Turlough is not a human, I do not understand why they gave him absolutely NOTHING inhumane about his appearance (except for being ginger /j)

Yeah I know that he’s a humanoid, but still. All the other aliens have quirks or some sort of powers or inhumane appearance.

Also, I have a head canon, pretty sure others agree about Turlough having different coloured blood, I really like the thought that he has blue blood cos that’s cool!

Okay, don't laugh, but I just realized that Stede showed Ed his secret closet because he realized Ed would also 'fancy a fine fabric' and wouldn't laugh at Stede for his interests. He wanted to be able to share his interest and something he enjoys/is proud of with someone. It is something he loves but felt the need to hide and so he instantly shows the first person who shows an interest and I love that for him

Anyways! I met this really funny n pretty girl in photojournalism today! We were working on our self portrait projects and she needed some help setting up her photoshop stuff since she just came from Kazakhstan so I helped her and she came up again behind me but quietly and I didn't see her at first. I told her sorry and if she needed anything and she said no, she just liked my picture and asked if i minded her watching me work and fjskadljfdasl i have a little bit of a crush on her. we talked for the rest of the class and she found me again after school so we talked again until my mom picked me up. we both think this school's weird clique-system/aversion-to-helping-new-people is stupid and i think thats a good sign

she went on a whole rant about how the only kid from her foreign exchange group who has sat with other people was the tall korean boy the girls keep trying to flirt with, she says its been really hard especially for the central asian girls to like- meet people. we honestly got along well

anywaysss i drank pineapple kuji(150) and ate a torta de birria that i made with very little birria so it was hopefully lower cal... im guessing like 600?

Six Sentence Sunday

Roy Mustang was in the position where he remembered how to breathe again, but with each exhale, he feared that the air would catch in his throat and that he would choke for the hundredth time upon this truth.

He got a full seven hours of sleep on the night that Maes died. It was worrying not to hear anyone on the other end of the telephone, but Roy had ringed Gracia afterward, and she explained that Maes had called her only fifteen minutes beforehand with the promise that he would return home soon. She assured Roy that Maes was alright, and Roy believed her because… why wouldn’t he be? Out of all of the people on this earth, why would something bad happen to Maes?

It was only on that beautiful spring morning, at his apartment by the park, that Roy found Riza standing on his doorstep, looking like death had warmed over. When she opened her mouth, no sound came out- she was as voiceless as a corpse. The only noise, the only breath to fill the air, was the call of songbirds in the limbs of trees above. Large, brown eyes desperately searched his, attempting to find within them some way by which to do the impossible- to soften death’s blow.

Also Mary was there this time having decided to join Stede on the pirate adventure but just as friends, but when Blackbeard saw them together he was heartbroken and petty until Mary had a heart-to-heart with him, in the middle of which she told fictional Izzy Hands to mind his own fucking business when he tried to encroach on the conversation

Back when I was majoring in elementary education we had to do these presentations of lesson plans in which people went up and gave a lesson as if the rest of us were the elementary students they were teaching. This one guy's lesson was about the phases of the moon, and he very confidently did his whole lesson... explaining to us that the moon's phases were caused by the shadow of the Earth on the moon. At some point I finally couldn't take it anymore and raised my hand to explain that that's not how the phases of the moon were caused. I forget the presenter's response to this, but good number of people in the class got annoyed with me for "ruining it."

I used to be a grader and an occasional substitute prof for an introductory astronomy lab. That means that the majority of the people in this lab are only taking it because it’s a requirement and about half of them think it’s an astrology class.

I was grading midterms and this one girl. She was so nice and I think she was a business major. Fuck. The question on the midterm was to draw a diagram of the solar system and this poor girl. This fucking girl had drawn a Mars-centric solar system. As in every planet and the sun were orbiting Mars. I now actually have a custom Cards Againsy Humanity card I got at a con that says “A Mars-centric solar system”

I had a boy argue with me that there was liquid water on the moon (this was around when they had found liquid water on Mars in ~2015) and he wouldn’t believe me that he likely meant Mars and not the moon. After I marked his answer to the relevant lab question wrong, he took it to the department head who had promptly laughed him out of the office.

And there was another boy who, during a lab in our observatory where we would look at certain things in the sky, asked where the sun was. At 10pm in November. After some questioning it was revealed that he thought the moon and the sun were the same thing.
