last night was talking to a friend who had just read annihilation and was like ‘i hated it and i’m reading the second one to try to understand what happened’ and i was like. oh we fundamentally approach media in very different ways huh

Today was intresting and very hyper for me. At school we had a program with a jingle. One of them put storm as a parody (they won), and I noticed immediately. I started freaking out bc that was the first irl direct reference I've gotten since hyperfixating on epic. And then mid way in the program I heard someone singing epic for multiple times already and my friend said it was xyrs friend in the classroom beside us and xe called her and I started freaking out more. And the girl tells me that her and her ther friend were doing this epic concert in the room. She invited me to join and I told her I can't sing but she said it doesn't matter cuz they can't either but that was obviously a lie. Anywho, I forced my friend go come with me(the same friend) and I was shy at first but by the end I started singing along more. Sadly we didn't finish it but someday I'd want to and I also wanna be friends with them.

In a side note, I asked my friend if I can possibly be friends with that girl that he was friends with and xe said, AND I QUOTE: " if you're mentally ill enough." , so of course I ask "Well am I?" And xe replied without even thinking about it. "Yes"
