✦ lots of love for these two and i love writing for them!! i like to think of you guys as a found family! <3 i hope these are okay!!

✦ The first time you made yourself known as a fighter class, Mickbell immediately knew where he was going to hide during battles from now on. When he (and Kuro, since he made sure to drag him along) found out you were great to hide behind, your protectiveness immediately kicked in.

✦ It didn’t help that you were already protective of both the half-foot and Kuro, always making sure they were safe and out of harm’s way while you did the brunt of the physical work. In awe of just how tough you were when it came to combat, Mick knew he had to get you on his side. (Not that he had to do much work in doing so.)

✦ To say you were smitten with the duo was an understatement. You found yourself clinging to Mickbell when put in any kind of social situation, which would make his chest swell with pride a bit. Especially now that he had both you and Kuro to pick him up and carry him. You were much more cuddly and handsy with him though, which would definitely cause him to sputter out a few flustered words for sure.

✦ Kuro was given lots of attention too. You couldn’t help but want to make sure he was getting enough food like Mick, which he was more than happy about. Giving both of them pats on the head once getting them to safety was routine, and Mick found himself craving more and more of your affections.

✦ Anytime you felt they’d be in danger, you immediately stood your ground, ushering them behind you or even making sure to carry them off to safety like said before. When it came to their wellbeing, you weren’t afraid to crack a few skulls (or other bones, lol.) The rest of Kabru’s party was more than accepting of letting you settle things when it came to your two guys, and grew used to your protectiveness over time.

✦ You knew of Mickbell’s street smarts and past, letting him do most of the talking when it came down to it. It was rather a sight to see when you’d step behind him and Kuro, allowing him to speak for you. When it came to crowds and lots of people, you definitely clung to him, even going as far as to hold him as you walked. (Mickbell didn’t mind this in the least bit. I like to imagine when it comes to you, he’d like to be held and doted on.)

✦ Your height as a tall-man kept you protecting them when needed, but always keeping your guard up. One day, Kabru even pointed out the height difference and relationship, rather amused with it.

— Mick puffed out his chest, hands on his hips in pride. “She and Kuro always have my back! If you think about it, I’m the brains, and they’re like my brawn!”

Despite his words, you couldn’t help but softly giggle, scooping him up after he spoke. You even reached out a hand to Kuro, scratching his head with a sweet smile. “Yeah, you’re my guys. It’s my job to look out for both of you.”

That definitely made him happy, if evident from the rosy glow on his cheeks and even the pleased look on Kuro’s face. You were more than content in fighting tooth and nail for them, making sure they were well aware that you always had them in mind.

✦ You even made sure to sleep beside them, just in case something happened and they needed you. You weren’t worried about Kuro as much as you were about Mickbell, but you had such a soft spot for them both that your protectiveness knew no bounds.

✦ It was safe to say that you had made your own small little family within the party, and both were more than happy with it. (And with you!)

what’s sunshine!readers lore? is she social media famous like the triplets?

definitely not social media famous, her following is around average; 1k on tiktok & about 500 followers on ig. she’s pretty content with the numbers, the idea of her accounts blowing up out of nowhere freaks her out which is why she’ll probably go private for a little bit after chris soft launches their relationship down the line. she’ll switch back to public maybe a week afterwards and evidently, the numbers will go up, it’s just something she’s gonna have to get used to. but i def see her limiting the comments on her posts so only her friends/people she follows are able to comment.

as far as her career, she works as a waitress at this beach bar & grill restaurant in beverly hills and babysits on the side for extra money !! she started off babysitting for different families but now she just babysits for this one family, the kids have really grown on her and the pay is really well.

“You’re gonna choke.”

“Shut up, I’ve got this,” Usopp said. At least, that’s what it sounded like muffled by the 20-odd octopus weiners shoved in his mouth. Zoro was sitting beside him, chin resting in his palm and eating his breakfast at a much more leisurely pace. He was also sitting a reasonable distance away to avoid getting hit with any stray weiners that might slip out. On Usopp’s other side, Robin was doing the same.

Usopp followed up with something about beating Luffy and Zoro lazily dragged his gaze across the table. Their captain was also stuffing his mouth, but with whole pancakes rather than weiners. He was also glaring at Usopp between stuffing more food in his large rubbery cheeks.

Zoro rolled his eye. “You’re both gonna choke.”

Usopp smacked his shoulder and made a noise of disagreement. Zoro took a sip of his coffee and went back to his breakfast. 

A moment later, Usopp slapped him again.

“Yeah yeah, I get it, you’re the Great Usopp and you’ve never lost a food stuffing contest.” His lips quirked as a thought occurred to him. “Or should I call you God Usopp now?” Usopp made a noise of disagreement and slapped him again. Zoro laughed.

He watched Usopp carefully add another weiner, his hand as steady as ever, out of the corner of his eye before taking another sip. Usopp made a noise of success. Next to Luffy, Franky laughed at something or other—maybe Usopp himself with how ridiculous he looked—and slapped the table. The little picnic table shook and Usopp made a noise like he was being strangled. 

With his free hand, Zoro gave him a good slap on the back—maybe too good with the way Usopp nearly faceplanted into the table, but it got the job done. Usopp turned to hunch over the side and made some truly pitiable sounds as he spit out his food. 

As soon as Usopp’s coughing had started to subside, he said, “Don’t say it.”

Zoro smirked. “Say what?”

Usopp swatted his side before bending over again. He was practically lying on the bench, his head pressed against Robin’s thigh and forearms hanging over the seat. Robin gave him two pats on his hair before saying something vaguely morbid. Usopp shivered just as Franky laughed again.

Zoro picked up his mug again. Usopp looked comfy down there. He wanted to lay down and nap with him. Unfortuantely, the seat was far too small and Robin wouldn’t tolerate two people on her leg, so he settled for rubbing circles in Usopp’s calf.

A tiger mink, one of the ones that had brought their breakfast, was passing behind them. She had an empty tray in one hand. Zoro watched with a curious eye before stiffening at her other hand reaching for Usopp. 

In one swift movement, he was dangling the mink by her shirt collar and glaring into her startled eyes. The tray fell with a clatter.

“Don’t touch him.”

The surrounding chatter from his crew—and, he supposed, the other minks—died down. He could feel stares at the back of his head. Something—someone familiar tugged at the hem of his shirt.

He glared at the mink until she nodded frantically, then dropped her. She landed gracefully on her feet, though she immediately stumbled when backing away. Huh, he supposed those old sayings about cats had some merit.

“Zoro,” came a tired, irritated voice. There was a slap to the back of his head and he hissed out of reflex. The hand returned, running through his hair lightly and he had to fight back a content sigh. Then his head was jerked down into a bow.

“Amazing,” Brook said quietly. “You’d think he wouldn’t fall for that by now.”

Zoro made a mental note to kill Brook later.

“I am very deeply sorry for this idiot,” Usopp started, the routine speech making Zoro grind his teeth. He half paid attention as Usopp said the same shtick as usual, a distant feeling of something wet on his hand.

“Ah,” he said, staring at the little white splinters in his hand. He forgot about the coffee.

“Don’t interrupt—Zoro.” Somehow Usopp’s voice was more irritated. He turned back to the tiger mink—who was rather calm for someone Zoro had just threatened—and wrapped up the apology speech before excusing himself to look at Zoro’s hand. 

By the end of it, the tiger mink looked bewildered by whatever Usopp had made up about him and grabbed their tray before leaving. Their crewmates went back to their breakfast, talking as if nothing had happened. Usopp tugged Zoro back down to his seat and Zoro kept his eye averted. 

Usopp sighed, digging around in his bag. “You’re something else, you know that?”

“It’s not that bad,” he said.

“I’m not talking about your hand.”

Zoro didn’t say anything for a long moment. Usopp pulled out a pair of tweezers and held his hand gently. The other minks and pirates started talking again, although quieter than their crewmates. Zoro stubbornly waited until Usopp pulled the last splinter. 

“...I’m not overprotective,” he eventually grumbled. “I’m keeping an eye out.”

“Uh huh.” He frowned harder. “Aww c’mon don’t pout.” His frowned eased and loosened as Usopp leaned forward to peck him on the lips. “I appreciate you looking out for me, okay? Just please learn to lighten up.”

His frown returned. “You shouldn’t be so trusting.”

Usopp huffed. “You should be more trusting.”

He narrowed his eye. “Whiskey Peak.”

Usopp threw his head back with a groan. “That was one time! And the others fell for it too!”

“Uh huh,” Zoro said, mimicking Usopp’s voice.

Usopp swatted him with a mumbled, “Shut up.” His brows were furrowed, a harsh frown on his face as he stared intently at the small cuts on Zoro’s hand.

Zoro slid his fingers into Usopp’s, intertwining their hands. He tugged them up to his lips and pressed a kiss to Usopp’s wrist, to his pulse point. His gaze stayed on Usopp, steady and imploring.

Usopp sighed, the sound resigned. Fond. “I know,” he said softly, a smile curling his lips. “I love you too.”

so i've tried planning my fics a couple of different ways, but the process that i find to be the most successful (for me anyway!!) is planning very little... but also not too little? LOL

i start with an idea, and from there i start writing out (on a doc or a piece of paper works! i use paper because scribbling and hand writing just helps my brain work hehe) my ideas for the story like how the characters will meet, their relationship, how it'll develop, what conflict(s) may occur, etc... basically anything IMPORTANT—and from then on i determine how many chapters + how much i want to write for this fic as well as what kind of fic it'll be (traditionally written, smau, letterfic).

once i figure out the amount of chapters, i then like to figure out which chapters will be the most important in regards to the plot!! i personally don't like planning out the entire chapter/story as i like to kind of go with a flow. i discovered that i have more fun writing freely than i do planning out too much (i also lose motivation quicker if i plan it all out... that may just be a me thing haha). but to make sure i stay on track with the story, i write down one essential event in the chapter for the plot!! (+ i also like to name the chapters when i have a solid for-sure plot... but sometimes ill switch it up and change the names LOL) for example, in forget-me-nots ch 03. i only planned that i would mention flowers in regards to his mothers garden, the rest of the chapter i figured out as i wrote. i try not to plan so much because i find that the story changes and adapts as my ideas for it grow. as a writer, i believe that what's most important is that you enjoy what you're making!! your process doesn't have to look like mine or any other authors, just make sure you're having fun!!!

it actually has a lot of funny symbolism :3 cricket sounds are usually considered background noise, which ties into vanessa's role in the company. she tries to bring up the fact that mers are intelligent to fazco/ash and is ignored/dismissed numerous times. aka is treated as background noise!

crickets can also be infected by horsehair worms! horsehair worms take over their brain and eventually cause them to jump into a source of water, like the mer DNA did with vanessa :3

hi would love to hear abt the madashu wip if youre up for it!! finished tale of antiques recently and theyve been in my brain a lot <3

>:3 so i have actually posted a little peak at it on my writing bloggggg here but the idea is that shu is a reaper who helps children along to the afterlife because nobody really wants to do it and he died relatively young and knows how terrifying it is and doesn't want to repeat that for other children. he tries to visit a few times before the child actually dies so they know who he is and trust him and in the fic, Maguro is sick and they don't know if she's gonna make it. Reapers generally know when people will die but they can still be taken by surprise via illness and natural disaster. they aren't perfect but they have a general idea on these things yeah? so he visits Maguro and hopes to build a bit of raport with her and he does but. On the second visit is when he meets little Madara who can see him (despite Shu thinking this kid isn't marked for death. Little does he know.) and they have a standoff in the hospital room and Madara can actually touch Shu which is not normal. I have moreeeee planned between that incident and the ending (where it turns out Madara has been making a deal with some other deity/spirit to take his own life force and transfer it to Maguro so she can live and Shu ends up escorting him to the afterlife and Madara becomes a reaper and... that's where I've got planned).

SO SORRY for the big paragraph but I got really excited and I should work on this again amspfioajs. I just moved so maybe tomorrow I'll work on it....
