i kinda messed up his wings on the drawing where he's sleeping (i used sleeping angel sculptures as references ok :P even i myself sensed something's wrong heh)

don't ask why the wings look the same from the inside and outside, they're like that bc of my style lol...

i want to hold him gently like a budgie or any other small and fragile tamed bird ^_^

You can give some tips for drawing folded bird wings?

For reference, this wings are extra limbs in back (under the muscles that hold their arms), so I don't know if they'll follow the normal birds logic (like, put wings under arms to rest them) or wherever the logic of "hold wings high all time" is.

(On my drawing: orange=primary, blue=secondary, green=coverts, pink=marginal coverts, purple=scapulars)

and here's a fresh example for you:

the exact proportions of wing to body are up to you, I've drawn rather small wings here. the longer they are, the more likely they'll touch the ground when folded, which can be solved a few different ways, like repositioning the wings or having your character bend forward.

I personally use the second option, because I enjoy fiddling with anatomy beyond standard human proportions. but it's entirely up to you and what you want for your character!

bunch of recent crowley studies + a few doodles from memory; sorting my wing ref folder made me wanna practice some less common poses/angles... so of course they all became God's Favourite Demon™. because he lives in my brain and hands and demands to be released

(listen I know that the wings are meant to be metaphysical/spiritual/etc,, but also. monsterpeople with realistic proportions doing natural sorts of movement will never not be fun lol)

Otherkin culture is being at a loss for solutions when your phantom wings (or any feathered area) are moulting, and you can't deal with the pinfeathers because they're not physical.

The desire to find a tiny hidey-hole and pluck until the itch is quelled, I know it well!
