THEIR SECRET (1/3)

Synopsis: So much can happen when the cameras are gone. Rihanna has known about an article where Chadwick Boseman mentioned her. When the two finally run into one another a year after the publication, they share a moment in time that becomes a secret they’ll never forget.

The Article

The Meeting

The cameras were watching. Paparazzi had no intentions of being discreet. They both knew it. He smiled anyway. When she continued walking, watching her step as she made her way to her driver waiting curbside, he figured she hadn’t noticed him. Then, when she slipped in the car and cut hooded eyes in his direction, he caught the glint in her expression. She smirked, darted her eyes in the direction of the Embassy before catching his eye again. They both knew there was a private lounge there for celebrities where spectators had difficulty breaching. He held her eyes a little longer to be sure. She offered a nod as she rolled up the window.

Chadwick slipped on his shades, pulled his hood further down and lowered his head, watching his step. He noted the paparazzi across the street. The shots taken. He moved quickly to get settled in his own car. Headed for the Embassy.

The Agreement

She entered the lounge after some time had passed. Crossed the room with her calves flexing and the sound of her heels magnifying her presence. When she came to him at the bar, he stood. She paused and her perfume kissed his senses. He wasn’t sure to wait to hug her or not as she fumbled with her purse. In stead, he pulled out a stool and waited for her as she slipped atop while thumbing at her phone and slipping it inside of the oversized Chanel bag. When she finally met his eyes, hers were full. The smile she offered was one reserved for those she admired. “You are just the person I’ve been hoping to bump into to chat a bit,” she adjusted, placing her purse on the hook under the bar.

“Hmm,” he smirked. He pulled his eyes from her and took a seat. She was always his celebrity crush and, without knowing, he was hers. “Glad I was in the right place at the right time,” he scanned her features. The change to her hair. The confidence in her stare. Though, there was an edgy angelic grace about her that blended with the fantasies in his mind. Right now, she primarily had an air of innocence. Though, his mind creeped to her music videos and to her wit when encountering paparazzi.

He cleared his throat to suppress any inappropriate thoughts.

“Theee Chadwick Boseman,” her accent carried his name.

“Robyn Rihanna Fenty,” his smile widened hers. “Whew,” he looked her over again as she did the same to him. While his presence was confident, his expression hinted at an air of nervousness. Or that he was possibly shy? “I’m trying to think straight,” he admitted, laughing.

Her laugh was a flirtatious giggle that was sure of itself. Not over-flattered or dainty but appreciative. He watched her movements. She adjusted in the stool, knees facing him. “Let’s start here,” she extended her hand. She was the only woman who could make him feel like he did now. Hyper aware of himself, overstimulated and feeling every part of his body that he could usually ignore while in public spaces or in front of cameras.

He slipped his hand in her extended one. She embrace it, squeezing and bringing their linked hands down to her knee. She held it there. His eyes glanced downward at their clasped hands as she began talking. Her palm was soft. His was firm and warm.

“The first time I saw you was in Law and Order,” she winked her right eye. “The grey eye was memorable and a bit sexy… in a creepy kind of way,”

He smirked. “Played one out of three Black people who have ever committed a crime and have gotten away with it,”

She laughed. “Two of three—I didn’t realize James Brown was abusive to his wife!” Her hand squeezed his.

He watched her closely. “Complex man,” he nodded. “One of the reasons I nearly pushed back against playing the role.”

Her hand finally released his, but her body shifted in the stool to face him completely as she leaned forward. “You were very, very convincing and appealing as Jackie,”

He chuckled. “One of my favorite experiences on set,”

“The actress—,”

“Nicole Beharie,” he spoke quickly.

Her eyebrow arched. “Amazing chemistry,” it was her turn to eye him carefully. She saw his eyes cut downward and to the left.

“I knew she’d be there. Just one of those things you can feel. We have history. Played in an early movie together,”

“The Express,”

He frowned, mostly surprised. “A lot of people aren’t familiar with my early work. Definitely didn’t think you would be,”

“I read your article as well,” she continued.

He looked unsure. Then, embarrassed. He laughed.

“The one you wrote about August Wilson was a nice read,”

This time, he was fully surprised. “You’ve done your homework,”

“Just really find you fascinating,”

He smiled, lowering his eyes and head slightly.

“So much so that it should be no surprise that I am also aware of the article where there was mention of me. You wanting to approach me during an interview,”

He laughed shyly.

She adored his gaze and felt her body respond to his humbleness. Her shoulders moved in a slight shimmy as she flagged down the bartender. He came quickly. “For the record, you should have been the lead in Unknown Persons,” her eyes cut at Chadwick. “It would have been such a better show,” she said firmly before meeting the gaze of the bartender. The bartender stood before them, hating that he had signed a non-disclosure contract and no-photos policy agreement prior to taking the job.

“This,” the bartender’s mannerisms were flamboyant and excited as he gestured between Rihanna and Chadwick. “You two are so sexy together,” he gasped. “Wait, are you two together?!”

“Daniel, take their order and stop being noisy and nosy,” a talking head popped in from the kitchen. “Our apologies to the both of you.”

They both shook their heads.

“No,”

“It’s fine,”

Chadwick cleared his throat. “May I,” when she nodded, he asked, “What are you in the mood for,”

“Two things. Let’s start with champagne,”

He ordered. She watched him. When the bartender went for the glasses and bottle, she waited until Chadwick’s eyes were back on her to say faintly so not to be heard, “I’m in room 357,”

He nodded.

“Meet me there.” It was not a question. She slipped off the stool and pulled her bag from the hook. He stood to meet her embrace. Her arms wrapped around his neck. His slipped around her waist. The stilettos gave her the height to mold into him perfectly. They felt each other exhale against the contact. “Spend a night with me,” now it was a question, whispered in his right ear before she pulled back.

“One night sounds impossible,” his eyes lowered on her as her face came into view.

“Then we can make it two. See you in five,” she didn’t wait for a reply. She smiled slightly, sashaying toward the private lounge exit.

Product 3 - Fenty Beauty Freestyle Bronzing Cream in Butta Biscuit

Uses this month - 11 (same as June)

I've not hit pan yet, but I'm slowly getting there... I think! There's a good size dip in the middle so I'm definitely making progress. I do really like this bronzer, but I'm getting the urge to play around with some of my other ones, so my usage may go down over the next few months, but I'm going to make an effort to use it at least twice a week.

Bambi Fawn Makeup

There’s something sweet and beguiling about this look. Wide eyes framed by fluttery lashes and lots of soft warm brown tones. Perfect for fall, here’s how to look like a soft fawn playing in the fallen leaves.

Base: Truly the key to it all is the base. The skin should be mostly matte with a few strategically placed elements of shine. Light to medium coverage is preferred. Brightening concealer should be under the eyes but don't go for the shocking bright thats popular now, instead only go about one or half a shade lighter and blend. I also recommend light underpainting with a bronzer at the temples, forehead and very lightly on the bridge of the nose for an autumnal sun baked look. Cream bronzer is the way to go.

Face: Keep it very simple. A terracotta, orange or straight up brown blush works best. Apply under the eyes up slightly to the temples but keep a light hand. This look calls for more of a tanned flush than a high beam of color. Try Fenty Cheeks Out Cream Blush 'Rose Latte' or Patrick Ta Double Take Blush Duo ' She's Blushing'

Brows: Keep them as natural as possible, but groomed. Tame them with a brow gel, and this look really gives that wide eyed look if the brows are thinner and farther apart with a slight highlight underneath them. Try not to make them too dark but they don't have to be pale either. Try Benefit Gimme Brow+

Eyes: You want them big and open. Line your upper lid with a soft brown, just darker than your skin tone and also line the lower lash line. Then take a nude (not white) pencil and line the waterline focusing on the inner corner. Nyx Vivid Rich Mechanical Eyeliner Pencil 'Under the Moonstone' & 'Quartz Queen'. Then layer lots of mascara, brown preferably for a softer look, Go for something lengthening like BADgal BANG! Volumizing Mascara.

Lips: If you hate lip liner this is truly the look for you. While you can still wear one if you prefer this look shines best without one. For those with darker skin and lips, go for a soft brownish nude. Try not to go darker than your skin tone as it should be your lips but better. Satin and matte finishes work best, just try not to go too glossy. The best shades are MAC 'Hug Me', 'I Deserve This' & 'Can't Dull My Shine'. Summary: Even with her hair in rollers, and Bronzer? Contour? Wait, concealer? All over her face, actually, never mind, same thing. Y/N is the most beautiful girl he has ever seen, and he wants her to know it.

Warnings: Smut (but like really soft smut🥹) and fluff because Martin? Duhhh

“Gotcha you sly bastard!” You cheer, as you finally get the last roller in your hair. You had a habit of getting it stuck, getting frustrated, and instead of gently taking it out, you just rip it out. With half of your hair. Oh well.

You were heading out to lunch with a few friends, and you had the afternoon free (finally) from University. Getting a little glammed up wouldn’t hurt.

Legs crossed, a hot-water bottle draped between your thighs. You can already seen the red patch on your legs from where the heat contrasted the coolness of the London February’s.

Taking a sip of water, and fanning your face, why work out when you can put rollers in your hair? You reach over, hoping you’ll be able to grab your makeup bag without moving, knowing that if you do, you’ll get that weird ‘i just moved now i’m absolutely freezing’ feeling. Grabbing the end of it, you tip the bag over.

Mid fall, you completely regret your decision. Hearing the bag plop on the floor, you cringe.

My Fenty bronzer better not have cracked. You think to yourself.

Lifting the bag, without getting up, scooting on your butt, you inspect the bag. Looks good so far.

A sigh of relief escapes your lips. If there was a fire you’d save the Fenty bronzer, then the Rare Beauty blush, then Martin, and then yourself. Priorities.

As you begin your skin prep, making sure everything is clean. You heard the door open, and a pair of shoes fall to the floor.

A smile stretches across your cheeks, as you apply your moisturiser.

“I’m home kjælighet!” You hear booming up into your shared room.

“Upstairs!” You shout back, your hands moving to find cotton pads as you tip some micellar water onto it, gently rubbing it into your skin.

As you do that, you hear feet stomping up the stairs, and about half way up, there’s a loud noise, with a voice following it. “I’m okay!”

Only Martin, the man who was silk with a football, weaving it through defender and defender, would fall up something so simple as stairs. He was a silly boy, but he was your silly boy.

He stumbled into the room, you checked to see if he had all four limbs. Arm, other arm, leg, other leg. Amazing.

“Did you fall?” You snigger, as his beautiful blue eyes meet yours. His hair a little messy from training. The sun hitting him perfectly. You were one lucky girl.

“Fall for you? Absolutely.” He stated, as he pretends to faint, before sliding on his socks across the wooden floor, and landing beside you as he pulled you in for a hug, careful that he didn’t move your rollers.

Placing kisses all across your face, he pulled away, his tongue hanging out in disgust.

“You taste horrible.” He said, not really mad.

“It’s a gourmet fine wine.” You teased, holding up the bottle in front of him. He was quick to pull you in for another kiss. This one landing on the crown of your forehead, as you melted into his embrace.

Rubbing your hand slowly, he picked up random bits of your makeup.

“Does this all do something different or?” He asked, picking up two of the exact same products. Yes they were the same, but it was on deal. Well, it wasn’t actually on deal. You literally gaslighted yourself into thinking that, knowing you’d cringe if you ever looked at how much you spent in Sephora.

“No I just buy loads of the same stuff, of course it does different stuff.” You retorted. Picking up your primer, squeezing a few drops onto your hands before rubbing it onto your cheeks.

He admired how delicately your fingers moved across your face, and he couldn’t help but smile. God, this boy was in love.

“This is bronzer?” He questioned, his eyebrows peeking up at you as he held your contour stick. You couldn’t help but smile at the way he pronounced ‘bronzer’ his accent making it sound more like ‘bron-steer.’

“Close but no cigar, that’s contour baby.”

“Contour, bronzer. Tomato, Tomato. Same thing.” He huffed. He hated being wrong.

“Forward, right wing. Same thing.” You retorted. He’s explained, how many times? You’d lost count. But you still didn’t get the difference.

He grinned at the joke, and pulled you into him, tickling under your arms. You were a teenage giggling messing fit, as the beautiful boy teased you.

“Martin I have perfect aim of your balls. Let go.” You breathed out, exhausted from the wriggling and wiggling.

“Low blow. Literally.” He joked, making both of you roll on the ground with laughter.

He swore his cheeks were going to fall off from smiling, but your laugh was everything to him. He’d give up everything if he thought it would make you happy.

You two sat in a comfortable silence as he watched you prep your skin for makeup. As you carved out your eyebrows, he bit his lip.

“What do you want?” You teased.

“Can I do your makeup?” He asked.

“Absolutely!” You grinned. Normally, you wouldn’t let anyone touch your makeup, let alone your face, but Martin wasn’t just anybody.

“Well take a seat in the chair.” He joked, raising his eyebrows at you, as he glanced down to his lap.

“Well you behave?” You teased back, sitting down on his lap, his hands protectively finding their way to the small of you back, holding you in place.

“Of course I can. Now let’s get this started!”

As he pumped foundation onto your face, he stuck his tongue out in concentration as he began to dab it in with a brush.

“Martin baby, that’s the wrong end. Flip it round.” You said, feeling the stick prod into your gums.

“Oh did I hurt you?” He asked, his eyes searching yours for any discomfort.

“You’d give my orthodontist a heart attack if she thought you were sitting poking at my teeth.” You joked, as he laughed along. This time rubbing the foundation into your face with the soft part. Much better.

As he moved slowly along your face, careful not to hurt you, you leaned your neck the other way, as the tv caught your attention.

“Mhm eyes this way Skatten.” He scolded, as he used his free hand to pull you closer to him by your neck. You couldn’t lie, that erupted butterflies in your stomach, and the ache started between your legs.

“That’s better. I wanna see those pretty eyes, yeah?” He said, looking in your makeup bag, for what he thought was next. Powder.

This was going to be fun.

As Martin continued across your face, you suddenly didn’t care about going out with your friends. It would be a shitty move to cancel on them, but… coke on now! They’d cancel too if they seen the sight in front of you.

“I’m almost done!” He said, looking about for lipstick. He couldn’t seem to find it.

“Under your ass Martin.” You said, and he lifted himself up to see that the lipstick was in fact, under his ass.

“You could say it was, under my nose this whole time.” He joked, in a weird British accent. You’d watched Bond recently, and he was obsessed was speaking in a weird cryptic tone.

ouhhh i haven’t actually gotten to smell very many perfumes that i liked 😔 i truly mostly don’t like anything (at least out of the things i’ve gotten to smell which is all like. drugstore available stuff like no niche perfumery things which i rly do want to get into!) howeverrr… i do have some that i like:

5. fuckass lush honey i washed the kids LMFAO i really love it it’s my after-shower scent, doesn’t smell incredible upon first spritz but it develops into this gorgeous subtly sweet scent that i looove to go to sleep with. same goes for lush twilight but it’s a lavender scent so you’d hate it kfhskkd

makeup products well 🤭 i WOULD usually put l’oreal 24h matte foundation here prob as number one however i haven’t worn foundation in almost a full year now so!

1. fenty beauty gloss bombs yes they’re incredible yes they’re worth it. every single cent. i get one every time i travel somewhere w a Sephora LMAO i currently have fenty glow & fu$$y currently 💋

2. maybelline lifter gloss (currently own 5 tubes (moon, 2x silk, topaz, red flag and looking to get more i need one in every bag at every occasion. way cheaper but also way less thick/long lasting version of fenty)

3. maxfactor 2000 calories mascara in waterproof listen no matter how i flip it no matter which mascara i try (ive tried too faced, benefit, ysl, dior and soooo fawking ON) this one is just IT. the only one with such good separation and holding up a curl and lasting the entire day. my main girl always

4. nudestix! i have 3 shades rn (naughty n spice, bondi bae, in the nude) i use them depending on my mood for the day as blush & bronzer and they give such a beautiful sunkissed vibe i love them sm. longwearing too

5. maybelline age rewind (fuck you in advance teo) concealer in shade 5 brightener it’s so good stays all day doesn’t crease mwaaah mwah i also use it for spot concealing if i get spots 😌 gorgeous & cheap you gotta love it

I do a lot of work with makeup (just as a hobby) and I've actually gotten quite good at it, but the thing is I'm Irish so I'm pale af as are my family, and I've been wanting to try makeup for darker skin but tbh I have no idea how to do it or what the differences are (if they exist). Can I ask what your routine for doing makeup is?

not a rude question at all, i love makeup very much so this is a fun question tbh!

okay so a lot of people have different undertones/shades. it is something they didn’t know back in the day and it’s why a lotta celebs look kinda ashy/very pale.

ex:

then some ppl with darker complexions have a harder time matching a good foundation to their skin bc some brands don’t make foundation/makeup for their tones.

so i suggest color correctors. for example if a clients foundation is too yellow (which it is for many people w an olive undertone), then use a bit of blue to cancel it out.

some shades are too warm for darker skinned people and need to be neutralized. i used to think warmer foundations looked good on my until i used a bit of color correction and i got my perfect shade. And unfortunately it is liie that for a lot of girls w darker complexions.

Anothing thing is color correcting dark spots/undereyes. some ppl (aka younger me) think that using a ton of light concealer will fix hyperpigmentation/dark spots. WRONG!!!! it will just look really fucking ashy and gray. you gotta cancel it out with a peachy corrector. vid example

if u wanna use a concealer to cover spots, i suggest the nars soft matte pot concealer, but you gotta have an amazing shade match for it to look good. maybe not ideal for clients unless u get every shade and shadematch them on the spot. vid example

my absolute fav brand will forever be nars. they have amazing foundations, concealers and blushes. my fav products are: NARS light reflecting foundation and the NARS soft matte pot concealer, literally gives skin and feels so light on the skin. it’s like ur not even wesring anything even though u get a full coverage.

and i just wanna include some of my fav products 💗💗:

fav moisturizer: Embryolisse/ Weleda skin food

fav color correctors: the elf ones, they have every color u need

fav setting spray: charlotte tilbury, urban decay all nighter, both the glow and the regular matte one.

fav concealer: hourglass, nars and too faced born this way

fav blush: nars, hourglass and saie

fav setting powder: nothing beats the huda beauty one. literally nothing. huda powder plus too faced born this way concealer is a godly combo.

fav mascara: maybelline sky high or the telescopic one or the essence ones

fav bronzer: fenty/caia (amazing for darker skintones)

fav lip product: mac lip liner and fenty gloss💗 (some darker complexes need darker lipliners. try darkbrown or the shade chestnut)
