also if anyone knows what species these fish are, please tell me. theyre like 2 months old already, but i still dont know what they are

i mean theyre my beautiful stowaway fish children and i will always love them no matter what, but i dont even know what tank size they need

edit lol : traced a photo of one of them cuz i realized that u cant see their weird aah dorsal fin cuz of terrible quality (i only know a few species with fins like this, and im pretty sure theyre none of those)

Small lake, big catch

As I wrote in a previous blog, I've been doing a fair amount of fishing out on the big lake, but not much catching.

On Thursday my brother, who has a place near Charlevoix, took me out on his small lake (about 80 acres, with a maximum depth of 14 feet) to fish for bluegills.

The set-up was as simple as it gets: a chunk of nightcrawler on a small hook and a bobber). The action was more than lively. In less than two hours we caught about 40 blue gills, 20 of which were genuine keepers.

Well, the babies are nearly a month old now, so I think it's time for them to move into a bigger setup to grow up some more. So tonight will be their last night in the container. Tomorrow, I'll be moving them into the 10 gallon with the rice fish to grow up. Then in about 6 months I'll move them from my 10 gallon to my 40gal long to live with their parents.

Wednesday, November 8 fish fry at Natalie's Mediterranean Eatery. Fried fish, fries, bread, and some mac salad. Pretty good, and VERY generous portions. Might come back again if I need a ton of food for low price...
