Hi there can I please have headcanons for sylvain bernadetta yuri and dorothea with a deaf s/o who speaks with sign language and can read lips please and thank you very much I don't why but I can't help but imagine both sylvain and dorothea would try to flirt with the reader but then they'd ignore them on accident cause they can't hear lol 😭

Bernadetta

She does her best to learn sign language so she can speak with you. Honestly, talking to other people is so intimidating so she likes being able to use sign language instead.

Her only issue is that she flails her hands a lot when she's panicked and messes up on signing a bit (and then she panics because she messed up and really hopes she wasn't accidentally rude to you).

Can't help but worry for you. She knows you're strong since you're in the academy, but she's afraid that should an ambush happen or monsters show up or just something goes wrong, no one will be able to tell you in time and it scares her. You'll have to calm her down because she panics too easily over the "what if's".

Dorothea

She did pout a bit at you seemingly ignoring her the first time she tried flirting. When she found out you're deaf, then she does her best to apologize to you, having to repeat herself since she talked too fast the first time for you to read her lips.

Dorothea finds herself enjoying learning sign language with you. She's a bit saddened that you won't be able to hear her sing, but she still tries her best to describe the lyrics and tone to you.

Dorothea is staying by your side if you're on the battlefield with her. She doesn't particularly like fighting in the first place, so she'd like to be by your side and stay in the back or use some magic instead to fight. Of course, if you prefer fighting up close and personal then she's happy to throw some fire to enemies that try to hit blind spots.

Sylvain

He heard that there was a student that's deaf at the academy, but he didn't realize it was you. Honestly, was taking you ignoring him as you rejecting his constant flirting.

But then he stepped into your view and saw you get startled. Sylvain began apologizing and felt a bit like an idiot, but honestly, now that you're his S/O, it's a fun thing to think back to and laugh about.

Sylvain, of course, worries about you when it comes to training or should you have to be on the battlefield, but he also trusts you that you'll be okay. Or, at the very least, you know how to get yourself out of any situation that could occur. Just maybe try to stay close to him. You can ride on the back of his horse with him if you want.

Yuri

It was one of the times that he had gone to the academy just to roam around and gather information. He saw you in the distance signing to someone in a conversation. Yuri easily put two and two together, and he couldn't help but be intrigued.

Yuri hadn't meant to end up dating you when he approached you to learn about your situation, but he's not complaining now. He just makes sure you're able to read his lips when he teases you. Or he just does it with sign language since he likes seeing you respond with the facial reactions you give him.

Yuri prefers to stay on the sidelines or be sneaky when it comes to the battlefield, so he'll stay with you and make sure you're alright with him. You're his S/O so he has full confidence in you, but he still has some healing ready should you need it.

summary: dorothea likes you, but her feelings for edelgard and her alliance with the black eagles make the relationship between you two complicated

dorothea always had a little crush on edelgard, but when she met you, she thought she might've found someone to distract her from her feelings

the more time dorothea spent with you, the more genuine her feelings for you became and the less she thought about edelgard

though just when everything seemed to be going so well between you two, edelgard got between the two of you, with something neither of you could've expected

edelgard declared war and since dorothea, as well as the rest of the black eagles, fought on her side, dorothea suddenly became your enemy

for a few years, neither of you saw each other, as you remained with your house, while dorothea stayed with hers

though it was only a matter of time until you'd meet dorothea again…

the day the two of you reunited a grand battle was happening

you purposefully sought dorothea out, desperate to talk to her! 

it had been years since you last saw each other and you knew things had changed, but you refused to give up on her!

when you spotted her, she was fighting alongside edelgard, the two of them having each others back and being perfectly in sync

dorothea spotted you shortly after, your eyes meeting one another, until she turned towards edelgard again

and suddenly you realized that you couldn't compete with edelgard

perhaps you never really stood a chance against her and dorothea had always liked her more

but you didn't get the chance to ask her, instead retreating to your own team, swearing to yourself that you'd forget about dorothea! 

it would be best for both of you, if you forgot your time together…

Ok How would Dorothea reacting to having a younger sibling learning medicine from Manula and wanting to become a doctor?

Dorothea + Younger sibling reader becoming Manuela’s apprentice

Dorothea is super supportive of you wanting to work for Manuela! She also came to the officer’s academy to learn from her idol, so she was mostly in the same boat as you.

She helps you study for all of your exams, even letting you try some of your healing magic in her from time to time. Of course, this means you’re probably gonna have to help her on occasion as well.

Dorothea’s gonna be your biggest cheerleader. She always writes to your parents about how amazing you’re doing in your classes.

If you guys aren’t in the same house, she comes to your classroom constantly. It’s gotten to the point where sometimes Manuela forgets that you two are in separate houses.

You two are often put together when Manuela has her tutoring sessions. Although that has more to do with you guys being some of her best students than you being siblings.

Overall, she’s just so happy that you are doing what you wanted to do! You guys having the same mentor is just an added bonus for her.

The first time Dorothea calls you a good girl, she's joking around. "Aren't you a good girl Summoner." It was in regards to how much work you'd been doing for The Order of Heroes as of late. The phrase still makes your face feel hot, and knees slightly weak. You just hoped she didn't notice. She absolutely did.

The next time she uses it, is when you're both wandering the halls late. You've got a collection of documents in hand from varying sources, and her eyes zone in on them immediately. "Working too hard again I see." You try to explain that you just had a few things to prepare for a meeting tomorrow and then you were heading to bed. When you notice how there's a mischievous glint in her eyes. "No wonder that prince is so happy to have you, a good girl dedicated to his cause." She's saying it like that on purpose, you know it. But it doesn't stop you reacting similarly to the first time. "Try not to overwork yourself, alright? There's a lot of people who'd be upset if something happened to you." You're babbling a mindless response as she continues down the hall out of sight.

When she uses it again. She's got you all to herself. “Just relax, let someone else take care of you.” She cooed, curling her fingers underneath your robes to peel them away and anything else in her path, goading you to spread your legs apart, slipping her hand between your thighs. 

“Good girl,” she praises, need pulsing throughout your body from the words. A small whimper escaping you as her fingers tease outside of your entrance, only to gasp when she finally sliding them inside. “Poor Summoner, always working so hard. It’s a thankless job isn’t it?” She’s slowly starting to move the digits with each word. “Poor thing, don’t worry I’ll reward you for all your efforts.” Her praises continue with each thrust of fingers, occasionally angling the digits just to hear you cry out. 

And when you’re about to cum, hips rocking against her hand. She’s purposefully calls you a good girl again just to send you over the edge.

Waking up next to his s/o. He spent SO LONG alone, not just literally with the 5 years of war... he had friends but it still just wasn’t right... but now he has someone who swears up and down that they’ll never leave. He feels so loved. Nothing can top waking up every morning to seeing them and being reminded of that.

Felix

Felix loves a nice (scalding) hot steamy bath after a battle or particularly strenuous training. There’s just something about being able to sit back in the water and feel the water ease the tension from his muscles... bonus points if his s/o is there ;)

Dorothea

She certainly has an eye for beauty, particularly in flowers considering all the bouquets she has received. Despite all that, there’s just something different about flowers that grow in the cracks of concrete that always makes her smile.

of course she’s leading it - once they’ve found where you’re being held, she charges through all of the enemy soldiers, leaving no man standing

the second she spots you, you’re already in her arms. plan of attack be damned, she’s not letting you go any time soon

on the way back home, you ride on her horse with her arms around you, while she whispers about how sorry she is and about how she won’t let any harm come your way ever again

HUBERT

bold of them to lay a hand on the s/o of the hubert von vestra

his facial expressions don’t change but you can feel how absolutely seething he is. if you so much as look at him you’re dead

nobody can actually tell how upset he is, unless you’re that close to him - you can see the lines on his forehead and that the light in his eyes has disappeared

charges into the place you’re being held in with ten times more fervour than he’s ever had - everyone’s afraid of how into it he seems

the way he silently cries and apologises whilst he’s holding you tightly is enough to make everyone cry + they never question your relationship again

DOROTHEA

pretends that she’s doing perfectly fine but cries and weeps in front of edelgard that same night

cant cope knowing that you’re missing but she’s determined to get you back one way or another

barks orders at the soldiers sent out to get you, following them from behind & making sure that everything goes as planned

nobody is spared from her wrath. nobody.

cries for hours on end after you’re found, apologising for being an idiot & losing you

FERDINAND

also cries for a very long time until hubert smacks him & tells him to stop being such a baby

cries for a bit longer because of that but eventually realises that he needs to actually do something about it

did not follow the plan to retrieve you at all - ended up running off from the soldiers and trying to get you himself

once he finds you, he wraps you in the tightest embrace he’s ever given you & refuses to let go, silently crying into your shoulder

LINHARDT

nobody’s ever seen linhardt have this much emotion on his face… let alone anger

the pure rage in his eyes is enough to make even hubert quiver with fear, thus motivating everyone to hurry up and find you

your location is pinned down within hours because he’s finally decided to use all of his intelligence

doesn’t allow anyone to come near you other than himself, literally pushing down anyone who dares go against that

he was clingy before, but he’s even more clingy now - he doesn’t let you out of his room, tugging you back into bed every time you try to get up

CASPAR

caspar is normally one of the most cheerful members of the black eagles, and seeing him so downtrodden has everyone disturbed

wallows in his sadness for a little bit & then gets some random motivation to get up and save you in the middle of the night

somehow manages to find where you are and charges through all the guards, hurting himself in the process but never hesitating

he scoops you up in his arms, battered and bruised, like a true hero until eventually someone finds you both

be sure to assure him that he is your hero because he’s really embarrassed that he actually did all of that

PETRA

doesn’t even say anything once she gets the news. just charges out to find you with no plan whatsoever

she has to be dragged back in by like three people because she’s very strong willed… and just very strong

there isn’t much need for a whole search party, just a couple of other people to back her up - once petra puts her mind to it, she’ll knock down anyone in her way

runs with you in her arms, not slowing down for one second - even if you’re twice the size of her, she’ll carry you with complete ease

very fiercely glares at anyone who gets too close to you from thag moment onwards

BERNADETTA

she just screams. she has no idea what else she’s supposed to do so she just screams

wallows in her room for about a week until she finds that they’ve found you - then, she decides to get up and make an effort

this entire event gives her so much more confidence & she’s a lot less quiet after she gets to you

makes sure to let you know how worried she was, and about how sorry she is that she let you down

Dorothea x Male!Reader | First Date Fright

@aspergerhero requested a scenario of Dorothea x Male!Reader going to a haunted house, so I am here to deliver <3 I hope you enjoy this little imagine. If you want me to rewrite it, don't hesitate to let me know

Garreg Mach didn’t often have events outside of those reserved for the church (Archbishop Rhea didn’t particularly care for secular activities of any kind), but since the students had been doing so well in their studies, she and Seteth figured a proper reward was in order. With all the recent rumors about ghosts flooding around the monastery after the appearance of the Death Knight, the students had convinced the Archbishop to turn the monastery into a “haunted church” (Seteth wasn’t too fond of the idea, though…).

You’d never been much of a thrill seeker, finding the whispers of paranormal activity to be ridiculous at best. However, people didn’t go to haunted houses alone. They went with family, with friends, or with lovers.

You didn’t have a lover yet, but when Dorothea had asked you to accompany her through the “haunted hallways,”  that was simply an offer you couldn’t refuse.

Your knees were trembling with anticipation as Dorothea walked alongside you, hands wrapped gingerly around your arm. You had conjured up dozens of romantic scenarios in your mind: Dorothea clutching tight onto you when she got frightened, hugging you from behind as she ushered you to brave the terror first, hand holding onto yours as the two of you ran for the exit, riddled with fear. There was so much potential to be had tonight. You just hoped you wouldn’t screw it all up. 

“I’m surprised we managed to convince Seteth to allow us to set all of this up,” Dorothea said as the two of you entered into the first of the haunted hallways. “He’s usually so uptight. ‘Your studies and duties to the Church are the only things that matter.’ I understand where he’s coming from, but really. My beauty and voice won’t last forever! I need as many chances to meet all the potential suitors that I can get.”

“I don’t think there’s any changing Seteth, but I suppose it’s just a part of the job. He reports to the Archbishop, after all.” You briefly turned to meet Dorothea’s eyes, giving her a reassuring smile. “You don’t have to worry about getting older, Dorothea. You have a kind of beauty that never fades.”

The realization of what you said didn’t kick in until you spotted the blush dusting Dorothea’s cheeks which caused your own face to burn red. “I—! Um…I just meant that…you don’t gain anything by worrying…y-you’re fine as you are…” You slapped your hand against your forehead, cursing at your awkwardness. Maybe I should have stayed home…

Dorothea giggled at you as she gently removed the hand shielding your face. “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. It was a lovely compliment. Thank you.”

“S-Sure. Anytime.”

The farther you two ventured into the haunted hallway, the darker it became, dimly lit by low-burning sconces (probably a product of magic). You felt your chest tighten, but you steadied yourself. You weren’t about to let yourself get scared by a haunted house created by some random students. It couldn’t possibly be that frightening.

Dorothea appeared to be her usual easy-going self, but even you noticed how she seemed to shrink in the growing darkness. She’d never admit it, of course. She was always thinking of her reputation among the monastery’s eligible bachelors. And though she was brave and fierce on the battlefield, you caught a brief glance at the girl underneath—vulnerable and unsure, just like everyone else.

“Did they really have to make it so dark?” she sighed. “I know they’re going for the whole spook factor, but I can’t even see where I’m stepping. I’d prefer not to trip on my dress and fall flat on my face in front of a boy.”

“I guess they didn’t think about safety during the planning process.”

“Of course not. Leave it to the students to think with their mouths before their brains.”

You responded with a laugh, glad that the mood seemed to be getting lighter. You were right. There was nothing to be scared of. A group of kids couldn’t create something so horrifying—

“AHH!!!”

You nearly tripped over yourself at the sound of Dorothea’s scream. She gripped your arm until her knuckles turned white, her chest heaving as she stared down at the ground in front of her.

“Dorothea, what’s wrong?!”

“A…a body…there’s a body in front of me.”

“A body…?” You assumed the creepy atmosphere was just getting to her, but as you took another step forward, you spotted the silhouette of a hand, covered in blood. The hairs on the back of your neck stood on end as you pulled Dorothea closer to your side, taking in a nervous breath. 

“We have to be seeing things,” you reasoned. “Maybe someone’s using some kind of magical illusion.”

“But it’s a human hand…covered in blood! Someone’s just laying there! What if…?”

You didn’t want to think about what it might mean.

“Like I said, it’s probably just—” Then the body jumped up out of the darkness and you and Dorothea screamed. In an instant, you took Dorothea by the waist and ushered her behind you. Your hand hovered over your sword sheath, ready to strike at a moment’s notice. As the body walked closer and closer, you began to slowly pull out your weapon. Just wait for the right moment…wait…

Now!

You pulled your sword from your sheath and swung it in front of you, waiting for your finishing blow or a strike back. But instead of being met with retaliation, you were met with a girlish scream.

“What the heck, man?!”

The silhouette strolled into the candlelight to reveal Sylvain, covered in fake blood and tattered clothes. “Do you usually walk around haunted houses trying to fight with ghosts?”

You and Dorothea sighed in unison, and you promptly re-sheathed your sword. “It’s just you.”

“Yeah, ‘just me’ who you nearly killed!”

“I think most people would try to defend themselves against a dead person who suddenly regained life.”

“It’s a haunted house. Ugh, Seteth’s not gonna let us do this again if people are bringing weapons along.”

“I always have my sword on hand. It’s good to be prepared.”

“It’s also good not to be a total moron,” Dorothea chimed in, walking up and flicking Sylvain’s forehead. “Good thing my date has more common sense than you.”

“Dorothea…” Wait…date?

Without speaking another word, Dorothea grabbed your hand and began pulling you along the rest of the haunted hallway, eager to get away from Sylvain. 

The two of you continued your trek, hoping not to come across any more fake bodies. You knew haunted houses were supposed to have a fear factor, but you couldn’t stomach dead things. You’d just been expecting jumpscares or bats. Not Sylvain who was way too into his acting.

“I’m sorry about him,” Dorothea said, breaking the silence. “He’s always been like that.”

“Don’t worry about it,” you answered, a relieved smile on your face. “I’m just glad we weren’t in any danger.”

“I should be thanking you. You were ready to protect me at the smallest sign of danger. Most of the dates I’ve had would have run away screaming and left me to fend for myself. So, thank you.”

“Thanks really isn’t necessary,” you whispered, heat rising to your cheeks. Though you were still reeling from your encounter with an undead Sylvain, all you could focus on was the feeling of Dorothea’s hand in yours. Hers was so small and delicate compared to yours, her grip gentle but firm. She hadn’t let go of it yet despite the fact that you’d finally caught up with her pace.

“I know we’ve only known each other for a short time, and I doubt I’ve given off a good first impression with my reaction back there, but I like you.” Dorothea turned to meet your gaze, her eyes crinkling as she smiled. “You’re a good person. I hope you’d be willing to go out with me again. Maybe just not to a haunted house.”

This time you laughed, shaking your head but smiling all the while. “Yeah…maybe wasn’t the best idea for a first date.”

“It’s a good thing you’re cute. I’m willing to give you another chance.”

Your heart skipped a beat in your chest as you walked through the rest of the haunted hallway, Dorothea’s hand still clasped within your own.

Maybe the haunted house wasn’t so bad after all…

Summary: How they react to you meeting them in the goddess’s tower. 

༓Dorothea Arnault  Dorothea selects your avatar who would show up at the tower, she watches with excitement, waiting impatiently for your character to appear in front of her and talk to her because Dorothea knows that this scene is where the characters will share a special moment with the player. 

“Oh, this is where you are. I wanted to apologize for not getting a chance to dance with you. Can I be selfish to still ask for one?” 

Without hesitation Dorothea picks yes, not bothering to fight off a smile and blush after asking her. During the whole scene from beginning to end, Dorothea is giggling like a schoolgirl. The scene made her day so much better and whenever Dorothea remembered this moment, a smile always came to her face.

༓Ferdinand von Aegir  As soon as your character became a choice to show up in the tower, Ferdinand was beyond excited but texted both Edelgard and Hubert about the situation to show off first before he said yes. He doesn’t mean to skip through the ballroom dance because the art is beautiful, however, Ferdinand wanted to talk with you.

“I didn’t know you were up here. I was hoping to be alone after dealing with people, but I’m happy to see you. Ferdinand, I love being around you.”

Ferdinand inhaled so sharply that he ended up choking a little much to his embarrassment but thankfully no one was around to see it. His attention was back to you, staring at your word text as his cheeks got pinkish. Ferdinand doesn’t take a picture or text Edelgard and Hubert again, no he calls them to talk about it, neither of them can understand him because he is speaking a little too fast that all of the words are blurring together

༓Dedue Molinaro  He freezes up when he has the option to pick your character to spend time in the tower, not expecting you to show up because he didn’t think he got far in your support. But Dedue doesn’t want to miss this chance and starts to anxiously wait for you to show up.

“Are you here to gaze at the stars as well? It is a beautiful night, even more so when it’s with people that you like.”

Dedue’s hands are starting to sweat and freeze up once again, staring at the screen to make sure he isn’t seeing the text wrong, re-reading it. Dorothea

Doesn't know how she feels about being told her flirting is "shallow". She wants to find someone that can take care of her so she'll throw out lines and see who catches. Or she did before you ended up dating. There's really no facade, she just wants stability for the future.

Of course, Dorothea would like an emotional connection, but the time period is all about politics and political marriages and things like that. Actually liking whoever you marry isn't something she's going to strive for when it's easier to marry a best friend or someone she gets along with but doesn't completely know. She hopes it's different with you, it she's not going to pressure you for marriage.

She doesn't mind your sexuality, that's fine with her. You're her S/O so of course she genuinely likes you. Just don't judge her for what she's done and her beliefs. Judgemental people are one of the big things she doesn't tolerate.

Hilda

Thinks you're a bit uptight, honestly. You're her S/O and pretty to look at and she gets along with you, but you're uptight too. Let her live life how she wants and you can live yours.

I mean, she'll make compromises and won't deliberately do things to upset you. But she also doesn't want to be judged by you because she prefers to relax and let others do her work.

Also not a facade, she's not hiding anything. Anyone can easily see that she gets out of doing work. Sure, they might know it's because she doesn't want to be forced to live in her brother's shadow, but besides that, she's happy with what she's doing. And she'd appreciate you being supportive instead of saying she's hiding behind a facade or being shallow.

I feel like, how you ended up being his S/O is how the relationship is going to go. Because he will treat you just like the others he's dated unless you started as a friend to him first.

Calling him out as shallow will also get a better result if you're his friend first than if you're just another notch in his belt. He really would be so unimpressed if you called him out and reply with, "Yes, but you're dating me so what does that make you?" but if you start as his friend then he's more respectful with his response and will admit his flaws.

Sylvian prefers an emotional bond too, but he's the son of a noble and so he has a stupid duty to fulfill. He has a crest and knows people will use him for it, so he might as well go along with it. Or at least he did until he started dating you.

when you mentioned the last part, dorothea looked a little hurt

and after everything you said, it sounded like you were that person…

she would never admit it but Edelgard THRIVES off of physical affection

but she would never be the first to initiate the affection

since Edelgard is so busy, whenever the two of you do find the time to cuddle, it is the most intense and intimate experience known to man

she always says she wants to take charge and be the big spoon but in the end this girl just wants to be protected and you have no problem providing that for her

Dorothea ~

this girl will not stop touching you ever, but it never feels overwhelming

she always has a hand on your knee or a head on your shoulder reminding you that she’s there and reminding others you’re taken

she is most cuddly when it has been a long day for all of the black eagles so when you get back to her room she just legit tackles you to her bed and will not let go

she completely koalas onto you, with her legs and arms wrapped completely around you until you both fall into a deep and warm slumber

Bernadetta ~ 

Bern has two different affection modes: inside or outside

outside this cutie refuses to let you near her, not because she doesn’t want to but because she squeals at the sheer thought of being affectionate with you in public

sometimes she will just blush and hide her face when you look at her and smile

but inside oh boy this girl completely turns into a backpack

when you’re just chilling crocheting or reading together, she will literally be attached to you from behind no matter if you’re sitting, standing or laying down

this is because she refuses to let you look at her when you’re cuddling to keep you from seeing her beet red face but to make up for it she promises to whisper sweet nothings into your ears

Petra ~

not the biggest fan of affection, she doesn’t particularly see the value in it but for some reason you always end up in situations where she’s “protecting” you and you end up holding each other

no one really knows if it is an accident or if Petra is doing it on purpose but she is really most comfortable just being by your side

but every once and a while after either Petra or you have a near-death situation, she makes sure to have one hand on you at all times to keep you safe but it is really to ease her nerves of losing you

Edelgard- Acts of Service  

Edelgard knows that to walk a path alongside her is to go against all the odds. Trust, communication, and strength are standards that she sets for herself and those around her. Be that as it may, she also knows that these things do not come without work. If Edelgard cares for someone she will work to prove herself worthy. She will not bathe them in flattery, nor lavish them in expensive gifts to earn their favor. She wants them to take her as she is and will use her skills and connections to make it apparent that she is one they deserve. To show trust, Edelgard will offer her assistance to them if the request is within her power and limits. To show strength, she will walk her path on the frontlines. To show communication, she will listen to the voices of those by her side. While she does partake in banter, the exchange of presents, times of peace, etc. What Edelgard focuses on to show her affection is integrity, and perseverance. She makes it known that she’s in it for the long run, and that she will not just be your partner, but your other half.

 Hubert- Giving Gifts & Acts of Service

Even if Hubert tries to be genuine it’s often mistaken. He wasn’t necessarily born baby-faced or blessed with the charisma needed to make people like him. Being a naturally intimidating person isn’t something that he dislikes about himself (it’s very useful actually), but it can have its downsides. One of which is that any nonthreatening action he makes tends to get misinterpreted. When Hubert cares about someone he’s very indirect (except for with Edelgard. In that right he is very upfront while remaining within social bounds). He won’t correct anyone if they assume his kindness is out of ulterior motive, but he does try to keep any gentler actions under strict lock and key. Hence, why his way of expressing himself is through doing favors or through physical items. If he sees your workload is a bit too heavy-BOOM suddenly you’re taken off duty for a day. Your gear getting rusty? The next day it’s replaced.

Ferdinand- Physical touch & Words of Affirmation 

Ferdinand is a surprisingly affectionate person given how much he raves about ‘proper conduct’. He’s not shy of public displays both verbal and physical. It might be his upbringing that causes him to be more open, but it’s the delivery that makes it the Ferdinand experience. He’s the kind of person to tell someone there’re leaves in their hair or offer to help a child reach something on the top shelf. He doesn’t let his status hinder him from doing what he believes is right or back down from being an emotive person. If Ferdinand cares for someone, he lets them know, it’s as simple as that. If he wants to hold hands then he’ll ask to do so, and if he thinks they’re looking extra nice then he’ll vocalize it. He shares his dreams and aspirations with them, and in turn wants to learn theirs. He is also a bit more self-conscious of his naturally blunt mannerisms and will never leave any argument unresolved.

Linhardt- Quality Time, Acts of Service, & Words of Affirmation

Linhardt is a well-rounded individual who doesn’t favor one mere tactic- on the battlefield or in life. That, or putting too much effort into one aspect of a relationship is simply too bothersome for him. In other words, his affection is so blunt yet mystified that giving the bare minimum does wonders for him. He doesn’t force himself to spend time with people he doesn’t care for or doing things he doesn’t want to do. If he feels neutral towards someone then he won’t ignore their presence, and if he cares then he’ll put effort into the relationship. The stark difference in treatment alone makes his affection obvious. Small acts of aid, any kind of compliment, time spent together, etc. Linhardt doesn’t excel in any one area, but the fact that he chooses to initiate any of them is what proves that he cares. Look me in the eye and say that you wouldn’t quake if he canceled a nap to help you out. I dare you

 Caspar- Acts of Service & Physical Touch

Personal bubble, what? Social distance, who? Verbal filter, where? Caspar is as upfront with affection as he is with any other emotion. While he doesn’t dwell on his actions too much or investigate the finer details as most of the students do-it’s what makes things simple. If Caspar cares for someone then that’s it. He doesn’t want to make things awkward so he may not tell them upfront, but they always have his upmost support. He’s not adverse to physically expressing himself either, just nothing too sappy. Despite his confident gait the guy is easily embarrassed. High fives, side-hugs, big grins, are all things not uncommon. He’ll always have their back and will defend them with his life.

 Bernadetta- Quality Time

She appreciates her alone time, but the next best thing is to be alone together with someone she cares about. Bernadetta has trouble expressing herself in any other way other than giving her time. Speaking up or taking initiative takes a lot of courage out of her, so very rarely will she take the first step in developing relationships. She needs a cushion, and that cushion is time. The more she interacts with someone the easier it becomes for her to be honest with them. If she physically asks someone to stay or do an activity, then it means she views them with great fondness.

 Dorothea- Words of Affirmation & Physical Touch

She’s quite protective of the people she holds dear. Dorothea know that the world isn’t always a kind place, and sometimes can become a mother-hen when not told to tone things down. With each day filled with uncertainty, Dorothea likes to be the person anyone can come to with their issues and walk away without regret for spilling their guts. With savvy to parlor the most sugar-lipped bard, Dorothea can list the best qualities in people with no room for argument. She kills with kindness and sometimes with her magic on the side. When Dorothea cares for someone they become a daily part of her routine. She will always remember to do a wellness check or simply sit by their side at mealtime.

 Petra-Acts of Service & Physical Touch

The inability to communicate is frustrating. Imagine being tossed into a sea of people who couldn’t understand you, so you must learn their way of speaking. Imagine after countless hours of hard work and dedication, still not being able to express yourself like you want to. That’s how Petra feels most of the time. On pen and paper, she could outdo a scholar, but verbally she struggles. This in combination with the tight-knit way of showing fondness that she grew up with makes Petra a very physical person. She’s determined to learn and get her point across. When Petra cares for someone she asks them to help her. Love comes in pair with respect, so Petra will always ask for advice on how to improve or ask them to share stories of their life with her. In turn she will help them, and often offer to assist them with things they need. She works on creating a partnership of balance between them, and wants to gain their respect just as they have earned hers.
