every time someone cries about bowie being an "awful stereotype" i lose several years of my lifespan... do people not realize that feminine gay men exist? just because theres a femgay in a media doesnt mean its automatically a poor portrayal. in fact, bowie was MANY things outside of his sexuality, allowing him to be his own character outside of his preferences. you shouldn't be pissing and shitting yourself just because someone draws bowie in a dress. if seeing that upsets you to that extent i think you yourself may be the problem.

I think one of the reasons drag kings aren’t as popular as drag queens, aside from the fact that straight women don’t like us, is that people are uncomfortable acknowledging masculinity as a performance. Like we as a society know that femininity is a performance, with its own costumes and rules.
