Would be curious about your take on Vignette and Rogue's relation once you get to that part ^^

Finally got to it!

Personally, I like Rogue a lot. She has a ton of nuanced personality while barely being present. I also like staring at her eye-ware.

I’m planning on writing something more in-depth about each ending/analysis, just once my SO finishes the game too! I’ve been waiting to discuss the endings (as I’ve already run through them all)

Due to Vignette’s supreme distrust of authority, they would not side with Arasaka or the NUSA. They’d also never consider suicide, Vignette would use every last shred of themselves to fight. For Temperance, it’s a bit of the same thought.

*side note- although it’s not an ending for Vignette, I really loved the Cups/Pentacles gameplay, I thought it was a way cooler experience than the alternative. Relationship Analysis

To V, meeting Rogue for the first time pricked up old feelings. She embodied confidence and control and mastery of her own world, something that only comes from age and experience. Another woman who deserves the notoriety, admiration, fear, all the while exuding cool detachment. Another woman to be jealous of. Someone capable of dominating, effortlessly. Except, for some inexplicable reason- Johnny.

His memories flood in- Why in the world would she let him string her along? Time after time- giving in to his every whim? Still answering his beck and call, even now? Too many women giving bad men second, third, infinite chances. Rouge owes Johnny nothing, let the idiot stew in his own regrets. For fuck’sake, whatever lingering emotions driving her to accept him back in her life again were honestly… pathetic. Degrading.

“Hearin’ everything you’re thinking, y’know that, right?” Johnny remarked from deep in V’s mind.

All this doesn’t equate to dislike or hatred. V still respects Rogue despite her soft spot for a certain moron. And on the fringe, they too feel the second-hand nostalgic, bittersweet, longing for her. So during [BLISTERING LOVE], V was hoping for an embrace just as much as they wanted her to push back. And when she did say, “I can’t,” V’s perception of Rogue was never higher.

Enduring every fallout, being left behind, choices with consequences no matter what you settle on, pieces- so many pieces to pick up. Rogue is all of the aftermath you don’t think about until it hits you. V wonders, if they survive, if they’ll be the same one day. Hardened. Alone. Building something powerful just to keep from feeling powerless again.

Gortash: Only if you like. Though I have a feeling you are instead about to combat the rumors you’ve heard with an insulting remark.

C: Astute. Unkempt- is my opinion. For a promising diplomat, that is.

G: Well, a promising diplomat might have difficulty explaining what he was doing, lingering about, at The Blushing Mermaid. No offense intended. Now if you wish to see me donning my best robes, please know you are most welcome to sit in on one of our council meetings.

C: Bureaucracy and I don’t exactly hold hands. Perhaps you knew that already. Perhaps I will make an appearance, to show how much more reasonable lord Enver Gortash is by comparison to yours truly. In any case, I am disappointed you didn’t think yourself capable of getting your point across without touching someone without permission.

G: I apologize. It was not my aim to upset you in any way.

C: If I was upset, you would be dead where you sit. But then I would be obligated to take care of the entire tavern as well. And I wasn’t planning on that until next fortnight.

GORTASHBGORTAHBGOTTSAH I AM FED THANK YOU

The characteristics of Gortash I subscribe to/fuck with:

Gortash *was* objectively a handsome man during his political rise. Found past records are genuine. Portraiture/propaganda with his likeness uses imagery from this era.

Hairy. So hairy it’s not even worth grooming, it’ll be back in a week.

Durge initially finds Gortash annoying and would kill him without a second thought. Gortash plays to his strengths and charms durge any way he can. Durge’s opinion changes over time, evolving into an obsessive sadistic/masochistic power struggle. No harm can come to Gortash unless it is by durge’s hand. Gortash then has to put up with durge’s tendencies in a sort of Pepé le Pew chaser-becomes-the-chasee dynamic. But Gortash also finds himself oddly growing closer to durge for a number of reasons [insert your level of romantic or platonic relationship here] (in Cae’s case it is a bond over being an orphan, rising from nothing, etc)

Both Gortash and durge secretly have an order from their gods to betray/dominate the other that they struggle with

Gortash has to deal with random political figures he was working with disappearing because durge got jealous

Orin is devastated to not be durge’s favorite any longer. Gortash must avoid numerous assassination attempts from her even before she is made the head of the cult. Durge ends up cursing Orin to not touch Gortash (the reason she can’t harm him)

After durge is tadpoled and lost, Gortash immediately ages like a president. (He lives in his office, stress eats, gains 30 pounds, goes a week or more without bathing sometimes, doesn’t brush his hair, etc)

hi! stupid question, but is your v a full body conversion, or just heavily modded? ive been writing about my own fbc cyberpunk character (not v, cyberpunk red, so 2045) so you've been showing up on my dash a lot recently.

oh also, what are your v's pronouns? i get the vibe of any/all from your posts.

No stupid questions! Thanks for asking! ❤️ The conversion amount depends on the timeline (cannon 2077 game events or just Vignette living in night city regardless, because I also envision them in alt universes)

Before immigrating to NC from the badlands, they have the default deck and some eye/frontal lobe augmentation.

After living in NC for a few years, they scrounge up enough eddies to get some significant modifications: synthetic skin, some organ replacements, full arm and calve conversions, plating along the skin, the “hair” slot, and further eye/face/brain augmentations. (And notably fem/masc interchangeable parts) At this point, they’re still cyborg, not fully chrome, although looking like it from the outside.

This is where the events of the game don’t fit well, because Vignette would be dirt poor- diet of cigarettes and jaeger, crashing on friends’ couches and alley corners, foregoing basic and necessary needs over outfitting themselves after every paycheck.

Eventually, if this addiction isn’t confronted, they would move on to full body conversion. I’ve been working on a design I’m not quite done with 👇

And the pronouns thing is something I explored while RPing. Upfront- I really don’t care at all what anyone uses for Vignette (he/she/they/it), you’ll see me use “they” a lot for many of my characters because being non-gender specific just comes more naturally. In-game prologue, I specifically began with (m) V body+voice+pronouns. With mods, I then progressed with (f) V body+pronouns and (m) V voice. Which fit the outlook of people generally assuming (f), but internally feeling (m). Being forced to mature fast and experience a lot of gender repression from their tribe has left them in a conflicting state. From Vignette’s perspective, it is not something they are confident about proclaiming one way or the other, and they won’t correct anyone even while having preferences. Most often, with everything else going on in their life, the psychological aspect of identity gets put on the sidelines, or straight up is something they want to distract themselves from

Hi!! I always feel super inspired by your art and is currently also thinking of going into nsfw myself, but I don't really know where to start. Where do you usually find inspiration and references? And do you have other fav nsfw artists yourself?

Awesome questions! If you’re interested in pursuing nsfw subjects (whether it's blatantly erotic, suggestively sensual, or just anatomically explicit)- it might be obvious that having an extensive understanding about anatomy would be helpful. And not just “the bits and bobs are in the right places/knowing how to distribute fat & muscles with motion” understanding. I mean: implied action and gesture, capturing movement in a still image, emotion through body language.

There are tons of resources you can study from: quick googling, your porn site of preference, 3d models/pose packs, real life… I’ve dabbled with them all. r/drawmensfw is popular because all posts are automatically allowed to be used as reference. 3d models can be helpful especially for multiple models/group shots. Posespace.com is another good one. But really, imagination, googling, and pausing porn is my go to if I need to see an interaction up close.

Although the main inspiration begins from the character side of things, not immediately nsfw. And I don’t think it so much matters ‘where you start’, but more: go ahead and do it! Now if you’re just starting out you’ll likely benefit from approaching it with a more realistic style, then stylize further as you continue to progress, exaggerating or simplifying things to fit your ideals. Because that’s what’s most interesting imo. The choices people make in their art based on what excites them tends to become a pattern, this is a more personal subject.

So I say- focus on pursuing what makes your heart rate increase, because it’s just more fun and you’ll get “better” faster than if you were to force yourself to draw something you don’t want to.

In terms of other nsfw artists I admire, the list is very very long and even if I name drop you guys are likely already aware of them due to being in the same related circle and fandoms, but maybe peruse the list of people I follow on socials some time!
