RPG Character Development Questions!

Trying my hand at making one of these, specifically aimed towards D&D characters but it should also work for other TTRPGs and video games like Dragon Age.

👀: Describe their physical appearance in as much detail as possible. Facial features, colors, height, build, etc. 👄: How do they talk? What's their vocabulary like? What does their voice sound like? Any accent, verbal tics, etc? 👃: Do they smell like anything in particular? Why do they smell like that? 🏷️: What is their full name? Do any of their names have any special meaning? How did you come up with them? 🌳: What physical traits did they inherit from their biological parents? Do they look more like one parent than the other? ♦️: Are there any motifs you associate with them? What do those motifs represent thematically? 🎨: What is their color scheme? Or at least colors you associate them with? 🔮: If they were to feature in the art of a tarot card, which one would it be and why? 💭: What was the original concept for your OC? Has it changed at all since then? 📺: Is your OC inspired at all by characters from other media? Which one(s) and what traits do they have in common? 🛡️: How does their class inform their characterization? 😬: Did they ever make a major decision in their past that they regret? How are they handling it now? 🙏: What are their feelings on religion? If they are religious, what do they practice? How much of an impact does it have on their daily life? 🎓: What was their education like? Do they have any favorite subjects? What is their preferred learning style? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: What is their family like? Are there any family members that are particularly influential and/or important to them (whether in a positive or negative sense)? 🛝: Do they have any childhood friends? If so, are they still in touch with them? What is their relationship like now (or why did it end)? 🧸: What was their favorite childhood toy and why? 🚸: Would they consider their childhood to have been a happy one? Why or why not? Does their perception of that differ from yours as their player? 🌹: Are they experienced romantically? How many romantic partners have they had? Ok whatever ill ask since no one has been brave enough how does Seamus behave during heat.

Even though he’s technically a ram, his heat behavior more closely aligns with that of a ewe.

If he has a partner, he’ll nudge closer to them and be a lot more touchy. He’ll rub his head or neck against them. Sometimes he’ll even ‘paw’ at them without realizing. He also develops a random interest in yoga during these times. He is not a jealous person normally, but during heats he becomes more defensive to people he views as ‘threats’.

If he doesn’t have a partner and the heat hits.. most of these behaviors get taken out on a pillow or similar item.

Headcanons:

- She has Erb's palsy, and whilst it's not required her arm feels more secured in the sling

- The best arm-wrestler in Brooklyn. She exercises her usable arm a lot, and more than makes up for her weakened one

- Myron's adoptive sister, originally from Queens. It took the other girls a while to trust her due to their intense rivalry with the other borough

- Good friends with Crutchie, she helped him with exercises that helped his own weakened arm

Kangaroo seems like the sort of guy that would take advantage of any bad days Kat had, not to good, but to make her more dependant on him. If she had a bad day at work he'd act all sweet and caring but would sneakily encourage behaviors that would worsen her mental health like isolating herself from the world more, staying more at home, letting him to things instead, he likes the feeling of control, of power. It satisfies the itch he has, his urges that he has to control every time his beloved girlfriend does something that attracts his sadistic side a bit too much. That's why i asked if he'd purposely make her mad too ^_^ But this is just my personal interpretation of Kangaroo so :p

Kat will be complaining about how long her classes are or how frustrating the material or teacher is. Her head in his lap. His response is simply, “Then just ditch. If you’re gonna bitch about it so much, don’t go. Maybe a day off will shut up your complaining” There’s the same smirk.

She sits up, her hands nervously on her neck. “But I skipped a day like a week ago I can’t-“ She’s cut off by his hands on her middle pulling her back against him. “Yes you can. Just stay home. You’re smart enough to do all yer work here yourself luv” He tipped up her chin with a light tap.

When she eventually sighs and concedes, her head lowering to rest on his chest, (when she can’t see his face anymore) that’s when his grin turns more.. sinister.

I hope you love a piece of art so much it changes you as a person, and that you never are the same ever again because of it. That it shatters your world into a million pieces just to glue them back together with gold and paints everything you care about in colors you didn't even know existed. I hope it kills an alternative timeline version of you and turns this you into something you never would have been otherwise. And gives you answers to a question you never even asked. Headcanons:

- His first name is Roger. He doesn't like it, at all

- Spot's closest friend and confidant, having known each other before becoming newsies. Spot wanted to make York his second-in-command, but York advised against it so it didn't look like he was being picked just for being Spot's friend

- He makes up new stories every time someone asks about his eye, similar to Kid Blink. Some of the older newsies know what happened, but Spot is the only one he can properly confide in about how it affected him (and Blink. He gets it)

- Crutchie's half-brother from the same father. Neither knows they're related, but York's always felt something of a connection with the other boy

What does Séamus do while Fox is away?

He mostly sticks to his own space. He has permission to wander around he just doesn’t.. want to. He has all the entertainment and “nutrition” in his own room. Most of the time is spent gaming or on the internet. (*cough* scrolling pictures of hairless cats *cough*)

Headcanons:

- Oscar was born prematurely by nearly a month. He's still a little shorter than even some of the younger boys

- Morris doesn't usually like talking, leaving it to Oscar. He finds small talk pointless

- Both are terrible at writing headlines. Ranges from spelling errors to misjudging how much space they've got, even just completely forgetting what they're supposed to write

- Oscar hates loud sounds, especially sudden ones. He's good at keeping his expression neutral or just annoyed, but loud noises tend to make him flinch

- Morris would rather take an hour longer walking to his destination than get on a trolley. He's had a few near run-ins with their pa and doesn't want to chance it again

- When they were abandoned Morris was sent to live with Wiesel, but Oscar was sent to the Refuge. Morris had been in too a few times, but Snyder always kept them separated until Oscar was released

Headcanons:

- Extremely open-minded and looks at every possibility. Her nickname came from her tendency to "look at the full scope of a situation"

- Looks after a baby boy. She doesn't say if he's biologically hers or if she took him in, and the others don't ask

- The strongest girl in Spot's gang. She wins a lot of the arm-wrestling contests, and doesn't go easy on the boys during friendly wrestling matches

- Doesn't approve of gambling. She doesn't say anything vocally, but gives Silent Looks of Judgement
