This Is Based Off The Song Holding On Letting Go.

It had been a cold few weeks at Hogwarts during Hermiones second 7th year. She had still been healing from the previous years war. The only home she had left was at Hogwarts since her family was now in Australia and they had no clue who she was.

Hermione sat down in a local coffee shop to warm herself when a ding of the door caught her attention. A familiar blonde head had entered the shop ... Him.

Draco Bloody Malfoy

Hermione tried her best to avoid the blonde Slytherin but just her luck he spotted her. Him and his playboyish smirk.

”Hello Granger” He spoke before sitting down.

They spoke for what felt like ages. Catching up like old friends. She realized at this point on how much they actually did have in common.

Draco being the gentleman he actually was decided to walk her back to her private room that she had requested and gotten from headmistress McGonagall.

"So I’ve been meaning to ask you something...” Hermione spoke up standing in front of her door. “Of course ask away..” Draco said uncertain on what she was going to ask him since they basically talked hours on end.

“Why didn’t you tell Bellatrix or the others....” she paused for a second “About what you saw in those woods? Seeing Ron, Harry and I ...” She finally asked him “I mean you could’ve easily told and we would’ve been tracked and captured a lot sooner.” She explained to him moving a piece of hair behind her ear.

Draco hearing that question gave her a small smile “Because I didn’t want you to get captured.” He stated softly .

Hermione looked at him questioningly “But why though? I mean you hated me... Why me?”

She asked him confused, and he placed a hand on her cheek “Bloody hell..” he breathed out. “You’re the brightest witch of our era and you couldn’t figure this one thing out...” he chuckled looking into the witches beautiful brown eyes.

Hermiones breath got caught in her throat before she spoke again “What?” she asked him.

”This”

Draco then leaned in closing the distance between the two kissing her. In that moment Hermione didn’t know what to do except slowly kiss him back. The kiss only lasted a few seconds before he pulled away and said.

"Goodnight Mione.”

Hermione was left speechless when he walked away and then finally realized something.

They Were Holding On To Something & Letting Go Of The Past.

August First

A/N: -small story , nothing special at all, sorry its shorter than usually!-

Summary: its august 1st, aka girlfriend day, and you’re extremely excited, except when you find out that your boyfriend (Kenobi) forgot, or did he?

“Obi! Obi! Wake up!” You bounce excitedly on the bed, today was August first, aka girlfriend day, and since Obi and you had been dating for a little over six months you found it appropriate to celebrate.

“Obi!” You bounced again, accidentally landing on top of him, hearing him let out an “oomph” before opening his eyes and looking up at you. He was so beautiful.

“Darling..” you sighed, preparing yourself for another boring lecture about how you should not bounce on the bed, for the fifth time.

“I’m sorry baby, but this is important!!” You stuck out your bottom lip fake pouting untill he flicked your forehead to make you get off of him so he could sit up.

“Important? What’s so important about today?” You frowned at that, you literally had told Obi just yesterday about what special day it was today. You didn’t think he’d forget.

“Nevermind..” you mumbled getting off of the bed and grabbing your training robes from the hanger in the closet. “I should get going, I still have training today.” You saw your handsome boyfriend nod out of the corner of your eye as you left the room.

You never thought that Obi would forget today. Sure he had a lot of things going on but it still stung, especially when it was important to you. But it seemed that he just didn’t care.

“Obi! I’m back!” You said cheerfully walking back into the room you both shared, training had gone flawlessly and the Masters had let you get out early. “Obi?” You turned the corner to the small kitchen included in your suite to find Obi standing there with a cupcake and gift in his hands.

He chuckled as he saw your face light up, as you ran toward him. “Happy girlfriend day mesh’la.” He put down the two things so you could give him a proper hug, he hadn’t forgotten after all!

“Thank you so much!” You started to tear up again, but not from sadness. “I know you’ve been so busy with missions and I honestly didn’t think you’d remember..”

“Not remember what my darling love has been talking about for weeks now? Never.” He planted a gentle kiss to your forehead. “Open the gift.” He smiled gentle down at you, as you reached over and started to tear off the paper. It was a little black box with silver outlines on it.

“Obi, I don’t understand what is th-“ you stopped when you looked back over and saw him on one knee looking up at you, you almost dropped the box, which thankfully he took from your grasp and opened it to show the most beautifulest ring you had ever seen.

“Y/f/n will you do me the honor and privilege for me to call you my wife, and darling, until we both die..?” He looked at you with hope, with love, and adoribleness, so of course you had to say..

“Yes!!”
