Colette is most in her element in the open windswept plains of the Steppe ! She likes being able to see her targets from further afield-though the catch is they can spot HER too. She'll also find herself more or less about as capable in the jungles, once she gets a feel for how to move through the undergrowth... .... Also Rathy is here because I think her doing the "Monstie" bit is kinda neato lmfao. (Monsties being.. from the MHStories line, you raise and befriend various Monster Hunter monsters from eggs you steal from their nests and ride and fight along side them! I can't imagine going into Battle with a whole sale Rathy though, I think the enemy would simply turn tail.)

Drakeskin Viper

So for Dawntrail I decided to shake things up and try out Viper for the MSQ (and likely beyond, given I'm no longer tanking for my static). A new job demands a new glam, and after a lot of deliberating pre-expansion I settled on Rathalos. And, well, I've kinda fallen in love with this glam now. Everything just comes together so well. I just have one piece left that I need, but... That's an EX trial drop so I've got a bit of work ahead of me. In the meantime, this is good.

You know, I've come to discover one of my fave things to do in FFXIV! I'm discovering I'm getting a LOT of enjoyment out of just joining PFs and helping people out. Especially when I need nothing from whatever they're running.

Yesterday I helped a lot of people!

I helped: 1 person get 3 mounts (Lakshmi, Byakko, and Seiryu) 2 people work on getting the Rathalos mount (got a whistle drop and farmed out scales) 1 person run Saint. Mocs on hard to get a TT card (and got it on our final run cause he was getting tired!)

There's a bit of mutual benefit in it though, cause I went Warrior the whole time!

And due to rec. from one of the party members during the Rathalos runs, I'll be doing DRK next. Which means I need to learn that insane ass opener because I refuse to look bad in front of other people, despite my rampant tankxiety.

disappointed ffxiv never dove further into dragon lore in the east cuz you'd think they would, I want to see a dragon who hid out there coming out to celebrate the new year's with the namazu...doin' a little dragon dance with the dancers...
