avengers x teen!reader headcanons

The Avengers are definitely reluctant to add another teenager to the team. Having Peter is great but has been a big adjustment, as they had to train him and protect him, less they face the wrath of Aunt May.

However, you were a compelling case, with your extensive abilities. You didn’t have many other options as to where to go and you hit it off with Peter right off the bat, working very well together as a pair. So, they took you in.

Tony worked with you on designs for your suit, Natasha and Steve trained you in combat (which meant you were going on morning runs with Steve and Sam. How fun . . . Though Sam could be convinced to give you piggy back rides, and you became Clint’s personal arrow-picker-upper. If you had powers, Wanda would definitely help you manage them.

Peter was naturally in tune to science, which meant you hung around the lab with him and Bruce a lot. It became a nice time to get your homework done, as Bruce would definitely help you with that. Sometimes you acted as Bruce’s and Peter’s assistant with their experiments.

Bruce was also a very good listener and your go-to person to vent to about your life’s problems (when Peter wasn’t around).

One of the conditions to be on the team was that you didn’t lapse in schoolwork, so they were very on top of that and your grades. Tony even offered to go to parent-teacher meetings. Any one of them were ready to go to your teachers or principal if anything happened.

Natasha would routinely check in with you to make sure that you weren’t being bullied.

Pepper also became a motherly figure, as she cared very much about you and Peter. She’d offer you a Stark Industries internship.

Movie nights were chaotic, but absolutely the best. It was hard for anyone to agree, so the team had a system where they’d rotate who got to pick the meeting. Sam and Peter were also not allowed to make popcorn after many unfortunate incidents. Most of the time you fell asleep late into the night and one of the Avengers carried you to bed (they’d never admit this, but that also became an argument).

It was during a movie night when Peter realized he liked you romantically. You fell asleep during a movie, your head on his shoulder. Peter swore he never experienced something so precious before. He was adamant to keep your peace, glaring at anyone who dared to talk.

The team found your growing romance to be adorable and often teased the two of you about it. The only people who didn’t tease you were Bruce, Pepper, and Thor (because he didn’t really understand how to effectively tease).

If Flash messed with you, Peter was always on top of it. He’d always protect you.

Steve was also always making sure that you knew right from wrong. He’d give long speeches about how it wasn’t right to smoke, drink, do drugs, etc.

Then Thor gave you Asgardian alcohol once, not realizing how bad that was considering you’re both human and underage. That was a mess. Peter having to hold your hair back when you vomited and multiple Avengers escorting you to bed. Thor got an earful about it.

Clint was one of the ones who better understood you, seeing as he had experience with his own kids. He was always good at mediating and defusing the tension.

Laura also adored you, you were her favorite babysitter for the kids. Whenever they went on date night, they’d drop the kids off at the tower, and you would watch them (Peter would help when he wasn’t on patrol).

Patrolling with Peter was also very fun. More often than not he’d convince you to take a break, then swing you up on top of a roof to watch over the city and the sky.

On multiple occasions, KAREN would rat the two of you out to Tony, but he was never mad. He just wanted to know all about the “date”.

Prom was also very fun. Honestly, the whole team would want to come pick out outfits with you and Peter. They took many, many pictures on the night of. Peter also teared up when he saw you. He thought you were stunning.

Of course, you guys had a curfew, but it was alright. You and Peter had a fantastic night. All he wanted to do was dance and hold you.

You had Happy wrapped around your finger. You could really convince him to drive you anywhere you wanted to go.

You also managed to get an internship at the Sanctum Santorum, learning more about magic under Doctor Strange and Wong’s guidance. The Avengers weren’t particularly thrilled, as they were worried about you being hurt, but understood your want to explore.

You really wanted to see all the areas of being a hero. Clint taught you archery and Natasha taught you how to be a spy. You’d listen to Natasha and Clint’s spy stories for hours. Peter would have to pry you away.

Peter always insisted on having date nights and would go all out, making every date special. He’d do anything to make you happy.

And so would all the Avengers. They loved seeing you smile, it brightened up their whole world and made the team stronger.

I've rediscovered your work after awhile and was wondering if you'd ever return to TDIAHM

Tacking on this ask to get into more detail:

I wanted to rewrite it for a long long time, like even while I was still actively working on it.

If anyone remembers, the first TDIAHM stuff I posted was very loose, doodles, just situational (mostly) comedy comics on canvas. The “story” was the characters interacting with each other, and maybe there was a little bit of crime idk so many years ago right?

And to my surprise people liked it! I got contacted by Webtoons and they wanted a legit comic, fulltime. I said I could do it. I tried to work out the details, wrote as much in advance as possible, but things caught up to me. Not just the timeline of the comic, life in general.

I went on a couple hiatuses, survived a fire that burnt our neighbor’s house down, moved around, attempted to continue the comic best I could, scrounged for ideas that wouldn’t take too much time so I could actually live my life, it was affecting my relationship with my partner cause it’d take me like 80+ hours a week to finish, it was all so janky, I did it alone with a stressed brain and my tools/art are not streamlined for this work, then we lost some family members.

It was just all too much.

People grow and change. And looking back, I can’t be proud of the corners I cut and what I delivered. But the thing is I still love the idea. The characters and the world. I know I can do better and I will. On my own time. Which in a perfect world is how the creative process should go.

I’m actually done with the writing. Legit ending and everything. There wasn’t one before, so that’s something! What’s to come now are the parts that make any series consistently an easier load- a collection of assets like sheets for characters, objects, backgrounds. It’s gonna take me a bit, but we’ll get there 💪

Disclaimer; everyone’s counts will be different, people have different rules to their method of counting the Court Circular. It isn’t a definitive count and is done just for fun 💗

The court circular doesn’t record any work behind the scenes, only public engagements, official meetings and luncheons/dinners. It’s more a gauge of their public facing roles.

This year has been in no way easy in 2024, with health problems with HM The King and HRH The Princess of Wales, to the concussion accident with HRH The Princess Royal. Everyone banded together and the show went on! I cannot wait to see Catherine return to her duties next year 💗

👑 Princess Anne 👑

This year started off like any other year for the Princess Royal. She was the first royal to get back to work, on the 4th January. She and her husband, Sir Tim, were also the first royals to go on a royal tour in 2024, to Sri Lanka. Once she got back, the BRF as we knew it took a slight turn, the sad health announcements of the King and the Princess of Wales. HRH took it on the chin and did amazingly well, carrying on her royal duties being the true backbone of the British Monarchy.

Another blow to the royal family came in the last week of June. Buckingham Palace announced that Princess Anne suffered concussion after a blow to the head by a horse during a walk around the grounds of her home, Gatcombe Park. She was hospitalised for a week. She returned to work two weeks after her release from hospital, her first engagement back was equestrian related (very on brand imo). Shortly afterwards she left the UK and headed to Paris for the 2024 games, she spent 10 days in Paris attending IOC meetings and watching various games. The rest of the year went smoothly for the Princess Royal. She returned better and stronger than ever and has basically fulfilled her yearly quota of engagement 💪

Once again Princess Anne tops the chart as the hardest working royal, completing 437 engagements.

She has done 362 engagements in the UK.

What is also worth mentioning is that he has Red Boxes that he has to go through every single day, except Christmas Day and Easter Sunday as well as a lot of work behind the scenes.

This year the Duke of Edinburgh turned 60 years old and he was bestowed the highest order in Scotland, the Order of the Thistle! Prince Edward also visited a lot of theatre related organisations and youth centres and charities.

In 2024 Sophie carried on her hard work in areas like women’s rights in disadvantaged areas, avoidable blindness, hygiene and agriculture. She did marvellous confidential visits to Ukraine and Chad, focusing her attention on women’s rights and the children’s safety of these war torn countries. She also maintained her strong work in the UK by visiting children’s charities, meeting mothers and standing for what is right.

Prince Richard, The Duke of Gloucester

The Duke of Gloucester has this year completed 197 engagements in the UK.

He continued his long lasting work in heritage, architecture, the St John’s Ambulance and military organisations.

Queen Camilla

In the second year of her husbands reign, Queen Camilla carried out 171 engagements.

He continued to carry out his important duties in areas like homelessness, mental health and conservation with Earthshot. In 2024 Prince William carried out 137 engagements in the UK and the Commonwealth.

Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence

Although not an official working royal, Sir Tim often attends as a great support to his wife’s engagements as well as having his own non-royal patronages and interests. In 2024 he became the Chair of the Science Museum, the new patron of the Oban War and Peace Museum and will become the new President of Kent Cricket Club in January 2025.

He accompanied his wife to a total of 95 engagements, represented her 3 times and remembrance services and accompanied her to 48 engagements abroad in 4 countries. 🇱🇰🇨🇦🇫🇷🇳🇱

When we see Sir Tim carry out his own solo engagements, they aren’t included on the Court Circular as he’s not an official working royal, so if they were to be his engagement count would be a lot higher

Catherine, The Princess of Wales

This year has not been easy for the Princess of Wales with her diagnosis, she significantly reduced her schedule and only attended the most important engagements like Trooping the Colour, Remembrance Day, visiting Southport and taking part in the Qatari State Visit. I really do hope that 2025 treats Catherine kindly and we can see her more often, doing what she does best 🥰

Hopefully we will see her and the Prince of Wales go on a couple of overseas tours next year now that their children are older.

In 2024 the Princess of Wales carried out 13 engagements.

Princess Alexandra of Kent

Princess Alexandra is more than likely unofficially retired from her royal duties now due to her age, health and ailing mobility.

We have only seen Her Royal Highness twice (once officially) this year, firstly accompanying her daughter Marina, at King Constantine’s service of thanksgiving at Windsor Castle, and secondly attending the Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace.

I hope she is doing well and is taking things slowly. She began her royal duties in the 1950s, so at least 70 years of representing the monarchy. She has truly deserved her retirement and we will miss seeing her at engagements. I hope we will see her occasionally, health permitting of course 💖

Gonna try to get some major site work done this week. 💪💪💪💪💪

I'm going to try to fix a small slightly annoying page loading issue I'm having. To summarize, the dynamic generation of the comic page images that I'm doing with JavaScript is making everything but the comic page image load first and it makes a weird jump effect that is not only eye straining but just annoying. I'm gonna try to fix this because fuck it's annoying. No idea why it's even doing that. I'll figure it out.

Alongside that, I'll work on the transcripts and archive pages some more. I think I briefly mentioned that I'm gonna revamp those a bit. Still figuring out what I wanna do visually (and making it as accessible/user-friendly/device responsive as possible, of course).

After those are done, I'll work on uploading V2. I'm hoping to have a lot more progress by the start of July but I can't make promises. The medical emergency wasn't an anticipated thing and it really threw me off both physically and motivation wise

Still taking input and suggestions for features etc! I can't promise or guarantee implementation but I'm open to hearing suggestions and I've used them before :]

Author’s note: I tried not to delve too deep with the emotions cause I’m not good with emotional stuff and this one kinda rung home with me so sorry if it’s not what you were looking for.

Creep. Gross. Freak. Toad’s heard it all. 

But while other people’s words brought him down, yours were right there to bring him back up. 

Affectionate. Witty. Wonderful. Those were the words that came to his mind now. He got so used to your optimistic thinking that it didn’t even occur to him that you might need some of that positivity yourself. 

You weren’t the thinnest and you were okay with that. While most of the time you tried not to care for what others thought you couldn’t help but focus on your coworkers words, said earlier that week. 

“Squishy?” You repeated as you looked at yourself in the mirror, your hand grabbing at the skin of your waist when Todd threw the door open. 

“Keep your cool, the Toad-miester has arrived,” he shouted, his eyes landing on you. 

Stepping into your room he could tell the typical vibes were off but he didn’t care, he was just happy to see you. So in his bliss of happiness he hopped over, and once close enough he straightened his back and met your mouth.

His lips caught you off guard, with your mind elsewhere, but you eased into the kiss, at least before his hands landed on your waist. When his hands rested on your body you were instantly reminded of that word again. 

Squishy.

Your hands found his, as you tried to gently move them away without any detection but obviously that wasn’t the case.

Todd separated from you, his hands returning to his side as he gave you a nervous expression to which you just smiled back. It wasn’t the first time you’d done something like that recently. He was honestly going to avoid the whole conversation, afraid that if he mentioned it, it would just end up with him hurt, but something about your face moved him to ask.

“Did I do something wrong?”

That question plus the sad expression he wore made you feel guilty for even making Toad think that. “What? No, of course not, no you haven’t done anything wrong.”

You both stood in silence awkwardly, you; being unable to express yourself and him; being afraid of creating conflict. But eventually one of you had to break the tension created and it seemed like Toad was willing to take that risk. 

“If it isn’t me, then what’s wrong?”

You held your lips tight breathing in through your nose, before telling him the story. “At work my coworker was, you know, joking and telling a story, and she poked my stomach. Then she quickly removed and asked what that was that she poked? And I said my stomach and she said it felt way squished than she expected. And I know it was just a word and she probably didn’t mean anything by it, but now I’m just looking at myself. Every roll, every bump and handle. I’m just staring and thinking that everything that I try to hide about my body everyone can see. And you know when you tell yourself it’s all in your head, nobody notices it. Now I’m realizing everybody does notice and I’ve just been out here gaslighting myself.”

Toad was not prepared for any of that, he had no idea this was going on. 

“I don’t know, I just wish I was different, do you ever wish I was different?”

You knew the question was way too much, you sort of hated yourself for even asking it, but you couldn’t help but wonder what Todd thought especially considering he was on the other side of the scale with him being more slender. 

That question was just about the least depressing way you figured you could’ve worded it. 

Todd took a step back looking you up and down, “are you kidding, you’re hot!” 

You gave him a tight lipped smile, of course he would say that’s, he was your boyfriend. But honestly you didn’t want to think about it anymore, all you wanted to do was be alone.

”Thanks,” you said, turning your back to him. 

“Wait, wait, wait,” he he’d your elbow turning you around again. “No, I don't wish you looked different. You’re my babe. You’re gorgeous inside and out,” in the process of his words he lifted your arms to wrap around his shoulders, “you gave me a chance. I never want you to be anything but yourself. If you think people are looking at you funny it’s me they're probably looking at.”

“Hey,” you warned while he shot you a laugh making you grin a little. 

“Do you ever wish I looked different?” He asked, using your own question against you.

You looked at him before bringing your foreheads together. “Never.”

Toad learned something new that day. He learned that there are times when you felt just as bad as he did and he learned that his words actually meant a lot to someone, and that fact itself meant alot to him.

📅 started my 18day habit challenge! by which I simply mean I'm using Yeolpumta as a daily tracker app rather than a study app and I'm loving it <3 I get excited seeing different colours marked on the daily calendar and as a consequence I've been more productive lately :D 🍊 been eating healthier! lots of fruit and water intake and I've also been learning to cook! 📖 The Myth of Sisyphus <3 I don't read a lot of non fiction but this piece is hella intruiging and I'm having a lot of fun 🍕 Lunch with the besties [x2] 🎰 Gaming Arcade shenanigans yet again 🎆 Fest at Uni! One of the best bollywood singers of all time showed up and he sang bangers from our childhood; we had a blast 🎧 lots and lots of kpop and for some reason I keep coming back to Advice by Taemin

I just had another moment of complete fascination for the most random stuff. 💪😂 Sometimes, when I explore new things in life, it captivates me with a feeling I can barely describe. It's a feeling that makes me want to try out something new. It's the courage that was taken from me after a hard period in my life, and this rather spontaneous idea brought it back. Here's how:

A few days ago, maybe even a week ago, I visited @akkivee 's Twitch to watch some of her streams. While listening to her, my eyes stayed fixed on this Vtuber model. The design... it looks so unique yet so familiar. It just fits so well to her whole appearance on Tumblr. She loves Kuko, and it really shows in her Vtuber design. 😂🫶

That picture stayed in my mind every night when I was trying to fall asleep.

"Should I draw her? I really want to, but I need more references... "

After considering my possible decisions, I decided to actually text her, and I have no regrets about doing so. She sent me a great reference picture for me to use while making a new paper doll.

Now, I'm working on this new paper doll and have so much fun! I hope I can finish it soon so I can post it here. I love showing my appreciation for those tiny things in life.

Choices fandom appreciation shoutouts

This event is so so so lovely and I really want to join in hehe. I'm not great at expressing my thoughts/feelings and stuff but I really wanna try because I'm really thankful for all of u guys!! :)

When I first posted on this account last summer I honestly expected I'd probably post a few things and dip again because I usually don't get much attention on social media platforms. And also wasn't sure if anyone would really vibe with my approach to characters and stories hahaha 🙈.

But instead people were so nice and I felt so welcomed and like 'oh wow people seem to actually enjoy what I do??' And I had so much fun reading the tags left on reblogs of my art and stuff. And alongside that it has been soooo fun to see everyone elses posts and characters and leaving my thoughts on those as well (and slowly getting less shy about it too 💪). And I even started reading fanfic for the first time in my life hahaha.

I feel like I'm rambling but I just really want to say all this haha, it's been so fun being on here! I love drawing everyone's characters and other requests and will keep doing that (like pleeaase dont be shy, I love drawing everyone's characters) because it's fun and it's also kinda how I say 'thank you' for all being so nice to me!! So yeah thank you all for making me feel so welcome the past months! :)

Especially as someone who usually has trouble making friends and putting myself out there due to shyness it means a lot!

I'm alive! I've been busy with life, priorities, and "me time", but I am of the living!

I did manage to find time to watch the first two eps of SakaDays - and boy was it ever fun!!! A rushed rush, if you will. Sad we won't get to see Officer Nakase. I hope we get to see Sakamoto fight tooth and nail for Hana-chan's backpack though!!!

Been having trouble with cloud8 motivation! Writing in general, really! The muse, it escapes me, but I won't force it lol. Can't get nothing done if I force myself.

Looking back on 2024

✧ I wrote 21k words in published AO3 SakaDays fanfiction. A few more thousands I'm sure if you include all the Tumblr-only stuff. It's not much, but it's honest work! Considering I just came back to writing after 8 years in July 2024, I'd say I did purdy darn good!

✧ My LinkedIn Rewind (with some deets omitted):

✧ Last year, I did a huge canyon swing by myself! Maybe this year I'll bungee jump or sky dive. Or both.

✧ Was part of several peace forums for Palestine, Sudan, and more. Still shaking my head at the yt people at the table. It's like talking to Trump's nonexistent wall.

✧ I also represented Canada at an international UN conference in New York. Same issues where I'm shaking my head so hard. At least I met some like-frustrated people.

✧ Did 3 talks (2 compensated, 1 global, 1 national). Looking forward to doing more this year!

✧ Took on a new mentee - another woman of colour with huge aspirations!!!

2025 so far

✧ My first policy advocacy letter was selected for International Development Week! I got paid AND they'll publicize it for all to see!!! Hopefully the dang government not only sees it but listens. I did their job laid out all the groundwork for them, so they better!

✧ My new job is about a double income boost. But we'll see what that actually is like after taxes lmao. I don't plan on buying another house, so I'll be buying experiences (travels, food, more food). I've been riding the zero waste / anti-capitalism movement for a few years now, so I'm going to buy minimal merch (I say this now). KonMari that shit.

✧ I'm looking forward to snowballing on my achievements, but not to the point of burnout (again lmaooo god we shall see orz).

Oversharing 💪

Probably insensitive but if my disabled dad cannot function well enough to heat his own food up in the microwave, take his cup to the sink, throw his trash in the garbage bin, what am i supposed to do? What is HE supposed to do ? And how much of this do i question without being an asshole? And seriously truly what the hell am i supposed to do?

I KNOW he can do the above things. He’s physically able, he can walk, but he has pain and will sometimes faint bc of blood sugar and stuff. But most of all he says he’s too weak to do that stuff. There was a time after he got out of the hospital + physical therapy where he was able to walk around and do stuff. It was difficult but he could still do things like walk around a grocery store or do dishes. Btw we have a dishwasher — when i say do dishes i mean just simply put them in the fucking dishwasher. Idk. He doesn’t manage his diabetes well at all, so he’s constantly in a state of crisis bc he neglects himself. Anyways. My question is, if he’s too weak to do that stuff anymore by living at home (he works from home, so he’s not even exerting energy by working. He’s on his phone most of the time anyway. Cleaning up after himself is pretty much the only thing i ask of him), why the fuck is he letting himself be that way. If it’s possible for him to not be as disabled as he is, why is he not trying even slightly to make it easier on himself? He hates being this way

He’s told me so many times how one day he’s gonna get more physical therapy done and he’ll be able to hike w us and stuff, which is smth we all like to do together. He’s holding himself back — im not saying this in the dumbass way where will can overcome all disability but i AM saying that there IS a realistic way for him to improve and yes, he is too depressed to do it, but he’s also a grown man who has his family begging for him to get somewhere with this . You don’t think I’m depressed too ? yet I still force myself to do all this because I care about my family. You’re grown. You have to choose at some point. After years and years of this and after so many people support you, i genuinely cannot sympathize with the idea that it’s out of his control anymore

What am i supposed to do? Am i just supposed to accept that he’ll never be able to do anything himself and just let him have that? I’m literally fulfilling the housewife role, physically with tasks, emotionally, and parentally, and it’s disgusting to me. He works from home all he does is sit at home apologizing to me over and over about not doing anything, but still not ACTUALLY being sorry enough to do anything about it. And ofc i say it’s ok bc what am i supposed to do. I’m tired of wrestling myself back and forth thinking im bad for expecting anything of him -> getting fed up with doing everything for him -> thinking im bad again. And yeah maybe one day out of every 2 weeks he’ll have a day where he’ll clean the kitchen or get all the trash up that he throws down by his chair and throw it away. It makes him feel good, it’s great. But as soon as it’s done, he continues not putting in any effort. You are tired from going to fucking Walgreens? From putting the clothes away that i washed dried folded and brought to your room? So you just throw them on the floor and now they’re mixed with the dirty ones so I have to wash everything again, because you can’t remember what’s clean ? And you’ve taught your (now adult! Adult!!!!!) kids to behave in this helpless way as well? Now they think they can scream in my face if i tell them to take the garbage out a second time because they didnt do it the first time i asked ?

If it’s true and you’re tired, then you need physical therapy. Walking to the kitchen should not wind you, your illnesses don’t explain that. It’s simply because you haven’t built your muscles up enough to do that, which I understand because it’s hard, but what the hell. Our insurance will cover it so there’s no reason not to. Also, my dad is known for being lazy even before he became this disabled, so how do I know what to question and what not to? I’ve caught myself being an asshole to him but I’m also tired of him choosing helplessness, it’s so hard. Obviously he is never going to be at full strength, i don’t expect that, i just expect him to pick up after himself and just help me a little. Please

And I don’t even know if my complaints are truly valid (hate that word but ok -__-) bc 1. Could be way worse like years ago and 2. Is it really that big of a deal to clean? Except yes it is and no one understands how disgusting a house can get unless you are in this situation . Detrimental effects on my mental health no matter if i choose to clean or not. So idk. Or the secret third thing which is most likely - I’ve been depressed for so long, houses we’ve had have always been gross + cluttered bc of mental illness in the family, so now as an adult my threshold for what i can stand is very small, bc it’s been built up this whole time with no breaks. So yes it’s bad here, but I feel so stressed bc of the history of it, not just current events... I just feel sooooo trapped lol like this has been going on forever and slowly I’ve regained control so now I solely control the house, which has improved it, but it’s also a huge stressor on me, because the more i take on, the more is expected of me. Like how my dad can’t microwave his own food or pick up his meds at the pharmacy drive thru. LOL

So much oversharing and idgaf if no one reads bc it’s embarrassing and probably pretty dumb like i could be dealing with sooo much worse lol but im so fed up and don’t feel like going to get my journal lol. So yep sorry bout that but GRRAAAAAHH!

My dad is not evil my family is not evil. They are depressed. Not evil thats unrealistic and cartoonish and i think if ur response to this is to say smth like that i understand but u may want to evaluate ur life and relationships. My family is depressed. I’m depressed. Thanks for trying to validate my experience but it makes me feel strange when people view my family as cartoon villains when literally everything is nuanced and I’m sure that from their perspectives, what they’re doing is rational. Humans ok lol but i am very frustrated
