watch me end up making a superdad au coz of WTNS

because!!! because i was thinking about how funny it is that Bruce's first two kids (Dick and Danny) would be superman fans, and how funny it would be if that influenced his opinion on Superman when they first met. And then I got to picking that apart, and how Danny's opinion and feelings on Superman would have the bigger impact on Bruce than Dick, since Dick's admiration for Superman (presumably) comes from the standard little kid "he's an alien and he can FLY" (and flying graysons) stuff. Which, while very very cute, is easy to ignore and disallow swaying feelings on.

But DANNY? It's not the same. While part of Danny's admiration comes from the same "holy shit he's an alien and can fly thats so COOL" vein, it also comes from a place of feeling deeply relatable to him. Both he and Superman were/are perceived as incredibly powerful, deeply dangerous creatures that are nigh impossible to stop, they have a handful of powers that are similar to one another, and they are (one of) the only ones of their kind. Superman is (one of) the last Kryptonian, Danny is (one of) the only Liminal in existence, and they might not be the same species but the principle remains the same and they're in the same boat.

As a result, Danny would just, god, he'd find so much relation in that. And yeah they're not the same but Superman would make him feel just a little less alone, a little more seen, and he'd find so much comfort in that.

And Bruce, by the time he meets Superman, would know by then about Danny's powers and his experiences and his time as Phantom and as a Liminal. And it's easy to ignore your kid's admiration for another Superhero when it stems from a place of plain hero worship or simple appreciation. It's harder to ignore it when your kid admires a Superhero because they make them feel seen and relate to them on a level you can't reach them on.

When that's the reason, how could he not think differently about Superman? When, by then, he's seen the scars left on Danny's body from all of his fights; when he's seen him cry and break down over never being able to fly again thanks to the blood blossom poison; when he's heard all about the struggles he faced with his powers, the fear he had about being found out, the fear he had when he was first developing them; and how he was ostracized by his city for his efforts just because he wasn't human, despite how much he was just trying to help.

How could he not look at Superman when they first meet, mask-to-mask, and have a little voice in the back of his mind go: 'my kid is a lot like you'

Ghoul

CC-1313 I Formerly Commander Jenot of Battalion 331st (destroyed)

Currently leading Special Cloneforce Hellhounds

Backstory

Upbringing

CC-1313 was raised and trained to eventually become a Clone Comander for the GAR. The majority of his childhood years were spend with his batch brothers and fellow soon to be Commanders Fox and Wolffe to which he remained a close bond of brotherhood even after the tragedy of Toydaria and his fall into absolute disloyalty of the GAR and the Republic. During this time he still used the name Jenot.

Tragedy of Toydaria

Jenot and the 331st served under Pong Krell for the first few months of the war. Even though the 331st was a very skilled and sturdy battillion it suffered great loses under the reckless and uncaring lead of the Jedi General. Shrinking it down to half it's size in the span of only three months.

While still unshaken in his loyality to the GAR and the Republic Jenot couldn't help to develop doubts and distrust in his supiriours. Struggeling a lot to keep his ranks together and his men motivated.

Eventually the separatist launched a grand attack on Toydaria and even though Pong Krell was well aware that he hadn't the capacity to stand against it he still gave the order to engage - although not leading his men himself but calling in the Jedi Knight Uros Io who at this point just recently rejoined the Jedi Order and lacked any practical expirience on the battlefield. Even though General Io was an extremly skilled Jedi, she was of no use as a General in a dire situation like this. And even though she realised her short comings and let Jenot take charge it was apparent that with lacking men and gear this battle was one that couldn't be won.

They managed to hold the line for three weeks before the overpowering seperatist forces started to push them back. Jenot watched his men die like flies and was aware that it would be a shared fate. Being pushed back to the capital the last remaining men of the 331st were killed by an airstrike. A fate Jenot almost shared but escaped due to General Io keeping him alive long enough for the arriving reinforcements to evacuate them.

Recovery on Kamino

For his recovery Ghoul and a handful severly damaged other clones of his battilion were shipped to Kamino while General Io - who suffered from great injuries herself - was treated back at the Jedi Temple. Due to a missunderstanding only Jenot was actually treated on Kamino. His recovery the only one prioritised while the rest of his men were utilised as test subjects for kaminoan expiriments - all of them lethal.

Unable to move or talk or respond in any way Jenot had to wittness the rest of his loyal battilion perish and listening to the staff in charge festered an untamable rage and hatred for the GAR, the Jedi and the Republic. His trust and loyalty shattering for ever, turning him into the man he soon would become. Even though his life was spared due to General Io, he began to nurse a life long hatred of her. Blaming her orders for the inhumane deaths of his men.

During his time in recovery Jenot developed a habit of sneaking out of the medical wing in which he was treated. Seeking silent corners for himself where he could watch the see outside rage. It was in one of those fateful nights he found himself in the company of three clone cadets who had caught rumor about "dead clone walking" - a ghoul risen from the battlefield.

Jenot, unable to overcome his anger and pain- decided to show those unsuspecting kids the reality of war and the reality of what it meant to be a clone: being property and being exploited.

Little did he know that those three exact cadets would become his new squad only two years later.

Embracing the crude name whisperd behind his back, he decided to let Jenot die and embraced the man he had been beaten into - Ghoul.

A Dead Clone Walking

Even with the loss of his arm, fingers, hearing and lower face Ghoul recoverd exeptionally swift. Making no secret out of his newfound hatred for the GAR supiriors in charge intended to get him decommissioned. Plans that fell short due to General Io convincing the Jedi Order to extent protection over the clone commander.

And while Ghoul proved himself to be difficult to work with he was also exceptionally skilled. The decision was made that he would operate solo, taking on special tasks that where considered suicide missions. Whether he failed or not was relativley not important. If he succeeded the Republic had intel, if not they had one pesky clone less to worry about. While getting accostumed to his new prosthetics and regaining back his former strength Ghoul was shortly tasked with overseeing the training of Cloneforce 99. His battlefield expirience deemed highly valuable and wanted to be taught to the expirimental unit to better their chances of success later.

After Kamino

Ghoul spend his time with achiving the impossible. Retrieving whatever was asked off him. He was well aware that the missions picked out for him were exclusively lethal ones. Yet he returned every single time to spite the GAR. To make a point. He was avidence of what the war was actually. The ugly shadow of the Republic. And he wasn't to be silenced. During this time his mind spiraled deeper and deeper into rage. His opinions became borderline traiterous and he walked a very fine line of getting caught for them. It was also the time he dettached himself from the idea of clone brotherhood. Getting rejected in the truth he had lived by fellow soldiers and shuned out, being nothing but a ghost story for them Ghoul grew resentful. Usual loyalty and empathy clones reserved for eachothers died out in Ghoul. Isolating himself even further from others, going as far as questioning if the men he called his actual brothers saw him still as an equal - Saw Ghoul as an equal - or if they only tolerated him because of what they once had.

Becoming Human again

Being pressured by Wolffe to join him for a drink at the 79's Ghoul met Odessa, a Twilek bartender and refugee from Ryloth. Having no interest in making "friends" Ghoul didn't spare Odessa much mind, just as everybody else. But fate brought both of them back together over and over again, causing a presumed dead side of Ghoul to seek out connection again. Slowly falling in love with the gentle, bubbly Twilek back on Coruscant. Giving him an actual reason to come back. A newfound motivation to keep fighting. Not for the GAR, not for the Republic but for her. Falling helplessly in love with her.

Asking her for her hand only a year after only to almost die on a mission and going mission for months afterwards. Leaving a pregnat Odessa behind, unbeknown to him. Though luckily being offered the chance to return due to the unyielding loyalty of his new unit. His Hellhounds - Wizard, 2020 and Fang - who had accompinied him during the mission and kept searching for him after being seperated and eventually succeeding in tracking him down and bringing him back. Greatly injured but alive.

Order 66 and the aftermath

During Order 66 Ghoul was still recovering from his injuries. Allowing himself to spend some time with his wife and newborn child. It didn't take him long that with the fall of the Republic the time of clones was also limted. While during the Republic he had imunity granted due to the Jedi he was defenseless under this new Imperium. Determined to keep his family save Ghoul deserted and escaped the Imperiums graps just in time.

Settling on a small, unimportant planet in the outer rim where he and Odessa build a live for themselves. Around two years after the fall of the Republic, awaiting a second a child Ghoul was visited by Rex, Echo and an old friend Howzer. The three seeked support in their cause to save clones. Ghoul, while initially unwilling to help feeling resentful over the treatment he had reviced over telling the truth even before Order 66 still, eventually agreed to help after Howzer explained that his Hellhounds had fallen victim to the Imperium aswell and were held captive.

Though never fully part of Rex's and Echos clone rebellion, Ghoul often found himself helping out.

With the years passing Ghoul and Odessa had another two kids - teh youngest seemingly sensitive to the Force. Doing what he was best at, Ghoul spend his time building a Guild for Bounty Hunters. Most of them other clones but also his oldest son and daughter. Though the latter eventual leaving the family business to travel the universe alone.

Trivia

Jenot is the polish word for Raccon dog.

Ghoul is deaf and requires hearing aids. Odessa taught him Ryl sign language. He's fluent in basic sign language and Ryl sign language

Ghoul due to his lack of a real tongue can't taste regular food. Odessa makes him super spicy protein bars that he can take onto mission with him.

The tattoo on his right arm is Odessas Lekku pattern. He got it before he asked her to marry him.

Ghoul killed a stalker of Odessa without ever telling her. It also sparked his friendship with Halo - who was an accidental wittness and helped him dispose of the body.

Ghoul is the middle brother of the Vulpus Trio- Fox, Ghoul, Wolffe

His favorite colour is azure blue. It reminds him of Odessas eyes

The order of his children is Vahan, Tarkona, Reyk and Rha

Ghoul can understand Ryl but is very rocky when it comes to speaking it. His kids love to tease him with it.

His favorite drink is Oryxxian Catsblood. An alcoholic beverage that leaves a nice warm burn in his throat despite his prostethics

Ghoul was very proud of his beard and its one of the things he misses dearly since his injury.

Vahan and Tarkona are characterwise carbon copies of Ghoul, while Reyk and Rha resemble Odessa

Welcome to Monarch March/ Mobium March 2025! Previously, @puzzleshippinganonymous hosted a Mobium March event, however this year we decided to highlight both Monarchshipping and Mobiumshipping in a Shared Month Creative Challenge! The theme is "Light of My Life", in which different forms of light serve as inspirations for the prompts.

This theme is shared between both ships, but split into a "night" theme for Monarchshipping and a "day" theme for Mobiumshippping. While the whole month is dedicated to both ships, we also wanted to highlight two separate weeks dedicated to its respective ship, with unique prompts based on night and day themes.

I ...don't really know 😅

I draw them more as entertainment or random things, and while they appear in the main story videos, the fact that they're alive or are normal plushies would be a matter for the person

But for know i dont know yet

• why do the protagonists' plush forms coexist with them and why live together?

Simple (it isn't)

If you remember in Trading Faces, Rippen and Larry swapped bodies due to a portal failure

Something similar happened here, When Penn Sashi and Boone finished a mission in the Plush World, the same thing would happen, but instead of swapping bodies, what they did was create a duplicate of their plush forms with the appearance and personalities they had in the series and take them out of the portal along with the team in their normal forms (the original plushies from the Plush World are fine)

This also happened to Rippen and Larry, but instead of their baby forms, they were with two random characters who were near them

The cat: rippen 🐱

The elephant: larry 🐘

Initially, they are clearly confused and don't know what to do. Phillyps, in order not to jeopardize the secret of the portals and dimensions, as well as to avoid causing people to panic by seeing living stuffed animals, makes the smartest decision:

They each take care of the plushies just seconds after meeting them, without knowing if they are truly dangerous or not, and without their parents' consent 😀👍

ISNT THE GREAT PLAN EVER??!!😀

The dream team, in order not to lose their sanity (as Boone said and later being true ��🤣), decided that each one would be the main caretaker of each plushie based on their respective forms in the stuffed animal world and that each weekend it would be one's turn to take care of the three (later, much, much later, lol, when they start to get attached, they would exchange plushies for a short time and not so frequently)

● How did their parents react?

Their parents clearly weren't happy or convinced but they didn't have much choice either (the plishies used their ✨️✨️ charm ✨️✨️) each one reacts differently. Penn's parents were touched by the way the plushie existed, sashi's were worried about the cat not because he would hurt the plushie but the other way around!! 😰 (sashi plushie never hurt him, they're friends :3 the real sashi is the only person apart from thieves, villains, rippen and larry who is aggressive) and boone's parentswere equally delighted but when the plushie boone wanted to give him a hug he accidentally ran his dad's hair because of the stickers on his hands 😭😭😭

● MEANWHILE RIPPEN AND LARRY PLUSHIES!!

The same thing happened to them. taking care of their plushies forms, Larry was delighted 🥰 but rippen...

First he left it on the fish stick on a stick 😑

Plushie rippen followed him :3

Rippen tried to get rid of it by throwing it in a trash can 😮

Plushie rippen left there and followed him :3

Rippen threw it into the sea!! 😬

Plushie rippen knows how to swim well, he went out and followed him :3

RIPPEN FED UP!!! TIED HIM TO THE TRAIN TRACKS WITH CHAINS! 😨

Plushie rippen was easily untied because they were badly placed, it was arranged vertically so that the train's wheels wouldn't do anything to it, it came off the rails and followed him :3

When rippen got to his apartment he gave up and let him stay

Rippen:

● Now finally, how do the stuffed animals interact with their counterparts?

PENN PLUSHIE: with Penn he gets along mostly well, sometimes Penn gets irritated with his arrogant and conceited attitude (unlike the real one it's not that common) until he realizes that he is the same (he thinks it's his karma xd), with Boone he is the same, he is affectionate and when Boone is depressed or scared, he approaches him to hug him or just to be petted, he also goes to him when an arm or another part of his body falls off as usual, so that Boone can sew it up, with Sashi he is much more affectionate, he is always on his side, they play together, in general nice things 🥰 with rippen, the same as always lol, it bothers him, I try to play a joke on him (it didn't work), it drives him crazy etc

BOONE PLUSHIE: with boone they are very close, they understand each other well and it seems that boone knows what the plushie thinks or wants (although they do not speak the same language), he helps a lot at home surprisingly (initially as an apology for what happened with his father but with the passage of time and solving the problem now he does it only because he wants to), with penn it is the same but he is more direct when penn is wrong, normally he listens to him whether in everyday things, about sashi, his parents, problems, etc. just to accompany him and make him feel comfortable and he is also the main model (apart from sashi plushie) in his drawings and art, with sashi he was initially afraid of him and it was difficult for her to approach him without him running away, now they are friends and he knows that he is safe with her, she is not aggressive with him, she just looks at him with a furrowed eyebrow when he does something wrong as a warning, with rippen it may seem that he is indifferent but secretly he jokes with him and always gets away with it 😀

He is the most pacifist (neutral) of the plushies :3

SASHI PLUSHIE: with sashi… she is aggressive🔥 (not even real sashi knows why ) they are not friends but they tolerate each other and can at least coexist in a room for a long time, until they don't and they fight and you know when it is serious when the sashi plushie hits her in her weak spot, with boone she treats him well, she just stays there taking care of him, eating meatloaf (if they eat it they don't need it but they do), the most "sashi" thing she did was wake him up with slaps so he wouldn't be late to school she still does it when he woke up lol, with penn she is a love 🥰❤️❤️❤️ , she hugs him, protects him, is aware, takes care of him when he is sick, she even lets him press her music box (that is until he takes advantage of when she stop him) she is happy with him and penn finds it cute to see a mini version of his girlfriend but he is still careful not to provoke her because… I'm still sashi, with rippen….. he is still alive so it's something

RIPPEN PLUSHIE: with rippen they are always in conflict and the truth is rippen plushie prefers not to live with him but has no choice but both feel that loneliness and the other's company is not so bad (reason why the plushie followed him felt he would find company) and both have each other (neither will admit it) they also take turns on who will sleep with freddy but if it is a tired day plushie rippen steals him regardless of whether it was his turn or not :3 , with larry he is more affectionate than rippen (he even lets him pet him or dress him in funny outfits) he lets himself be loved by him 🥰, with the dream team they are initially surprised that rippen has his plush counterpart too, they are even a little kinder to him for being tender (he doesn't like him and no matter how hard he tries he can't get rid of their jokes, lifts, games etc) as said the stuffed animals are dangerous and so is he, but it is more like annoyance or annoyance that they have when he does that (very few but sometimes he just tries to play jokes on them but they accidentally get out of control) they don't hear it because unlike the real Rippen (at first glance) the plushie is a little more empathetic and sometimes (NOT ALWAYS) if he feels bad he's like a child Rippen

LARRY PLUSHIE: with real Larry they are great friends, he has his own bed, butler, merchandise in the gift shop, (no stuffed animals in case someone takes the original 😱) and he also loves Tony and he loves him, he uses him as transportation without mistreating him, he loves everyone especially Rippen (he will not admit it, but Rippen is fond of hi ) he even helps him in his activities as a teacher secretly and is less creepy than the real Larry (but sometimes he can do it, there nobody knows how he will act 😶) with the dream team he also loves them, he is their emotional support in less unexpected moments, you can even act as a therapist (even if they do not know what you say but they appreciate it and it makes them feel better) and sometimes he helps them with the pranks of their stuffed counterparts (he bores them with his meaningless stories)

● Plushie language!!!

And as a last fact (I have already told it many times) but they speak another language, they speak with squeaks like skeaks toys or the rain frog meme when squeaking, initially the dream team was surprised that they spoke like that, they thought they would speak like them, it is not until Phillyps explains to them that in most dimensions they have their own language and when they enter the bodies of the inhabitants they also speak and understand the language

My qualification for this is that I've been playing flute in concert Band for 5 years, and been in the top band for 4 years, im extremely qualified/hj

Enjolras: 2nd chair flutist. He's been playing flute since middle school and joined the top band freshman year. Jehan and him often go to each other houses to practice with each other. He gets really bad anxiety on concert day. Also did chorus, but only for a year before quitting. Incredibly good at playing by ear

Combeferre: the only Bassoonist in the band. Started playing bassoon freshman year and joined the top band sophomore year. He would also love to play viola, but he has too much on his schedule. Stays after school to practice, often with Courfeyrac and/or Enjolras. hears the "bassoon in German" jokes way too many times and is sick of it.

Courfeyrac: 1st chair trumpet and also the section leader in marching band. He started playing trumpet when he was really young and joined the top band freshman year. Him, Bossuet, and Bahorel stay after school a lot for brass sectional practices. Every time the band plays Sleigh Ride, he wears a silly horse mask when doing the horse whinny (like what this dude did)

Jean Prouvaire: first chair flutist. Started playing flute really young but only joined band their last year in middle school and joined the top band freshman year. Once stayed overnight at Enjolras' house to help him get down certain parts in Satirical Dances (that song is a nightmare). Puts a little Santa hat on their flute every winter concert (i recommend everyone to do this it's very funny and makes your instrument look very cute). Incredible at playing by ear

Bossuet: Tuba player that doubles on Trombone often. Started playing freshman year and joined the top band sophomore year. Did marching band for a bit but quit very early on. He messed up on his trombone solo once during MPA, and it haunts him since. Instrument gets so out of tune so often it's insane. He loves listening to music and just playing along with it, even if he doesn't know the notes

Joly: plays 3rd clarinet. They played a bit in elementary school and picked it up again freshmen year because Bossuet was joining the band, then joined the top band sophomore year. They're not the greatest clarinet players, but they're having a lot of fun, and that's all that matters. They love to look for sheet music of video game music they likes. They use the schools clarinet, so they clean it excessively before and after they use it. Sucks at playing by ear

(Just adding here, Musichette isn't in the band but in the string orchestra, and she plays cello!)

Feuilly: plays tenor sax. Started playing in the first year of middle school and joined the top band sophomore year. He plays tenor sax in the jazz band. Deep love for soul music and listen to a lot of older jazz. Him and Enjolras did a duet for solo and ensemble once. He would love to learn bass one day.

Bahorel: percussion. Started band freshman year. Really liked the idea of banging on shit and making a nice rhythm. Often, he gets in trouble for playing way too loud, but other than at hes pretty good at most percussion instruments....besides the triangle, somehow. He always wanted to play french horn when he was a kid.

Grantaire: honestly i was stuck figuring out what to make him play, then @ghost4tets mentioned on one of my post how they could see Grantaire playing oboe and thats actually so perfect, I can totally see that, especially because back in my middle school top band one of the oboist did not care about the band at all, and I think that's Grantaire in a way. He would join junior year, and no one has any idea how he even got in the band because he clearly never practices, which was odd to them bc he clearly seem to like music (gose on hours long rants about classical music). The main reason he joined is because he once heard Enjolras playing and thought it was the most beautiful thing he ever heard, and he wanted to hear more of it. Genuinely loves the people in the band, and the band likes him enough to keep him around (even though he's clearly not practicing at all)

Marius: 1st chair Oboist, played oboe a bit when he was younger and joined the top band junior year because courfeyrac told him it was a great way to meet others and a nice hobby to get into (plus the conductor was looking for a oboist who would actually learn and play the music). He has a huge crush on a certain violinist in the sting orchestra. Courfeyrac and him practice a lot after school.

Cosette: violinist in the string orchestra, started to play violin first year of middle school and joined the orchestra freshman year(there is no top string orchestra because there's only a mixed orchestra in the school) became really close friends with Musichette. Her and Enjolras (bc they will forever be twins in almost every au i make) love picking out songs they know and playing together. Very good at playing by ear. Has a crush on a certain oboist in the top band.

Eponine: isn't actually in the band but visits the band room almost every day after school, mostly to talk to Marius. Taught herself how to play piano and loves to play on it whenever she visits the band room. Even though she isn't actually a band member, the band still treats her like she is a part of it and loves her dearly

Notes:

We are leaning hard into the 80's here! None of that trying to modernize StEx they've been doing since the 90's. It doesn't work, and the hyper-80's...ness is one of the best things about StEx!

This is about 60% the 1984 original, so keep that in mind.

Dinah & Greaseball look most like the original Dinah and Greaseball. (Though Dinah's hair looks like this. I'll get to her costumes below.) Greaseball looks completely like Jeff Shankley's GB.

Most of the costumes look like the Broadway versions.

However, Pearl gets 3 costumes; her pants outfit from the '84 previews (but with white pants), followed by her sleek Broadway dress outfit (w/ Electra), and then the fluffy dress outfit (w/ GB).

Dinah has 2 costumes; the first one being more Broadway (but I dislike the leggings, so different ones), and then, when she pairs with Electra, she changes to an outfit that is similar to her OG outfit.

C.B.'s look is very similar to the original, except his pants are black, and he has his later hat.

Dinah & Greaseball banter a bit because "Incapable of feeding yourself, Greaseball?" Ohhh *chef's kiss* 2017 London Workshop did something right!

*Dinah & Greaseball get a couple's duet. It's a fun, cute, rock/80's pop mix song that touches on their love for each other and how they don't care about others' bullshit. ("Our Lips Are Sealed" kind of vibes, I suppose.)

Ashley and Duvay are sisters.

Greaseball pulls the girls during "Freight," like he originally did.

*Dinah gets a solo after "Pumping Iron" after the Sleepers talk their bullshit. It'd be about 3½ minutes long. If you've read my Dinah rants, you can get an idea of what it's about.

Greaseball, Bobo, and Espresso are part of the choreography during "Crazy" toward the end, racing around with Dinah, Ashley, and Buffy. (I promise this is FIRE in my head. Have faith. 🥺)

Dinah and C.B. have a duet. It's the Broadway version of There's Me combined with That's Me. (Dinah singing her solo part first.)

We actually acknowledge that Pearl is an asshole. But, like Greaseball, she learns and is working on herself by the end! 🙌🏽

Control loves the engines/coaches/freight, and they love him. He's just a bossy little kid, but they're also actin' up. (I'm open to Control being a girl.)
