My absolute favorite kind of mentor and protege relationship is when the mentor absolutely cares about their protege and wants them to succeed
--but they are passing on lessons that are just so, so incredibly toxic and harmful, fully believing them to be the key to success.

Prompt 60
For completing an especially hard contract, Geralt is given a present from the fae. "Your perfect love", they call it. When Jaskier is shoved toward him, Geralt wishes he could say he was surprised. Geralt quickly gains his shock back, however, when upon his bard speaking, he finds he has been completely drained of his personality. Jaskier speaks as concisely and directly as possible, with no embellishment or flowering of his words - Hell, he doesn't even speak with emotion or tone in his voice. Geralt demands to know what they've done to Jaskier, only for the fae to teleport them out. Geralt goes from mage to mage, sorcerer to sorcerer, healer to healer, priest to priest, hoping desperately that someone, anyone, can revert Jaskier back to himself. Jaskier no longer sings. He barely talks. He doesn't wander off, or dance in place, or reach out to Geralt. His eyes have even dulled in color, now a blank gray, always looking hazy and glossed over. Nobody can heal Jaskier. Or so it seeems! I love happy endings SO two options (or any you come up with but you know what I mean) Option 1: Geralt marches back to the Fae's woods and demands they speak to him, as they've disrespected him by not giving him his prize for completing their contract those months ago. When they bring him in, affronted at the idea of what he is implying, they are shocked when he berates them for at least a full hour over how much he loves the traits his bard once had that they had thought he found annoying. "So you never gave me my perfect love." He finishes. They all converse for a moment, before nodding. "It seems we underestimated you, Witcher. We apologize for the misconception." And thank the gods, Jaskier slumps in place and looks to Geralt with bright blue eyes. "Geralt? Wh- What's going on?" Only to then be kicked out of the fae realm again. Oh well. At least Jaskier was cured. Option 2: TRUE LOVE'S KISS BABBYYYYYYYYYY

Eyes on me – an interactive whump story. Part 2.
Previous part. Masterpost. Next part.
Content warning: institutionalized slavery, imprisonment, dehumanizing language, it/its for an unhuman whumpee, pet whump.
"In folklore, any mythical, magical creature is commonly called 'fey'," they book that Lord Teelo had ordered after returning to the inn room said. "It is, of course, a wide misconception that is not accepted in any theory that has even an ounce of respect for itself. Fey is not just another way to say "magical", but a registered phenomenon different from a spirit, a magic-infused animal or a demon, and especially has nothing to do with tiny folk with wings, whose existence is widely refuted…"
It went on and on, an irritatingly salty response siting some previous debates and calling out authors the lord had never heard about. It could be entertaining in its own right – Lord Teelo was anything but impartial to loud grudges and decades old arguments – if not for his lack of experience with the topic rendering the details tedious and the fact that it wasn't idle interest that led him to seeking out the book.
The papers had been signed in half an hour, the impressive sum of money changing hands as the decision had been finalized at the spot. The arrangements had been made immediately after to transport the creature to the lord's summer house. It was to spend its last night at the auction house, and then, in the morning, they would ride – Lord Teelo in his usual carriage and his new property in an impressive cage – towards its new home.
The thrill of the purchase was sure to keep the lord awake, and he decided to spend the time on research. Learning about the kind of thing that came into his possession was paramount – after all, he didn't want it to die before its time because of his ignorance.
"Fey is defined by any reputable source as an otherworldly creature. It does not come with as many defined characteristics as an unsoundly educated person would believe: a creature from another dimension does not have to have wings and three pairs of limbs, though it is not out of the realm of possibility. A fey can look exactly as your regular cattle. The one thing that makes it fey is that it is not from the reality we live in."
The text wasn't very useful. In the two chapters Lord Teelo had managed before throwing the book into his bag and settling in bed, there was an infuriatingly little amount of actual, useful advice. The further he read, the more sure he was: he would have to figure things out by himself.
It was the thrill that came with owning the never before seen creature, one he wasn't even sure was from the same world, one, if it wasn't, that would catch the interest and desire for experiments by mages all over the world.
Now that he thought about it, maybe he should get into contact with a few. Their insight would be valuable either way – the lord was doubtful that the rainbow marks on the creature's skin could be the result of anything but magic, and magic tended to come with complications he wasn't confident he could deal with by himself.
Getting in contact with the sailors who caught the thing was a good idea, too. He'd already asked for the name of their ship and drafted a letter to a good old acquaintance in Froien. She would get the information to him in no time, even if he'll definitely have to show the creature to her afterwards. Keya, as he knew her, was curious beyond all else. Lord Teelo couldn't wait to see her face and the faces of his other acquaintances when they saw the kind of prize he'd gotten. The images of their amazement and barely hidden jealousy made him giddy with anticipation.
He wanted to make the most out of the day, and so was up and in the back garden of the auction house barely an hour after sunrise, despite the morning chill finding its way to his very bones through the layers of fabrics and furs he'd donned. A cart made into a cage with thick iron bars – provided with the purchase, of course, and with how much he'd paid Lord Teelo would be personally offended if it wasn't – was hurriedly readied and brought to the doors of the building.
The sounds of clattering and clinging and human voices burst through the open door before the creature was dragged out. It was the size of a northern wolf, bound and twisted and carried by two cautious servants. It craned its neck and bared its teeth through the muzzle, a wild animal, a scared one, and if not for the lines running down its skin and the weirdly human-like hands – with thumbs even if they were too long to actually be human – Lord Teelo would have taken it for nothing more than a dumb beast. Then it opened its mouth as wide as it could and let out a whole string of sounds – low and guttural and constantly repeating in patterns that made the lord think that it was trying – no, saying something in an unfamiliar, alien language.
He felt his pulse high in his throat, watching the creature as it was pushed inside the cage, chains around its limbs secured and the door locked behind. It kicked and threw itself against the metal only to settle back a moment later, too smart to waste energy on a fight it couldn't win.
And then, it noticed him.
Lord Teelo thought it recognized him – or maybe it was a wishful thinking fueled by the way it stilled and stared and then craned its neck to the side and forward, baring fangs in a display that was chilling even despite the binds. The unblinking yellow of its eyes pierced right through him.
He felt goosebumps creeping up his arms but refused to acknowledge it. He was safe, he reminded himself. It was tied up and helpless. No matter how it bared its teeth and tried to look scary, he was the master.
He stepped forward, lifting a hand up to place at the edge of the cart. The creature glanced at it, then continued staring. The lord smiled, "Hello there."
The creature growled and then said something. Lord Teelo continued soothingly, "No need to be so tense. We'll get to know each other -- you'll get used to me in no time."
In the light of the starting day, its skin didn't look like that startling black he saw in the dim cell. It was more grayish – still dark, though, and still unnatural. The pattern of colorful lines didn't look any less striking. His fingers ached to touch it, to feel if its skin was rough under his touch or as human-like as some of its features were. As the black short fur framing its face and ending in the middle of its back in a sort of haircut. Fey, Lord Teelo thought fervently. It had to be one. It was too strange in some ways and too familiar in others. It had to be a creature from another world. What other explanation could there be?
"Lord Teelo?" A voice came from his side and soon he was regrettably distracted, finishing the transaction and discussing the details. Servants pulled a thick piece of fabric covering the cage from view. Lord Teelo dismissed the pang of regret at their actions, reminding that he was going to have months worth of time to play around with the new toy.
He wondered what it'd be like. How it'd act. Would it be able to learn the human tongue, or prove to be too dumb for it?
He wondered where it would live. And – ah, this was an urgent question, was it not? He should send a letter to make sure it was all taken care of by the time he arrived.

if all of the first time (playable) defense attorney's have one thing in common, if not their inexplainable habit of being way too nervous for their first cases, it's their AWFUL habit of worrying themselves sick...
here's some mia hcs to go with that!!
mia fey- ✧ she had to grow up fairly quickly, you know with the whole mother disappearing and having a two year old sister in the back ✧ this meant she had little to no time to learn how to cope! ✧ this also meant she had little to no time to take care of herself, regardless of if her aunt took care of her and maya (which i find hard to believe, outside of the basics) ✧ she's have headaches nearly on the daily, and she'd often have days where it's hard to get out of bed due to muscles pains from overworking herself ✧ those days 'mysteriously' stopped when she left home, but started up again soon after she started going to law school ✧ lana skye and her were closer in school days, and she often had to drag her back to bed instead of going to class or studying discreetly ✧ she did appreciate her efforts after she got better, but hated them in the moments ✧ after she graduated and went to grossbergs law offices, they stopped again... once more, 'mysteriously' ✧ they did end up starting up a week or two before her first trial defending fawles, and this time diego was the one pulling her back into bed. (grossberg endorsed) ✧ grossberg ended up acting as a silly dad during this time, too. he taught her how to calm down or even just fake it til she made it, and she did! ✧ while the headaches persisted to be a common problem while she was under stress, the full-body aches stopped being a glaring problem, and would only spike after some consistent pressure

Chapter 63 - The Prodigal Sons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter Summary: Church reaps the supernatural benefits that the Raven Queen grants to him as his new patron. Three days may have passed during his and Astarion's time in the Shadowfell, but they make up for it by helping Halsin and the rest of their companions seek out Thaniel's missing piece. Lifting the Shadow Curse is just within reach, but their task is about to become far more difficult — and deadly.
Pairing(s): Astarion x Male Tav (Main); Past OC x Male Tav Rating: Explicit Length: 326K+ words; Chapters 63/?? (Master Post)
Excerpt below:
Church’s party follows him through the portal, the dirt ground giving way to the cracked stone of Reithwin’s town center.
Oliver awaits them there — along with the Mother herself.
She sways where she stands in an enormous humanoid body, all edges and angles as if made from razor-sharp obsidian. Her smoky hair billows in a nonexistent wind as two yellow orbs blaze in her featureless face. She towers over Oliver protectively, watching the party approach with unblinking eyes.
“Mummy!” Oliver beseeches her. “I told you to make them go away!”
“I made them go away from the house,” the Mother points out.
“Ugh, stupid mummy,” Oliver groans scornfully. “You know what? It’s good you followed. This’ll be a lot more fun!”
Oliver’s face cracks into a wide grin as he turns to Church. “All your friends are stupid and should go away. But if you're clever enough, you can stay here forever as my big brother. We’ll be a family!”
As he beckons, another smaller wraith joins the Mother, along with a shadow of... is that an owlbear cub?
“See? Mummy, daddy, and Kitty!” Oliver proclaims proudly. “And you! See?”
“My friends are family enough,” Church says coldly. “Oliver, you have a real brother! Thaniel needs—!”
“Thaniel, Thaniel, Thaniel!” Oliver spits. “He left me behind!”
Halsin begins to groan, and the bear dissolves into golden leaves as the wood elf stands up. “Please understand, Oliver. He didn’t wish to abandon you. You weren’t supposed to…!”
“Shut! Up!” Oliver snarls, and the party narrowly avoids a warning lash of shadow. “Who cares what I’m supposed to do? I don’t have to do anything you want! You can’t make me!”
Too late, Church feels a familiar, warm thrumming behind him.
“Wyll — wait!” he shouts, and as he turns he’s nearly blinded by the beam of Daylight scorching towards the shadowy family.
But the Mother dives down, enveloping Oliver in a dome of shadows. The attack deflects from the shield, sending the party scattering to dodge the radiant light. When they blink past their swimming vision, it appears the family has dissipated into the air.
“You idiot!” Astarion snarls at the mortified warlock. “Now we lost him!”
A childlike giggling fills the air.
“You want to play? Fine! Let’s play a game!” Oliver’s disembodied voice cackles. “And it’s my game, my home, so I get to make the rules!”
For a moment, all the sound is sucked out of the air.
And then Church hears Lae’zel’s deep, racking cough. He spins around to see her doubled-over, her sword clattering to the ground as she shakily wipes at her mouth. Black blood spills from it, and as she looks up in dismay, it weeps from her inky, opaque eyes as well.
"No..." Church whispers. "It can't be—?"
“Kain…cha…” Lae'zel rasps. “N-no. Run! RUN!”
She spasms before her mouth falls slack. And then, within those eyes, something ignites a familiar, sickly glow.
The Shadow Curse.
“Tag!” Oliver cries gleefully as he reappears from beside her. “You’re it!”
Bonus: Owlbear plushie. ;_;

Ah! Well. Nevertheless,
You know, this wasn't supposed to be a series. But here we are: Miego hell in its full, fiery glory.
One-shot from Mia's POV, filling in some suggestive gaps in canon. Timeline jumps around a bit, but follows my happy Miego fic. (This one is not happy! Check the tags.)
Tumblr media
I have a few more of these in the works, including some Godot-being-dreadful fic and some bittersweet reunion fic, so feel free to follow the series if you're into that sort of thing.

Detective L - Luo Fei Prequel fanfic
The Violent Past of Luo Fei
Rating: Mature
Warnings: General Depictions of Violence
Fandom: Detective L (TV)
Relationship: Ben Jieming & Luo Fei
Tags (Abridged, All tags on AO3): Pre-Canon, Blood and Violence, Violent Luo Fei, Best Friend Ben, Platonic Relationships, Mental Breakdown, Emotional Support, Gun Violence
Words: 7,110
At first it was just when he had time between cases, Luo Fei would hunt down any loose end or lead to the Captain. When bringing in suspects was prohibited, he stopped following that protocol. He’d corner potential contacts in back alleys and abandoned lots outside of the French Concession. First it was just asking questions, but then it escalated.  Ben Jieming was still a field officer at the time. The station had been called for a public disturbance for fighting by a nearby business. It was late into the evening, when the drinking crowd usually started to cause problems, so he didn’t think anything of it, until he rounded the corner and recognized the jacket of the man towering over another. His back was turned but there was no mistaking it. It was Luo Fei. The sobbing pleas of the man beneath him seemed useless as Luo Fei gripped the shirt collar of the other and punched him again. “Tell me!” he screamed into the bleeding and bruised face of this poor stranger. “Where did he go? Who smuggled him out of the city?!” “Please. Please. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Please. I don’t know who you’re talking about.” The stranger begged and grasped at Luo Fei’s jacket desperately.  “THE CAPTAIN!” Ben finally shook himself out of shock. “Luo Fei!” His voice made his friend freeze, though his grip holding the stranger up off the ground stayed tight on the bloody shirt collar. “Let him go, Luo Fei.” Luo Fei looked over his shoulder at Ben and the look in his eyes was completely foreign to Ben. He was lost and utterly consumed. It was a wonder that there was that small shred of recognition when he locked eyes on Ben where he stood at the end of the alleyway.  Ben hadn’t drawn his firearm, but as the other officer that came to respond to the call with him turned the corner and took in the bloody scene, he didn’t hesitate to point his gun straight at Luo Fei. “Step away from each other and hands against the wall,” the rookie cop ordered stiffly. “Just wait. Give me a second,” Ben scolded the other, raising up a hand to force him to lower his gun. “It’s fine. Just let me handle this.” He sounded far more confident in that fact than he actually felt.

ACOFAF Whumptober Day 1:
Major K. P. Hob headed towards the Seelie encampment, steps heavy with regret. He knew his feelings were traitorous and useless, but —. Remember your place, he reminded himself. Do your duty.
As he entered the woods, his senses, honed by years of battle, began tingling. Subconsciously, he settled into a more stable stance, casting his eyes about for whatever was amiss. As a shadow dropped across his path, Hob’s eyes alit on the approaching figure of Prince Apollo.
Hob’s ears flattened against his head. “Your highness,” he greeted.
“Captain”, the prince responded curtly.
“Major, I’m afraid.” As Hob corrected him, his mind was spinning. They were maintaining pleasantries … for now. But it was clear to him that this was no social call.
As Prince Apollo drew his sword, Hob’s world narrowed into the familiar sense of an oncoming battle. But … this was no battle, nor even a duel. There were no social niceties, no planning; just an ambush in the woods.
Hob was a soldier. He knew the look in the prince’s eyes — the Prince wanted him dead. There was no honor in this.
“Good day!” Hob gave one last nod to rules of propriety he knew wouldn’t save him, and dropped to all fours, turned and fled.
This was no dignified retreat; this was a desperate sprint at his fastest speed. It would not help anything for him to die here, and any attempts to defend himself were out of the question considering their respective social standings.
Hob knew his only hope was to reach a populated area where Prince Apollo would be forced to break off his attack or face sanctions; in accordance he angled away from the Seelie court back to the grounds from where he came.
Thunk. Hob heard more than felt an arrow impact deeply into his back. At first he felt nothing, but then agonizing pain spread from the wound. Hob faltered for but a second before continuing his stride. He’d been wounded in battle before; he knew that the injury was deep but not life threatening. He also knew that now that a bow was in play, increasing the distance between him and his pursuer was paramount.
“Fight!” Hob heard the prince’s command, backed up by magic; but he fought it off. Fighting here would be suicide. He redoubled his efforts to get away; grabbing his halberd off his back in an effort to provide at least some shielding, and scampering even faster than before, heedless of the burning pain in his back and blood rushing from the wound.
Despite his best efforts, Hob felt panic rising within him. This was unfamiliar terrain, and an unfamiliar situation; more alike to being hunted than a true fight. He had to find reinforcements.
Hob felt an arrow whiz by close to his ear, before the second thunked yet again into his back. He ignored the prince’s taunts and pushed down the burning pain and rising panic. All that mattered was escape.
Sneakery. Hob was a Goblin, however unconventional; and this was a situation where traditional warfare tactics did not apply.
“A true goblin never does what gets seen when he might to have done it where it wouldn't! More secrets is more better to goblins!” Hob exclaimed, before angling his run down a slope to get out of eyeline.
A part of him burned at the besmirchment of his honor in this disgraceful ambush. But the arrows in his back burned worse; and he knew that this was not a battle he could fight.
Hob heard the prince’s footsteps slow. He tensed, though avoided breaking stride. This turned out to be a good reflex, as he felt something tear around the arrows in his back, followed by a burning wave.
He couldn’t help but let out a yelp, even as his mind quickly put together what had happened; the arrows had detonated, but the detonators had disconnected and so he’d only been caught by the blast wave. A lucky break, but his pain was rising, as was his fear.
This wasn’t a situation that was comfortable to Hob; it wasn’t familiar, it didn’t follow any rules, he wasn’t prepared for it. He was injured; not near death, he knew, but significantly wounded.
As such, he breathed a sigh of relief when he didn’t hear the prince resume pursuit. Counting his strides, he marked the moment he passed out of longbow range and chanced a look back.
The Prince Apollo was a figure of gold, staring disdainfully down, before turning away. Hob didn’t stop sprinting; he still needed to find other fey, some reinforcements; someone who could help him, or catch Apollo; he was injured and scared and some primal instinct inside him was driving him towards the hope of help.
Finally, he spied ahead of him … the Lords of the Wings, carrying suitcases? He put aside questions about that as he observed BINX, and Andhera, and … Rue. He was almost glad that the pain and fear didn’t leave any space for more … confusing emotions. But Andhera was there, and BINX, so this would be safe.
Hob slowed to a halt and stood up, approaching.
“Captain Hob!” “Captain Hob!” The Lords of the Wings exclaimed. “You seem out of sorts!”
Hob was sure he did. He was, afterall, breathing hard, sweating, bleeding, and panicked. But in their insistence to focus on him, Hob read a hint of discomfort in their demeanors. And as they tried to bring all the attention to him, Hob became very uncomfortable.
“Well, well, well, we don’t need to focus completely on me!” he stated awkwardly, hoping to get everyone to stop looking at him like that. Out of immediate danger, the adrenaline was leaving, and Hob felt all of the pain hit him, his whole back screaming in agony. But this company was full of his superiors, and Hob couldn’t bear to show weakness.
“Do you require assistance with your considerable luggage?” he inquired, falling back on his instincts to be helpful, to serve; desperately trying to deflect the uncomfortable concern.
The Lords of the Wing jumped at the offer, which Hob immediately regretted, as he felt the arrows further pierce his back as he lifted. Hob felt himself swaying perilously to the side, the meadow seeming to spin around him.
A hand on his shoulder steadied him, although it also set off a burst of pain as it came close to some of his wounds. Hob looked into the concerned face of Prince Andhera, and relaxed slightly.
He didn’t know why he so trusted the prince he’d once fought against, but at the Bloom he felt they’d actually become friends, for whatever reason. He leaned against the hand to try to stop the world’s whirling, as he struggled to tune into Lord Airavus and Lady Featherfowl’s discussion of jam.
“I'm so sorry, is there a more water-resistant portion of the luggage? I appear to be losing some of your fine jam. Sorry, sorry. Maybe if I keep reorienting.” Hob desperately tried to keep his pain and disorientation off his face as he began rotating the luggage.
The continuing conversation of the Lords of the Wing began to fade away as Hob felt the arrows in his back shift and agonizingly pierce deeper. His vision blurred and he swayed further to one side, only Andhera’s hand keeping him grounded.
“So sorry. Hold on.” he muttered, trying to focus. “I have a roll of gauze. I'm going to use it to soak up the jam.”.
He continued listening to Lord Airavus’  description of the jam, trying to contribute to the conversation even as he felt his words slurring more and more. He could see Andhera’s concern, but couldn’t spare the energy to check on BINX or Rue.
Hob started as Lady Featherfowl began accusing Andhera of using messages to gossip behind her back. He attempted to reassure her, but his body was growing heavy and he knew he was hardly coherent. He was aware his display was highly dishonorable, but he couldn’t quite help it as he tried to keep himself conscious. He perceived BINX taking one of the luggage away from him, and was dimly grateful.
A wave of healing crested into him from Andhera, chasing away some of the pain from his back and healing the burns left by the exploding arrows. Hob’s energy returned, and he straightened, focusing.
Turning to face Andhera, he thanked them profusely, grateful beyond words at the gesture. “Are they still in there?” he asked hurriedly. Hearing the hubbub of confusion around him, he figured that trying to hide the situation was a lost cause. “Look, I’ve been shot.” He exclaimed.
Immediately the group erupted into exclamations of concern, and Hob had to fight to not shrink back to avoid the attention. That wasn’t the priority right now. “I’ve been shot, are the arrows still -”
“Yes,” Andhera responded clearly, and Hob felt yet another strange wave of gratitude towards the one other person in this situation who seemed to have a handle on what to do.
They headed off to Andhera’s apartment, Hob trying to focus on the conversation rather than the feeling of the arrows worming deeper into his back. There was something unnatural about the feeling; and he sensed that they were working towards his organs.
He did truly want to preserve the evidence, see Apollo punished. But as the arrows drove deeper, he reluctantly was forced to admit that it was unlikely he’d be able to last long enough to bring his claim. And even if he did, what would happen? What censure would be levied on a prince for injuring a low-born goblin?
Hob was unsure what he’d do, and his back still burned in pain, but as he looked at Andhera and BINX, and … Rue, and even the Lords of the Wing, he felt that at least he had some safety net to support him.

Anyways, for those who either grew up in mainland China in the 90s or part the Chinese diaspora, Huan Zhu Ge Ge, princess returning pearl, was probably the OG idol historical. It’s adapted from a Qiong Yao novel. Huge hit across Asia. Influenced a whole generation.
Background plot — Xiao Yan Zi is a street orphan who met a girl named Zi Wei. Zi Wei turned out to be the daughter of Qian Long. Xiao Yan Zi accidentally gets mistaken as Zi Wei, takes on the title of princess, and hijinks ensues.
Tagging @huanzhuyulu for additions.
Anyways, this is Xiao Yan Zi
Tumblr media
Perky, spunky, not super smart academically, and with a heart of gold. You know that female lead in idol cdramas these days? Xiao Yan Zi was the prototype. But also, she’s hilarious about Chinese proverbs.
This is Zi Wei
Tumblr media
The prototype Ruby Lin character. I found Zi Wei rather corny when I was 7, TBH. Angsty back story involving being the unknown illegitimate daughter of the emperor, and then later getting whumped/tortured repeatedly by the empress.
This is the 5th Prince, Yong Qi
Tumblr media
The emperor’s favorite son. The guy you thought would be the next emperor until you read anything about history. Smart and earnest. Xiao Yan Zi’s love interest.
(My first ever OTP!)
This is Fu Er Kang
Tumblr media
Qian Long’s bodyguard. Zi Wei’s love interest. Done with Xiao Yan Zi and Yong Qi’s nonsense since episode 3 of season 1. He and Zi Wei had a lot of angsty moments that 7 years old me definitely was not into.
This is Jin Suo (on the right)
Tumblr media
Zi Wei’s maid and BFF. Doubter of Xiao Yan Zi’s antics. Honestly not sure what personality she has other than “Fan Bing Bing is really pretty!”
This is Qian Long
Tumblr media
Huang Ah Ma! The drama is Qian Long’s best publicist. Somehow manage to perv on women and threaten to off his kids, and is jovial enough that you spend your childhood going “what a loving father!”
This is Ling Fei
Tumblr media
Yes, the same Ling Fei as Wei Yingluo from Yanxi. Super nice and motherly. The reason why my brain could not compute Ruyi for the longest time.
