The Princess's preset to a stun-still is overridden when she sees Spirit āøŗ behind a glass paneling, fitting to the natural grooves of their underworld landscape, it's seamless, it's a cage. She goes for the door of it, a closed mouth. Pushing past Luras with a shove unlike her. Luras clips her at the inner elbow. Yanking her, hitting flash across the chest, until her knees give out, and she's on the floor.
And he grins. All toothy. All boyish. All-knowing.
"Do you think I'm merciful?" His cheek's turned, in the direction of the little mus he's been poking at for awhile now. He's addressing her. He's addressing the cosmo's themselves. Like he's got the right.
Is he not merciful when he snuffs between two fingers; when a candle no longer is a candle. When light touches not. When it's just waxy pulp in a gilding meta.

Luras' last words die with him; he's a tongue drag of empty promises and dead sentences. There's no one in this room left to want them. The few here flicked off at his display. And the ones that marked him a God beloved will wait forever on his shorelines.
Drown.
A princess pales at the sight of death. Her green gets lost with how downcast her eyes have become. This is not mourning. But there's mourning in herself in her relief. Guilt yet to be unwritten out of her, guilt that she chokes on.
Drown, again.
She floats somehow.
What else shall be unwritten?
She'll never look at Luras again. He'll ink bloat the back of her head until he doesn't ( she hopes, she hopes ). Her gaze goes back to a murine boy.
She bides her turn.
And even though she wants to, she does not speak.
Titles are malleable. The prince doesn't know that yet. He's never been told. But his name will go like runny eggs down the trail of his sister's line, because nowāthenāsoonāit ends with her. Soon Luras will mix with his ancesterly drool.
Paul Atreides. Muad'Dib. Kwisatz Haderach. Whatever the name, the skins of his past are melting ocean melancholy. They're urns for the Eye that looks down on Luras and his forefathers all.
He's homesick see-sawing in the boat of his intestines. Father knows he'd get out if he could.
Paul cements himself up to the wrist instead. His knife hand sores again, washing up beached knuckles the color of Luras' insides.
His boy cupid's bow is mean. What he says to Luras, too high above to kneel, is for his own birthplace, his navel, alone. It's before he umbilical-pulls. It's quieter than his sands.

I dunno if this would be considered angst, but I have. A Thoughtā¢ļø
HCY verse sometime down the road where Charlie is the equivalent of like. Four or five, maybe. And she either stumbles across the original surrogacy contract between Lucifer and Queen!Reader (because we all know Lucifer has no concept of filing things properly), or she overhears her parents being cute and stupid and talking about Reader being under contract. (Something like, āwe could have another one, no contract needed this time, honey!ā Or, āhey now, my contract only says one baby, you gotta romance another one out of me, you rosy-cheeked nerd~ā You know, just some cute, cheesy banter.)
But baby Charlie is, in fact, Baby, and doesnāt know what any of this means - all she gleans is that Mommy is under contract from Daddy. Does this mean Mommy didnāt want to have a baby with Daddy? Do her parents not love each other? Surely they do, theyāre always all over each other, but what if????
And if thatās the case, do they not love her?
(And maybe her awesomest best friend Via once let slip that sheās something called a āprecautionary heir,ā whatever that means. So does that mean Charlie is, too?)
Cue tiny baby breakdown that Luci and Queenie have to navigate verrrryyyyyy carefully so they donāt accidentally give their precious daughter some kind of a complex.
(The queen is buying her husband an enchanted, baby-proof file cabinet and so help her stars, heād better use it.)
This for sure counts as angst!!! Baby Charlie having a little existential crisis about her parents possibly only having her out of obligation and not love?!? Children shouldnāt have to deal with that!
I can see both scenarios in different ways. If Charlie finds the contract and tries to read it, sheās not going to get a lot of info on her own, only being able to tell that it has to do with her mom and dad making a deal. I could see her bringing it to the breakfast table and asking about it, while Lucifer and the Queen are shocked and fumbling for the right words.
If Charlie overhears something it might be even worse š
maybe sheāll keep it to herself and worry over it until she becomes paralyzed with anxiety and her parents have to figure out whatās wrong while becoming increasingly worried themselves š„ŗ

so, uh, iām apparently really really bad at drabbles? i swear i tried to make this short and that justā¦didnāt happen.
this is more like a mini-fic. aos-verse, no content warnings, just a lot of feels and pining. this song screams pining spirk! thank you for sending it š
mini-fic thatās supposed to be a drabble under the cut:
James T. Kirk is not a man to be trapped or held.
The Enterpriseās captain is, admittedly, kidnapped and taken hostage more times than the average Starfleet captain, but to remain a captive? Never.
There are many things Spock has learned about Kirk in the two years theyāve served together on the Enterprise - that he prefers his coffee black and his whiskey neat, that he remembers the name of every member of his crew and (conveniently) forgets regulations, that he celebrates successes and mourns the loss of life. But it is this aspect of Kirkās personality that intrigues Spock the most:
James T. Kirk refuses to be caught.
The origins of that drive are not a mystery to Spock. The captainās personnel file is both heavily redacted and does not account for large spans of time, but it is the captain himself who fills in the blank spaces. Spock comes to learn about the abuse and neglect over late nights spent on reports when a mission goes bad. He picks up the threads of trauma in unfinished sentences when they sit with a chessboard between them. He weaves together the narrative through Kirkās insistence on always carrying rations, around the penchant for self-sacrifice, and in Kirkās flinch when Winona Kirk comms her son.
This knowledge is, admittedly, becoming a problem for Spock.
Not a problem in the sense that it is his responsibility to see to the welfare and safety of a captain who values others more than himself. No, Spock embraces that responsibility and treasures the trust Kirk holds in him. He has found a new equilibrium at Kirkās side, a renewed drive. A shared purpose.
The problem arises in Kirkās hand circled around Spockās wrist or the brush of their shoulders as they walk down the Enterpriseās corridors in deep discussion. The problem sparks at the edges of Spockās psionic field, Kirkās mind reaching for his. There is a a compatibility between them, one that has rooted itself at the center of Spockās mind and refuses to be denied - their potential for a bond growing every day, tying them together in a way that would be irreversible. A permanent bond Kirk would not want.
Therefore, on this, Spock will never act. He knows all too well that James T. Kirk will belong to no one but himself.
āThat went much better than I couldāve expected,ā Kirk says. His hair is mussed from running his fingers through it, his dress uniform unclasped at the top, revealing a sliver of skin turned silver in the moonlight. Kirk presses his shoulder into Spockās and smiles. āYou saved my ass in there.ā
āI was not aware the Zeppelian heir to the throne had threatened your gluteal muscles, Captain.ā
Kirkās laugh is automatic - loud and bright.
Spock suppresses a smile, yet allows satisfaction to ease the set of his shoulders. To coax that uninhibited sound from his captain is an honor greater than their success with the newest Federation members tonight.
It is not uncomfortable once Kirkās laughter fades into the nighttime air and silence falls between them again. Theyāre seated on rocks next to the lake at the center of the capital city of Zeppel. The lingering blue in the sky reminds Spock of San Francisco, but with the scattering of stars in a foreign configuration, the Enterprise a distant pinprick of light above the horizon.
The treaty ceremony concluded hours ago - moving swiftly into a celebration - and theyāre sheltered in a cove, music and laughter from the celebration a whisper carried on the breeze. A fluted crystalline glass dangles from Kirkās fingertips, long empty and never refilled.
āSeriously, though?ā Kirk says. His gaze drifts from the water to Spock. āThank you. I had no idea how to handle it when they insisted only a marriage between me and the heir would finalize the treaty. Iām used to strange requests, and Iāve done some pretty off the wall things to finalize a treaty, but that one...ā Kirk grimaces. āNot happening.ā
There are no caveats to that statement - ā... unless itās with the right personā or āmaybe later.ā It is a definitive statement of fact - Kirk will never bind himself to another.
Kaiidth.
āThen it is fortunate my research on Zeppelian culture uncovered how vital loyalty is to their social structure, and that your oath to Starfleet superseded their request.ā
āTheir cultural adherence to loyalty is, as you would say, fascinating. It seems incredibly inflexible, though. Do you find it logical?ā
āIn a way,ā Spock says. āHonor, respect, and honesty are at the core of their daily existence. While those traits may not lead to wholly logical actions, they provide a shared moral foundation. That is eminently logical.ā
āThey trust each other.ā
āI believe they do.ā
āDo you trust me, Spock?ā
The question is unexpected; his answer requires no thought.
āYes.ā
āAnd Iād like to think that thereās honor, respect, and honesty between us.ā
āThere is, Captain.ā
āTherefore, loyalty. You know, between us.ā
Spockās eyebrows furrow unbidden. While he and Kirk can frequently convey meaning and intentions through few words - occasionally, with merely a glance - there are other times when the leaps of Kirkās mind are too great for Spock to bridge the divide. This is one of those times.
He is aware Kirk is working up to a point, but is unclear what it could be.
āI believe so, yes.ā
āOkay.ā Kirk sets his glass aside then turns in toward Spock. His blue eyes are nearly as darkened as the sky. āSo tell me, what would you have done if Zeppelian society wasnāt built on loyalty? What if there had been no other choice but for me to either marry the heir or dive bomb the treaty?ā
Spock restrains a frown. āAs that is not what came to pass, I see no need for such conjecture.ā
āWell, I do. I mean, you swore an oath too - to Starfleet, to our ship, and our crew. And, knowing my luck, itās possible a scenario like this will come up again. So. What would you have done?ā
He hears the question Kirk is actually asking - where would his loyalties have lied?
It should be an easy answer.
There are regulations and protocols. A formalized system by which the first officer maintains their duty to the mission, ship, and crew at all times. It is a formalized system that Kirk eschews on a regular basis, but never without a valid reason - this much Spock knows about his captain too. Therefore, if Spock had chosen to bypass regulation and take alternative action, Kirk likely would have approved. It is not solely he who trusts Kirk, Kirkās trust in him runs just as deep.
Beyond regulation and the path he did choose, however, his first thought when the Zeppelian heir proposed to Kirk was to take his captain and run. It was not logical, not protocol. It was instinct. Raw, protective (possessive?) instinct.
If the Zeppelian culture was not built on loyalty and Kirk had been forced to choose between marriage and nullifying the treaty, Spock would have whisked him off the planet without a look back.
He holds Kirk gaze and considers his words carefully. āA treaty can be renegotiated. The captain, howeverā¦ He cannot be replaced. A starship runs on loyalty to one man.ā
āA starship, Spock? Or you?ā
As Kirkās first officer - effectively just as much a tool and a resource for his captain as the ship - he wants to argue they are one and the same. But they are not. Of course they are not.
Spock opens his mouth. Closes it.
He does not know how to answer.
Kirk holds the silence, holds Spock in a piercing gaze, then arches a rounded brow. āIām going to give you a minute to think about that one.ā
Kirk stands then and steps toward the lake. There is no possibility of Spock restraining his shock when Kirk unfastens his dress tunic and summarily drops it onto the beach. Even less of a chance when Kirk bends down to unzip his boots, kicks them off, then removes his socks. At Kirkās hands on his waistband, working the clasp open, Spock can be nothing but sure what his captain intends to do next.
He inhales sharply and has just enough oxygen in his lungs to say, āCaptain -ā
āItās Jim. Iām about to go skinny-dipping, so weāre definitely off-duty.ā
āJim,ā Spock accedes. āAre you certain this is wise?ā
The light of two Zeppelian moons shines down on the tilt of Kirkās lips, highlights the gleam in Kirkās eyes.
āWise? Probably not. Necessary? Oh yeah.ā
Kirk sheds his dress pants as well, then his regulation underwear, and Spock should look away. He really should.
It is not the first time he has seen Kirk naked. However, it is the first time outside of averted eyes during decontamination or a stolen glimpse crossing to the showers after sparring. It is the first time Kirk - Jim - has stood before him unabashedly, as if he is inviting Spock to look.
So Spock does, his heartbeat racing out of his control.
The āminuteā Jim gave him to think on that question has long passed, and yet Spock remains silent.
It is you, he thinks.
He is driven by loyalty to one man - this man - and he would sacrifice himself without hesitation to ensure the universe did not lose Jimās inherent light.
Jim brandishes a smile then takes to the water, immersing himself, his intrusion spreading ripples that fracture the stars mirrored on the surface. Spock inhales sharply and doesnāt follow.
He will not chase what does not want to be caught.
Jim reappears off the shore, slicking the water out of his hair. Silver moonlight hangs on his eyelashes as he looks up to the sky.
āYou know, Spockā¦ Loyalty, honor, respect, trustā¦ I donāt doubt for a second that we have that in spades. But honesty? It would be a hell of a lot easier for us to be honest with each other if you could be honest with yourself.ā
Spock tips his head. āI do not understand.ā
āIām right here,ā Jim says. It sounds like a plea. āAnd Iām not going anywhere. You donāt have to run from me.ā
A spark flares at the center of his mind. Spock shivers, smothers the light.
āJim,ā he says, his voice laced with a hesitancy he did not know was there. āIt is not I who is running.ā
āYou sure about that?ā
No.
Quite suddenly, he is not.
What would he have done? Where do his loyalties lie? He has swept those answers to the side, taken a step away when their shoulders brushed, retreated from the warmth of a hand around his wrist, and shielded himself against that light at the center of his mind.
All of it because of fear.
He has left so he is not left behind, but why would he behave so with this man of all men?
The lake spreads out behind Jim like a cape of stars, a universe of pain that he carries on his back, and yet heās always held Spock close.
Jim has earned loyalty, honor, respect, and trust.
He deserves honesty.
With Jim, there is nothing to fear.
Spock sheds his dress tunic, his boots and socks. He leaves all else in a pile next Jimās discarded clothes and enters the water.
James T. Kirk is not a man to be trapped or held. He is a man to be treasured, protected. Loved.
Jim slips his arm around Spockās waist and Spock stops running.

Luras is more nonplussed by his sister's presence. He half knows her, half guesses through her in the swallow way he thinks women think.
But he rights in this āøŗ there's flight behind her glaze, she has a bag packed, hitches her breath on goodbyes unsaid, sheās either waiting to be healed up enough or kicked at the ankles to walk despite the lack.
She lingers near the mouth of the door for a reason.
āWeāre more the same than dis-alike.ā His speak is as sweet as Lead. Twice as deadly. Heād sooner fall on his own birthed blade than legitimately tuck under a mouseās tail. Behind the future he says, his alliance will end with his stomach's acid.
He'll ingest Paul to a pulp. He will be better than his father in this way. Starvation has him waiting on expedite.
His gaze stops the divide and settles on the so-called boyGod.

Four days were enough for tending to his not-wife and Salusa Secundusās upset both and little else.

Stripped and awash, Paulās only a body touched in the way of the Old Lakesā baptism. Heās birth-fresh. His palms are the darkest points on him. He hasnāt seen his toes, or this much drench, in months.
Gurney is in the process of starving Luras and keeping the rest fed to a grazing; enough for sober thought. Enough to keep their hair but suck off the fat. Hunger increases receptiveness to all manner of knowledge and oneās lack thereof; to, most importantly, long-term memory.
It makes honest mouths of liars. Before Paul reaches into the berry bowl of Lurasās skull, it should soften.

Anton Cel Tradat and his wife, Elena, were a happily married couple but in a world that Elena hadn't felt was entirely safe enough to raise a child in. Despite Anton wanting one, an heir, she didn't want to bring them into such a criminal lifestyle. So when she found out she was pregnant? She hid it as best she could, changing her style to hide the belly before towards the end asking to visit family when it became too much to hide. Her husband loved her, trusted her, so he saw no problem with her visiting family. The extended period of time felt off but she hadn't seen them for a bit and he was rather busy. In the end it was safer for her in the moment. Elena hadn't gone far, she stayed in Bucharest where she gave birth to a baby boy. Only letting herself look at the boy and not spend much time with him. When both were well enough again, she left him on the steps of an orphanage with a note pinned that his name was to be Mattias Andrei. Whatever family he'd go to would be his new last name.
Anton had no idea, welcoming his wife home with love when he saw her again. However, it wouldn't last. Elena passed away three years later and he never wished to marry again. No one was going to compare to her, so what was the point? He was almost accepting the family would pass to his second and their son, Cezar, upon his death. It seemed that was what fate intended until a day on the street, a run in with an orphan, caught his attention. Nine years after his wife passed, twelve since she had given birth, his eyes landed upon a boy who had tried to rob him. The courage, bravery, and skill made him admire the boy. And seeing as he had no family he took him in, raised him as his own but both under the assumption he was adopted. There was no shared blood but that didn't matter. Andrei looked to him as a father and Anton looked to him as a son, that's what it was and all it needed to be. And when Anton started to lose his mind ten years later? Andrei did what a son should, to some, and he handled it. He killed Anton, feeling like a monster more than anything. A guilt he carries from that moment on, never fading and without needing the rumors to remind him.
It isn't until five or so years later, by circumstance or his action (plot dependent), Andrei discovers the truth. The file showing him their DNA match, the file saying his father was Anton Cel Tradat the entire time. The guilt he felt from killing a man he saw as his father after taking him in was immense but now knowing this? It grew tenfold. He was more monstrous than he thought. It causes him to spiral, he drinks to feel nothing because that was better than what he was feeling. He can barely sleep, he spends his time either working or in the gym. His knuckles are raw from the heavy bag. He looks tired, there's no care for his wellbeing in a sense at this point. Andrei is reckless in his work, pissing off a family or two. It causes one to take action, making a fake meeting for the large Romanian to attend only to be jumped in numbers as they knew his skill. He's beaten down before being shot, his men finding him in time to be taken home. There he has to be resuscitated before he can begin to make a recovery and maybe accept and talk about what he's done for the first time.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā charlie morningstar. the daughter of lucifer && lilith, princess of hell, heir to the throne. much is known about her to the public, under severe criticism from the denizens of hell since the moment she was born. her mother && father both had high hopes for her && she took on both of their dreams && ideals.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā charlie chose to start the happy hazbin hotel to try her hand at the idea of redemption for sinners, a way for them to get to heaven. this is meant to be a way to handle hell's overpopulation, which poses a problem for all, including heaven. backed by alastor, the radio demon himself, && with access to her father's contacts, she found herself a single patron && a few staff. with the exterminations being her primary concern, she is confident she will figure this out.
she has to.
charlie's inspiration for the hotel likely comes from lilith herself && her love of her people doubly so. whereas lucifer never seemed to like hell or the people in it, lilith loved every inch of the realm && her denizens. that ideal is ingrained in charlie, who would do anything to help her people suffer less. there is a lot of her powers that she has never explored but may have to now && with her father at her side now, she is much more sure of herself. at least as far as all of that goes.

The Apolloverse
Welcome to my blog! Here you'll find all my OCs for fandom and not fandom-related content. To start out, I'm going to a couple things clear about myself:
Currently this is the only blog I am using---While you may see my original account that has now been based around Last Legacy, and another side account I have, I am only cohesively using this one.
You can refer to me as Apollo (though this name is just a place holder for this account because I am no longer comfortable with being called Ayla) and I use they/them. Also I know when I first starting posting my account was called "themajorarcanalesbian" but I would no longer refer to myself as a lesbian, just queer for now.
While there may be some mature content on this blog, it won't be a lot because I feel my writing and drawing skills cannot adequately portray that sort of stuff without sounding, well, cringe. That being said, be aware that I will likely reblog mature content from my mutuals as they freely post that content, and I will always want to share it.
Last but not least, the only character I have that is associated with The Arcana universe is Astarium, who only remains in that fandom because the storyline set up for the game adds to their character in a way I feel I might not be able to at the moment (cough cough, writers block) The rest of my characters remain in what you will see tagged as #theapolloverse as their universe doesn't have a set name!
And now, to get to my many characters (fyi, I will edit this post when I do, but some of their intro posts are outdated and need refreshing!)

Astarium The Magician | They/Them - Queer | Asta, remaining in the arcana verse, takes the storyline of the apprentice, only a few things differentiating. They grow up in Prakra and run away after their father passes because they fear their mother will abandon them. At first, they are put on stage to be ogled at, from age 12 to 15, before they eventually make their way to Vesuvia. They meet Asra, stay with him for a long while, and when the plague hits, they fear death when it becomes clear that their healing magic, just like with their father, cannot heal the people of Vesuvia. Asra assumes their dead for many months, but Asta only dies the day before Asra revives them, so they remain with their memories of the plague, and seeing Asra with Julian. This is important because it has an effect on each storyline no matter what love interest you choose, because Astarium never actually wanted to be brought back to life! Asta's information, and any HCs or drawings, will be under the tag #astariumthemagician or #astathemagician

Juno, The Mad King | He/Him - Bisexual | Juno Ara Malik, a bastard child who, yes, is his father's son, but his mother was not of royal decent. Juno's father is not completely to blame for this, as his wife, The Queen, passed away of an illness, and he had to resort to sleeping with a servant to produce an heir, otherwise his line would've been endangered. Juno will not take after his father though, his cousin Amaria will; ergo why Juno's father had him take over a small Provence at the age of 14. He felt bad that his son would not be able to take after his footsteps. Juno was raised by his teachers, servants, and guards when he was sailed across the sea to Roya. His grandmother took no interest in him besides hating him, she would regular burn his hands and back, and he remains to have a scar on his face from her dagger. In fact, her treatment only resulted in Juno growing to be spiteful and cruel in some ways, and at the age of 17, he decapitated her in a purple blaze. Jayda, The Golden Handed Servant | He/Him - Omnisexual | Jayda grew up similarly to Asra in a way, living off the streets with nobody to raise him, only learning from the books he stole and the lessons he was taught by strangers. Sure, the people of his city got to know him, and he even got many of them to give him free stuff, but nobody offered him a home. He remained on the streets until the age of 16, when he met Zahra, who had ran away from a forced marriage. At the age of 30, Jayda seeks out the Magician (not specifically the one in the Arcana) , who offers him one wish. Jayda wishes to be more virtuous, to be a man of the people, and the magician grants him that. Of course, working with a major arcana can have its drawbacks, so Jayda is changed into an almost completely different man. The once confident man had gained the gift of awareness, which has made him hypersensitive to every single thing he does, including his actions and physical state. The gift also helps him be more on top of his work at the palace, so it's not the worst. His third eye is for sight, to be seeing clearly and all knowing, so that he can help those around him. And his 6 limbs, which are for strength, with so many arms, surely he could help out all of Roya at once? {he can but it's utterly exhausting}. His hair turning from the beautiful chestnut to the interesting orange was a reminder from the magician to Jayda, a piece of him, so that he will never forget the gifts he was given. Zahra | She/Her - Lesbian | Zahra, originally coming from a rich background, was arranged to marry at the age of 15 by her mother. Her mother had sold her into a marriage with a much older man after learning Zahra was a trans woman, and she told her if she wanted to be one, that she could face the same struggles a woman would. After about a year of this, she runs away and meets Jayda. It's important to note that Zahra wasn't as open with Jayda as she is now, but her mother had attempted to force her to de-transition, when she could not make her, she was sold off like cattle, and when the man no longer wanted her, her cold dead stare every night haunting him, her mother DID force her to de-transition, and they gaslit her back into the closet, so ergo why she left, and why Jayda met her pre-transition. Now she rules as Juno's head advisor with his council and remains by Jayda's side. Currently, most of the info, including Zahra's intro post, is incorrect, so I will not link it. Atlas | Any/All Pronouns - Pansexual | A young mercenary working under Ruthie Sloane (oh I promise, we'll get to her) Atlas, the nephew/niece of Zahra, grew up with their mother in a small village. His father had banned any sort of magic when Atlas was young, causing quite the struggle when her mother had to use it to heal Atlas from a cold that had almost killed them. The people of the town decided to hunt her down, and unlike his mother, Atlas had lifted herself up into the air with their own magic when jumping from a cliff. That day, the day he lost his mother to the rocks below that cliff, was his birthday. Atlas ended up running to falling less of a feet into the ocean, trying to find her mother in the depths of the ocean, eventually washing back up onto the beach where they were found by Ruth. Now, they remain her side no matter what. Same as with Zahra, Atlas' intro post and most of the posts ive made surrounding them is not correct, so I will not be linking it here. Ruthie, The Midnight Mercenary | She/Her - Pansexual | Born Oxana Valentina Sloane, Ruth took the name of one of her oldest friends when they were slaughtered by the man she once used to work for. While not much is known about her, she is known for being one of the biggest threats to most pirates, and with Atlas along with her, she appears a lot more scary than she actually is. Despite being 6'4 mercenary, Ruth is actually quite kind, she's taken quite a few people in over the years, and she's never one to hesitate when it comes to feeding, or housing those in need. She is the eldest of the Sloane Siblings, and she actually left her family at quite a young age. Now, she just rides around with Atlas, always cleaning up their dirty work. Pier | He/Him - Omnisexual | The younger brother of Oxana, who was abandoned by her from a young age---right when he was learning his abilities--- resulting in him losing control and running away when he was 10. For the most part, heĀ can't see, or, well, its not that he canāt see, he refuses to open his eyes, because when he does, heĀ can't see people, he just sees their aura, and their thoughts, and its like a surround sound to his head. ThisĀ developed at the age of 9 and he runs away at 10 to get away from his mothers, not to scare them, but because he was afraid of hurting them by letting them know what he was going through. Where heās constantly on the move, one of hisĀ favorite friends is Asta, they met on a pirate ship back inĀ Prakra andĀ they'reĀ very nice to one another. On the note of Pirates, he does get kidnapped by a certain crew due to his relation to rue. But thatĀ I'll leave off there. MathƩo | He/They - Bisexual | As the youngest of the Sloane siblings, not much is known about MathƩo. While he remains to live with his mothers, he still lives a rather independent life. They take charge in doing all the task their siblings left behind, and they try to make life happier for their mothers. But, he longs so be selfish, and adventurous, and he feels lonely without his siblings, creating an odd family dynamic when he meets up with them in the future. There's humor in how his sister would ruin herself with a Harkonnen. But his laugh ends there. He would have gladdened sevenfold if it were his choice to avow her to someone like Feyd-Rautha.

Plucks from his pilcher, a sword as big as his birthed ego. Milky, no shine. Balarilian material-made, harder than diamonds. A weapon afforded to only higher births, but not his best. He doesn't think he'll need it as he sizes up Feyd's insipid figure.

Instead of his premeditated ambush, he honors his opponent with an audience. But gives nothing more. He'll ash his body when he's through ā he will not ascend in after-lifes. The grief of his end will be perpetual for those who care ( he knows of one that does ).

Overall, I really liked this series. It has some issues without question, but I sincerely don't think it's the dumpster fire so many viewers on this site treat it as. Did it go how I expected? Not at all? Did I enjoy the heck out of it and look forward to it every Wednesday? Hell yeah!
Loki's Good Guy Personality
A big complaint many have had with it is how much Loki's demeanor has changed and how his emotional growth feels rushed or his personality is ooc. Truth is, he saw his entire future, saw what his angry, power hungry, I-work-alone persona would get him in the end, and it snapped him back to reality. He has always been shown to be quite emotional and craving attention and lacking in self assurance, it's just in the past movies he's masked it with violence and fake narcissism, and he's always been a secondary character so his perspective is rarely shown. But if you really pay attention it's obvious he isn't truly villainous; we all know that, it's largely why he has such a huge fan base.
Right after meeting Mobius, Loki got an infodump of his future, saw his parents both die, found out that free will means jack shit, and learned he's absolutely powerless in this realm. On top of that, this is 2012 Loki, fresh off of being under Thanos' control, suddenly being shown that the guy who controlled him is going to end up killing him. Frankly,, I think it all broke Loki. He was too shook up by it all and by the sheer helplessness he found himself in at the TVA that he let all his barriers down momentarily. Just long enough for him to open up to Mobius about his motivation and his lack of self confidence. And you know what I bet? Loki felt relieved after talking to Mobius. A weight was lifted, because he bore his heart to someone and wasn't rejected or laughed at or treated like a psycho. And after letting his walls down fully, Loki didn't feel the need to put all of them back up. He stayed guarded around other people, but he didn't need to pretend around Mobius. Mobius has seen under the mask, so Loki doesn't feel pressure to perform as an all knowing, all powerful God around Mobius. That freedom is life changing.
People who gravitate towards broken, pseudo-villain characters do so because we relate to their internal conflict, their mental illness, their need to fake it around everyone close to them. Their turmoil and depression and self destructive behavior are familiar and we see ourselves reflected in their actions. Now, when a person really truly let's their guard down, drops all their layers of facade, and embraces themself, they tend to change demeanor and even personality pretty drastically. It's jarring in real life, so of course when it happens to a fictional character who you usually relate to it is going to be jarring, maybe even more so because it feels like a change you yourself would never go through. I know this sounds bad and people might get at me for it, but...
I believe the issue here is that a large part of Loki's fan base doesn't want him to get better. They don't want him to move past his mental illness, to learn how to cope with anger and disappointment in healthier ways, to be happy. They like his damaged persona, they like the internal conflict. Maybe it's because they're still at that low place themself and feel like a relatable character is getting taken away from them, maybe it's because they don't understand how much being at peace with yourself can alter a person and to them it feels like he's been changed too much. To those of us mostly on the up and up from battling depression and mental illness, it's comforting to see Loki getting a chance to be genuinely happy and accepting of himself.
Sylki and Lokius
First things first, I'm not anti anything. Ship what you want, idc. Personally, I do not see the Sylki dynamic as romantic, but I get why people read it that way. I thought the series did a good job of showing unrequited love, namely Loki falling for Sylvie and Sylvie feeling zero romance towards him. This was aware of his attraction and in the end used it as a distraction so she could get the upper hand. The show played up the potential romance because we are viewing things from Loki's perspective and he's become smitten as a kitten. I do think in the long run they'll have a more sibling-like dynamic, one Loki realizes that you can feel extreme love and care for a person without it being romantic. I enjoyed how the show explored their relationship, though I do wish they hadn't had every character under the sun mention their moment on Lamentis-1 like it was some big deal to bond with someone you're about to die with.
I'm bitter towards the development of Lokius. It had a strong start in the beginning, and in ep 5 had some potential reignited, but then they had Mobius not know who Loki is at the end. I'm still hoping they're playing the long game with this ship and that it'll come to fruition partway through season 2. The chemistry is there, and Mobius knows Loki very intimately and isn't put off by his past. Loki also feels much more at ease around Mobius than he does around Sylvie. It's the comfort of a deep loving bond with Mobius verses the nervousness of a new crush that he feels for Sylvie.
I don't think Loki is quite aware of his feelings for Mobius, simply because it's based in friendship and mutual respect and isn't a hot and heavy lust. Plus, as soon as he was away from Mobius he was thrown into a near death experience with Sylvie and developed a surface crush during their heart to heart. Since Loki's still figuring out what genuine feelings are beyond anger and sadness, he sees the simplistic crush he has on Sylvie as love and the intimate bond he's been forming with Mobius as friendship. He doesn't understand his own feelings yet, but I think he'll figure it out next season. I mean, he was probably already rethinking his feelings for her after she kissed and betrayed him, mentally kicking himself for expecting her to not pull a Loki betrayal like he would've in the past.
The Time Variance Authority
I really like the concept of the TVA, the structure of it, the methods they use, the deeply fucked way they recruit employees, the cult like motto, shady Miss Minutes who is definitely playing her own long game, and the blind acceptance TVA agents have of the Time Keepers' will. It's all very well done... until your dig into the core, aka He Who Remains. They built up the idea that the Time Keepers created the TVA to prevent a multiverse war and that they created agents to enforce their will. Then the creating agents turned out to be fake, the Time Keepers were fake, I expected the reason for the TVA's existence to be fake to. It felt too simple to have it genuinely exist just to keep the multiverse in check. Why the anonymity, unless it's to keep from having agents target and prune versions of himself which.. songs like a decent solution. HWR made it sound as though the multiverse war was just a bunch of versions of himself screwing shit up, so why isn't the TVA's focus on eradicating every other variant of this guy? Sounds a lot easier and nicer than fucking with the free will of every other living being. So either Marvel made a bad call when choosing what HWR's motive was for creating the TVA, or he was lying about it all to cover up something sinister.
Overall Storyline
I'm fairly happy with the plot as a whole. There were some pacing issues and I think a few missed chances for deeper conversations between various characters. While I enjoyed the Loki variants, I honestly would've been happier seeing Tom playing most the variants (except Kid Loki and Classic Loki since they are clearly different age ranges). If there is supposed to be one sacred timeline, it seems off to me that Lokis would be allowed to vary so extremely without it causing a nexus event(an alligator, whose nexus wasn't that he's an animal who obviously can't do any magic much less command Thanos' army, but that he ate someone's cat) and not just in appearance but in life path (ie boastful Loki collected all the infinity stones but it wasn't till he had 6 that he caused a nexus event even though him gaining control of the Soul, Power, and Time stones should've each caused nexus events since on the sacred timeline he never interacts with those 3 and taking any one of them would've fucked up a lot of other timeline parts)
I love the display of Lokis raw power, and 2012 Loki coming to the realization that he's way more powerful than he ever thought. And it wasn't just Classic Loki who spent thousands of years alone honing his skills, 2012 Loki reversed time on a goddamn falling building! I also liked the small magic, the fireworks, the tablecloth blanket, Loki yanking Sylvie away from HWR with just magic.
As someone who is both bisexual and genderfluid, I would've really loved more concrete representation. The comment about there never being another female Loki hit me in the gut; it undermined the Easter egg "Sex: Fluid" on Loki's TVA file. With how big a deal Sylvie being female was made out to be throughout the season, I expected her gender to play a key role in taking down the head of the TVA, like it was foretold that only a female Loki could end it all or some shit.
I don't mind the idea of Loki finding love in a straight passing relationship. I don't even mind the selfcest all that much. It just feels so obvious to me that Sylvie is written as not having any romantic inclination towards Loki, while Mobius is clearly written as falling in love with someone he shouldn't and trying to maintain an heir of professionalism to keep from wrecking his bond with Loki. I really really hope they come through on season 2 and give Lokius the canon relationship and proper representation they deserve.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā tl;dr āĀ ( verse ) single parenthoodĀ follows alisonās main storyline up until the point in which alison and her college boyfriend, grant [ redacted ], get into a major argument. in canon, this argument is the last straw that prompts alison to leave her toxic relationship with grant for good, but in this verse, alison decides to stay with grant for many more years before finally leaving him. during the span of their entire relationship, alison and grant marry, buy a home, and have a child. due to infidelity and general strife in their marriage, however, they eventually file for a divorce, alison being the one who initiates the process. she wins sole custody of their son, remi, and grant is allowed visitation rights and pays child support.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā at seventeen, alison graduates from high school and enrolls in a local university for her undergraduate degree. shortly after starting university, alison meets grant, an older male student living on the same floor of a student housing unit as alison. grant comes from a wealthy family and is the heir to his familyās business, though he carries himself in a very crass manner and is often on the edge of being cut off from his familyās fortune due to careless and reckless behavior. the most significant interaction alison had with grant before they began dating was a conversation in which grant solicited alison for sex, implying heād do anything to get her into bed with him, even if it meant paying money. because of unexpected financial difficulties during her first semester of university, alison fell alarmingly behind in payments, and as a last resort, she asked grant for money in exchange for sex.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā to her surprise, grant agreed, but what was even more surprising to her was the fact he asked to hang out with her outside of the bedroom many times after their first sexual encounter, the heir showering her with gifts and affections in hopes of winning her over. at the end of her first semester of university, alison agreed to be grantās girlfriend.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā at eighteen, two months into her second semester of university, alison drops out of school due to financial hardship and moves into an apartment with grant. despite the unconventional way their relationship started, alison and grant seemed to have a lot of chemistry together. grant knew how to win and keep alisonās affections and stay on her good side. in short, he knew how to make her feel as though she was in love, and for a time, alison couldnāt see how things could go wrong between them. but things surely fell apart when grant began to pressure alison into letting others sleep with her under the guise of experimenting in the bedroom. in reality, grant was coercing her into sex work, and for a time, this was their life together.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā alison didnāt quite know what had suddenly brought on this new arrangement, though, she had a strong feeling it had something to do with the fact grant was temporarily cut off from his familyās fortune once more due to his poor behavior. she was supporting the two of them by doing this work, he had told her, and he promised itād only be temporary. besides, there was nothing shameful about sex work ā it was just another way to make money. she had asked grant for money in exchange for sex prior to them dating, anyway, hadnāt she? so what was the difference in taking on clients? he promised heād keep her safe; she just had to look pretty for clients.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā finding it easier to live in denial than to accept the reality of what her relationship with grant was becoming, alison remained under grantās control for the next year. while she was expected to abide by certain rules set by her partner, she still had her fair share of freedoms. she found solace in being able to decorate their home together when she was free, and during the hours in which grant had classes, she was allowed to explore the city. art remained her greatest creative outlet, and overall, grant didnāt bar her from doing what she enjoyed. so long as she continued to take on clients for the time being, he was satisfied.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā tension was building over time, however, when alison began to notice that grant was withholding more and more money from her as time went on. it was becoming increasingly more difficult for alison to access funds to purchase even the smallest of things, and she grew indignant over the fact she wasnāt allowed to touch the money she had earned. money became a common topic in their arguments, and it was during one particular fight did grant strike her, the first time he had ever done such a thing to her. stunned, alison leaves and doesnāt return for some time.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā this is where ( verse ) single parenthood diverges from canon.Ā instead of walking out of her relationship with grant entirely after this major fight, alison only separates from grant for a short time as a ābreakā before ultimately returning to him. sheās reluctant to return, but considering how grant had isolated alison from her family and friends, she had no where else to go, and the thought of being on her own scared her, especially when she had no funds to support herself.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā upon seeing alison return to him after days of radio silence, grant welcomes her back with open arms, his tone apologetic as he tried to reassure her of his feelings for her. he was aware of how delicate things were between them, and as such, he made the effort to secure her trust in him again by doing what he needed to do to gain her favor once more. sex work was no longer something alison was expected to do, and grant temporarily overcomes his greed enough to allow alison to use her share of their money. it was during this time did grant learn of her general desire to marry and start a family in the future, and this was something he kept in mind as he attempted to rekindle his family relations in order to earn back access to his familyās money. shortly before alisonās birthday, grant proposes to alison. she said yes.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā at nineteen, alison is engaged to grant, and the couple marry later the same year. shortly after, they rent their first house together, and their life as newlyweds begin. grant continued to take classes in order to finish his degree, and alison attempted to dabble in freelance art commission work in order to keep herself busy. though grantās temper proved to be a point of contention at times in addition to his unpredictable bouts of control over alison, overall, their first year of marriage goes by relatively smoothly. their second year of marriage also goes by without a hitch ā for the most part, anyway. towards the end of the their second year together as husband and wife, alison began to notice a strange shift in grantās behavior, though she doesnāt think much of it at the time. eventually, however, it became too hard to ignore.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā at twenty one, alison celebrated her birthday alone while grant attended a school trip out of town for the weekend. a few weeks later, she waits at a restaurant for an hour only to learn that grant had lost track of time while attending a project meeting for class, but he insisted that heād make it up to her somehow ā he never did. a few months later, she plans a graduation party for grant, but he doesnāt stay for long, insisting that he had promised his family heād celebrate with them on that particular day. a few weeks later, sheās home alone while grant goes on a trip with a few of his friends from his fraternity. while searching for something, she finds grantās wedding band tucked away in a drawer. the next day, she learns that grant had been seeing someone else behind her back.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā a week later, alison finds out sheās pregnant with grantās child.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā if only the circumstances were different ā she would have been overjoyed if things were different. she had always wanted to be a mother, after all, but grantās infidelity made it difficult for her to enjoy the news. quite frankly, she had expected grant to be horrified in finding out that he would be having a child with alison, but to her surprise, he seemed thrilled by the news. the timing of their pregnancy was, according to him, a sign that they were meant to start a family together. his infidelity was, according to him, a mistake he regretted, and from that point on, heād do whatever he needed to do to take care of alison and their child.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā unsure of what other option she had at the moment, she took grantās words at face value. she overlooked his infidelity in favor of prioritizing her pregnancy, but for the duration of her pregnancy, she has her suspicions that grant was still being unfaithful to her. she didnāt know to what degree, but perhaps it was better that she didnāt know.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā alison and grant eventually welcome a healthy baby boy named remi into the world, and with the added financial support of grantās family, grant and alison are able to live quite comfortably as they adjust to life as parents.Ā strife, however, was becoming more and more common with each passing day, and seeing as how alison not only was often left to care for remi on her own, bu also her feelings for grant were diminishing greatly over the course of the past year, alison made the decision to file for a divorce.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā at twenty two, alison wins sole custody of her son, remi, and grant is allowed visitation rights and is required to pay child support. alison and her son live together in an apartment, and she raises remi with the help of her brother, emile, and close friends sheās made over time.Ā
