If you ever get around to C2 or if you decide to watch M9 whenever it comes out on Amazon, you’d absolutly go FEREL for Fjordjester.

It’s the C2 Pikelan — it’s literally a very charismatic Support class (Scanlan and Jester) who hopelessly falls in love with the down-to-earth tank/spell-caster (Pike and Fjord) and their entire dynamic is character growth first, romance second.

I absolutely plan to watch CR2 (or at least listen to it on commutes, I get to watch about 10%)! I already watched the first couple of episodes (and spoiled myself on many story points, oops) and I love these characters a lot. I have no doubts I'll like the ships, but if Pikelan took me by surprise it's because, like I said, I rarely ship at all and even more rarely with that intensity. BUT like I said, I already love them lots.

(It SENDS me though that Fjord looks like such a down-to-earth almost awkward gentleman when his stats appear so similar to Scanlan's. Good actors/players 💜)

Fjord has discovered that after being on the sea for so long, his balance and dexterity are just so much more fine tuned to being on the water than on land

hi! do you read fjordjester fic? would you happen to have recommendations?

Hello! I don't read a lot of fic overall. I tend to have overly picky taste and a pretentiously high bar, and sometimes fics are well executed and well written but the concept isn't something I'm interested in. This leaves me with not a lot of fics to read and recommend. I do have two recommendations, though!

If you're looking for an ongoing chaptered fic, I am enjoying "There You Go Making My Heart Beat Again" by @serpentsandtricksters. It's a Modern AU following Jester and Fjord as they try to settle into their new situations. Jester is living on her own for the first time and is settling into her job baking for a teashop. Fjord is caring for Vandran, who recently suffered a career-ending injury, and is doing work as a handyman around the neighborhood. The pair of them meet after Vandran, looking for something to do with himself, joins Jester's romance book club, and Fjord agrees to Jester's request that he teach her how to do repair work around her house.

For something canonical, "All Comes Crashing" by @utilitycaster (as as she's called it, the Fjord depression hours fic) follows Fjord as he processes where the two-shot leaves him emotionally, particularly structured around Shelda's death. It's a Fjord-centric fic, but it is a Fjorester fic in that it is significantly about their relationship as a foundation and support through that.
