As soon as he entered the room, Heeseung knew he was in for a wild night. You had been teasing him all day with suggestive texts and photos. Although he had been trying to play it cool and act unfazed, he couldn't deny the growing anticipation in his stomach.

You were sitting on the bed, dressed in one of his button-up shirts and a pair of lacy black panties. Your hair was in a messy bun, and a mischievous smile played on your lips.

'Hey, sweetheart,' Heeseung greeted, already feeling his heart race.

'Hey, baby,' you purred, patting the spot beside her on the bed. 'Come here.'

Heeseung eagerly walked over to her and sat on the bed, his eyes fixed on you. He could feel the heat already radiating off of you, and it only made him want you more.

You leaned in to kiss him but pulled back at the last second, leaving him breathless and wanting. 'I want you to lay down and let me take care of you tonight,' you said, your voice low and seductive.

Heeseung didn't need to be told twice. He lay back on the bed as you crawled on top of him, straddling his waist and sending shivers down his spine.

You began kissing down his neck, leaving a trail of fire in your wake. Heeseung could feel himself getting turned on already, his body responding to your touch.

'Fuck, baby,' he cursed, his hands gripping your waist tightly.

You smiled against his skin, knowing you had him right where you wanted. You continued to leave a trail of kisses down his chest, stopping to pay special attention to his sensitive nipples.

Heeseung moaned and arched his back, his hands running through your hair. 'Please, don't tease me,' he begged.

You chuckled and sat up, straddling his hips. You leaned down to capture his lips in a passionate kiss, your hands running up and down his chest and causing him to shudder with pleasure.

As you kissed, Heeseung could feel himself getting lost in the sensation. He knew you were purposely trying to overstimulate him, and he couldn't help but love every minute of it.

You pulled away from the kiss and sat up, a mischievous glint in your eye. 'I want to try something new tonight,' you said, reaching over to the nightstand and grabbing a small bottle of lube.

Heeseung raised an eyebrow but didn't protest as you poured a generous amount onto your hand. You began stroking him slowly, your eyes locked on his.

'Shit,' Heeseung moaned, his body responding instantly to your touch.

You continued to stroke him, increasing the pace and pressure. Heeseung could feel himself getting closer and closer to the edge. Just as he was about to come, you stopped and leaned down to whisper in his ear.

'Tell me, who makes you feel this good?' you asked, your voice dripping with seduction.

'You do,' Heeseung moaned, his body trembling with pleasure.

You smiled and leaned back up to kiss him, your hand still stroking him slowly and expertly. Heeseung could feel himself getting lost in the sensation, his mind foggy with pleasure.

With one final stroke, he cried out and came, his body shaking with the intensity of it. You continued to stroke him until he was spent, then you leaned down to kiss him again, your hands running through his hair.

'You're amazing,' Heeseung whispered against your lips.

'So are you, baby,' you replied, a satisfied smile on your face.

She led Chizuru further into the shrine, the torii gates burned a deep red-orange in the light of the setting sun.

“My father’s here?” Chizuru was saying, head craning to look around at the gates and the darkening vegetation of the mountain beyond them.

“That’s not the reason I brought you here.” Kaoru spared a withering glance over her shoulder. Kodo never deserved such loyalty.

“Then why did you bring me?” Chizuru drew back warily. “You said it had something to do with my father.”

Kaoru faced her fully and her gaze slowly swept over her sister, lingering on the worn kimono and hakama, her shaggy hair bound back with cords. Chizuru shifted beneath her scrutiny.

“Yukimura Kodo is dead.”

Her sister sagged against a pillar, her eyes wide and stricken. “N-No, that can’t… I would have known—“ Kaoru let the silence fill in between them, birds whooping and chittering in the mountain around them. Chizuru’s gaze was glassy when she looked up again. “How—How did he die?” she demanded.

“He betrayed me, just like he betrayed you. And traitors twice over are to be killed.” Fury washed through her, the brown of her eyes melting to gold for a terrifying second. What Yukimura Kodo had done was destroy the very name he’d tried to protect—in his way. And Kaoru had been glad to end him for that.

Chizuru shrank back but there was some kind of understanding in her expression. “…You killed him? Why—I can’t make excuses for what he did, but he was my father—“

So she did know what he’d done. Kaoru’s eyes narrowed.

“Kodo was never your father. Our father.” Her gaze bored into Chizuru, willing her to understand the full significance of the situation.

“Our…” Chizuru stared at her. “No.”

Sakura-patterned kimono rustled as Kaoru stepped closer. “We were both small when our village was destroyed. But you remember the flames, the screams. I know you do. I do.”

Chizuru looked her through eyes hazed with half-forgotten memories that she perhaps had decided over the years were nothing more than childhood nightmares. “You… you let go of my hand.”

The only indication that her words struck Kaoru was a slight narrowing of golden-brown eyes. “We were separated.”

“No, you let go of my hand! You left me behind!” The pieces were finally clicking into place, after over a decade of distant forgetfulness.

Twilight was beginning to descend, soothing darkness after the blaze of the sunset. Kaoru drew Daitsuren and held it up to where they both could see.

“We are two halves of a whole.” Her gaze dropped to Shotsuren, nestled against her sister’s ribs. “Two blades of the same daisho. We were never meant to be separated.”

“Then why were we? Why did you leave me behind? You could have come back.” Chizuru looked near tears but her determination remained firm. She would get the answers she had been denied her whole life.

“I thought you were dead, little sister.” Kaoru wasn’t sure what the soft feeling in her chest was, she’d been on her own for too long. But seeing her sister, knowing she now knew what Kaoru did— “Kodo hid you very well indeed. And it’s protected you for this long. But there are others who are on the hunt for women like us.”

Chizuru’s eyes swam with confusion. “Kazama said something the same. About pure blooded oni women.”

“He would know,” she bit out. “Now that he knows about you, there is no safe place for you. Not until you learn how to protect yourself or he’s dead.”

Chizuru was growing more and more anxious. “The Shinsengumi said they would—”

She caught Chizuru’s chin in tight fingers. “Oh, little sister. Don’t you understand?” Her rose-stained lips curled into a bitter smile. “He will have a bride, willing or not. If not me, then you. Do not think he will stop because you have such loyal watchdogs. They are mere distractions to one such as him.”

“How do you know?”

“He is a Kazama.” She spat the name. “He knows only decadence and brutality. His family was allies with ours, did you know? And when we were betrayed, the Kazama never came. They left us, Chizuru. And now he wants to take what’s left.”

“W—Why are you telling me all this?”

“Because you need to know.” Kaoru glanced around at their surroundings, the delicate flicker of fireflies beginning to emerge. It was deceptive, this peaceful serenity. “I can’t get involved the way I want, but I will do what I can to protect you, little sister.”

She felt a hand on her sleeve and looked to find Chizuru’s eyes on her, big and painfully wistful.

“I wish—I’m glad to know I’m not completely alone. But together I think we can fight Kazama—and win.”

Her naive little sister. But Chizuru’s defiant hope was something she had not had since she was a child. Painted lips curled into an almost-smile, unaccustomed to anything other than bitter smirks. “I think… we will.”
