Personality

Many people call Revan a calm, composed but often lost in thoughts, absent man. Even as arrogant and snobbish. This is due to the fact that he does not like to make new contacts. He rather stays in the background during a conservation and observes his counterpart as well as his surroundings closely.  He takes a long time to get used to his surroundings. Calm and composed, he observes and analyses his counterpart before jumping to action. With his good sense of body language he can assess people precisely and predict roughly what they will do next and keep an ace up in his sleeves. Controlling people after his will is easy for him.   His biggest weakness lies in opening himself to someone and to bury his worries deep inside him. But whatever happens he will pursue his goals without losing track of them until he has reached it. Another trait of him is his curiosity which is similar to a kid. Once he falls in love, he becomes very protective.

Backstory

Revan was born in a desert village near the mediterranean zone. He had a 5 years younger brother and they lived with his parents at the edge of the village, because of Revan. He showed a certain talent for magic from an early age and often saw more than the other village people. Many were frighten by his gaze into space. One day, he was 15, the villiage was attacked, they fled, but Revan lost his brother in the panic.

Eaten up by the thought that he is to blame for this he ignores his magic for a long time and travels through the country to find his brother again. A few years later he learns that Aram is dead and the Count's army is to blame for the attack. He travels to Vesuvia. Stranded there, he meets Asra.

To make money he starts to work with Julian. But then the plague breaks out and he remains in the city despite a dispute with Asra. He dies, but is resuscitated. Unfortunately he has only partial memories, and much of his childhood and family is gone. So he also sets off on a journey with Julian to find his past.

“Rádio 2000 do Stereoscope foi e ainda é grande referência musical pra mim, desde que comecei levar música mais a sério como profissão, já tem uns 10 anos mais ou menos. Tem uma textura sonora muito gostosa e as músicas são fantásticas. Mesmo a tanto tempo tocando ainda tenho bastante dificuldade de conseguir tocar as músicas desse disco e de outros do Stereoscope, porque eles são fodas demais mesmo. É acorde pra caramba de um jeito que não fica parecendo que estão enchendo linguiça nem querendo se mostrar.”

Tournament Report: Doc’s @ 2-12-2017 (Casual)

Memory of this is muzzy. Mentally strained EXTREMELY hard on some matchups -- endurance tests. Fucking Netrunner.

Ran a Kit variant and a Corp variant

Corps faced were ETF Fast Advance, BABW, Argus

Runners faced were Andromeda, Maxx, Hayley

Er, lemme try to remember... ETF-Maxx, BABW-Hayley, Argus-Andro

Argus/Andro was first. 1-1. Also a fellow newbie, traded based on differing tempos.

Then it was BABW/Hayley and HOLY SHIT that stretched on. Probing tests, fake-outs, ultimately forced him to choose between a Hard-Hitting News and me possibly scoring the next turn. I was faking the Boom! Wasn’t anywhere in my hand. Fuck yeah Netrunner!

Third game was a whuppin’ against the guy that ultimately went 5-1. Fast-advanced me dizzy first round, Keyholed me to death the second.

Lessons Learned

On Runner Side: Better economy use. I’m draining myself dry when I should at least be leaving enough up to knock off a stray tag. 3-5 floating is a good average, unless I expect a Midseasons or worse. Need to leave enough to throw out a Sure Gamble next turn.

I also need to better-calculate how much a run is costing me. But that’s adjacent to developing a better “money-sense,” so to speak.

On Corp Side: The better I know my matchups, the better my ice placements will be. Leaving R&D exposed to Keyhole was excruciatingly agonizing, thanks to all the repeat shuffling and expose-off-tops EVERY SINGLE CLICK made.

WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY OAKTOWNS?! DO I REALLY NEED TO BUY ANOTHER CHROME CITY?!

Otherwise: they’re finally at the point where I feel like I understand how each card functions into the other. Few dead hands, few easy discards.

Note: Somewhat suboptimal version, actually. I couldn’t find my goddamn Oaktown Grids and had to go with Mantas. Those were totally unused all day. Really irritated by that. Though maybe I should just replace them with Red Herrings outright... Same influence cost, after all.

Runner: Peace and Equality - Kit

Oh, Kit’s been lovely. Really lovely. This deck’s been running beautifully, minus a few RNG issues. I’m also wondering whether swapping one of the Peaces for a Rebirth might be worth it, going into Smoke after you get all the breakers out for extra econ...

Reluctant to do so, though. Peace upon an active Beth gives you so damn much. It’s just on me to be more resource-efficient.

I now have more copies of full-art Mushin than I really need...
