OMG I FORGOT TO TELL YALL ABOUT THE EVENT!! i went to see the front bottoms live last week. it was AMAZING omg i ruined my voice singing all the songs at the top of my lungs. i also got so excited i had a panic attack and had to leave early </3 but it was really fun otherwise

my sister went with me and i think i got her into tfb because of it. she'd listened to the popular ones like be nice to me before but they played peace sign and she got really into it and then afterward told me she really liked what she heard

in every tfb song theres that one lyric or twenty seconds of drums that you could listen to for a week on repeat and makes you entirely feral every time you hear it

I love The Front Bottoms! What are your favorite songs by them?

I too am a huge TFB fan:) My favorite song is Twin Sized Mattress, and that's one of my favorite all time songs as now I have a bunch of memories attached to it.

Love the whole self titled and the Talon of the Hawk album, as well as a lot of the early stuff. Jim Bogart, Be Nice to me, Flashlight, Maps, Father, Lone Star, Swear to God the Devil Made Me Do It, etc.

I love tfb too!!! I’m going to a St.Louis show in August. Do you like outlook or punching bag better? I’ve had outlook on repeat since it came out, but punching bag has similar vibes to bathtub and it always makes me angsty.

yo !!!! that is SO SICK !! be careful if you're in the pit !! that shit is the most WILD pit i have ever been in but that show was a life changing experience.

also !!! i definitely listened to outlook an INSANE amt and i think i've worn it out some. like i do LOVE the song but i've heard it so many times atm i need a little break from it. however - the bridge KILLS me. dead. <3

i think i prefer punching bag bc i absolutely LOVE the fact that it has the riff from flashlight <33 obsessed with it to be honest also just like !!! the metaphor that i feel like that song is is insane <3

TFB RANT POST AHEAD ‼️‼️

when brian sella mixes (the technical fancy singer term for the more nasally sound when he sings) it changes his voice a lot in a really impressive way.

i’ve been singing (professionally and not) since I was a little kid, and nobody i know can change their voice the way he does when he mixes.

I think one of the best examples is to listen to Flashlight (a lot of mixing) and Mountain (not mixing as much) and just really listen to the way his voice sounds.

it’s like, a crazy cool difference. anyway! that was my little rant because im currently singing a tfb song for voice lessons and omfg it’s so hard to mimic the amazing mixing he does.
