I’m spending today on my couch catching up on art and feeling insanely grateful 💖 I didn’t know if anyone would want to commission me when I opened comms in October. But to have a steady stream of work and even returning clients has made me about burst with gratitude!

What is OCkiss? It’s a week long event in which artists, writers and other creators produce content about OCs kissing.

Who can participate in OCkiss? Do you have an OC? Do you want to participate in OCkiss? Congrats, you’re in! Create something and upload it during the event with the tag #ockiss25

My OC doesn’t have a significant other, can I still participate? Of course! OCkiss is not restricted to romantic kisses - they can be friendly, they can be familiar, they can just be kissing their pet!

Can I use other people’s OCs? If they have stated that their OCs are up for grabs for this event, of course! If you’re not sure, please, please always ask the OC’s owner first.

I’m a bit lost and don’t know what to create! You can ask other people for prompts, make your own, or follow the official #ockiss25 prompt list down below!

Posting "Treat" Gifts to the Love in Faerun Gift Exchange

Here is a step by step guide on how to post "treats" or extra gifts that you want to make.

You can make treats for anyone who is participating in the exchange, just check the requests and see if anything captures your interest.

The major difference between treats and your regular gift is that there is no "due date" or minimum word count required. Feel free to write and submit treats to your heart's content, as many as you'd like!

Choosing a Request:

When you are looking to see what extra gifts you'd like to make, browse the requests page in the collection. We have quite a few people participating in this exchange so there are a lot of requests.

If you find one that interests you, please check the Assignment Tracker to see if they've been claimed for a treat yet. I'm trying to keep this as fair as possible since we have so many participants. If someone was claimed for a treat, please try to find a different person to gift something to. I'd hate for one person to get five treats while someone else gets none.

Once you've found a person you'd like to treat, write 'claimed' in the treat box. Once you've posted the treat, please mark the treat box with an 'x'.

Submitting Treats to the Collection:

Step 1: Open the Collection Page. When you open it, it should look like this:

Make sure you are submitting to the correct Collection. It's the Love in Faerun: A BG3 Valentine's Gift Exchange.

Step 2: Click on the “Post to Collection” in the top corner:

It’ll bring you to the normal page for posting a fic/art.

Step 3: Fill out the form like you would usually do. Adding the fic/art, tags, title, summary, etc. to it but before you post, please double check that you are posting to the correct collection and tag your giftee! You won’t have the open assignment sections (so unless the gift is general for the entire group, please tag the person you want to gift to). Please make sure the 'baldursgate3loveinfaerunexchange' is the collection you are posting to and add the giftee or giftees to the proper section.

Once everything is completed, hit submit and you're all set! If you need to edit it or add to the work at all, you can find the work in the Love in Faerun Collection (as long as I've approved it) or in your "Works in Collections" on your Dashboard.

Note: You are not required to create treats, but it's always appreciated!

hot artists don't gatekeep

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

I have completed them 💖🎉✨ I hated my first round of this and it had me dragging my feet, so I bit the bullet, went back in and reworked everyone and I'm so much happier (they were so much quicker too)!
