I was cute at 198 and I’m still cute at 299. Nothing and no one will EVER put me back in that old mindset of hate and embarrassment of my size. It‘s always been hard for me to internalize body positivity but there’s a weightlessness to not giving a damn what anyone thinks.
To whoever needs to hear this today: there is no shame in being big! A skinny body does not equal a healthy body, and healthy bodies look different on everyone. You are beautiful and you don’t have to lose weight to be worthwhile. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Extremely grateful for YouTube & all the fitness channels. I need to move & sweat everyday for at least an hour to support my mental & emotional wellbeing (even on days where the entire globe is not flipped upside down) Christine Salus & MadFit are my two favorites - in case anyones looking for some recommendations for at home work outs

I like the slow-motion feature that allows me to analyze my start. I’m not young and not competing for anything but wanted to improve my sprint times. Finding ways to challenge oneself and improve are characteristics of s good trainer. 🔹 In the slow-no vid, I overstepped before rising up and wasted some energy. Still it’s fun and challenging. I’ve already beaten my challenge time. fitblr and anorexia
I hate how im someone who likes exercising and focusing on strength, but i’m recovering from anorexia and that leads to a problem whether fitblr, random youtube vids or strenght training sites, the heavy encouragement and talk about weight loss and diet
you see as someone whos recovering from anorexia i have to be ok with the idea of gaining lots of fat and still be good with body image, i personally like calisthenics cause how much you can move your body in various ways and so could be someone with lots of fat (and deemed “unhealthy”) but rather fit and able to move around a lot. so sometimes i have an urge to see people with more weight doing that...but searching that or weight lifting usually isnt pro body positive, they encourage weight loss, caloric restriction (bad) and it can be rather vile (searching fitblr right now, the most popular one is “don’t listen to your inner fatty, she’s an evil b***. She misses bread.” how self destructive and vile (missing bread makes evil too) and i will state, this kinda vile shit influenced in a rather bad way my anorexia in the past the only talk about weight gain is men talking about getting “big” and by that they mean aesthetically appeasing size over strength for muscles, and a few woman saying similiar. shoot stating your “unhealthily” underweight to people who like to exercise, and stressing unhealthy, will get people telling how to build muscle to look more toned and good and not any for body fat (i know cause yeah) and this has happened when i had lower then essential body fat percent whats funny about this, is if i had a higher body fat percent, i would have an easier time gaining lean muscle, many athletes state that they like training at a certain amount because lower is worse. this of course is ignoring the numerous amount of health detriments to low body fat sooth the only time any of us got people remotely willing to help us wasd lune talking to a “fit/izen” 4chan...that was interested in having us as gf and force feeding us for weight gain cause fetishes (NO). and infact fitness trainers seem to not even recognize the want to gain even a bit of fat even when i looked absolutyely sickly cause how skinny(from my experience, each called me crazy, said good to have none cause then muscles will look better...i am crazy from schizophrenia but still) whats even funnier. exercise has been shown to not cause weight loss, the main reason is a mix of will be afterword tempted to avoid other things would like taking the stairs, and it increases your appetite. and a lot claim that well hunter gatherers used more energy, when in reality they use roughly the same according to studies. exercise can be a gtreat way to get fit and in shape and can help with various mental problerms (i know it helps with my schizophrenia) and i like doing it, but because of all the vile above i often worry when even checking online to make sure form is right cause worry of increasing anorexic thoughts but i know i can keep exercising as long as i eat well (and by that i of coruse dont mean fitblr calroic restriction)

Sharing Saturday Super Shoutouts
So posting the first of what I hope is a somewhat regular thing today was a bit nerve wrecking. It’s been a while since I’ve written anything remotely serious. It’s a start and hope y'all liked it. Whether you did or not, let me know with a comment, message or anon ask.
None of this would’ve been possible without some awesome people, some I’ve talked with others haven’t, but they’re cool and you should check them out regardless.
@wrenberries I cannot thank her enough for the brief encouragement and proofread and feedback she gave. Plus all the nerdy and fitness discussions back and forth the past week. Truly a friend. Was worried I would just end up sounding like an unintelligible nut. Glad I didn’t, that or we’re both commonly afflicted.
@fitandjiggly Though she did not have any direct input on my writing, her Friday Favorites (which she graciously tagged me to do) did have me thinking about trying my own thing. My Sharing Saturday may not be a weekly but I’ll try to churn one out when I can. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
@fatmaninalittlesuit So I’ve never chatted with him outside of a quick anon but kept seeing posts from him popping up. His unconventional challenges always intrigued me. Especially his one that had other fitblrs break through and make vids or posts of themselves introducing them to the rest of the community. Liked all of them, seriously look them up if you’re ever curious about your fellows or want to discover others on a journey. His desire to foster a welcoming community is nothing shy of angelic. Which made me hope I could similarly contribute.
