New in the Spiral House!
As-If: Punk Magic and the Art of Self-Invention
Up the Magic Punx!
Er...
Up The Punk Magic?
Ya, that makes more sense.
Another thoughtful zine from the folks at Fiddler's Green Peculiar Parish covers the transformative power of the "As-If" technique in "As-If: Punk Magic and the Art of Self-Invention." This essay by Clint Marsh, originally featured in Fiddler's Green Peculiar Parish Magazine, explores how this powerful approach can help you overcome creative blocks and manifest your dreams.
Through the spirit of DIY in creating its own culture from music to print and other forms of art, chart your path and cast the spell of As-If" until it shows you the way!
16 pages, cardstock cover and with the Fiddler's Green signature copper embossed cover.

Note
ok off the top of your head, your three most developed OCs:
what's their favorite color
are there any movies that would make them cry
how do they handle scary things/horror?
Thanks for the ask, and it's nice to meet you!
Okay, so my three most developed OCs in What You Cast Out are Tracey, Sarah, and Reliquus.
Favorite color Tracey: It's black. She's actually pretty uncaring about color, but black is a neutral color that matches everything and freaks people out, so she gravitates towards that. Sarah: Sarah loves greens and blues, with a hint of purple or pink sometimes to spice things up. She's not unaware of the irony in her liking green, but will roll her eyes and get annoyed if anyone brings it up. Reliquus: The Reliquus... if they have a favorite color, it's probably something outside of the human visible range and doesn't have a name in any human language.
Movies that would make them cry Tracey: Don't tell anyone, and she will deny everything if you ask her about it, but she cried her eyes out at The Shape of Water. Sarah: Just about any sappy romance will do it, bonus points if it's a queer one. At the point in the story we meet her, any movie involving sibling relationships might also trigger a fit as well. Reliquus: I legit cannot even imagine the Reliquus watching a movie at all. Fiddler on the Roof, maybe?
Horror and Scary Things Tracey: Tracey has already survived things that would land most people in a hospital, and come out the other side... okay, maybe "okay" isn't the word, lol. She's quite good at compartmentalizing the fear, most of the time, but she does have limits. Mostly, she prioritizes getting to safety over the indulgence of panicking. Sarah: If Sarah has someone to protect, such as her niece and nephew nearby, she will go full Mama Bear and focus on protecting them at all costs. If it's just her, she's a lot more normal about it: screaming, having to fight back panic, but probably still surviving it. Reliquus: The Reliquus is the horror, thank you very much. And they're slightly offended at the implication that they're not the scariest thing in the room right now. You might want to start running.

What You Cast Out: A Tale From Little Egypt is a dark fantasy novel set in Southern Illinois. It follows a rookie police officer and an autistic punker as they investigate a murder, leading them back to the place the punker ran away from as a child and the things she told herself she must have imagined.
Monsters will attack. Elves will get high. And while all hell breaks loose, the locals will continue to complain that nothing interesting ever happens in Southern Illinois.
--------------------------------------------------------
The novel is published in serial zine format on my Patreon and Ko-Fi pages. The first two chapters are already out for my supporters, ready to be downloaded and printed at your convenience!
All of the art on the chapter covers is made by me, a combination of watercolor, collage, and just a smidge of digital manipulation for the covers themselves. NO AI WAS OR EVER WILL BE USED IN THE PRODUCTION OF MY ZINES.
If you like this post, I'd love it if you shared it so more folks could see it. The more people share this post, the more people will be able to read the novel!
And if you'd like to join my taglist, let me know!

GIFT: Fiddler's Green.
Tumblr media
Just received this amazing gift through the post, all the way from Berkeley, California. Can't wait to start reading articles like: The Archetypal Scarecrow; The Literary Romance of the Werewolf, The Magus and Jabberwock - and so much more - as well as a couple of beautiful little booklets. I am definitely thrilled with this, and many, many thanks to Clint Marsh - the publisher, for sending it to me, and to Nina Antonia for introducing me.

Fiddler’s Green Leaflets
Tumblr media
Fiddler's Green Leaflet Series
As the November winds blow the last of the leaves from the London planetrees a new set of 'leaves' have blown through my door. A pair of Fiddler's Green Leaflet series pamphlets brought by the postman.
These exceptionally designed leaflets are a treasure. Each is an article that appeared in a now out of print issue of the Fiddler's Green Peculiar Parish Magazine. The small leaflet style is just the thing for the simple pleasures of afternoon reading.
Each is 12 pages, staple bound in handsome papers, with a copper foil leaf logo to the front. The same attention to detail found in the Fiddler's Green Peculiar Parish Magazine is found in these enchanting additions to any zine and leaflet collection.
Tumblr media
"The Place of the Song-Dream: The Animal Spirituality of Kenneth Grahame" by Clint Marsh & Timothy Renner
A lyrical exploration of Kenneth Grahame's Piper at the Gates of Dawn, the central chapter of his anthropomorphic tale of animal adventure, "The Wind in the Willows". Insightful and beautiful look at this familiar "children's" story from Clint Marsh, with two inviting illustrations by Timothy Renner.
Tumblr media
"Enchantment Dismantled: Superstition and the Thinking Irrationalist" by Clint Marsh & Kelly Patton
A concise examination of the role that superstition plays in our lives and a practical manual for sorting out how these superstitions can be either negative or positive depending on the role they play. Wonderfully illustrated like an old educational text by Kelly Patton.
Tumblr media
Clint Marsh and his Fiddler's Green Peculiar Parish Magazine & Wonderella Press continue to add beautiful publications to their catalogue of treasures. I look forward to opening each package I recieve over a strong cup of coffee.
Find these and more at the newly launched website for Fiddler's Green Peculiar Parish Magazine ~

Yes yes, the Devil Zine/Book is a legit thing. Why would I do this? I want to create more Luciferian / Satanist material. Sure, I could write a book, but material put together by the community at large (even if it different difficulties) sounded much better. A zine/book that is made up of essays or creative material such as art, poetry, photography...
I liked the sound of that. Plus I enjoy Fiddler’s Green, Hellebore, and Cunning Folk. Why not have our version???
The issue I ran into is that I do not know how much interest people would get into it. Two, I plan to finally FINALLY start college soon. I have my game plan. There are things I want to do, and I can’t guarantee I have the energy to see it through year after year. This will see how difficult it is for a variety of reasons. How much interest is in it.
I hope to release it by end of 2021 or Spring of 2022 by latest. It depends upon printing and layout...mostly printing. So yah, let’s go.

Two special projects I worked on in the last year or so: “The Riddle of the Sphinx” leaflet by @fiddlersgreenzine and a bookmark for @threehandspress! I can’t say enough good things about both of these companies. 🩸 @fiddlersgreenzine offers informative and inspiring publications that touch upon a wide range of folklore and magic, spotlighting contemporary writers and artists. There is an uplifting, celebratory atmosphere that oozes from every issue of Fiddler’s Green, as if you’ve discovered a secret cave of wonders that can light your imagination and melt the walls of time and space. My work can be seen in a number of their zines as well as the “Riddle of the Sphinx” leaflet written by Clint Marsh, who runs the magazine! 🩸 @threehandspress is one of the premiere publishers of books on occultism and metaphysica, and I am continually impressed by their publications. They are a company dedicated to illuminating the more obscure esoteric topics and their books are always innovative, well researched, and in-depth. I particularly love their tomes that focus on occult herbalism, poisonous plants, and spirit flight. Many of my drawings over the years were inspired by their books, so it was a pleasure and an honor to draw this bookmark for them! 🩸 #fiddlersgreenzine #threehandspress #adriennerozzi #occult #occultism #folklore #witchcraft https://www.instagram.com/p/B8g0H9PnTj5/?igshid=1w6jrfes3617f

So incredibly impressed with Fiddler's Green magazine (@fiddlersgreenzine)! It's just a wonderful little 'zine, which they themselves describe as "A Peculiar Parish Magazine. Art & Magic for Tea-Drinking Anarchists, Convivial Conjurors & Closeted Optimists." I couldn't have said it better! Just check out that beautiful cover! Thank you for the luv, Clint. #fiddlersgreen #magazine #esoteric #magic #occult #art #ghost #spirit
