In the summer of 1784 Eugene Anifas married his longtime sweetheart - Henrietta Otalbo.
As the only daughter of a local shepherd Joseph thought Eugene Anifas could marry someone of higher statue, but Eugene Anifas put his foot down very gently and persisted in getting engaged to her.
The wedding was held in early summer, with the Park home decorated with every sort of flower the family had managed to get their hands on.
And even if Joseph didn't agree with Henrietta being a "mere shepherdess", no one could deny that the bride was simply stunning on her wedding day.
It truly was a very happy day. The first wedding for one of the Park children, the addition of a sweet wife to the family.
And yet. And yet.
And yet as Théo watched the celebrations, she could feel a spiraling lump that had lived in her chest since the day of the engagement moving up into her throat.
Her eyes stung and she kept having to force herself to take calm, slow breaths.
In the end she couldn't contain it any longer, and she wandered away from the main party to seek relief in the mild summer darkness.
She wasn't entirely sure how she ended up there, but she found herself at the old bench that she had played around so much as a child and teen, and once there she finally sank down and began to cry.

A happier life for Henry VIII's children. Part 2.
Elizabeth was the second daughter of King Henry VIII of England and his second wife Anne Boleyn. When the girl was 3 years old, the king annulled the marriage to her mother. Henry sent Anne to a convent and forbade Anne to communicate with her daughter, and soon afterward married Jane Seymour. She developed a close relationship with her stepmother, brother and sister. In 1547, her father died and Elizabeth was finally able to meet her mother. The meeting between mother and daughter after years of separation was very touching. When Anne saw Elizabeth, she could not believe that this beautiful girl was her daughter. First they cried for a long time in each other's arms, and then they sat up all night talking. They had a lot to say to each other. So their meetings became more and more frequent, and Edward allowed his father's second wife to stay with Elizabeth. In 1557 Edward VI began to look for worthy suitors from Protestant countries, for the hand of his sister, and his choice fell on the eldest son of the King of Sweden, Prince Eric. In the king's opinion, this marriage was to strengthen the sympathy of his subjects for him. In 1558, the princess became the wife of the heir to the Swedish crown, and 2 years later they became King and Queen of Sweden. It is said that at their first meeting the prince was so enchanted by her beauty that he lost the power of speech. Their married life was strong and passionate. For her husband Elizabeth became the most important confidante, with whom he discussed many problems. Six children were born in the marriage:
Gustav II of Sweden (1559 - 1605) Not interested in politics and never wanted to be king. Overthrown and killed by conspirators, including his own son Charles. Husband of Maria of Austria. Father of 4 children: Charles IX, Ludwig, Frederick, Elizabeth.
Anne of Sweden (1560 - 1634) Countess of East Friesland. At the age of 18 she married her cousin Enno III. The marriage was a happy one for both spouses. They became the parents of 9 children: Edzard III, Sabina, Agnes, Johann, Gustav, Rudolf, Christina, Sophia, Christian.
Magnus of Sweden(1561 - 1619) In 1582 he married his cousin Mary of England. They had 4 children: Nils, Katharina, Gunilla, Arnold. Magnus was widowed in 1590. And in 1592 he married his mistress Maria Oberg, but before that he received from his elder brother-king and his mother a permission to remarry. From his second wife he had 6 children: Magdalena, Sven, Hokon, Valdemar, Ingeborga, Svante.
Johan of Sweden(1565 - 1630) From childhood Johan was interested in navigation and discoveries. Therefore, he spent most of his life traveling, exploring lands not previously known. He was never married, however he recognized 3 children: Brita, Lars, Eric. And upon his death, he left each child a generous inheritance.
Cecily of Sweden(1567 - 1634) Macgravine of Baden-Rodemachern. In 1583 became the wife of Edward Fortunatus They became the parents of 5 children: Christoph III, Cecily, Elizabeth, Ottilia, Herman. In 1603, her husband died and Cecily was offered remarriage
Virginia of Sweden(1570 - 1606) Duchess of Holstein-Hottorp, wife of Johann Adolf. Virginia was older than her husband by 5 years, but despite this their marriage was happy. They had 7 children: Frederick III, Elisabeth, Conrad, Dorothea, Gedviga, Albrecht and Augusta. The Duchess died of childbirth fever a week after the birth of the last child. After the death of his wife, Johann lived the remaining 10 years until his death as a widower.
In 1568, the queen returned briefly to England for her mother's funeral. In 1577, King Eric XIV of Sweden died, and Elizabeth mourned her husband's death bitterly. But fortunately for Elizabeth, she had her children and grandchildren by her side, who became the meaning of her life. In addition, the Queen Dowager actively influenced the policies of her eldest son, King Gustav II. Gustav, weak-willed and indecisive, was not interested in ruling the state. In fact, the kingdom was ruled by Elizabeth, which did not please her daughter-in-law. Because of this, the two women often conflicted with each other. In March 1603, the Queen Dowager of Sweden died. She was buried in Uppsala Cathedral next to her husband. And 2 years later Gustav II was overthrown and killed. Her grandson Charles became the next king of Sweden.

Arnold Louis Andrews and Dorothea Faith Cook married young and moved from Twinbrook, Mississippi to Chestnut Ridge, Nevada in the late 1870s. Soon after they welcomed their first daughter. They built a successful ranch together and Dorothea enjoyed being a mother. While her husband made business connections around town she volunteered with the church meeting the other wives of the town.
After welcoming their second daughter, Dorothea found she was unable to fall pregnant again, she had hoped for more children but was content with her two daughters. She dotted on them constantly and was thrilled when they were old enough to join her in the kitchen.
Rosalind Mae Andrews had a happy upbringing and adores her younger sister. She dreams of having a large family of her own. She's not as religious as her mother and sister but she never misses a service. She met Benjamin attending school at the school house, the two quickly became close.
Benjamin James Bell was born in the 1880s in Chestnut Ridge, his parents settled in the town the decade before. His mother died in childbirth leaving him and his father quite alone. His father dreamed of Benjamin one day inheriting the family business, he started teaching Benjamin as soon as he was old enough. He met Rosalind at the local schoolhouse and they quickly became friends. They started courting as teenagers, Benjamin knew from the very start of he relationship that the two were ment to be together. When he was a teenager his father contracted pneumonia and never recovered, leaving Benjamin an orphan. With the help of Rosalind, Benjamin successfully took over in his fathers absence.
Isadora Lynn Andrews has adoring parents and a wonderful older sister. She finds herself wishing one day to have a large family of her own. When shes not doing her chores she spends her time with friends. She and her best friend love to ride their horses together. She values her religion, participating in church choir and volunteering when available. first // next

Artist's Sketch of a Sparrow. Depicts a delicate sparrow perched on a slender branch.
The artist has captured the bird's essence with swift, flowing lines, showcasing its small, rounded body and distinctive beak.
The sparrow's feathers are suggested through light, feathery strokes, giving the impression of softness and movement in the breeze.
Its wings are subtly hinted at, slightly folded against its body, conveying a sense of calm and tranquility.
The eye, though simple in its design, exudes a sense of curiosity and liveliness, adding a spark to the otherwise understated sketch.
Overall, the artist has captured the essence of this small bird, portraying its beauty and grace through minimalist yet expressive lines.
Museum excavations, 1922-1923. Acquired in the division of finds, 1923.

During that time, she receives a news that the author of the book which was adapted for the screen 20 years ago where she play a main role and now in its remake, she’s doing another part, while a young sensation playing the main part. This is more like the evolution of cinema. The 20 years is too soon for her, while the cinema and its trend advanced rapidly. Precisely to say, the commercial films and young actors taking over the art films and true artists’ places respectively. If you at least 30 years old, you would get this film more than others. Because while I was growing up in the 90s, the cinema was so different. I’m not talking about the technology like computer graphics, but the story and how it was narrated for the screen. Now the science- fiction and dystopian themes taking over with the young audience and social media support. I think it was a quite meaningful film, particularly if you adore films like the recent evolution in cinema was so faster than ever. The negatives were, the film was too long, slow pace and too simple drama. The positives were, the actors and their performances, the locations, theme and some of the dialogues. Directed by a French filmmaker, this is an international project with a few guest appearances. Most of the film was set in the Alps. Totally different than what I was anticipating, but I still like, except in a few parts where I got bored for its weak development. So this is for the selected audience, that mean it will be appreciated by a very few and I’m kind of neutral with mostly in its favour. _6/10_ M...

Esfinge de Amenemhat III
Reino Medio, Dinastía 12, hacía 1860-1814 adC.
Granito gris.

Dear Charles Elias,
I prayed for your safe passage through this bitter winter every day, and it warms my heart that my prayers were answered.
I am so relieved to hear you found Theodore alive and well, and that you are settling in well to your new life!
I hope you manage to continue settling in well and that you may be able to make some friends in your new home.
You asked how we all have been here.
After the initial shock of your departure settled life has continued mostly unchanged.
Your siblings miss you dearly, and Joseph is as he always has been.
We celebrated Eugene Anifas' birthday recently.
To think he is now no longer a boy, but a young man!
As is tradition we held a large celebration with the entire family invited.
The party was attended by several relatives. My uncles Joseph and Vilhelm attended, as did several of your cousins.
Constantine was, of course, there. And even Rosalie managed to travel over with her two daughters for the occassion. It continues to astonish me the rate at which your many cousins grow. Beau is already a young man himself, and Rosalie's youngest - Greta - is now walking around all on her own!
Although, I will say that your absence from the celebrations was sorely felt by me and your siblings.
As for the man of the hour - Eugene Anifas looks more mature and respectable than ever.
He is as kind and gentle as he has always been, and his foray into adulthood has done little to lessen this. I do so desperately wish we could have seen his twin grow up with him, to know what he may have been, but I must not dwell on such matters.
As the party came to an end a young sheperdess stopped by to give Eugene Anifas a gift in person.
I am, of course, not a gossip, but I do believe I saw the faint stirrings of romance between the two.
Lord knows it is about time at least one of you find someone you fancy! Iliana Dorothea seems to have already dismissed half the village, and every letter Émile Gustaf sends revolves around his work and his studies.
Hopefully you may meet someone who catches your eye soon, so that I may feel some hope that I see one of you marry before I am old and grey.
Do keep writing to your dear old mother so that I may know you are well, and give my regards to Theodore.
With love,
Théodora Park 1783
P.S. I have included your new address in my latest letter to Émile Gustaf in the hopes that he may write to you soon.
