This piece was made as a memorial to honor a dearly loved German shepherd. He’s a little over 7 inches long and contains some of the ashes from his namesake’s cremation, as well as a magnet to let him play with miniature versions of his favorite toys. I’m always honored to work on these kinds of projects, and am really proud of how he came out!

This was a commissioned piece and is not for sale, but my next convention is Anthro New England, January 19-21 and I’ll have lots of felted friends available there!

Nanny’s Pyrex Pattern

The person who designed this pattern on Bracelet Book had a few different vintage Pyrex patterns. I was thrilled to find my grandmother’s (who we all called “Nanny”) pattern. She had a whole set of dishes with this pattern that I fondly remember using when I was growing up. Sadly, she passed away last year, but I will always think of her when I see this Pyrex pattern. It’s called Butterfly Gold, for anyone who’s wondering.

August Patreon Pattern ~ Rainbow Bridge~

I've always wanted to design a pattern that people could stitch to help memorialize lost pets. This project has been pretty emotional for me since my eldest cat, Che, has been struggling with medical issues. Thank you to my patrons, Jesse & Jasmyn, who shared their cat's lives with me and allowed me to use their names as examples in this design. I hope I've given Radek & Pumpkin the love they deserve.

Oh we’re doing that thing again where we pretend business degrees are useless so that way if (when) corporations commit serious crimes or influencers commit serious ethical violations we can all be like “lol they didn’t know anything business school only teaches two+2!”

Meanwhile the textbook lays out the exact scenario as what NOT to do in week 2. In a textbook that, weirdly, no businessperson ever cites. Despite it being almost universally taught in classrooms and lecture halls. Sure.

It’s almost like people are pretending there aren’t regulations to learn in hopes that they’ll go away…

And the general public making those jokes are falling for it…

But of course the jokesters you like would never lie to you so it must be something else! Surely they’ve learned nothing about the tax code to exploit loopholes! They definitely haven’t learned any dodgy marketing practices! They’d have to go to a class for that! And business schools only teach… 2+2.

Remember this: people on the internet will lie to you for money. Never believe anything without fact checking and ascertaining they don’t have a vested interest in lying.

If you believe this, you have fallen directly for a dodgy marketing tactic.

We can do this right now: think of every influencer you know in a research-heavy niche who is known for or suspected of cutting serious research corners. Now think of influencers you know that make jokes about how business degrees are useless. I suspect a pattern might be emerging.

Fashion merchandising, accounting, and marketing are all business majors. We literally have not finished the reckoning of how marketing uses psychology and sociology to manipulate people. Please, let’s pretend to be just a little bit serious. You are nodding along with “accounting majors? They don’t know how to do math!” (And keep in mind… we all have to take basic accounting classes. A lot of jokes made about business majors and business school are only specifically applicable to one type of MBA student.) Use your brains. Don’t let weirdos you don’t know making a living on the internet lie to you.

I just watched a YouTube video where everyone was laughing at the students and neither the host or the comments put together that teaching comprehensive business ethics is an avenue for teaching the more cynical students a roadmap on how to disregard ethics and get away with it. Why? Because the host implied either the students weren’t paying attention or the professor was lying about the coursework, and the audience believed him.

If you see someone doing this: click off the video. Immediately. They are not a trustworthy source of information.

White Rainbow as a Warning

Polka dot - poke a dot - the moonlight spills from my unquiet slot

An old pear of an au pair with the top cut off - now look at me blowing the closet doors right off -

Look at me spherically confused and losing the plot

And heed this warning, please: beware the milk of human kind-of-ness, it's poisoning the vitality in the nature of defiance: sullying the slurry. Don't beleave me, please baby, don't beleave me 😭

Stand by my side and take a nip of the stuff, like a mouthful of hair whisps each enthralled to become your next tourniquet; rounding teeth like nooses, squelching your uvula till it blueberrys right inside you. And behind it all, running amidst it as liquid, is the milk. And it tastes of piss and bad arterial spritz, because it comes out like this in disquieting shocks to the system. And it airs its plumage in white rainbows. Blue from poking dots when you should've been connecting them? Now you've got sticky fingers and no clearer picture to follow? Lo' on low: no omen to behold, but another white rainbow.

Memorial Quilt #8 of 8 is now complete! These tops were made from the clothing of a woman who passed away in 2021. The backings were made with Flannel that wraps around to form the edge binding. This one was made with the Quilt-as-you-Go Method and measures approx. 60”W x 72”L. I will be delivering #7 & 8 tomorrow (she already has the first 6). I also made matching pillowcase for these.

I hate Toma but he's so cute and has a great character design, so I definitely had to make him!

This is my first finished project (well, mostly, I just have to give it a final edge and then weave my ends in), I found a crochet hook holder a while back and really liked how it looks; it's crazy that I could replicate it, even if it's not technically great. If you don't look too hard or scrutinize it, you might be impressed (so please don't look close)
