SIXTEEN Other Ways Ellie Could've Played Her Game

"It doesn't bother me that you kicked Tom out. It's a game after all. But maybe you should've done things in a way where they wouldn't get hurt."

"It was the only way, Miriam. I'm sorry."

You know, this whole thing gets WORSE AND WORSE the more I think about it.

I'm losing braincells over it as we speak, so I need to GET THIS OUT OF MY HEAD and make a post about it.

In Season 1 Episode 10 of Disventure Camp, it's the Final Six.

Ellie Parker (Yes that's her full name) finds herself in a bit of a predicament. She's an outcast. There's an alliance of 3 consisting of Tom Jake and Miriam, and there's an alliance of 2 consisting of Fiore and Alec. Ellie WAS associated with the Alliance of 3 just tagging along, but she realizes that if she stays with them to get Fiore and Alec out, SHE WILL BE NEXT.

After all, Tom and Jake are lovers and Miriam is their surrogate grandmother. Compared to THOSE relationships she's just 'the friend tagging along'.

And Ellie NEEDS this money more than ANY of these guys. So she decides to begin her villain arc.

"That money will fund my dreams of fashion school! No more sleepless nights, barely making rent, working from dawn to dusk... whatever I need to do to win, I'll do it!"

So, what's her plan? In the canon, her plan is to...

Gaslight Jake into betraying Tom and striking a deal with Fiore and Alec. A deal Fiore betrays anyway.

And that's the SIMPLE way to describe this plan.

I've said this multiple times now. THIS IS A STUPID PLAN.

Not only is Ellie putting her trust in people untrustworthy, AND SHE KNOWS THAT, but she also psychologically hurts Jake on a very personal level, WHICH SHE KNOWS IT IS, and both blow up in her face!

Fiore betrays her trust and outs her plan, and Jake is PISSED at her.

She starts the episode with three allies. She ends the episode with ZERO allies.

From there, because she's more preoccupied with reading Jake for filth, she has to rely on LUCK to get her to the finals.

5th place could've VERY EASILY been HER. She had to rely on Fiore and Alec making the choice. And Miriam could've easily been playing Ellie and betrayed her, leaving her in 4th place.

I DUNNO ABOUT YOU, BUT I DON'T THINK LUCK IS A GOOD STRATEGY.

It's also because of THIS that she LOSES the entire game in the end.

Because of her manipulating the resident boytoy the way she did, not only is HE gunning for her, but so is his ally/surrogate grandma. It didn't matter that he got eliminated next episode. YOU DON'T MESS WITH GRANDMA.

Had Ellie not taken the route that she did, Miriam wouldn't have plotted revenge and would've been more accepting of her loss, and probably wouldn't have done her fake heart attack scheme.

AND THEN ELLIE WOULD'VE WON THE WHOLE THING.

SHE DID THIS TO HERSELF.

So I want to help her out, because I believe in an alternate universe of the show, she COULD win and make a GREAT plan to help her win and get past the Final Six dilemma.

Now, the show doesn't really GIVE any other route Ellie could've taken. The writers were very confident out this, to the point where the characters constantly say to our faces: "THERE WAS NO OTHER WAY."

"There's no other way Ellie."

So... MAYBE I should just accept this.

Maybe there really was no other way. In order to get out of debt and fulfill your dreams and save your life, some people have to get caught in the crossfire. Maybe... maybe there was no saving any of these bonds that have been formed after all...

...

I could call BULLSHIT.

There WERE other ways she could've played this game and get the results she wanted!

Ways that would've led to a BETTER outcome for her going forward in the game than what ended up happening!

She did NOT have to trigger Jake's PTSD to make him relapse.

She did NOT have to break up the Jam.

She did NOT have to put her trust in Fiore and Alec.

She did NOT have to make her plan so bloody complicated.

👏THERE. 👏WERE. 👏WAYS.👏

HELL, I said SOMETHING in my Episode 10 Reaction:

"There's just a dozen impersonal ways to play this game."

Now you may be thinking: "A DOZEN? Can you really come up with A DOZEN alternative plans Ellie could've done?"

NO.

I came up with MORE than that.

I'm doing SIXTEEN.

I'm gonna list all of them and climb up a mountain and scream so it echoes:

"'THERE WAS NO OTHER WAY' MY ASS!!!"

Okay, starting off these plans, we need to understand the playing field for Ellie.

There's an Alliance of 3 consisting of Tom Jake and Miriam. Currently, Ellie is tagging along with these three as she is Jake's 'friend' quote on quote.

There's also an Alliance of 2 consisting of Fiore and Alec. They are the minority. They are the targets unless they gain immunity.

Because Ellie has the weakest bond with the three, and NOT on good terms with the two, after the two are eliminated, she is in the belief that she would be next to go.

BUT DOES THAT HAVE TO BE A CERTAINTY?

Plan A - Stick With Tom Jake And Miriam

Let's face it, these three are much better people than Fiore and Alec, who have proven time and time again to be filthy backstabbers. Ellie had been stabbed TWICE by Alec prior to this episode.

So these three are not only unlikely to pull a backstab on people they care about, but they're also kind and considerate.

"But Ellie has the worst bond" SO WHAT? SOCIALIZE.

Talk to them, swap some stories with them, get to know them and get them to trust you and see you as this wonderful ally and person who deserves the world. Especially if they understand your motives for needing the money.

They're more likely to save you that way, especially if they're such good friends. And then you have a shot!

But what if, no matter how much you put yourself in their faces, your bond is still the weakest with the alliance?

Plan B - Make A Deal With Fiore And Alec

"But hang on, didn't she do this in canon?"

Yes... BUT I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE CANON WAY SHE WENT ABOUT IT.

Making this deal, she says she will vote for whoever they tell her to if they give her immunity.

Ellie, YOU ARE NOT A TARGET AT THE MOMENT. You don't need immunity.

Fiore and Alec are untrustworthy. So why would you give them the power to decide who goes?

So instead, make a different deal. A deal in which YOU have full power.

They HAVE to oblige anyway because they're minority and will be screwed if they don't.

"I'll join your side and vote with you. But I decide who we're voting for."

BOOM. You have full power and you decide who of the three should go.

There's NO ROOM for Fiore and Alec to betray that as far as I'm concerned. If they don't vote for who you want, the other three get a majority vote and they'd be screwed. THEY HAVE TO DO WHAT YOU SAY.

They can get out the biggest threat of the alliance, Tom, as a result. Which is what they wanted in canon.

BUT, that's a TIE. What if Fiore or Alec lose that tie?

Good point. After all, a tie is risky. You don't know who's gonna win that tiebreaker.

SO CONSIDER THAT TIEBREAKER AND CONTROL YOUR ODDS.

Plan C - Manipulate Who The People In The Tie Are Gonna Be

This is Plan B but with MORE to it.

With that Plan B deal, you have Fiore and Alec wrapped around your finger. So you can tell them to vote for whichever of the three you want.

And considering the other three DON'T know about this deal. THEY TRUST YOU.

So I call this: PLAYING BOTH SIDES.

Tell the Three that you have this brilliant idea to vote off one of the two. If you want to stick with Fiore and Alec, tell them ALEC is the better choice to vote for.

THEN, go to Fiore and Alec and tell them to vote off either Jake or Miriam, two who are physically much weaker than Tom.

So Alec has a much bigger chance of surviving the tiebreaker than, say, Jake. And Jake is gone.

OR if you want to stick with the three, do the manipulation the opposite way. Tell Fiore and Alec to vote off Tom. Then tell the three to vote off Fiore. NO CONTEST THERE.

That would be some sweet, sweet revenge on Alec after what he did to you, Ellie. Just saying. Karma's a bitch.

But what if a tie is too risky, PERIOD?

Plan D - Stir Up Miscommunication

We all know Jake is a gullible idiot, at least according to the writers. So manipulate him, and prevent him from talking to Tom and Miriam.

OKAY BUT NOT IN THE CANON WAY SHE DID IT.

I'm talking about convincing him "Hey, voting off, say... ALEC is the better option." And then make sure that plan is NOT communicated with Tom and Miriam and they're left thinking that the vote is Fiore.

Just prevent Jake from talking to them about it all day.

BOOM, the majority alliance's votes are SPLIT.

Two votes Fiore. One vote Alec. Three votes Tom. Tom is out.

Bonus if you can somehow convince them that it was Jake that flipped. Then Jake is a surefire next target after Tom.

But what if they figure out your scheme and counter it?

THAT'S A GOOD POINT. After all, Tom has an immunity idol. And Ellie has the information that Tom has an immunity idol.

I'm not discarding that being into play in all of this.

Well, with the previous plans, the simple solution is to not bring it up. After all, the three trust Ellie and don't know her scheme. So they THINK they have the majority.

So if you keep your mouth shut, Tom will think he, and his allies, are in NO danger, and he WON'T use the idol at all.

That's ONE way to go about the idol being discarded.

...without it being so convoluted.

OR, I have other ways you can do that.

PLAN E - Persuade Tom To Misplay The Idol

This is KIND OF like what Fiore does, to be fair.

Because Ellie knows about Tom's idol because he told her about it, he trusts HER to help him make that call.

So simply, LIE.

Tell Tom right before elimination, "Hey, I heard... Miriam (or whoever) talking with Fiore and Alec and she's planning to flip and vote Jake off. You have to use your idol to save him or we're screwed."

And if Tom is as much of a dumbass as he is, he'll believe it and play the idol.

And then he can watch as Jake gets zero votes and Tom himself is the one to go instead. (If you use Plan D into this)

But what if Tom is smarter than that and he uses his idol power wisely?

PLAN F - Convince Tom To Give The Idol To You

Tom thinks you're an ally. Just explain your situation to him and come up with a good argument as to why YOU need the idol instead.

Explain to him that YOU are a much more valuable ally in the long run, like your motive, or Jake and Miriam being stronger players, or make a promise that if he gives you the idol, you'll have his back all the way to the finals.

You don't even have to keep that promise, so long as you get the idol.

But what if Tom refuses to cooperate with that?

Well, I have another solution, one that I have said MULTIPLE TIMES, and is by far my favorite one out of all of these.

PLAN G - 📢STEAL THE IDOL!!

YOU KNEW THIS ONE WAS COMING.

The game NEVER says that the person who finds the idol is the only one who can activate it. And if that IS a rule, it was never established.

Far as I'm understanding when it comes to Survivor and this show, an idol gets activated when it is handed to the host.

So all you have to do is be the one to hand the idol over.

And if you don't trust Tom with that idol power, then the best solution is to STEAL IT for yourself.

Just silently snatch it from Tom's pocket.

But okay, maybe it's not that easy. Here's what I propose this plan looks like.

Ellie can convince Tom and Jake to have some bonding time together and happily go swimming. A scenario that forces Tom to not take his stuff with him, and therefore the idol.

Then, when no one is in the cabin, give a thumbs up to Fiore so Fiore can sneak in and STEAL THE IDOL.

Then when Tom is questioning where his idol is, he's forced to watch in Tribal Council as Fiore turns in the idol and nullifies four votes against her, and the two votes against Tom send him packing.

Or if you don't want that, then Ellie can just steal it for herself and use it in the Final Four. Then a single vote against Tom is enough. And Tom is gone and you're in the finals!

BUT WAIT, WON'T TOM NOTICE?

That ain't gonna happen if you make a fake idol and swap the two!

Ellie knows what the idols look like. Gabby used one on her. So just gather a couple of twigs and glue and do an arts and crafts project to make a fake idol to swap the two with.

Then when Tom turns in the idol and gets the news it's fake, JUST IMAGINE THE DUMFOUNDED LOOK ON HIS FACE.

"Oh shit."

Either way, STEALING THE IDOL is one of the best solutions that gives you a ton of power over everyone. IT'S BRILLIANT.

IDK WHY YOU DIDN'T EVEN CONSIDER THAT. COME ON.

...

OKAY OKAY OKAY, BUT WHAT IF you never get the chance to steal it?

What if Tom is THAT bad at laundry that he never strips with even his belt? I mean, that's plausible, the dude really hates exposing himself to the sun.

SOOOOOOOOOO...

PLAN H - Rig The Votes

If there's anything you can learn from BEST BOY HAROLD, rigging the votes is a very effective strategy.

Just make sure you're the last one to write down the name, then unscrew the box, swap out everyone else's votes with five votes against Tom, and then screw the lid back on and act like nothing happened.

Then watch as everyone is VERY CONFUSED on how the hell Tom got five votes against him. While YOU smile in the campfire with your marshmallow late at night.

Buuuuuuuuuuttt what if you can't do that?

After all, that IS technically cheating, and MAYBE Ellie isn't comfortable with cheating? I would think she would be, "Whatever it takes" and all of that, but WHATEVER.

PLAN I - Find An Advantage

After all, Tom found an idol advantage in that challenge. Who's to say there weren't others?

If you can find an advantage, you can activate it whenever, wherever, and save your skin in the Final 4 once Fiore and Alec are gone.

But what if you've searched the whole planet and there's no other advantage in sight?

PLAN J - Persuade Jake To Quit

Going back to the manipulating Jake card.

Jake's motivation was his grandmother, who died. He don't need the money no more. He wants LOVE, NOT MONEY.

So just take advantage of that gullible trait of his and persuade him that quitting would make him A REALLY GOOD FRIEND. AND NOBODY WOULD EVER LEAVE HIM EVER AGAIN IF HE GAVE THEM THE MONEY INSTEAD.

"Your fancy new boyfriend finds quitting the game to help friends really hot, you know?"

Okay, TECHNICALLY it's ALSO 'personally playing Jake's trauma to regress him'. BUT, you know why it's better?

Tom and Jake don't break up from this case.

But what if Jake is smarter than that and doesn't quit?

PLAN K - Give Tom The Nichelle Treatment

In the Total Drama Reboot, Julia fakes a Hollywood Letter to convince Nichelle to leave the game.

TOM IS A GOOD TARGET FOR THIS TOO.

The dude is a SPY on a mission to expose the host's crimes of killing wildlife.

"But Ellie doesn't know Tom is a spy" HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT? IT WAS UPLOADED ON THE INTERNET.

Just fake a letter to Tom from is boss, saying, "Hey, there's a clue to solving this case and if you take this NOW, we'll give you your job back and give you a raise! XOXO, Your Spy Boss"

Tom will HAVE to leave the game and do this, otherwise he'd be penniless!

But what if Tom sees through this fake letter and doesn't fall for it?

Well, who said we had to EMOTIONALLY hurt people?

PLAN L - Hurt Jake

No I don't mean the way she did in canon. I mean PHYSICALLY AND LITERALLY HURT HIM.

Just lure him to a nearby cliff and SHOVE HIM OFF.

He'll fall, SEVERELY hurt himself, guaranteeing some broken bones. And he'll HAVE to be medically evacuated from the game.

You can do this ANY WAY you want to. Lure him to a bear cave and get him mauled. Lure him to the scorpion cave and get him mauled. Get him to climb a tree and have him fall off and hurt himself. Or poison him. Or directly whack his legs with a bat. Or ANYTHING that gets him to the hospital!

So long as Jake is out of the game and out of the picture, it works.

But what if Jake's bones are made of steel and he can't be hurt?

Well geez that's some gay token plot armor if I've ever heard of it.

PLAN M - Murder Miriam

The woman's seventy two and easily vulnerable as a result.

So she's the easiest target to... eliminate from the picture.

"Whatever it takes" right?

Just find a weapon, get you two alone with no cameras, and KILL HER.

OR, slip her something poisonous. It's the woods after all.

OR, overwork her and give her a REAL heart attack.

So long as she dies.

Then at some point in the episode they'll find her body.

One less out of the picture. You're in the Final Five.

"BUT WON'T JAKE AND TOM BE DEVASTATED?!"

THAT'S PERFECT, THEN. If they're emotionally devastated and mourning and vulnerable, they can't think straight and you have all the power and they can easily be taken out!

But what if the fairy tale route is used and Tom and Jake instead unite stronger from this?

That's not how depression works. But it's fiction, so whatever.

PLAN N - Murder EVERYONE

JUST KILL ALL FIVE OF THEM.

Find a gun from the VR challenge and SHOOT ALL OF THEM IN THE HEAD.

Or you could trap the five in the zombie apocalypse with the VR again and KEEP THEM THERE. NEVER TO WAKE UP AGAIN.

It's EVIL. But it's also payback for cutting your arm off.

With everyone out of the picture and there's no contestants left, THE MONEY IS YOURS.

BUT WHAT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KILL ANYONE?

PLAN O - Strike A Deal With The Hosts

They're criminals, right?

Tell them you'll cover for them and their crimes IF they let you win the million dollars.

You can pay for their lawyers in case any suspicion is brought up and defend them in court.

They're the hosts. They can rig the game so that Ellie can win.

Nobody else has to know about it. You're rich. And technically THEY'RE the ones committing these crimes, not you.

So you can ditch them if you want.

BUT WHAT IF THAT'S TOO BIG OF A BURDEN TO PLACE?

PLAN P - Steal The Money

Who cares about the game? It's not about the game, it's about the MONEY.

SO WHY NOT JUST ROB THE DISVENTURE CAMP BANK?

Just sneak in late at night and plan a ROBBERY.

Steal the money for yourself and slip out of sight. Or take the bus and drive it off a cliff.

You're rich. You can pay for college, your bills, EVERYTHING YOU COULD EVER WANT.

BUT. WHAT. IF. After ALL these BRILLIANT plans, you are STILL the social outcast and the next to go once an alliance is wiped out?

What if there is NO scenario where Ellie can win the game?

Well... maybe destiny had always been against Ellie.

Maybe she can't win Disventure Camp. No matter how hard she tries, the universe has other plans for her.

After all, to ditch her morality, and the bonds she made, all for money... is it even worth it?

So... here's a final, bonus, plan.

PLAN BONUS - Give Up

Just cut your losses and accept your fate.

No matter what you do, once Fiore and Alec get eliminated, you are the next to go. Tom Jake and Miriam's bond is just too strong to break.

And maybe it's best if you don't break that. After all, you ARE their friend.

...

So who's to say they won't include you in their little family as well?

After all, they're good people and care about you.

A million dollars, is, well, A LOT. So why don't we split it?

Miriam won in canon. Let's say she wins this AU as well. So long as Ellie remains a good, noble ally and a wonderful friend that is great at counseling the boys, they'll help HER too.

They'll give Ellie the money she needs to finish up college and pay her bills and she will never be in debt again so long as her friends are there to help support her.

Those three don't even need the money that much, so who's to say they won't do this for her?

So the moral of the story: Money can't buy friends. And the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP will give you better results in life.

And in ALL these case scenarios, you get the threats out of the game, you increase your odds social-wise, Jake isn't gunning for you, Miriam isn't gunning for you, you don't open yourself for betrayal by Fiore and Alec, Tom and Jake don't break up, and you get money!

EVERYONE WINS!!

So yeah. There WERE other ways Ellie could've went about her plan.

I’m SO tired of the amount of romance drama in this fucking show it’s making me insane. The only THREE characters in Dcas who don’t have romance being an important part of their arc in this season or their original season is FIORE, MIRIAM AND LAKE. The two who basically CAN’T have a romance plot because of their ages, and Lake who was only rlly close in age to Maggy from her season. Shoutout to Lake for being spared from the horrors.

Otherwise they are ALL involved in romance in some way or another, and it’s so tiring especially bc this show just has to go out of it’s way to ruin every single one of them either by some several episode long conflict or giving them 0 screentime. Hell, they can’t even resist doing the same thing to many of the friendships in this series. Tess, Ally and Hunter barely interacted at all after all the set up in season 2, Tom and Gabby barely interacted until the episode he was eliminated in, I don’t think we got a single scene with Jake and Miriam after ep 1, like… what is The Point. There’s also Grett and Gabby, and they were great!!! But they REALLY could’ve started that whole arc earlier. Episode 12 ends with them being Reluctant friends, they don’t really start getting along great until the end of episode 13, and then we get one single episode and Gabbys gone. Awesome. If they KNEW they were doing this, why couldn’t they have started having them interact since the moment Gabby joined the villains alliance? As much as I enjoyed their interactions, it did feel a bit undeserved to me how they were treated as Absolute Bffs forever after 2 episodes when they had more time to set it up. For example, the scene where Riya tells Grett off for not standing up for herself could’ve easily been Gabby, Riya and Grett don’t even interact after that.

Now basically the only friendship we have left is Jake and Aiden.. PLEASEE don’t ruin them for some stupid forced drama I’m begging you!! I think we’ve officially gone past the Jake’s character arc takes 50 steps back and causes a dumb conflict for no reason point, but there is still the fact that Aiden doesn’t know Jake is the reason James was eliminated. I’m just waiting for them to bring it up and ruin everything again at this point.

i hate how ONC handles every single relationship. want romance? heres two guys that have chemistry but GUESS WHAT MISCOMMUNICATION now their chemistry is gone. sorry about that, heres sapphics HAHA NO BUILD-UP OR MEANINGFUL SCREENTIME GET FUCKED. what? straight people? but theyre not marketable to fujoshis- ughhh fine heres an OFF-SCREEN ROMANCE YAY!!!!!!!

want a friendship? sure here!! *ellie betrays jake* aw dang it! *fiore betrays alec* aw dang it! *gabby betrays dan* aw dang it! *ally and jake start arguing bc jakes immature* aw dang it! *jake gets ashley out cuz hes an idiot* aw dang it! *miriam and jake have almost zero interaction in AS* aw dang it! *connor and alec are ruined bc of a love triangle* aw dang it!

and the FUCKING. LOVE TRIANGLES IM GOUGING MY EYES OUT. i hate the love triangles and i hate this show and i hate this studio if they ruin reality resort with their shitty writing i am going on a killing spree

I tried rewriting Disventure Camp All Stars (1/4 and this was mostly done out of curiosity)

What if Miriam didn’t come back to compete also Jake and Tom healthily communicated after Season 1. Also I decided that Emily, Derek, and Trevor won’t be appearing. Plus I’m busy trying to leave the fandom

Ep 1

-First off Miriam will be replaced with an OC, Chuck. She/They AroAce Vietnamese. A minimum wage office worker in the Disventure camp staff and secretly dislikes Crystal. She comes across as aloof and antisocial, but also observant when needed to be.

-First things first she does answer the interview well and isolates herself from the other contestants during the plane ride she does become stoic once Jake takes the window seat. When they parachute out and Riya pushes Aidan, Chuck casually grabs a parachute and secretly pushes off Riya before jumping.

-To her chagrin, she’s on the Yellow team w/ Riya, Connor, Alec, Yul and Grett.

Ep 2

-Chuck manages to catch up with her team and compliments Connor’s Fire starting, ‘nifty’

-During Yellow’s conversation, Chuck isn’t an active talker the whole time, but she does listen well. Chuck’s also the only one on her team who doesn’t have a glamorous job and active social media. She confesses that she knows about the series since she skimmed all of the episodes online.

-Before the challenge, Chuck’s wearing a rash guard and swim trunks over their swimsuit, cause they can subvert gender norms while being beach ready. During the whole activity, Chuck struggles defending her team’s goal, because of internal teammate distrust and attention span, but helps score some points. Said challenge ends the same way with Cyan in 1st, Yellow in 2nd (Chuck thinks they have a high chance of winning the next challenge) and Magenta 3rd with them voting out Fiore. No hate to Fiore at all but since in this AU Tom and Jake have a form of healthy communication at the start, it prevents James from having a Target on his back.

Ep 2

-Already the yellow team isn’t doing good after yesterday’s challenge obviously Connor walks off cause of Riya rebuffing him so Chuck decides to follow him.

-Surprisingly Chuck does get along with Connor and Alec, plus both her and Al advise Connor to not take Riya’s bs maybe and break it off, prolly for good. After bonding with Connor, Chuck realizes that “K this is crazy but Connor kind of reminds me of my grandpa”

-The challenge is the same, since Miriam and Fiore aren’t in the challenge, Chuck decides to help Alec locate the treasure scoring their team immunity. Magenta gets second and Cyan is in third with Lake getting eliminated.

Ep 3

-Satisfied with their first victory, Chuck and Riya end up noticing the tension in Yul and Grett’s relationship on their own. Surprisingly Chuck shares with Riya that she isn’t a fan of BTS reject because of her not so great attention span and she might forget the conversation she had with Riya. Then she confesses, “Eh prolly not.”

-Learning about what Connor and Riya did yesterday, Chuck advises to let Connor make his own choices and find out on his own accord. Plus Chuck doesn’t join the villain alliance but gets curious about what’s happening.

-At the sandbag challenge, Magenta team finally scored immunity, Cyan’s in second and yellow last. Chuck managed to score a sandbag by digging it up and crazily swung it at Ashley and Tess confusing them but making to her team. Since Yul failed to score a Sandbag, he got eliminated all because Riya convinced Grett while Chuck convinced Alex and Connor. Due to Miriam not being on the team, there were no letters made to expose the Villain’s alliance due to Chuck’s growing skepticism on the three other teams.

Ep 4

-Chuck goes for a walk with Connor and ends up asking him to join on the way. Also Chuck and Riya supported Grett after Yul’s elimination, Chuck even said “You don’t need that douche” and her confession was “Really who even does?”

-She also tells Connor something suspicious is going on in all three teams and now Connor’s skeptical and they’ll both have to watch their backs and find proof. Then Connor explains what he did before and during Season 2 surprising Chuck. She also reveals to him that she was in a trust building camp and it didn’t end well. Later when Riya discovers that Chuck’s been getting chummy with Connor and confronts them, the latter says, “He’s actually a great person once you get to know him.”

-For the triathalon, Chuck biked with Grett and they did a great job. I won’t skip the details, let’s just say Cyan came in first, Yellow got second and Magenta came in third. Nothing else changes so I’ll just say Hunter gets eliminated

Ep 5 The musical one

-Chuck tests herself by doing a good workout routine of yoga, sit ups and a special one forearmed plank. She’s asks either Alec or Connor to time her. She then explains to her team that while she did really bad in High School Physics Education, the only good memory in it was getting a really good time on a plank.

-When Crystal announces the song challenge, Chuck goes, “Finally something easy!” and she spends the rest of the day helping her team with the music and lyrics

-The challenge pretty much goes the same, (albeit with tension emerging in JakexTom + James & Aiden) when the Yellow team performs, Grett and Chuck notice the faulty spotlight and then they all evacuate when it torches the stage. Cyan and Magenta are safe, while Connor ends up eliminated and after that in a shocking twist Chuck asks to be eliminated too surprising her team and her boss. She noticed the faulty light switch and decided to take accountability for not telling her team so Crystal, now baffled, allows it . After she apologizes to her team and wishes them luck, she goes to help out the interns and Connor, she says to him, “Hey, not just what happened on stage, I also wanted to help you challenge or not.” To which Connor smiles and says, “That’s good, kid.”

Disventure Camp All Stars Power Ranking (Round 19 - Venus)

Recap: Finalists' Helpers

That was a really fun episode! Obviously some of @accirax and I's assumptions about who was going where were dependent on them, uh, getting to choose from all three of them, but we still got some info! Plus, with the trailer, you can see Jake's bench. So far, it looks like I succeeded on Miriam, Aiden, Tom, Lake, and Ashley.

I think the final helpers are some really interesting choices! Fiore helping Ally will bring back some of Ally's early season woes and force her to think about the journey she's gone along. James helping Jake, similarly, will call him back to the first fuck up of many this season, allowing Jake to show off how much he's changed. Yul helping Riya will help Riya see that if you're a self absorbed jackass, everyone will hate you!

Looking forward to the finale starting this Saturday. It'll be wild to eventually see the winner get crowned in real time.

Onto the list!

1: Jake

I am still dying on this hill. Or surviving, because Jake is even more likely to win now!

I don't really see them wanting to give either Fiore or Yul the support money, so that's a point against Ally and Riya. I've already been "Jake is the winner" pilled for a while, so if he's gonna win, he can't go down as we go from final 3 to final 2.

I really do think the James selection is also to let Jake correct the major wrong this season he still hasn't. Like, he's made up with Aiden, he's working on making up with Ally, he and Tom are set up to work things out, and even Ellie was in support of TomJake endgame in the losers' motel. James was very much portrayed as the one person on the benches who still hasn't forgiven Jake, which gives Jake a great opportunity to prove why he deserves to win.

Also, Jake is totally gonna have to succeed at climbing something. I recently rewatched all of DCAS and he struggles with climbing things SO many times. Maybe James can help another twink overcome his fear of heights in the finale or something.

(Also, I think James is going to give Ally the 100k in support money.)

2: Ally

Ally is my pick for the other person in the final 2, but it's definitely possible that Jake and Riya could be final 2. Still, I think there's a lot of merit to the idea of a Jake vs. Ally final 2.

Ally and Jake were told by Connor to work together to make sure Riya doesn't win. I think that's most narratively satisfiable by having the two of them both outrank Riya and finally take her out of the competition.

There's also the fact that Kristal said that the new helpers are here for the first part of the finale. I definitely don't think it's a coincidence that we heard from both Hunter and Tom just how much it would mean to them to help out their love interests in the finale. I'm expecting that, when we hit final 2, the contestants will get to choose who they want to help them from their bench. Jake chooses Tom and Ally chooses Hunter. That also means that both of them will have had a helper from both Season 1 and Season 2, which is a nice bonus.

I also don't think Ally is going to win, for whatever it's worth. I'll save that mostly for next week, but I think Ally's arc will be more meaningful if she ends with acceptance that she didn't win the game and that people might not have seen her strategy pay off. She needs to just be happy with having people who love and care about her.

3: Riya

Speaking of people who need to not-win and instead understand that people love and care about them...

As I said earlier, I think it makes way too much sense for Riya to go down from a combo of Jake and Ally taking her down. I also have no idea who she'd choose for the second stage, nor why they would have highlighted Tom and Hunter if either of them WEREN'T going to get a chance to help out.

I think Riya's best bet is if the two part finale doesn't have the third placer go out significantly before the second placer. That's definitely possible, considering in the previews of the thumbnails we saw all three finalists dressed up in gladiatorial armor, which implies they're all still in the challenge as of the second part of the finale. It's possible it's just a Season 2 style finale where the first episode cuts off before the third placer is properly eliminated, though.

It is kinda weird that she has the disadvantage if she's gonna lose, because it seems predictable, but... eh.

Either way, though, I'd be shocked if Riya won. In Season 2, I actually thought she had a shot if the moral was going to be "congrats, you won at any cost. Now what?" However, I don't think that makes sense this season. Riya has already realized that she's lost her social relationships, and as of now, she's still continuing forward. Rewarding her for that doesn't make sense.

I don't really know what ending the writers imagine for Riya. If they wanted her to get fully redeemed by the end, I think she needed to be taken out of the game before the finale. But, I suppose I'll see what they have in store for her sometime soon! After all, there's only... two episodes left of the season... (insert screaming)

He eventually lost access to every single one of those abilities after ending up in Askr, leaving him with nothing but the divine weapon, the Breidablik, which he can use to summon Heroes from across the Fire Emblem series.

Due to having two names, all Jake's allies, including the Order of Heroes, and Anna and the Askran siblings, call him by his nickname, Yamato. While his closest friends and family call him by his given name, Jake. Despite being a close friend, Lucina only calls him Yamato, due to having heard of him from Meta Knight. His nickname comes from the Japanese word meaning "Great Harmony", named after a period of Japanese history when the Imperial court ruled from modern-day Nara Prefecture. There were many speculations regarding his name, but most say that he was named this, because they believed he would bring great harmony to his world.

Jake is married to a saiyan-goddess named Surori. They were once Time Patrollers preventing the past from being changed. But after losing her sister Kara, and regaining her memories of her past, Surori now lives in Fiore with Jake and their new mother, Erza. Due to being summoned to Askr, Surori was all Jake thought about. Meanwhile, she remained in Fiore, praying that her beloved husband will return safely before she, along with the rest of Fairy Tail are defeated by Zeref or Acnologia, which is why Jake always carries a photo of the beloved saiyan couple (was brought along when he ended up in Askr) and has hidden it from everyone ever since. Except Celica.

Despite being married, mentally, Jake has a soft side when it came to other girls. Lucina, for instance, had been his friend since they met in his world before. Corrin views him as her little brother, causing all of her other siblings from Hoshido and Nohr to view him the same way. Especially Camilla, who'd always dote on him. He became very important to Alm and Celica, thanking him for all he's done for them, despite not knowing that he is their descendant (don't ask how I came up with that headcanon I don't know why I came up with it either). Fjorm, princess of Nifl, fell in love with him after the battle against Múspell, despite not knowing that he's married. And Sharena just has a crush on him, despite not knowing that he's already married.

When it comes to his enemies, however, Jake doesn't take too kindly to them. He doesn't like fighting, and he only does it if it was literally life or death. Yet, there are moments where he may be forced to do the wrong thing. He doesn't tolerate anyone who would threaten the ones he cares about. Sometimes, he would get panic attacks over the very thought of losing someone precious to him. Others, he would resort to violence and show no mercy to his enemies. However, Meliodas was the one who taught Jake about morals, and if he ever crosses the line, there's a possibility he won't come back. But he can't help it if his enemies do something horrible to the people in his life important to him. This crisis of conscience was shown when he defeated Freyja of Dökkálfheimr in battle. She offered him a choice to continue living in a dream or accept reality. In that moment, Jake threatened to kil Freyja right on the spot. But he chose not to. Instead, he just walked away, sparing Freyja's life, but leaving her shaken, and broken, and frightened to the core. Veronica has taken notice of the Summoner's dark side, but couldn't say or do anything about it. She's never seen him act so cold and merciless. Especially towards the likes of Freyja.

☀️This Gabby Stan Supports Everything She Does☀️ - Total Drama Viewer Reacts to Disventure Camp Season 1 Episode 6 “The Most Tranquilous Game”

I'm aware of Season 3 airing. I put the poll on whether or not I should watch this while it was. By the time this comes out, this may or may not be before or after the finale of that season is released.

Quite obviously I'm not caught up so I'm not watching that right now. The only thing I know is that the finale is around the corner, and I heard a lot of people online saying they hate the Finalists for some reason.

I also saw awhile back a little meme image (that I won't show cause it's not mine) that "Jake is a garbage human being and he should die" or something.

(Became a Jake stan) ...huh, well ain't that a bit extreme.

That totally gives me hope that things will be civilized.

I didn't plan to get caught up by then, as I'd rather watch at my own pace and actually sink in what's happening so I understand it. I did the same thing with Total Drama. Because whatever show, you have to actually take any and all moments and dialogue into account, otherwise stuff gets misinterpreted.

I know half the time with these reactions I'm cracking jokes, but that's only my way of showing my investment. If I was bored and/or frustrated I wouldn't be doing that.

I hope that's understandable. I'd much rather enjoy this show and form my own opinions and takes from my own viewing experience. Obviously if I have major gripes with a plot element going forward, I'll say it, but for the most part I actually want to hear it out.

Indie Animation such as this get a lot of creative freedom to make whatever story and narrative they want. So instead of whining about corporate interference that isn't there, I'd rather say "I'll hear you out, and here's how I feel personally. Whether I think it was handled well or not with what you were trying to do."

So... I apologize if I show an opinion on something that isn't majority. Like if I like someone you hate or if I don't care for something you love. But also, I'm not gonna apologize for having them.

I'm also thinking about doing a post on the tier list on the characters in this season once I'm done with this season. I think that'll be a fun way to properly explain my takes on all of them.

Ugh... I had a gut feeling though, cause I saw people HATING Jake's character and calling him the worst.

Okay, BUT, I don't hate him. Surprisingly enough.

I'm actually intrigued by his character a lot more now.

I thought he was gonna be the precious bean. The sweetest character. But no, he's petty and impulsive.

I HAVE to give credit though, this is NOT something that came out of nowhere for me. He did snap at Nick in Episode 4 for stubbing his toe, and they established this episode more of Jake's past to add more context to his POV.

So he was in a toxic relationship before and got betrayed by it. That makes perfect sense to me. I understand why he'd be pissed. Tom lied to him.

But he DEFINATELY overreacted towards it. It's one thing to yell at the heat of the moment, it's another to vote for him just because you're pissed.

So, yeah, I'm not excusing his behavior, I'm just understanding WHY.

"OH NO! A character is revealed to have FLAWS. And said flaws made things worse for other people! Well clearly I hate them now!!"

I'm not doing that.

I'm just not that kinda person in how I view media. I don't hate characters just because they have flaws. When you're watching Total Drama, you gotta have that mindset too. Cause in that show, there's A LOT of characters that do screwed up things and it's wrong. So I'm used to it.

If anything, I guess Jake being revealed to have negative traits makes him a lot more interesting now. Cause yeah, I've been there. It sucks. Well, I wasn't in a toxic romantic relationship, but a toxic friendship when I was younger. It lasted for years so it left me pretty distasteful to the people around me and everyone hated me for... acting like Jake did here, honestly. How bout that?

Him and Tom are gonna BREAK ME, I can tell.

At least the lie is outed earlier in the season, so it's not as bad as it could've been...?

Like, it would've been a lot uglier later and it resulted in one of them getting voted off.

But at least they can work this out, right? Cool off, come clean, and repair the damage. Then go out for Chinese Food and hang out by the lake. Everything will be fine. They'll get their Chinese date. IT'LL ALL BE FINE.

...god, looks like I'm having Toxic Yaoi for dinner tonight.

I love Gabby's development SO MUCH HERE. SHE'S TAKING CHARGE. WE LOVE HER. WE SUPPORT EVERYTHING SHE DOES.

Really, of my favs, Gabby is the ONLY one who ACTUALLY did nothing wrong. It looks to be that way.

I didn't expect her to kiss Ellie though. That was cute.

I was expecting that to be just a friendship, but I definitely don't hate this.

Too bad Ellie's 'gone'.

Should've used that idol.

And I shouldn't have put her in the heading. I jinxed an elimination yet again.

I'm a Grett stan. I definitely want to analyze her in the character tier list I'm gonna do after this. That way I can properly explain WHY I like her so much. As a villain, obviously. I think she has a lot more depth to her than shallow "I'm a mean girl".

But I'm also not mad that she got voted off. It is deserved. And let's face it, Grett was never winning anyway.

Anyway, idk if this will get any attention because of the Season 3 finale, but hey, I can continue these if you guys seem interested and entertained by them.

Hello again! (Warning, long rant again)

I'm basically making my own dc au for fun (I have too many writing projects to make another rn)

Adding onto what I created on Tom and Jensen, I wanna switch some of the characters with different ones for All Stars. This is now my au of an okay show plot

I wanna add only two characters, Drew (cause I love him and more details later), and Rosa (also explained later) and remove Miriam and Lake (I'm sorry but it's for reason and I wanna give other characters a chance to win)

The reason why I chose Drew and Rosa for All Stars is for two reasons, Fiore and common sense. For Drew, he's an underused contestant that's gone too early (honestly, glad he wasn't picked for all stars cause it kinda flopped after episode 5) but one thing that stands out about him that not a lot of the fandom bothered to notice is that Drew is a constant supporter of Fiore.

One: He probably voted for someone else (like maybe Miriam or Tom) in episode 1, and he was shocked that Fiore was voted out. Also, at the finale where Fiore was already exposed at a villain, Drew was seen at Fiore's stand despite everything, so a Drew and Fiore dynamic would be perfect because Fiore gets bullied way too much by both her teammates and the writing.

And while she does deserve some of the anger they feel towards her, you have to remember that she's just a 6-8 year old (No, I'm not excusing her actions they were bad, but there's a reason why she's this way. Monsters aren't born, they're made), so having someone who seen her at her worst and yet still cares about her would probably make Fiore realize that she's not a heartless monster like what her mom said, she's capable of love like everyone else.

Rosa is also picked for a similar reason, like Drew, while Rosa did watch DC season 1 and saw how Fiore was acting like a jerk she never really liked her first but later into watching the other half of the season she saw a bit of her daughter in Fiore if certain things happened. So when she joined All Stars, she saw the chance to help the self-proclaimed 'monster' of the Disventure Camp.

Let me tell you, if someone has been told by a bunch that they're the worst and many hateful words at a young age, gains a support system and teaches them how to truly love with time it would do wonders.

(Also, I want Rosa to adopt Fiore after the show is over. (Dis)respectfully, I don't trust Alec around kids based on the few mentions about his treatment towards his own kid)

Now, for Tom, his spy background is what made me like him back in the first season 'cuase I'm a sucker for anything spy-related. But like with any cool plotline, ONC fumbled his background just for what? Petty drama and a relationship that probably wouldn't be the best in reality.

Maybe he gets trauma from getting tortured by the enemy after being left behind on a dangerous mission by his teammates and friends he trusted (make Tom fucked up looking like the Creature from Frankenstein) and scars similar to the Phantom's eye scar and have half of his mouth exposed (just have the right side be messed up 👍🏽) Make him a recluse that learns to accept help from others along with trauma bonding with Jake (trust issues gang fr)

For the last part, Jensen. The mystery man himself: Why is he working on a reality TV show where his face could be revealed with the FBI? What did he do for the police and FBI hunting him down, and what does he gain during his stay at Disventure Camp?

Now, let's imagine this: Jensen used to be a part of this huge crime ring that he, originally named Vladimir, ruled with an iron fist. But someone snitched on the gang, and the police took down most of the gang members except Vladimir. Now, with nothing but posters asking people to look out for him, Vladimir needed to get back on top, so when he saw a sheet asking for help on a new reality show out in the middle of no where Vladimir took the job.

He changed his looks (his hair was black, but he dyed it gray to look older, covered the tattoo on his neck and blinded his left eye), and gained a new (fake) ID and changed his name to Jensen. After being hired by Derek and Trevor, he started his plan to restart his empire by selling the animal corpses he kills by the order of Derek and Trevor (He may have killed some interns and framed it as bear attacks)

When season 1 started and Tom joined (He was forced to take the job after the trouble with his teammates betraying him and his boss on their last straw at Tom), Jensen sensed something odd about him. Sneaking a peek at his bags while the players are at the challenge, Jensen finds out that Tom's a spy looking for him, so he creates a plan to make sure Tom will never catch him.
