i'm finally doing it. i'm finally making that stupid ass horror character analysis i promised myself to make like a month ago. and DAMN this shit is actually so fun ngl horrortale is so beautifully tragically written. i've been listening to SAS's horror theme the entire time i've been doing this because it's actually a pretty good theme for depicting horror ans i need to get into a HIM mood. this sets the tone. my hands are so sweaty but i also have my fan blasting at me so i don't know why the hell i'm so sweaty wtf. anyways idk when i'll finish this but it'll be soon TRUST (i need this character analysis more than anyone 💀💀 this doc is just a first draft since horror is like wayyy more complex than i originally thought wtf)

Uploaded Bishi Bashi Touhou to Internet Archive, I converted the game files to english so people wouldn't, hopefully, need to change Locales to play it.
It's a pretty simple game control wise but you have to be quick.
Right now, the audio cuts out on round two, I'll have to fix that later.

LOST MEDIA: Gorillaz - Plastic Beach Web Games
I come to you tonight with one request: I want help in tracking down the Plastic Beach point-and-click adventure game from the Phase 3 (2010-2012) Gorillaz website.
In 2010, coinciding with the release of their third studio album, British virtual band Gorillaz gave their website a huge overhaul, including the release of several new flash games. The centerpiece was a point-and-click adventure game (untitled, usually just referred to as "Plastic Beach") in which the player was able to explore the island of Plastic Beach, similar to the games available on earlier websites where the player was able to explore Gorillaz HQ Kong Studios.
Along with this game were a few others: Escape to Plastic Beach, a three chapter long action/adventure game (the third chapter of which cost €1.50 to play, and was available both for PC and iPhones.) Just recently the developer, Matmi, hinted at trying to re-release these, but they went silent regarding it and nothing has come of it so far.
There were also two smaller Flash titles, Submatronic and Gorillaz Fishing. Not entirely sure what these two entailed but they were listed on the website and, like the adventure game and Escape are not playable via the Wayback Machine nor are they archived elsewhere.
From my research, it seems the website had some kind of DRM software that the older websites (which have been archived over at zombiehiphop.xyz) didn't, since the Plastic Beach game used full tracks from the album and EMI was worried about piracy. Before anyone suggests it like was done in other places where I've asked about this, no, the game was not released on a CD or DVD. Because of this, all four games unique to the Plastic Beach era website are lost. The iPhone port of Escape to Plastic Beach was also removed from the App Store years ago, and as such is also completely lost.
As of right now, all that still exists are low-quality videos of the adventure game in action, a few screenshots, and a handful of Flash files I've dug up from the Wayback Machine.
The loss of this game represents not just a loss for Flash preservation, but a huge loss for Gorillaz fans as it was an integral element of the story of the Plastic Beach era. Without it and much of the other content from the old website, the already incomplete story that Jamie Hewlett and the rest of the Zombie Flesh Eaters team were trying to tell lives on almost wholly through secondary accounts. While recordings exist, it is simply not the same as having access to the full experience.
I ask of you all to please consider my words and help me do something about this, instead of wallowing in hopelessness as it seems the community has been doing for oh so long now.
Thank You.

So I may have some personal lost media. Well- I don't mean personal lost media as in a TOMT thing like real tooth fairies. I mean lost media that is just very personal to me.
There was this typing game that we used to play in elementary school, and I forget what it was called but this was the only image I could find from looking up what i remember: "Home Row Keys kangaroo typing game"
Tumblr media
This seems to be all I can find for this, as searching up Kandy the Kangaroo only brings up someone's fnaf oc (who seems really cool, but that's besides the point.)
There is also this video which seems to have some bits from the actual learning.com game with kandy, but it's not all there.
the original kandy game doesnt seem to exist anymore, having been replaced with "Spelling bee"
Tumblr media
It doesnt even seem to be doing it by rows anymore, just in alphabetical order. I played through a bit of it, and it doesnt even seem to be remotely the same game anymore.
If anyone has any gameplay of the original Kandy the Kangaroo typing game, please upload it. Especially the racing bit. I vividly remember having to type fast and correctly to beat kandy, and if you didnt, you got a rotten egg as a prize.
I cant even seem to find it on the wayback machine, since it prompts a sign in.

PLAY IT HERE
This was one of my favorite computer games along with it being my favorite Sonic fangame, it was pretty fun to play and I used to play it in computer labs during elementary school. It was a really good homage to the 2D-platformer Sonic games especially ‘Sonic Advance’ (I love their sprites SM..) and it was my only access to some classic games of that franchise growing up along with the cartoon shows too. 💙🔥⚡️💚

Does anyone know if there are ANY traces of the Trollz (2005) website out there other than the archived homepage and like. One animated storybook? Anyone know how to rip the assets?
The fact that this entire franchise has basically no online archiving (only one single mention in the entire flashpoint server and no actual media within the release) is a real damned shame, I’d love to at least collect all the assets together in one place, or even use them to build an html-based “recreation” of sorts that at least let you click around and explore the site again.

I've uploaded Touhou Illusion Chain - Touhou Phantasmagoria- (Touhou Gensou Rensa) to Internet Archive, including the 1.51 Netplay(?) patch.
It's a solid but small game, only 7 characters but a lot of care put in.
When you start the game the second option at the top of the set-up will put the game in windowed mode.
I don't know how to unlock all the characters, but you can definitely buy all the game's music in-game.
