When people say the gig economy is fucked, they may not be able to put it enough into persepctive for those outside of that sphere to understand.

My partner and I just dashed for about 2 hours. Drove through snow and high winds. Dealt with grumpy retail employees. Navigated the hell that is city-downtown driving. ALL on Black Friday, the day that's supposed to be highest-paying.

Guess how much we made.

That's it. $6/hour. McDONALD'S pays more than that. More than double, in-fact (at least in NYS).

Uber, doordash, instacart, all these businesses that tout themselves as helpful to the entrepreneurial spirit-- they're all lying to us.

They're using every old excuse in the book to not properly compensate their workers, then crack down on the organizations that could ACTUALLY help them, like unions.

Don't be fooled by propoganda.

The circumstances are and have been terrible since years ago in Palestine, but for it to get a point where people are literally creating terms called "The Death Triangle" in reference to how they are living is absolutely heartwrenching.

I cannot stress enough how urgent it is that we show support in all ways we can to these Palestinian families. They are not asking because they want to. There is literally no way they can help themselves besides relying on our aid. Praying with all my heart for Palestine, and that liberation and justice can reach them all soon.

This triangle has 3 sides, the first side is exposure to bombing and danger, the second side is forced displacement, and the third side is starvation and changing their features and shapes.

In the past three days, I was unable to blog or connect to the Internet due to the occupation bombing a number of tents next to us, which led to the killing of a large number of civilians next to us...💔

Also, we were forced to leave our place after the barbaric bombing for the sixth time (the sixth displacement). This time we moved to an apartment that is not suitable for the minimum necessities of life, as it contains neither water nor sewage nor any of the necessities of life. This is the view of my new room.😔🍉

Part of the reason that Republicans are so desperately acting like they will never lose again is because they are deeply terrified that this is their last real chance to win. The big orange dipshit came in and gutted the party of everyone who wasn't a loyalist, which left it full of nasty little gremlins who have gaping voids where charisma and human decency is supposed to go.

They still hold a lot of power, but if we stop them this year the next presidential election may not be the Most Important One Of Your Life™, that's not a guarantee or anything, but if they don't win here and now their future looks grim, this dipshit is the only guy they have left and he's extremely diminished and has his brains leaking out of his ears at this point. We can beat him into the ground.

So that's what we're gonna fucking do. We're gonna break these fucking fash. They will crash upon us and we're gonna break their fucking necks. When they come for us they will lose because they're fucking losers and we have each other's backs which is something they fundamentally are incapable of comprehending.

This is especially true when-- even if every single person on the planet did everything that's recommended to cut down on one's carbon footprint-- production lines will still dump toxic wastes into our water, corporations will still cling to using fossil fuels and bad-faith legislators will still actively reverse the effects of ecologically positive activism.

The system needs to change. Individuals are a drop in the bucket in comparison to what the rich and powerful can do. And capitalism only empowers that disparity. Money talks.

We need to continue fighting to change the status-quo. Or else the Earth will literally burn, right along with us.

Trying to keep your footprint as low as possible is a great way to self-destruct.

And I'm not saying this to people who take two hour showers during international flights while shoving red meat into their mouth. I'm saying this to my fellow activists who feel conflicted about heating their home on fossil fuels even though they don't have any other options (and struggle to afford it).

Like, we can talk about how 'consumer choice' is never going to save the planet and stuff, but more importantly: You are not a sin. Your basic needs deserve to be met. You deserve to be warm and filled with food that satisfies you and you deserve to see your friends.

We are not fighting to save 'the planet', that's a piece of rock. We want to save ecosystems and plants and animals, including people. You are part of that. Don't leave yourself out of the list of creatures that deserve to thrive.
