i love that Taichi's friends Yoko and Yasu have picked up on the flirty/romantic undercurrents of Taichi and Kouhei's relationship and just kind of quietly support it? they tease him, but they're gentle about it, and obviously mean well- they care about Taichi's feelings and they don't care that it's a boy he's involved with, they just care that he's found someone who makes him happy.

i don't like Maya, but i loved that when they met her, Yoko was more focused on her being cute and inviting her to dinner than anything else- when Kouhei told him she had a hearing problem, he also immediately adjusted his behaviour to try to make it easier for her to understand what he was saying, and there was no hesitation in still wanting to involve her. at the dinner they both were trying to include her in the conversation and were being considerate of her, offering to refill her drink, etc.

this show is just full of good beans and i love it.

I'd LOVE to know more! It's on sale and I considered getting it because I recognized the name from your posts, I'd love to hear more about it from you before I make a decision

of course!! So basically, the story revolves around these urban legends called the "Seven Mysteries" and various characters trying to learn the truth about them in order to further their own goals. The player switches between several main characters & their sidekicks, all of whom are pretty different but all very likeable! There’s a lot of alternate timeline stuff as well which is super cool.

The only romance is like very minor background mentions, and there's no creeping or gross flirty comments. There's some language, cigarette & alcohol use, etc., as well as of course lots of murder. There's plenty of disturbing imagery, but the gore is mostly limited to dialogue and written descriptions. There's also lots of flickering and flashing effects, although I believe the chromatic aberration effect can be disabled for easier viewing.

The puzzles include looking for clues around 360-degree environments, picking dialogue options, choosing when and how to use your characters' powers, etc. The game gives you a conversation log and detailed info about characters and setting in order to help you solve the puzzles. They're not too difficult, but they do require thought and are often very creative!

Harue, a rich housewife who's disturbingly comfortable with the idea of murder

First, I want to say that this will have a lot of side notes. This reading was difficult.

Also, I did these questions in three days, didn’t read the answers until yesterday. I was surprised. Lots of words and situations matched 🥲🫠.

Did John ever felt something romantic about Paul?

I would say yes.

What the cards are telling me is that at the beginning he felt something, but regretted immediately. He saw how Paul would do things for him, and even maybe a little bit flirty, but he just couldn’t do anything about it, and it was exhausting. Eventually he “accepted” Paul in his life and even he felt he was like a part of him - like a unit, a marriage. The timing was so good because he felt all the right things about a love affair with him (he checked all his boxes), but he thought it wasn’t enough. He knew in a way what he had, but it was torturing him. So he thought in a way to keep Paul near, maybe without these things that made him insecure. The thing is that his plan in a way made them stuck. He felt that he had all controlled but he failed. He took a lot of time to actually do something, that’s why he thought he lost him. I think after all these events he tried to use more his head. But affections still remained.

Related to this question, I didn’t want to have doubts, because easily you can say that these words are platonic, so I directly asked:

Was John in love with Paul?

Energy: When I was shifting the cards I thought immediately of “In my life”. And guys, I haven’t heard that song in months. I felt crazy 😭.

Also, what I felt was something tender, beautiful. Probably the nicest feeling I had during John’s readings.

Answer:

I think John felt something very pure for Paul at the beginning. He didn’t know what exactly it was, what he knew, was that this feeling was progressively growing, until he realised it was love. He thought of leaving it until it cooled, but something drastically changed everything and he had to become aware of what it was happening. He had to be strong, because he was feeling happiness. What he couldn’t see clearly is what he got with this situation: there were true and pure feelings, they were right in front of him, he “won”. I think this situation was the beginning of him trying to think that maybe, his love dreams could be true, that he could be “himself”. I think in a way he felt so sure of this that maybe thought that Paul would always be there, doing what he wanted. I think John actually loved him, even when he was married to Yoko. I didn’t take more cards, but I could see him suffering, and thinking about his old, estranged fiancé.

Was John attracted to Paul?

I think in a way, yes. But he didn’t put a name on it. I think John thought a lot about Paul in the beginning, but they were “nice”, innocent thoughts. But that doesn’t mean that he didn’t think good of them. Actually lots of those for him were wrong. When he actually had the chance to do something about it, it wasn’t like he expected. It was like it wasn’t enough. I think for John, Paul’s answer was kind of condescending (acted like a cunt, honestly 😂) and immediately thought that he was wrong. That made him confused for some time, but in other occasions he would think of how would it felt, almost like it was a dream. But it was HIS DREAM, you know? I think these memories made him want to go for more, but the answer that he was expecting took a long time. I would say probably never came. I think he wanted to try these kind of experiences with other people, but realised it was all shit. Because he knew what he wanted 🔪🫶. I have more cards but I think this was answered. I think he was attracted to Paul, but was difficult to convey with this emotions.

After I did the love question, I couldn’t stop thinking why “In my life” would be in my head. So I thought, am I crazy or this was real? So, I asked:

About the energy: In this question I felt really bad. Like I thought I was going to cry. It was very heavy. I was so worried after I had the answer that I needed more info. That’s why I asked you about Cynthia’s book. I’ll give you the answer and some of my opinions.

Answer:

I think yes at least a 60%. Why? The cards are showing in the beginning the content of the song. Happy memories that happened in the past. But when he made the song, he was heartbroken. This song, was one of the actions John did to preserve a relationship, so they would stay in the same stage as before. But he wasn’t in control of this. He tried to do something, to talk, but the answer took a lot of time.

Now opinions:

I wanted to have more info about Cynthia because the answer is about how he didn’t want to lose someone. That song was kind of a “present”. I downloaded yesterday in a shady side (😂) the book “John”. I didn’t read it entirely because it was nighttime and I like having my melatonin to rest decently (😂). The book didn’t give me that much though. It was like for Cynthia everything was okay until John started with the drugs 😭. I don’t know about John though, I remembered reading about how bad that period was for him. But I think here I just need more data. But that’s the answer.

Did John want more than a kiss with Paul during Paris?

Yes. But I think he realised that in “the moment”. I don’t see him thinking about this before. Probably he “felt” something, but it wasn’t awaken until Paris. I think he did some kind of proposition, but Paul…I don’t think ignored it entirely, it was like…he dodged it 😭. That obviously didn’t make John happy. I think actually he tried to propose something again, but Paul wasn’t really sure. It was like an agreement what they did in the end. “We can do this but in two more years” (example). So Paul didn’t deny the proposition, but it wasn’t in that moment that happened (if it did 🥲). At this point I see John with the idea still in his mind. Now, as a reader I wonder why Paul didn’t give him a concrete answer 🤔.

There was something with sexual undertones in Paris?

Energy: In this reading I wanted to cry too 😂😭

I think there was this overall attitude of “yeah, we are relaxed! Nothing could destroy this vibe!”, but it was just to keep it cool and to deny the possibility of digging more on what actually was going on. If I’m honest, I don’t feel the vibe of full sex happening. Probably was just the kiss. Or the kiss with some touching, but no more. I think one of them while they were in this trip saw the bigger picture and told the other that he wasn’t sure about that kind of stuff, and the other felt defeated, because he had already set in his mind what could actually happen (he wanted more 🫠) . I think the “confused” one tried to impose some kind of “order”, probably giving the other part something that kept him happy for some time, until they “forget” the business. The thing is…he didn’t forget it 😭.

So that’s all for today. Reading this was heavy. I ended up thanking John for his energy (even If he wanted me to cry 😭😂). Probably this was harder for him that we could imagine.

If her obsession plays at a club or plays in front of a crowd you can bet that you can spot Yoko somewhere in the crowd with a smile on her face, she will only have eyes for her obsession while they are on the stage and afterwards she will praise her obsession for their performance.

She will brag about anyone how good her obsession is but if someone gets too flirty or makes too many compliments for Yoko to be comfortable you can bet that they will end up missing or end up dead with a lot of blood missing. Yoko is very protective of her obsession and will most likely check out a venue if her obsession has not played in that before to check if it's safe and if it's not a health hazard to play in there. Yoko is known along her obsessions fans for being her obsession's bodyguard like girlfriend and that she is not to be crossed with unless you want to end up with broken bones and in a ditch somewhere six feet under. Yoko will make sure that her obsessions lives go well and anyone who tries to mess things up for her obsession will have very angry vampires going after them because Yoko will ask other vampires and nevermore students to keep an eye out for troublemakers (you can bet that Yoko makes sure that people love her obsession, just not in the romantic way).

- Paul and John are so non-plussed about how stupid each other are this entire month. I love them.

“Wait a minute, I'd like to talk to you, (Y/N),” Marilyn told you, at the end of class.

You smiled mischievously and sat back down, gesturing for Yoko to continue without you.

“Have I done something wrong, Miss Thornhill?” You asked pouting.

You were that way, always so affectionate with everyone. Your classmates said that sometimes you were too cute, but you didn't care. You had been like this for 20 years, and you would probably be like that for 20 more. Your vampiric nature told you that you had to be more reserved, more introverted. Crap. You didn't know how to be any other way.

You didn't just enjoy your exaggerated displays of affection for everyone, there was something else. Marilyn Thornhill, your botany teacher. Cheerful, kind, affectionate and normi. You couldn't deny yourself the attraction you felt towards her, it would be absurd. But you saw her so shy, so innocent. Her eyes didn't say the same. You had seen enough eyes in your life to be sure of that. Your great desire and illusion was to get that poor woman mad, and throw all possible hints at her.

“No, you haven't done anything wrong, (Y/N), I just wanted to talk to you about the work about wild flowers you gave me last week,” she said, smiling as always. You sighed feigning frustration.

“Talk? Just talk?” You asked. You noticed that she blushed a little and made a strange face. She cleared her throat and went over to her desk to get the documents she was telling you about.

“Um... Well, first of all, I have to say that it's an excellent essay, like all the ones you do,” she said, with a slightly nervous voice.

Another hint that she hadn't taken, or she hadn't wanted to. You found it frustrating and exciting at the same time. How long would it take to realize your intentions? It was a funny challenge.

“I suppose that now comes the ‘but,’” you said with the soft and affectionate voice that you used to use. She nodded. You even seemed to see how her hands trembled.

“I think... I think the part where you say that "no flower can be compared to you" is a bit out of context,” she told you, pointing out the phrase in question. You looked at her and smiled mischievously. Of course, you had not put it by chance. You pretended to be surprised.

“Oh, what a mistake. I probably got confused. It's just that I was watching a love movie while I was writing… and I got a little distracted,” you said dragging your words. You leaned forward to pretend to take a closer look at the sentence, but not before brushing against the redhead's hand. Marilyn pulled away instantly.

“Well… Eh… It's okay,” she said, going back to her desk. You wanted to scream with rage. You couldn't be more direct, and it seemed that she didn't even flinch. “I'll ignore it, besides, the rest of the teachers also speak wonders about you.”

“Really?” You asked, surprised by that statement.

“Yeah. Everyone says that you are very friendly and hard-working…” She told you, leaning on the table.

“And what do you think?” You asked. Your mind was racing too fast trying to find a good answer.

“Me? I don't think they care much about my opinion. Whenever I try to have a conversation they ignore me. Anyway, I don't want to bore you with my problems.”

You got up, having a perfect opportunity to tighten the rope even more.

“Do you know why they act like this?” You asked. Marilyn shook her head, frowning. “Because you are smart, kind… They envy you.”

Her redhead laughed in surprise.

“What a nonsense,” she said between laughs. “But thank you, you are very kind.”

So the days passed. Your subtle jokes stopped being so subtle. You always attacked, with any excuse. Marilyn seemed unaware of anything. You started to get tired of her ignorance and what was worse, you started to think that you didn't interest her at all. You knew a vampire was hard to turn down.

“Kind? Let's see if she is able to resist this,” you said while you put on a slightly special outfit. You didn't usually dress so elegantly, but you were convinced that this would be the day you would set the record straight.

“Where are you going with those looks, (Y/N)?” Your roommate asked. You looked yourself in the mirror and shrugged.

“To take a walk.”

“A walk? It seems that you are looking for war,” she told you, amused. You stuck out your tongue at her mockingly.

Showing your belly button was not very typical of those dates, but you had to take advantage of the fact that the sun was hidden among the clouds. You would not need too much protection for your skin. The cleavage was low, very suggestive, matching the short length of your skirt.

There was movement in the conservatory. Surely the redhead was there, trying to spend her loneliness next to her beloved plants.

You timidly opened the door and the woman was startled to see you, hiding something behind her back.

“(Y/N), you scared me,” she said nervously. You smiled

“I'm sorry, I was really bored and I wanted to stop by here,” you said with a slightly childish tone.

Marilyn nodded, recovering from her shock, and then she stared at you.

“Aren't you cold?” She asked, not taking her eyes off your clothes. You shook your head and bit your lip.

“I'm a vampire, remember?”

“Sur... Sure...” She stammered. “If you're looking for fun, you won't find it here. I'm preparing some things for tomorrow's class,” she said, finally revealing what she had behind her back. They looked like some chemicals or something like that.

“Oh… Are we finally going to do something funny?” You asked jokingly, not giving it more importance.

She smiled and shook her head.

“You always have an answer for everything,” she told you, sighing.

“You know me,” you said, moving a little closer. Marilyn took a few steps back as you approached.

You told yourself enough of the niceties. The redhead's face, completely puzzled, told you that you were on the right track.

“Can I do something for you?” She asked as her back collided with her desk, making those strange vials shake.

“I don't know… Can you?” You asked, picking up one of those vials curiously. Marilyn snatched it from you immediately.

“Do not touch it! I'm still working on it. If it breaks and you come into contact with that liquid you could die,” she told you terrified, putting the vial to a safety place.

“I like danger…” You whispered, completely cornering the redhead. “I love  when my heart beats so fast, see for yourself.”

Without giving it any more thought, you took her hand and brought it to your chest, letting it rest on it gently while you closed your eyes. You could not see her face, but you could hear her breathing quicken. Suddenly, she pulled her hand away.

“What are you doing, (Y/N)?” She asked you with a frown. You shrugged.

“Nothing.”

“Don't take me for a fool!” She shouted unexpectedly. Her gaze was filled with anger. At last her patience had reached her limit, and you couldn't be happier about it. You smiled ignoring her abrupt tone.

“I don't know what you're talking about…” You said indifferently. Marilyn's eyes widened and her lips pursed. She was really mad and you kept pulling the string.

“You lie! You've been after me for months. Making fun of me. You don't leave me alone. What have I done to you? Have I treated you badly? Does it offend you that I am normi?” She asked nervously. You shook your head, trying not to laugh.

“I would never make fun of you…- You said amused.”

The redhead tightened her grip and her face did not even look the same.

She had completely lost control of herself. There was no trace of kindness or good intentions in her words. She had become dangerous, just like in your darkest dreams.
