of camp, it's off to the side. The Sandbar is used for announcements while the leader's den is near the center of the camp to help them reach and access the other dens.

FAMILY TREE, EVERYONE!
Alright, so, we're also gonna talk genetics here. This is gonna get lengthy so buckle up. I posted all the videos on making this darn thing on my TikTok, but one cannot explain genetics enough in five 10 minutes videos. Or at least I can't, and the family tree that shows how the original founders of my five clans get to the point of Floodclan's current leadership was the best (and longest) family tree to show how weird cat genetics can get! Also gonna get into some lore on this that I had no time to add in the videos.
Do note: I will not be talking about fur length.
Starting with Thicketstar, she's a chocolate ticked tabby with no white spotting. Both of her youngest children, Embercloud and Sunnystar, have at most 50% white spotting and are calicos.
Embercloud is a chocolate caliby (a tabby calico) while Sunnystar is a carmelized blue calico (fun fact a carmelized diluted red/cream is an 'apricot' for those who didn't know.)
So, basic cats colors to look at here alone:
Black is most dominant (dilute is blue)
Chocolate is recessive to Black (dilute is lilac)
Cinnamon is recessive to Chocolate (dilute is fawn)
Red is sex-linked (dilute is cream). Red cats pretty much are a 'hey, let's not let the eumelanin(what's responsible for Black, chocolate, and cinnamon) show and let the phaeomelanin (what's responsible for red) shine on through!'
So if a tom inherits the black gene thanks to having a chocolate dad and a black calico mom, but also gets that one X chromosome that's red from mom, that's going to be a red tom than, if they have a calico daughter, could still pass on that black gene and make that daughter a black calico. Probably a better way to explain it, but that's how I'm going to.
So then, starting with Thicketstar, she's a chocolate ticked tabby with no white spotting. Both of her youngest children, Embercloud and Sunnystar, have at most 50% white spotting and are calicos.
Embercloud is a chocolate caliby (a tabby calico) while Sunnystar is a carmelized blue solid calico (fun fact a carmelized diluted red/cream is an 'apricot' for those who didn't know.)
So already, the previous explanation is in play.
Sunnystar being a caramelized blue means both Thicketstar and Sunnystar's father carried both the dilute gene so that Sunnystar could be blue, but also the caramel trait. The caramel trait is also recessive like dilute. In order for Sunny to be blue, means her red tom dad who also has a lot of white spotting would have been a black or blue tom if he didn't have that special red 'X.'
Sunnystar is mates with Moonstar, a seal Bengal spotted lynx colorpoint. This means Moonstar has the colorpoint gene, obviously, but is also genetically a black cat. Since he's a tabby though, which is dominant to Sunnystar's solid, that means if we assume he carries a recessive solid gene, it's a 50-50 chance for their kids to be solids.
Which is true! Their daughter Blueclaw is a solid blue! Moonstar doesn't have the caramel gene, so Blueclaw isn't caramelized like Sunnystar. HOWEVER, because Moonstar has the gene that causes the Bengal pattern and passed that down to his kits, Blueclaw's solid coat does have muted markings regardless. (Bengals are weird and this won't be the first time it messes with this family tree)
Sunnystar's and Moonstar's other daughter Leopardheart isn't dilute and has inherited Sunnystar's whitespotting, though it is a lesser amount. Since Leopardheart is a tabby, she displays the Bengal pattern Moonstar passed on down. Both Blueclaw and Leopardheart are genetically black like both Sunnystar and Moonstar are.
Back to Embercloud.
They have a son, Sleekstride, who is a chocolate mink tabby with a small amount of whitespotting. In order for Sleekstride to be any type of colorpoint, Embercloud has to have a recessive colorpoint gene, along with Sleekstride's father. For future reference, we will assume that Sleekstride's father was either a cinnamon or carried cinnamon.
Sleekstride then has Palestar, a fawn ticked lynx colorpoint with no white. This is why we must assume that Sleekstride's father is either cinnamon or carried it, along with Sleekstride's mate. The cinnamon cannot be from Embercloud, because as we discussed earlier, Embercloud's father would have been a red cat, hiding a black coat, and would have had to carry chocolate in order for her to have chocolate like her mother Ticketstar. We can also assume Sleekstride's mate either was a colorpoint or also carried it.
Palestar's mate is Fallowspark, a black tabby with little white spotting. However, Fallowspark carries chocolate! How do we know this?
Because none of their children are cinnamon/fawn and one of them, Fernrunner, is a chocolate-ticked tabby.
We also know both Palestar and Fallowspark carry solid because of Shadowrapid is a black solid tom with small white spotting and Fallowspark carries dilute, colorpoint and both carry the caramel trait because Creekstar is a caramelized blue lynx colorpoint and their daughter Mothstar is a seal lynx colorpoint.
We good? Good.
Creekstar has a total of six mates, but only had kits with three, so let's just look at those.
He and his first mate Heavyheart, a black twilight charcoal tabby have Doespot, a lilac charcoal tabby. This means, since Creekstar would be carrying cinnamon from Palestar, Heavyheart is carrying chocolate and dilute.
Creekstar's next mate Amberstream is a fawn tortie. They have OWlcry, a solid blue mink, which means Amberstream carries a sort of colorpoint. Since both Creekstar and Amberstream are diluted, this means Owlcry has to be diluted as well. There are no other options.
Creekstar's last mate TImbercall is a black tabby, and they have Lakepaw, who is a blue tabby.
Heavyheart and Shadowrapid hook up after Creekstar dumped her and they have Fernpelt, a black midnight charcoal tabby with a small amount of white.
Fernpelt then fathers Lionstar, who is a solid fawn with the same amount of white spotting. Now, we know that since Shadowrapid is a solid, Fernpelt would be a carrier. We also know that it's a 50-50 chance that Fernpelt would have also been a carrier for both the cinnamon trait and dilute trait, has both would have been inherited from Shadowrapid being a carrier after inheriting those traits from his own mother Palestar.
In case anyone needs a sum up of that:
Palestar( dilute cinnamon) --> Shadowrapid (carriers cinnamon and dilute) --> Fernpelt (could carrier cinnamon and dilute) --> Lionstar (dilute cinnamon)
Good? Good.
Lionstar fathers Marshrunner, who does not have white spotting and is a solid chocolate tom. Since cinnamon is the most recessive of the non-red colors, this makes sense and points to Lioncry's mate being either a carrier of chocolate or chocolate herself.
Marshrunner then fathers Finchstar, who is a solid chocolate tortoiseshell, having no white. Since Finchstar is a tortoiseshell, her mother is either a tortie herself or a red she-cat, in which said the mother could only provide red 'Xs'.
We know that Finchstar's mate would have to be a red tom since she then has a daughter Fireflight, who is a red colorpoint. Now, regardless if a cat is solid or tabby, red will always display stripes. Genetically, however, Fireflight is a solid.
We do know her mate has to be a tabby with whitespotting because then her son Gorsestar is a red tabby colorpoint with whitespotting. However the color of Gorsestar's father does not matter in this case, as since Fireflight is red, then so too must be Gorsestar.
Gorsestar first is mates with Ravencry, a solid black tuxedo. Since Ravencry is genetically black, their son Tigercall then is also such, but he's a tabby like Gorsestar. He gets whitespotting from either Gorsestar or Ravencry, but not both since he's a tuxedo as well.
Tigercall then mates with non-clan cat Jane, a solid chocolate bicolor. However Tigercall still passes on the black gene onto their daughter Shadowfoot, and this time both parents give a white spotting gene to their child, as Shadowfoot has a massive amount of white on her.
Shadowfoot has a kit with Snowmask, a blue tabby bicolor. They have Junipercloud, who also turns out to be a blue bicolor. This means the dilute trait Shadowfoot is a carrier for is either came from Jane or managed to be passed on secretly through Gorsestar's family since Lionstar. We will see it could be either later.
Now, Snowmask had a previous mate, Riverbelly, who was a seal lynx colorpoint.
Both of their sons Darkpelt and Loonwing are black tabbies, but Loonwing inherits Snowmask's white spotting and neither of them is colorpoints. Loonwing is mates with Hornetsting, a cream tabby she-cat with whitespotting, making any son they have red or cream and all daughter calicos.
Now let's go back to Gorsestar.
Gorsestar later mates with Spottedstream, a gray tortie. We now know that Gorsestar does indeed carry a dilute gene because their Stormfrost is a dilute/blue tortie colorpoint. We already know Gorsestar carries solid from his mother and paired with solid tortie Spottestream, this lets Stormfrost be the solid she is as well.
Stormfrost hooks up with two toms, Riverthorn (a seal point) and Lioncry (a chocolate wideband tabby). Wideband makes a cat's coat, aside from stripes, look golden.
Stormfrost and Riverthorn can only produce more colorpoints. Riverthorn also carried dilute as evidenced by Falconstar being a blue colorpoint. Their daughter Mudmask is a seal colorpoint just like her father.
Stormfrost's son in the same litter. Redwing, could be either Riverthorn's or Lioncry's son. Redwing is a colorpoint, as since he's red, he'd still show having stripes regardless if he was a tabby or a solid. Lioncry's wideband gene is a dominant trait, but it'd also be reasonable that Lioncry could have a recessive gene where a kit of his wouldn't get that trait.
Mudmask is mates with Bluetalon, a blue tabby. Their kits will more than likely be black or blue, it is a 50-50 chance since Mudmask would carry dilute from her mother Stormfrost.
Falconstar is mates with Flyflight, a black smoke. If the two of them could have kits, it'd be a 50-50 chance of their kits being smokes or regular solids. However, both Falconstar and Flyflight are cis toms, so not possible.
So now, there is only one mystery in this whole family tree. Who is Redwing's dad? If you want to make a guess, go on ahead and give a reason.
And if anyone wants me to put down another family tree from my characters on here or the canon warrior cats (I might regret that) the ask box is always open. Also, for those of you who made it this far, thank you. I appreciate you reading through this whole lengthy post.

Cats of the Past
There are many cats that reside in Starclan and the Dark forest. However, due to how many cats there are, I'll only be posting art of the key cats that are important to the clans' history (Founders/founding cats) or deceased cats that are important to the plot whether through influence from Starclan/the Dark Forest or due to how their actions in life affect those after them. All other cats will be on a list in order by how long they've been deceased.
Founding Cats:
Thicketstar has often been nicknamed the mother of all the clans due to how most of the other clan founders were related to her. She came from another group of clans that met a tragedy, along with other cats from those clans. She was the first of the clan leaders, and it's the founding of Thicketclan and passing on the knowledge of warrior clan ways that she is noted for. While strict and stern, Thicketstar was not an otherwise noteworthy leader.
Bobbystar was the founder of Gorgeclan, and many cats generations later would forget her true name and refer to her as Gorgestar. She was the leader of a very small clowder that resided in the gorge Gorgeclan would call home. A young apprentice from Thicketclan fell in and was found by the clowder, the event starting off the meeting between the two groups and Bobby being inspired to take on some of the clan's ways and use them for her small group. She was very much noted as a kind and motherly sort of cat, with tales of how large she was constantly passed down even after her name was forgotten.
The founders of Sunclan were Sunnystar and Moonstar. Sunnystar was the child of Thicketstar and the youngest of the cats who came to the area after Thicketstar's original clans' fate occurred. Headstrong and fierce, their way of doing since is balanced out with their mate, the calmer Moonstar. Moonstar had been from the clowder-turned-clan that Bobbystar was the leader of. Their dual leadership started the long tradition Sunclan would have of having two of each high rank.
Palestar founded Floodclan in an attempt to use the land that the other three at the time weren't as suited for. An intelligent, but rather insecure cat, she had relied heavily on her mate and children prior to trusting other cats, leading to her starting Floodclan's more monarchist ways of leadership inheritance, regardless of how accidental it was. This reliance would also lead to Palestar picking one of her sons, Fernrunner, only for one of her other sons Creekmane to murder Fernrunner in cold blood and have the mother send him into exile. Her death later at his claws in a battle between Floodclan and Creekmane's newly founded Creekclan, succeeded by her daughter Mothstar. Her name, like Bobbystar, has been mostly forgotten, often referred to by cats of the present as 'Floodstar,' with her tale more of one of caution, that family doesn't always mean those cats will be your most trustworthy.
After the exile from Floodclan, Creekstar founded Creekclan with rogues he recruited to his cause. While Palestar didn't much care for the legacy Thicketstar or Sunnystar left behind, Creekstar did and strived to be a great warrior a leader. While he succeeded in killing his mother in battle, he was taken down by his sister who took the leadership afterward, Mothstar. His and Palestar's tale is used by many in the clans as a tale of caution, and the clan he founded in hate and grief is now known as the kindest and 'softest' clan, something that he rages about from the Dark Forest.
Amberfall was Thicketclan's founding medicine cat and was the one to find the Moon Falls used to communicate with Starclan. Superstitious to the end, she paired well with Thicketstar when it came to preserving the traditions they and the other founding members of their new clan had known.
Yellowthunder was not the first deputy of Sunclan, but rather the second deputy picked when Sunnystar and Moonstar officially decided to have two of each high rank. Despite the rise in rank, Yellowthunder's tales of her battles and great deeds of aiding the great territory the beginning Sunclan took over are her legacy. A legacy that continues as Sunclan has an array of cats with the prefix Yellow in her honor.
Talloak was Creekclan's first medicine cat, formerly a rogue that had resided by the Old Oak that is now part of Creekclan's territory. It was Talloak that spoke for Creekclan to remain when Creekstar was brought down in battle. Many who reside in Creekclan afterward have Talloak to thank for the clan's kinder and more welcoming attitude.

The In Between
Cats here are those who don't belong in either Starclan or the Dark Forest, and act as guides for the recently deceased to head to their suited afterlife. Gorsestar is the most recent of them to pop up, having been a decent deputy and leader in his youth, but after a tragic fire incident, his daughter's betrayal, and elderly age began to affect his mind, did many questionable and or out-right bad actions, such as the attack on his great-granddaughter Junipercloud.
There are obviously not many cats who end up here.

Creekclan
The Lucky
Creekclan is known as the lucky clan, not for the fact that the clan seems to have plenty of good luck, but rather the belief that if it’s not for whatever luck the clan has, it feels should have been wiped out ages ago. This thought is not even only from the other clans and is in fact often shared among Creekclan’s own members. No one seems to know how despite all the troubles that tend to affect the five clans from time to time, Crrekclan seems to be remarkably spared from the worst or simply not affected at all, or even to just something more basic in how little prey may have for all of the other territories during a particularly harsh leaf-bare and yet Creekclan always by some fortunate turn of events have enough fresh kill for all of its members. As a result, Creekclan is often a clan seen with jealousy from the other clans, especially after a hard time, while many of the clan’s own members have tended to grow lazy over the years.
Typical Traits:
Stocky body types (mostly styled after British Shorthair in particular), often diluted colors, short muzzles, and odd features, such as overbites, underbites, oversized ears, etc.
Territory:
The creek that runs from Creekclan’s border with Gorgeclan branches out into more creeks to run along its border with Sunclan and Floodclan, with one creek going on to run right through the middle of the territory. The rest of the territory is forest-filled with the exception of a large lake the main creek in the middle flows into.
Clan Roster:
Leader:
Patridgestar, a mostly white, blue rosetted spotted tabby she-cat, with short fur, no tail, and amber eyes.
Deputy:
Rootjump, a short-haired, chocolate tom, with hazel eyes, a missing limb, large curled ears, and an underbite.
Medicine Cat:
Pineleaf, an elderly caramel classic tabby, and white tom, with short fur, and yellow eyes.
