Colleagues know that me and mum love frozen desserts. We have eaten those fish-shaped taiyaki ice cream from Chateraise and love it. They informed me about the Samanco Ice Cream Sandwich (S$8.10 for a pack of 4s) on sale at our local NTUC supermarket. These frozen confections are made in South Korea by Binggrae and comes in quite a few flavours like strawberry, chocolate, red bean and the two below that I bought. The Samanco Green Tea & Red Bean Ice Cream Sandwich comes with matcha flavoured ice cream plus sweetened red beans. Outside it are two halves of wafer fish which is no longer crispy as expected.

The Samanco Mixberry Ice Cream Sandwich (S$8.96) is the latest available flavour so there is no discount for it. This taiyaki is filled with vanilla ice cream and a thin layer of mix berries syrup giving it a fruity tang. Between the two flavours, I much preferred the latter as the berries flavour is far more refreshing.

oblivious gang 🎉🎉🎉 i went to look at the stars with a male friend and the whole time i was thinking "this is great guys never want to do this stuff with their friends" and then he kissed me when he dropped me off and i was BAFFLED. i texted my friend about it and he basically said "you were on a date dipshit"

No but looking at the stars is so fun, so I totally get why you would've been like "this is a great friendship experience"

I love not associating romance with anything. I have too much whimsy and love in my heart. As if that's my fault.

Day 12?? i guess??

after maturing and going out on their own, one of Fake's Fakelings came across a huge body of water, a place that made the froggy-senses in their brain tingle with glee. at first, the water made them runny, their body unable to hold moisture well, just like their parent. but unlike with him, the sensation wasn't bad, and they loved the cool, wet feeling of the water around them. so their body began to adapt, getting comfortable with the aquatic place they'd called home. a longer tail, webbed limbs for swimming, and skin that didn't fall apart in the water; and so, it gave rise to the only Fake that can withstand water:

here is Pisceno! they spend almost all of their time in the water now, being outside it makes their skin dry out and it quite uncomfy. they're quite shy as well, hiding out in the deepest parts of lakes and ponds to avoid being spotted. but this comes to their advantage as well, as hiding in the dark makes it easy to hunt for delicious fish! they can swim as fast in water as Fake Peppino is on land, which is... quite the terrifying thought 👀💧

they are quite the skilled hunter, chasing fish and other aquatic creatures whenever they can. there's only one problem; they're not the only ones hunting fish in the lake they call home. there's rumors of an aquatic monster that snatches fish and lines from fisherman..... (but how can you blame them, when there's food being delivered to you on a line?)

I'm just imagining House Cat! Lynette and Nurse Shark! Furina, upon initially, having a staring contest as Furina peaks out from the edge.

Lynette is crouched close to the ground, her neck craning out as she tries to get a better look at the shark hybrid. Furina begins to crawl out of the water, coming closer to the kitty as some unspoken communication seems to pass between them as you see them getting closer and closer-

Only for Lynette to bap Furina right on the snout with her paw, causing the shark to flee back into the water.

NOOO POOR FURINA! BAD LYNETTE, DONT HIT THE SHARKS ON THE NOSE 😭😭

I can imagine Shark! Furina letting out a whine and skittering off with a huge splash, causing the Vet to look over and see House Cat! Lynette just sitting there and licking her hand, nonchalant as always and acting like she didn’t just bully a whole ass shark. Furina will eventually swim back to you as she wants you to rub the sensitive part of her nose (where Lynette bopped her) her eyes all teary and pathetic while Lynette stares at her with death in her eyes. If she could hunt shark hybrids too she would, but unfortunately Furina is too big for her to drag so she will settle with leaving Furina alone.

Considering that Nurse Sharks can be about 6-7 feet in length, it is astonishing that a cat hybrid as small as Lynette would fearlessly bap her. But well…Furina is a gentle baby. She doesn’t want to start a fight 🥺

Legacy doesn't come to shore often- ever. it's dangerous. there's litter and rotting nets scattered everywhere, and people. they're the worst of all, always looking to capture sea life. it wouldn't be so bad if they had to eat them- Foul Legacy understands, he has to eat, too- but they put them in cages and tanks to show off, especially anomalies like himself. so mostly he stays away, only occasionally investigating the rocky outcrops jutting away from the shore, dotted with barnacles and tiny scuttling crabs. he likes the crabs. they make for the perfect midday snack. but only when it's raining or cloudy- less humans milling about the area, so peculiar about what water they do and don't let onto their skin. the rain is like a soft, cool embrace to him, tilting his head back and allowing it to drizzle against the edges and valleys of his face

yet there's someone here today, sitting on the edge of the rocks. you cast a fishing line into the sea, legs crossed, adorned in a warm, sturdy jacket and boots. once in a while there's a tug on your line, reeling it back in and proclaiming whatever critter got stuck to the end as too small or just right. the little ones are gently tossed back into the sea. the others, set in a bucket of saltwater. you're quiet, and calm, raindrops beading on your hood

Foul Legacy is intrigued. his tail flicks, gradually pushing him closer until he's almost staring up at you. the rain and crashing waves allow him to get as close as he wants without you noticing, fins twitching and flaring curiously as he carefully reaches up, a fish grasped delicately in his talons. he sets it beside you, retreating just as quickly as he arrived when you turn to look

you blink. he blinks back at you, and his tail begins swishing underwater as you raise a hand to wave at him

I tried the ala carte 9-pcs Spicy Chicken McNuggets (S$7.80) from McDonald’s Singapore last week. These fried chicken nuggets are zinged up with cayenne pepper and chilli powder, so you get a subtle kick of heat. Dipping them into the curry sauce make them even nicer. Like the above burgers, this one is also available for a limited time only, so hurry, go try them before they are taken off the menu.

Mum had the Extra Value Meal of Filet-O-Fish (S$5.50) with the default medium French fries and a small drink. Actually, she only wanted the burger itself but I got her the set meal as it is more worth the money.

The Yubari Melon soft serve is also back for a limited time. Bought the Yubari Melon Cone (S$1.20) and eat it as I made my way to the supermarket at the basement level. The melon flavour is fragrant and the vanilla-based soft serve creamy though a tad sweet for me.

Mum said she craves some ice cream so I bought her back to McDonald’s and bought both the Yubari Melon Twist Cone and Yubari Melon Cone (S$1.20 each). I wouldn't normally buy the twist cone version but it is just for the camera. :D
