* Can I dub your comics? Can I translate your comics? Can I do fanarts/fanfics/etc? Can I ship your characters with others? Can I roleplay your characters? Can I use your characters in my AU? Can I make fusions/shipchildren/alt versions?

-Yes to all! You are free to do whatever you want with the A L I V E characters (and if you tag me so I can see it, it would make me happy!). 

-However, If you take my own comics/illustrations (for dubs, translations, etc) I only want you to credit me with a link to my tumblr (please, don’t repost on websites famous for stealing art like Wattpad/Pinterest, on websites dedicated to uploading your own art, or on websites where I already have an account! Sites similar to Tumblr, like Lofter, are ok!), and if you are going to dub my art and you have your channel monetized, that's fine, all I ask is that you donate a part of that money to charity. * Since when are you in this fandom?

This is weird but despite Undertale is from 2015 I just discovered it in march 2020 ; u ; ) I wanted to do this tumblr when I saw there were AU’s and roleplay stuff, but I was afraid I couldn’t find time to make updates and that’s why I didn’t do it before. But in the end I was so excited and really wanted to do a lot of fanarts, that I created this blog.

This blog was just to post my fanarts, and at first I didn’t want to start an AU due to lack of time. But in the end I decided to do something simple, like some characters in the void with their stories and asks. …It ended up being an AU.  ( ｡•́‿•̀｡)

* What is Lytta’s gender? And their age?

Lytta’s gender is neutral, like Frisk and Chara (they/them). I never chose a gender for them so if you want to think they’re a woman or a man and want to use she/her or he/him, it’s ok! Just don't confuse people, since the canon is still non-binary. So please, for asks to this blog keep using they/them. 

IRL Lytta is 20 years old in the first and second season, and 21 in the third season. Their avatar in game is Chara’s face in Frisk’s body, so their appearance is the same as them. In this AU classic Frisk have around 12/13 years old, like Chara’s appearance.

* What is the name of this AU?

This AU is called “A L I V E”. You can also use “Alivetale” or “Alive AU” if you want, I don’t mind. Remember; “Tatatale” is just the silly name I gave to this blog, and it has nothing to do with the AU or myself! You can call me Kao.

* How would Insans react to (character name)?

-If they look human, he’ll be mad. He’s trying to be a good boy now, so he probably won’t attack and just hide behind a friend. Past Insans would try to kill them.

-If they look like Papyrus, he’ll be scared.

-If they’re another monster, it’ll depend on how they meet. (You don’t treat someone who is polite the first time you see them in the same way as if you see that same person attacking you.)

I want to say sorry if my English is awful, since is not my mother language, I just try my best.

I update the main comic when my free time allows it. I’m sorry if I can’t update like before.

1. Why did you choose your URL?

I decided to do a revamp of my blog last year after having the same blog url and set up for a few years.

I was really into this podcast called You're Wrong About at the time and they had a series on Jessica Simpson and during it they talked about some joke relating to her being made fun of for questioning why a can of tuna had the brand name Chicken of the Sea and i liked the sound of 'of the sea' as the name of something and subed in 'mango' because I really like mangoes and I thought the name as a whole had a cool vibe to it (made these choices all in about 10 minutes the same day I was setting up my new laptop)

2. Any side blogs?

Technically 2 but I don't pose much to them :supernatural-art and spacewordwasaimingforozai, both from different eras of interests

3. How long have you been on Tumblr?

pfffft uhh I wanna say since about 2014 since I've had an account which went unused for around a year then started using it from the beginning of 2015

Had an argument briefly with someone on a post of mine a few years back about an opinion I had for a show (supernatural) and what they were doing with the plot. I think I technically won it mostly by not getting aggressive and just repeating it was an opinion I had that could maybe happen, but I found it so stressful I deleted all reblogs I had done with the discussion on lol

15. How do you feel about “you need to reblog” posts?

I think its nice to do and personally I really like reblogging basically everything but get that other people don't. It's something that can be nice to do and feels very tumblr exclusive which is why I like it I think

Thank you to @wrathofthestag for tagging me in this! I haven’t technically written five whole fics this year and my edits aren’t all that impressive, but here’s what I could come up with for my top 5 (these are all omgcp btw):

all was golden in the sky

Summary: Jack has been destined to inherit the throne of Soleil from his father since the day he was born, but with the Summer Solstice approaching and with it, his coronation, Jack makes a rash decision to run away from his kingdom in search of something that will help him decide what’s best for him and his people. Enter Bitty, a quiet stranger who pulls Jack in like the tide. Can Bitty help Jack accept his duty as king, or will their bond prove to make things even more complicated? And is there more to Bitty than meets the eye?

This was the first thing I wrote this year, my first time in a fandom event, my first attempt at fantasy...just a lot of firsts all around. This is definitely the one I’m most proud of, not even just this year but in general. I honestly want to turn it into a stage production or screenplay one day, I love it that much-

Playing It Cool

Summary: Heading into their sophomore year, Shitty gets dibs and leaves Jack to once again deal with the prospect of living with a complete stranger. This is fine; Jack can handle this. He just wishes his new roommate would stop avoiding him.

I’ve had the idea for this one for a while and was finally able to write it at the tail end of this year. It’s a pretty typical AU but the way mine went makes it feel a bit more unique! This was my first WIP with a consistent update schedule too which is nice ;;;

Summary: Eric isn't made for the cold, and he’s most definitely not made to spend the last week of 2015 at a ski resort in Canada. Hell, he doesn't even know how to ski! but with Ransom, Holster, and Lardo all graduating next spring, it's not like he's about to pass up the opportunity to spend more time with his friends before everything changes. What he doesn't know is that change may be coming sooner than expected, and that isn't always a bad thing.

The last chapter of this doesn’t go up until tomorrow, but I finished writing it today so I’m gonna count it- This idea came so quickly when I saw the prompts for 12 Days of Ficmas. I only gave myself a little over 2 weeks to write it which was a big challenge, but I loved being able to post each chapter in the same time frame as the fic itself (they celebrated new years eve in today’s chapter which is pretty cool). This one was also a good practice in dialogue writing!

This was something I wrote for a tumblr dialogue prompt. I don’t know what it is about it, but I think I just did a great job with the descriptions, fitting the chosen dialogue in naturally, and it’s really easy to picture. It’s also....very soft..

It’s that time of year again! Time to start getting ready for this year’s Spacemas!

BASIC INFO:

I need to fill about 10 guest comic slots.

Comics should be at least 1 single page. (Max 4 pages)

Comics should be in full color.

Comics need to be X-mas/Winter themed!

I also accept illustrations, but they must have a clear narrative or dialogue!

Tone can be humorous, serious, anything like that. As long as it’s Space School and X-mas/Winter themed all at once.

I would love to see some of these past outfits re-created in any comics but new ones or just general winter themed outfits are fine too. Zeggy should most always be Santa though, unless joke calls for otherwise. BUT! Jokes trump everything– if it’s funny, I want it.

SPACE SCHOOL AND THE HOLIDAYS:

Because Winter-time has always been a time of hoilday-stuffs for lots of places and planets (especially those who were colonized by Earth or Nubia) Space School most often gives the whole school lots of time off in December from school-life.

All holidays are accepted to celebrated within the walls as long as everyone is being respectful of each other– as with most things in Space School. The School decorates mostly with lights and tries to stay away from leaning one way or the other. Students are allowed to decorate inside their dorms as they please, obviously.

Most students leave home to their respective planets for the holidays but some students and teachers stay at the school thru the whole month– sometimes celebrating together!

It’s an exciting and peaceful time for everyone~

Alkaline, Zeggy, and Toggy usually go home for the holidays (sometimes together) and Joe stays at the school. Sometimes Joe joins Toggy, Terrago, and Omnivera at their homes.

Dude, Maleena, and Vava either see their separate families alone or all stay together in their home near the school.

Dennis and Booker spend the holiday cooped up alone at Booker’s apartment avoiding everyone but each other.

ZEGGY AND HIS PLANET’S CULTURE:

Zeggy is canonically the most all about Christmas out of the whole group.

X-mas was an adopted holiday by Ollce when Earth colonized the planet and as such, it resembles Christmas as we known it with some key differences.

As far as the tree goes, it starts out as a sculpted pile of dirt resembling a tree or other X-mas object that is watered thru the month with various glowing mushrooms and other fun alien-glowy-bits appearing as it’s watered– so by the time Christmas rolls around the tree will have grown it’s own ornaments to light up the room!

You buy bags of seed/spores each year for the tree, these bags make great gifts and are often put in stockings!!!

Otherwise, a lot of the traditions are the same with either having different looking aesthetics. They do stockings, presents under the tree, and Santa– who instead of having a sleigh– instead rides a single giant mole (which is a creature from purple planet, I can provide reference for) and is of course, purple himself. He rides this mole– who is named Rudolf, around all the underground cities of Ollce delivering presents to all the kids.

Zeggy gets into the holiday spirit way too early and way too fast. He decorates his whole dorm room as well as wearing as much X-mas accessories as he’s allowed over his school uniform.

He’s the type of person to put everything non-Christmas away and replace it with Christmas themed things.

He absolutely spoils Alkaline with tons and tons and way too many gifts– all of which are extremely personalized.

Otherwise, he only buys presents for his parents/grandparents, Joe, Toggy, and gives cards to his teachers. Most of his efforts go towards Alkaline.

He eats a billion food, sings a billion songs, and is fucking obnoxious. It’s beautiful.

ALKALINE AND HIS TRADITIONS:

Alkaline likes Christmas just as much as everyone else and is definitely not as hype as Zeggy because who could match Zeggy’s energy, honestly. But, he definitely gets into the spirits! Enjoys the food, drink, songs, presents– etc.

Christmas on Earth is very similar to what we think of it now which some differences– many of which haven’t totally been decided upon so feel free to have some fun interpretations.

Christmas has most definitely become a non-religious holiday in most all senses on Earth. It’s more just about the aesthetics and being with family members, buying fits, eating food, etc.

Alkaline is either with Zeggy in his home on Ollce or has Zeggy over on Earth. He stays with his Mom and Sister, visiting extended family on Christmas Day for dinner.

Alkaline buys everyone he knows presents– even if it’s just something small!

I usually draw Alkaline as a reindeer because Alkaline with antlers is super cute.

JOE’S ‘CHRISTMAS’:

Christmas isn’t celebrated where Joe is from– they have other traditions. However; Christmas Day is actually Joe’s birthday– which he usually chooses to spend alone or with Dennis or Lorna (his girlfriend)– depending on the age.

As such, Joe doesn’t care too much about Christmas and see’s it more of just as “his birthday” but starts to appreciate the holiday more when Zeggy’s festive spirit invades him. And, he likes the presents.

I’m sure Zeggy and Joe have some special X-mas moments together with Zeggy trying to show Joe all about “The Christmas Spirit”!

TOGGY’S TRADITIONS:

On Nubia, they don’t really have a Christmas but rather a big celebration of a New Year like holiday where they begin the new calendar year.  Like Christmas, it’s a time to celebrate with family and loved ones.  

Typically people travel long distances to spend the two days reunited with family, and everything shuts down.  The most important part of the festivities is to tell stories about the year–letting out stress or frustration while also reliving good moments and bonding with family members.  

This is always accompanied by large amounts of alcoholic beverages, which are enjoyed by all ages.  

Oftentimes everyone gets really smashed the first day and then sleeps it off the next.   Food varies from region to region but typically includes mostly unprocessed foods such as berries and vegetables, or dried lizard or fish jerky. As the festivities mark the beginning of the new year, many Nubians will dye their hair to a different color or get a new piercing around this time. Presents aren’t really a thing on Nubia, though it is common for parents and grandparents to give their children small sums of money to encourage them to have new adventures in the new year.  

Toggy’s family is a bit more accustomed to Earth traditions though, and so he tries to buy his close friends gifts for “Christ-mass” but they are always strange and often food.

DUDE, MALEENA, VAVA:

The 3’s traditions are similar to Alkaline’s since they’re all from Earth– so not much to say there.

Dude spends a lot of time in an apron baking cookies, cakes, etc as presents for everyone he knows and Vava and Maleena definitely gain some weight this time of year.

They all get drunk a lot and laugh a lot and just have a good time together BEING A LIL FAMILY.

Dude always makes sure to exchange presents with students he’s helped thru the year; since he often takes troubled students under his wing.

DENNIS AND BOOKER:

Booker nicely decorates his apartment and spends a lot of time with Dennis on the couch eating food and talking. They frick a lot too.

It’s chill.

OMNIVERA AND TERRAGO:

As the resident “gays into roleplays”, Omnivera and Terrago do a lot of dressing up for X-mas.

There’s a lot of time Terrago will be with Toggy’s family with them– and so I’m sure Omnivera is there sometimes as well. In a billion, expensive outfits.

The two of them absolutely spoil each other and nobody else in presents– except for Toggy who they buy something for– OF COURSE.

NOTE ABOUT REX: Due to some wild stuff happening with the creator of Rex, Rex will no longer be appearing in Space School and therefore should not be appearing in any Guest Comics! Sorry!

All the fandoms I’ve ever considered myself to be a part of

-Frozen - Age 12-Age 12 - (2013)  - What can I say. I was 12, I saw Frozen. Obsessed over Elsa for a couple months. That was just the tiny bit of lesbian in me jumping out from behind the ace-ness for the first time. -Inside Out - Age 13-Age 14 - (2014-2015) - I saw Inside Out. I was 13. Obsessed over Joy for a few months. Sounds as cringy as it was. That was also the second time the tiny bit of lesbian in me jumped out. -Minecraft: Story Mode - Age 14-Age 14 - (2015) - It doesn’t get more cringy than this. I don’t know why I fixated on it as long as I did. But I did. It was bad, as in really really painfully cringy bad. I also made my tumblr account during this obsession. Actually made some posts about it. (Which are all long gone now) -Star Wars Rebels & The Clone Wars - Age 14-Present - (2015-Present) - Finally a good one. I’m not obsessed over them anymore, but I still like them. Especially with the last season of The Clone Wars. That hurt pretty bad. And Ashoka Tano is still one of my all time favourite fictional characters. -Harry Potter - Age 15-Present - (2016-Present) - It’s Harry Potter. I finished reading the books when I was 15. I have since disowned JK Rowling, but the story and characters still speak true, for the most part. I am a Ravenclaw! -Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) - Age 15- Present - (2016-Present) - Saw Spider-Man Homecoming. Loved it. Watched the rest of MCU. Loved it. Couple years later, watched Infinity War and Endgame. Was crushed, but loved it , for the most part. I’m not quite obsessed anymore, but I still like it a lot. Spider-Man is my favourite superhero. -Dan and Phil - Age 16-Present - (2017-Present) - I wasn’t ever really obsessed, but I watched their videos and followed a few fan pages on Instagram. Still watch Phil’s videos when he uploads. -Jacksepticeye & Markiplier - Age 16-Present - (2017-Present) - NOT Septiplier. I just discovered them both at the same time. Like the last one, I’ve never really been obsessed. I just enjoy their videos. Ethan too, now! -Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - Age 16-Present - (2017-Present) - Yeah, I just really connected to Newt Scamander too much. The first movie made me fall back in love with the whole Harry Potter universe for a bit. The second movie lost my interest after a week. Still like the characters, though. -The Greatest Showman - Age 17-Age 17 - (2018-2018) - Ah, my introduction to musicals. Did you know there’s actually a surprising amount of fanfiction for this one? I basically spent a summer break blasting “From Now On” in my headphones at 3 AM every night. -Mary Poppins - Age 17-Age 17 - (2018-2019) - I saw Mary Poppins Returns. My brain went: “ooh, possibly ace immortal woman who can do magic?” And I ran with it for a while. -This is where my brain went dark for a few months. Nothing new from any of my fandoms for ages, the online communities of all of them were beyond dead, and I was just disinterested in everything. My brain had nothing to fixate on, so it started to fixate on scary things. This went on for about 4 months, from January 2019 until late April 2019. It got really bad. -Sanders Sides - Age 18-Present - (2019-Present) - My savour fandom. My main fandom. I’ve never been completely obsessed with any fictional work for this long before. I saw the video: “Tongue Twisted - A Speaking Backwards Challenge” on my YouTube recommended, recognized Thomas from Vine, and thought “what the heck”. Watched the video. Laughed hard. For the first time in 4 months. Accepting Anxiety Part 2 was recommended next. Thought “hey, I’ve been dealing with a crazy amount of anxiety lately, how convenient!” Watched the recap, realized there was a first part, clicked on that and watched the first part first. Then watched the second part. Then watched the rest of the episodes and the rest of Thomas’s videos. Reactivated my Tumblr account. Started drawing again. Found a lot of new music I loved. Started performing much more confidently. Accepted every part of my sexuality and started the (ongoing) process to figure out where I am on the gender spectrum. I know a lot of people say Thomas & Sanders Sides saved them, and I know it’s usually a factor of a lot of things. But really, discovering Thomas Sanders kicked off a recovery process for me. With the videos talking about mental health, to just Thomas and how amazing he is, and of course the fandom, which is where I got actual support and nice comments on my art for the first time ever. I don’t know where I’d be if I hadn’t discovered this Thomas when I did. 

Of course, disclaimer, I was in the process of getting professional mental health help before this pandemic happened. You cannot just rely on fandoms, or YouTubers forever. All I’m saying is Sanders Sides and Thomas significantly helped in starting my recovery. Also just a reminder if anyone ever wants/needs to talk to someone, I’m more than happy to.

welp, gang! not only another year is coming to an end, but it also marks the end of a decade. i’ve been drawing for over 10 years now, so i figured i should do a decade of art just to show off my work over the years!

if you want to read my retrospect of each year, it’ll be under the read more! heads up, it is a bit of a doozy.

TL;DR: just all around happy with how much i improved over the years and i can’t wait to see what 2020 will bring!

2009 (11-12 yrs old)      at this point, I’m on my second year of drawing (both traditionally and digitally!) This year mainly consisted of either oc art or drawings of my best friends at the time, but there was some fanarts sprinkled here and there. I also did my first animation piece around this time too tho it’s private now :3c i may show it off one day...

2010 (12-13 yrs old)     I got my first drawing tablet for Christmas 2009 and this is when i went ham on my digital drawings. this year was kinda weird i guess? i started experimenting a more cartoony style on some artworks, though the majority are still anime inspired.

2011 (13-14 yrs old)     ah yes...... the year i found out about homestuck.... well, i found out about it on the second half of the year. the first half was all about my ocs. this was because around this time (or late 2010? i dont remember exactly) i discovered flipnote hatena, where I did tons of animations including my ocs. but once i discovered homestuck, that was all i posted for a while lol. this was also the year I made my tumblr account. oh and I also lost my tablet pen for a few months so some of the drawings from this year were made with a mouse.

2012 (14-15 yrs old)     I started falling out of deviantArt and became more active on tumblr. I mellowed out on the homestuck drawings a bit and posted other stuff. this year was kinda similar to 2010, where my artstyle was kinda all over the place. the second half of the year I discovered a super obscure browser dating sim called Star Project and became a part of the roleplaying community so plenty of my artworks revolved on my muse Souta and the game as a whole. 2013 (15-16 yrs old)     this year was really quiet in terms me posting art. i had been constantly doodling both traditionally and digitally but I never got around to posting the majority of them. this was mainly because I was so busy with school. on the flipside however, I discovered Earthbound and i hecking fell in love with it ♥

2014 (16-17 yrs old)     still relatively quiet but i posted more than 2013 lol. Earthbound drawings galore! i also did posted more oc work, including my gal Usako. I haven’t posted her anywhere in a long time though. i have been redesigning her and i’ll show it off sometime in the future!

2015 (17-18 yrs old)     ahh, here we go! now we’re picking up the pace! i graduated from high school this year and started posting more often. splatoon came out this year and I was constantly drawing them squidkiddies! (tho tbh my rin and len drawing is my fav) this was also the year I got Manga Studio (an older version of Clip Studio Paint) but I still used Paint Tool Sai. this was also the first year i did commissions!

2016 (18-19 yrs old)     this year was really interesting tbh. lots of really neat works and i started to do more backgrounds. this was also the year I (attempted) to do my webcomic! i haven’t updated that thing in a long time tho. I want to reboot it one of these days. but anyways, good mix of fanart and oc works. really, this year was great.

2017 (19-20 yrs old)     this was the year i made this very art blog and my instagram account! (which i haven’t advertised here at all but here’s the link lol) i think it was around this point i found my own artstyle that i want to more or less stick to! of course, it was going to change overtime, but compared to the years prior, my artstyle at this point has been more consistent. this was also the year i attempted to start an oc askblog with a friend of mine but it haven’t gone far ;w; def want to try again one of these days!

2018 (20-21 yrs old)     this year was also really nice! i moved to a new university to get a major in animation. quite a few persona 5 and kingdom hearts drawings here and there since i was like love with both of those games (even tho kh3 wasn’t even out at that point, but i was still hyped omg) i also introduced Cimmaria and Nicktornal for a future story that i’m currently developing! i also made a full move to Clip Studio Paint after Paint Tool Sai wouldn’t load on my new computer.

2019 (21-22 yrs old)    last year of the decade and i left it with quite a bang! I def posted more often. i did missed a few months, but then i would come back with a bunch more works to post! I discovered Artfight from a friend so that kept me busy during the month of july! made a couple more animations too since of course i will be doing more of it for university. 

So, what’s my 2020 art resolution?

Def want to keep posting! try to go for at least 4 artworks per month, one for each week.

experiment more on backgrounds, perspective and composition!

post more oc artworks! i haven’t been posting much about them for the past few years but I really want to change that. there is one oc i am definitely introducing to you all! here’s a hint: it is a Dungeons and Dragons character. I will show them off when the time is right uwu

continue developing on story ideas and sticking to it! i’ve noticed that i usually start on projects only then to drop them later on. I really want to revive them and work on it!

continue working on animation! if all goes well, i’ll be taking animation classes in fall of 2020 so i need to start prepping more!

and of course, continue improving my art!

this is from Take a Chance on Me (shocker) and i was having trouble thinking of my fave but then i was skimming through all of my fics and ngl i had forgotten about this bit but y’all i’ve been trying to work a Dramatic Airport Reunion into a fic FOR FUCKING EVER and i finally did it and i actually don’t hate it? (spoiler for the ending of Take a Chance on Me)

“See…” Louis starts. “See, there’s this guy. And, oh god, he’s an absolute twat. Wanna know what he did to me?” Harry nods faintly, and Louis, emboldened now, goes on. “So, I already knew who he was, right? I knew him, because he’d been in this god-awful boy band for years, and even if me bloody sisters hadn’t been so bloody in love with him, I’d still have known him, because he was just that famous.”

“I wasn’t that famous.”

“Don’t interrupt,” Louis chastises, and Harry mimics zipping his lips. “So this guy, I knew him, but he didn’t know me, but, fucking hell, I think someone forgot to tell him that, because there I was, minding my own business, when this kid just…” Louis giggles then, because the memory is just so ridiculous, “he just starts fucking singing to me, can you believe it?”

Harry shakes his head. “What a weirdo.”

“Right? The weirdest.”

“What happened next?”

“I fell in love with him.”

“What? That soon?”

“Of course not, Jesus, Harold. I’m not that pathetic. I waited the appropriate amount of time to fall in love, thank you very much.”

“Is that why you’re here, then?” Harry whispers. “Is it because you love him?”

“That’s part of it, yeah. I love him, and I love the way we just fit, and I adore his daughter, and our pets are friends now, and I think our sisters are best friends now, so they didn’t actually give me a choice, but do you want to know the biggest, most important reason?”

Harry nods quickly, so hard his chin bumps his chest, and Louis’ so fucking in love with him at that moment that these are the easiest words he’s ever said.

“I’m here,” he tells Harry, “because I was lying in my own bed, in my own house, surrounded by all my things, and all I wanted to do was go home.”

He’s yanked forward then, Harry’s fingers digging into his shoulders, and he barely feels the pain because it’s Harry, and everything’s good when it’s Harry. He’s babbling into Louis’ neck, and the only words he can make out are his name and “love you” and he shivers with the feeling.

Harry’s hair has grown out enough since the night Louis snuck in to see him that he can tangle his fingers in the strands. So he does, pulling Harry’s face away from his neck and pressing their lips together. Every kiss feels like an apology. Every kiss feels like home.

12. share or describe a favorite review you recieved: so this miiiiight be cheating but i received two comments on a fic i wrote in 2015 and it was kind of a surprise that something that old still held up and people still enjoy it? def made me feel better about my current writing and also anyone who quotes my fics back to me has earned my undying love and affection

13. a time when writing was really, really hard: i have adhd so p much always ahahaha

14. a scene or character you wrote that most surprised you: the entirety of “we’re swimming with the sharks until we drown” ngl because i struggled with the like… morally gray criminal-y elements? and portraying the two of them in such a different way while still staying in character which i like to think i nailed? hopefully lol

15. how did you grow as a writer this year? i don’t feel like a i have? but i’m also bias and hypercritical so maybe i did and just didn’t realize ahaha

16. how do you hope to grow next (this?) year: i want to enjoy writing again and i want to finish more fics and not let them rot in my docs because of self-doubt

who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer: okay so first @amandaisnotwriting is the real MVP as she bears the brunt of my whining/complaining/drama queen moments as well as the fact that she listens (some would argue is forced to :p) and reads over fic for a pairing she doesn’t ship for a fandom she doesn’t care about 😂😂😂

@rainbowbaz always makes time to look over my fics even when she’s crazy busy and is honestly amazing and saves my fics from americanisms ahahaha

and FINALLY we met p late in the year but but @livingatthelairport ‘s comment on “the tesco fic” helped me out of a writing slump and now she’s become my cheerleader (and friend 💜) and that’s make a huge difference in my attitude towards writing! it’s also easier to write a fic for a specific person than worry about the opinion of a crowd which is def something i’ve been missing in this fandom rip

also to everyone else who has read my fics, listened to me rant about them or just helped the process along in any way at all this is a GIANT thank you!!

18. anything from your real life show up in your writing this year? i mean i can’t think of anything off the top of my head but a lot of my inspo comes from the world around me so probably lol

19. any wisdom you can share with other writers: there’s nothing wrong with feeling jealous of other writers because i’m not a fan of hiding feelings just because they’re ugly as long as you don’t let it fester and turn into resentment or make you bitter. there are a lot of factors that go into a fic becoming “big” in a fandom but honestly most of it is just random chance so don’t beat yourself up because someone else’s success is not your failure and it’s nice to get recognition for your hard work but if you’re writing solely for the feedback then you’re writing for the wrong reason and that will lead to the resentment and bitterness mentioned earlier

also if you compliment someone you say you like their outfit but if you complement someone then you complete them

Rivamika Timeline Part 3 (2015~2017)

A little over two years since I posted Part 2... here it is! The long awaited Rivamika Timeline - Part 3. The Uprising Arc might be long over in the manga, but the Rivamika hype has not faded... far from it.

This post covers chapters 71, 72, 74, 78, 83, 84, 85 & 89 from the Return to Shiganshina arc and chapter 93 of the Truth of Marley arc, as well as the new ANSWERS databook and anime Season 2′s episodes 28, 30 & 33.

[07/09/15] Chapter 71

Chapter 60′s (Trust) cover art, featuring Levi and Mikasa, is again pictured on the cover of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine.

[08/09/15] Chapter 72 

Unlike during Eren’s trial in chapter 19, Mikasa didn’t stop Eren and Jean’s fight, and when Levi steps in to discipline them with his usual method of violence, she lets him do it anyway!

Even more shocking is the fact that this time Mikasa doesn’t become even a little bit angry at Levi for kicking Eren, since he asked for it... even the poor boy can’t believe it.

At the end of the chapter, in a clear parallel between Levi’s past Special Ops’ squad and his new squad, Mikasa replaces Petra behind Eren in the squad formation pictured on the cover of Volume 5.

[10/09/15] Chapter 74

After Hange leaves, Eren is left with Levi and Mikasa to protect him from the Warriors.   

Later, when the Captain swoops down to strike Reiner, Mikasa uses her arm to keep Eren from going after him, knowing that Levi has it covered.

[02/09/16] & [06/09/14] Chapter 78 & Chapter 58

Somehow Mikasa has learned how to throw blades at the enemy, just like... you guessed it right.

[07/09/16] CHAPTER 83

The following page marks the beginning of the biggest shitstorm the SNK fandom will ever experience. Levi tells Eren and Mikasa that he’ll use the serum on Armin to save him, but changes his mind in the blink of an eye when he discovers Commander Erwin needs it just as much.

The shock of it makes Mikasa throw caution to the wind, draw her blade and advance menacingly towards Levi. 

Levi quickly looks back and sees Mikasa’s tearful, panicked face as she approaches him, blade in hand, much to his shock. Despite the camaraderie they built during the Uprising arc, the tension that has built all this time between these two reaches its boiling point. The lives of their loved ones are at stake, and despite the good intentions from both sides, their clash seems inevitable.

[08/09/16] CHAPTER 84

After an excruciating month of waiting, the most intense chapter in SNK’s recent history hits the web. Ladies and gentlemen, the long-awaited Ackerbowl is here! This is the most significant Rivamika interaction ever since chapter 63′s Ackertalk, as well as the longest.

Mikasa creeps closer to the Captain while he glances warily at her... but when Eren tries to grab the serum box from him, Levi violently punches him.

... and that’s all Mikasa needs to snap and charge at Levi, who looks alarmed. 

Mikasa ackerjumps Levi, toppling him over. It’s an iconic scene that marks the true start of the Ackerbowl!

They hit the ground and he manages to grasp her sword arm, but she forces it back, positioning her blade against his exposed neck to lock him in place.  [Ackerstraddle panel count: 1.]

Panicked and tearful, Mikasa grasps Levi’s wrist tightly and pins down his lower body with her shin, but instead of fighting back, Levi still tries to reason with her. [Ackerstraddle panel count: 2.]

Levi could’ve perfectly used force to drive her away, but he doesn’t. He lessens his struggling, but doesn’t let go of the serum box yet. At the same time, Mikasa is taken by surprise, wondering why Levi would do that. Despite her desperation, she hesitates to take the box from him by force.

While she hesitates, Levi tells Mikasa that humanity needs Erwin’s strength. [Ackerstraddle panel count: 3.]

It seems Mikasa doesn’t have an answer to that. Flocke also tries to reason with her, but one look from her enraged face is enough to make him back down. [Ackerstraddle panel count: 4.]

Mikasa doesn’t move from her position on top of Levi. [Ackerstraddle panel count: 5.]

Eren is back in the game, and tries to change Levi’s mind again. [Ackerstraddle panel count: 6.]

Eren’s speech leaves both Levi and Mikasa shocked. [Ackerstraddle panel count: 7.]

Mikasa tries to wring the serum box from the Captain’s hand, but he doesn’t let go so easily. Then, despite the situation they’re in, she asks for it... nicely.  Clearly she also wants to stop their struggle at once after Eren’s words.

Flocke tries to butt in in the Ackerbowl again, and Mikasa tells him to shut up. Levi doesn’t move or say another word. [Ackerstraddle panel count: 8.]

Flocke’s words finally reach them, and it seems to make something snap in Levi’s mind.

When Flocke tries to separate Levi and Mikasa, Mikasa quickly turns the blade on its blunt edge and is ready to drive him away. On the other hand, Levi, now free of the blade against his neck, desperately tells her to stop instead of overpowering her... [Ackerstraddle panel count: 9.]

...and finally, Hange enters the fray, forcefully extracts Mikasa from Levi and puts an end to the Ackerbowl! [Ackerstraddle panel count: 10.]

Ten. That’s how many times Isayama has drawn Mikasa straddling Levi in this chapter alone. Despite the possibly disastrous effect it could have on their relationship, the Ackerbowl far surpasses anything the Rivamika fans could’ve asked for in the manga! 

I’ll say it again. Levi and Mikasa fight and struggle on top of each other for the most part of chapter 84. 

[08/09/16] ANSWERS Databook

On the very same day Chapter 84 is released in Japan, Kodansha releases the newest SNK databook, titled ANSWERS. While the first glimpses of the databook would take more than three weeks to surface on Tumblr, when they do they take the Rivamika fandom by storm... 

In an interview with Isayama, he explains the Ackerman ‘liege’ mechanism shared between Levi and Mikasa towards Erwin and Eren respectively, stating that Levi and Mikasa have guardian roles that match their personalities / nature.

Isayama also states that Levi recognizes that he’s “tethered to his own strength”, that Mikasa is the same and that Ackermans can unleash extraordinary power when they devote themselves to their respective ‘lieges’.

...and he also gives a name to Mikasa’s clan, or “asian” bloodline - the East Sea Clan.

Lastly, the page that put an end to the “Rivamika is incest” argument. The fundamental bond between Levi and Mikasa. The Ackerman and East Sea Clan family tree! 

It confirms the information Grandpa Ackerman shared with Kenny in chapter 65 and the fandom’s assumption that Levi and Mikasa are third cousins at the closest, and probably much less related.

This page also has an interesting revelation: The East Sea Clan - not just the Ackerman Clan - also served the King of the walls long ago. Back in chapter 65, Grandpa Ackerman had only mentioned that they were a separate bloodline immune to memory manipulation just like the Ackermans, and they had some sort of status that they gave up when they turned their backs on the monarchy. What makes the East Sea Clan so special, then, besides their physical appearance...?

[09/09/16] Chapter 85

Levi lightly kicks Eren for not telling everything about the Serumbowl to Armin, but Mikasa doesn’t react.

She seems very nervous this time, because she knows she overdid it when she confronted Levi during the Ackerbowl. While Levi’s comment is a jab at both Mikasa and Eren for their insubordination, it’s also a reminder that clearly both of them really cherished their friend, and it’s meant to comfort Armin.

After a tense month of waiting, fans were expecting Levi and Mikasa’s relationship to face a very bumpy ride because of the Ackerbowl. However, Levi proves once again how soft-hearted he is by forgiving Mikasa and Eren for doing everything in their power to save Armin, complete with head ruffles and a flustered, sweating Mikasa!  Not only that, he comforts them, telling them to not regret their decision (his special No Regrets™ speech), with ultimately means he respected the outcome of their fight and in a way forgives them for the unfortunate things that happened (Even though Eren and Mikasa wouldn’t come out of this without being punished...).

This is the very first time we see Mikasa a little intimidated by the Captain, since she knows she went overboard by attacking him. Rivamika fans were blessed with a cute yet bittersweet scene, and while things between these two might be a little more complicated from now on, it looks a lot less worse than what everyone was expecting.

Shortly after that, Mikasa and Levi are seen working together to lift up wooden beams.

After being forgiven and having her hair ruffled by Levi, Mikasa starts to react nervously to his actions, just like Eren. She’s quick to obey him despite the Captain calling them brats.

[01/09/17] Chapter 89

Levi interrupts Mikasa’s small talk with Eren as soon as they’re reunited out of jail, and while she doesn’t look very pleased she’s not angry either. 

[04/15/17] Episode 28

The anime team splits the carriage scene from chapter 37, “Southwestward”, into multiple parts and alters Levi’s dialogue towards Mikasa.

While his “I don’t know why you’re so attached to Eren” and “use all your skills to protect Eren” lines stay, his last line - “control yourself, don’t make another blunder” - is now directed at Eren, and not Mikasa.

Levi also looks a lot more stern than in the manga when he scolds Eren.

The anime team makes a series of small changes to the scene where Mikasa saves Historia, turning it even more into an almost exact parallel of the Episode 13 scene where Levi saves the EMA trio.

July 10, 2017 I make a post saying there’s a blog been copy/trace my art style. [Here’s the link] 

I was hoping they see this and decided to stop, but it didn’t. So the a week later I contact this person in tumblr message. ( I didn’t send in ask cause that way I can’t keep evidences.) 

This is the conversation from first day. They said they were inspires by “dinilahi” which is the username I use on DeviantArt many years ago, I remove all my fanarts there after I find out my works and the request I did were repost to 4chan, they using my works in shipping war, hate posts, make fun of my poor English with racist jokes..etc (If you have doubt about if it really is me, send me messages there, I will answer you when I see it) I remove my works there cause I can’t stand people using my arts to do such things, and I stop drawing for monthes. It was the first time this kinda painful thing happen to me.

This person then claim they “really had not seen anything about you blog”. But how can that be? If it was “dinilahi”’s arts inspire you, why is the arts you trace “similar” to the arts on my tumblr blog not what was on DA?

I made this art and post on December 28, 2014, and the date I decided to leave DA is around March 2012. And they make their post on September 12, 2015. So this doesn’t seems right. plus they use some of my costume designs for characters, which I design them after I using tumblr.  Therefore I ask them for more explanations.

They mention they don’t speak English, I understand that, My native language is not English as well, and like I said, there’s people made fun of my English before. That’s why after this conversation, I ask someone if they could help me translate my messages into Spanish. 

The second thing they mention is a site name Z forum, which I haven’t heard about before. And they bring up youtube video.

 Actually, about two years ago, I made a post saying I am not okay with a certain channel using my comic without asking for permission first, and they still did not notify me after I ask them to. Here’s the post. I am aware this channel wasn’t the only one using my arts/comics without asking, so I didn’t do anything after that post. and the channel and those video still there ( with different music at least, I do appreciate they at least change the music)

The Third thing they said “If some of my resent publications resemble something to yours is because I’m taking old jobs that I had already saved for two years” .....in my opinion, this action you took is already not okay....

Here’s the message I ask the person to translate, if you want to read it: " I understand that you did take inspiration from my art and you think I should find it flattering but right now I hope you can understand that your artworks still resemble my work a lot and it's giving me a lot of anxiety. I'm not asking you to stop drawing but just start experimenting with different art styles. That is all that I ask. "

And here’s the reply:

They said they would put water mark on the drawings, and I don’t think it can fix anything. I thought they must misunderstood my words again.

No surprise, the video was from the channel I complained about two years ago. But even though this channel did not ask for my permission, at least they did put a link to my tumblr blog on the description. So....why would this person still claim they didn’t know my existence? And even thought I can’t find their user name in my follower list, but they follow my friend who reblog my posts pretty often, it doesn’t make much sense that they did know me.

So I send my suspicion to them again: “ You seems misunderstood my words, please stop using my art style, and find your own art style. And thank you for the link. I know this YouTube channel, they use my comics without my permission and I am still not happy about this. But if you claim you didn't know my existence and only saw my work in these video, that wouldn't make sense since they did put a link to my tumblr blog in the description.”

i had just found out that the danish word for lion is løve. then out of curiosity, i looked up more lion-related words in the language and came across løvinde, which means lioness, so i just took out the i. also it’s perfect bc i’ve been associated with lions all my life. it’s basically a personality trait at this point.
