may i request “you love me? are you sure?” from the idiots to lovers prompt list for caspar, dimitri, sylvain and dedue from three houses?
“you love me? are you sure?”
Fandom: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Characters: Dimitri, Caspar, Dedue, Sylvain
Type of Request: Headcanons
Notes: This is very cute, I’m happy to do this!!
Tumblr media
Caspar
Completely taken aback when you confess your feelings towards him. He just didn’t see it coming at all and had no idea until you actually said something. No matter how obvious you might’ve been.
“you love me? are you sure?” He asks in disbelief because again, he had no idea! Don’t get me wrong, he’s happy but he needs to process this information first.
Immediately offers to take you on a date. He doesn’t really know of any good date ideas though, but he likes to spar so maybe you’d like to as well! Or you can watch him and he’ll try to look extra cool for you!
Has like zero experience with dating others and so he doesn’t really know what to do. He knows he’s beyond happy, but he’s clumsy. Caspar does make up for his inexperience with being very determined to be a good boyfriend for you.
Dedue
Raises an eyebrow when he hears your confession. It is... unusual. Your feelings towards him aren’t unwelcomed, but considering who he is, he didn’t think anyone would confess. Much less you.
“you love me? are you sure?” It’s direct and serious as he asks. You know what people say about him. He knows the whispers and harsh words that get spoken. Should you wish to pursue a relationship, they might turn towards you as well.
But if you truly mean what you say, he will take care of you. He will protect you with his life and make sure you know he loves you in return.
Dedue definitely doesn’t have experience with romance, but he’s blunt and has no hesitation with telling you his feelings and how he sees you. Should you ever question anything, know that he is quick to give you his own love and tell you every thought he has.
Dimitri
Dimitri freezes when he hears your confession. He’s received his fair share of them as being with him would be a good way to help someone’s status and house. But for you to confess to him...
“you love me? are you sure?” his voice is soft and gentle as if he’s trying not to scare you away in case you change your mind. He hopes that you won’t change your mind, but he also wants to make sure you actually mean this.
Definitely nervous as he also doesn’t have a lot of experience with being in relationships, but he promises to make you happy. You will be treated right and he’ll do his damnedest to never let you down.
Expect to get many trinkets and presents from him as a way to show his affection. He gets tongue tied around you easily and is still nervous about physical affection, so he hopes his gifts can help show his feelings while he learns how to treasure you.
Sylvain
Definitely wasn’t expecting you to confess to him. Sure, he’s had countless of girls (and some guys) confess feelings towards him which he gladly dated until they realized their mistake. But you?
“you love me? are you sure?” he has to ask just to make sure you’re in the right mindset. I mean you two are close and you know about all his experiences with others. Why would you want to be with someone like him??
For a split second, he wonders if it’s the crest. You just got close to him so you could eventually get his crest for your own sake. He shakes that thought away because you actually befriended him first and he knows you wouldn’t mess with him like that.
Sylvain wants to accept your confession, he really does. But he’s hurt a lot of others and so he’s afraid that he might hurt you too. So he’ll need some time to think, but he promises he’ll give you an answer.

poly relationship with caspar & ashe
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: ashe ubert x gn!reader x caspar von bergliez
tags: wholesome & silly fluff, polyamorous relationship, jealous!caspar (+overprotective), post-war domestic life (+ pet cat)
Tumblr media
caspar and ashe are both polar opposites, while also very similar when it comes to who they are deep down
both of your boyfriends are very caring people! they defend who they love with everything they have, but their methods vary regarding that
caspar is the type to punch first and ask questions later. it doesn't help that he's pretty jealous, so when he sees strangers talk to you, he often gets jealous and starts a fight with them!
ashe is always left picking up his mess and apologizing for caspar. ashe might be jealous too at times, but he's more so the type to tell men hitting on you to leave you alone and inform them that you're taken already
caspar and ashe work together quite well, which often surprises the two of them. but when it comes to you, they are great at working together, whether it's crafting presents for your birthday or an anniversary or simply planning a romantic evening together
most of your dates are only with one of the boys, with the exception of anniversaries, holidays or birthdays! for those occasions, the three of you do something romantic together!
while caspar and ashe get along, they are still ever so slightly jealous of each other. surprisingly, caspar never says a thing about it or lets his emotions show…
their little mutual jealousy isn't hurting the relationship, so even after years of dating, the two boys still get along!
after the war ends, the three of you start living in gaspard territory, after ashe inherited it. he might not be a noble, but caspar is one and occasionally helps ashe with the responsibilities that come with nobility
and not just that, but the three of you also end up adopting a cat, that you three used to take care of during your time at the monastery…

Then may I request (of course separate and platonic) sibling headcannons for Dimitri, Felix, Constance, Linhardt, Caspar, Yuri from Fire Emblem 3 houses (if that’s two many you can pick and choose)
Fódlan Sibling Headcannons
Series: Fire Emblem.
Characters: Dimitri, Felix, Constance, Linhardt, Caspar and Yuri.
Genre: Fluff.
Proofread: Yes.
Reader: Gender Neutral.
Notes: Apologies this took longer than it should have. Also I feel like Dimitri might be a little occ.
Tumblr media
Dimitri
Growing up together Dimitri had been your older brother. Naturally, this meant he would be the next King of Faerghus. He always had so many duties and had to be so serious and responsible!
This had been no fun for you whatsoever. Compared to Dimitri you didn't nearly have as many royal duties to attend to. You always had so much free time you had no idea what to do with it!
Of course, you would love to spend this time with Dimitri but of course, he was always busy. However, when Dimitri did have free time you made sure not to waste it! Whenever you did spend time with Dimitri it would be training together or having tea.
But you always wanted to do something more adventurous with him! Such as sneaking out of the royal place and exploring what was outside the place walls! Whether that be exploring the streets of the town or defeating a group of local bandits together.
This was much to your parent's dismay, however. As whenever they discovered you weren't in the place they would send guards to come bring you back. How annoying!
Of course, growing up you were also close with Dimitri's friends. Whenever you went to visit Felix, Ingrid, or Sylvain or they came to visit you. There was never a dull day to be had spending time together!
Felix
Oh, Felix how seriously he always was you swear it's almost like your brother could not smile or have fun! So you made it your mission to make your brother smile or laugh! All you had to do was find out what made him laugh or smile.
This leads you to pull many upon many pranks on your brother. Of course, he found this to be annoying but you swear you saw him crack a small smile sometimes. So it was working that lead you to keep pulling pranks on him!
Of course, pranks weren't the only thing that could make a person smile so this led to you telling multiple jokes to Felix! Of course, this first couple of times not even a grin or a chuckle came from your brother. But that's alright all you had to do was keep trying!
Eventually you finally did it a joke that made Felix laugh genuinely! You were so happy you ended up parading around the room. You ended up tripping and falling over which only made him laugh even more!
Felix was an extremely skilled swordsman you had seen his swordsmanship firsthand. Whether you liked or dislike training Felix would always train you on how to use a sword. So you could defend yourself in case he wasn't there to protect you. He may not show it much but Felix was happy to have you as his sibling.
Constance
"OHOHOHOH!" Whenever you heard that laughter it could only mean one thing. Your sister Constance has created a new spell and was going to show it to you immediately.
Not that you minded of course you were always interested in seeing the new spells your sister would come up with. Admittedly some of them were more useful than others but you always liked seeing them.
Of course, since you were Constance's sibling you were also quite skilled with magic. Each time you created a spell of your own or master an already-known spell your sister couldn't help but be proud of you!
Of course whenever Constance needed to go out for something during the day. You would always be with her you knew how many bad memories the sun brought back to her. So you always wanted to be there with her in case something happened and to keep her safe.
To bring back House Nuvelle that was Constance's dream! Naturally, you shared this dream with Constance and did what you could to make it a reality. Whenever you two successfully bring back House Nuvelle your magical prowess as the siblings of House Nuvelle will be known far and wide!
Linhardt
Oh Linhardt sleepily, sleepily, sleepily Linhardt. How did your brother end up sleeping so much? You weren't sure honestly but you'd find him sleeping in places such as the library.
You could be sitting next to Linhardt talking about anything. Then the next minute he goes quiet and stops responding to you. It's because he's fallen asleep! How could fall asleep while talking to you?! His amazing sibling?! How rude!
Of course, since you were Linhardt's sibling you'd always be the first one he talk to about his crest research. Whether you had a crest or not didn't matter! You were still his sibling and he cared for you all the same.
Of course, if you were ever feeling stressed or tired Linhardt would be the first to notice. And what would he suggest to get rid of those feelings of stress and tiredness? Naps of course! Linhardt always seemed to know some of the best places to take a nap.
Of course, if you ever needed any help with your studies. Linhardt would be the first person you'd go to for help. He was one of the top students so he would be willing to help you out on something you're struggling with.
Caspar
Oh, Casper whenever he would see you in the halls of the Garreg Mach Monastery. He would shout your name and then run up to hug you. He was always happy to see you and always asked how you were doing.
Since neither you nor Casper would be the next head of your house. You always knew Caspar would be training and sometimes asked you to join him. You didn't mind however as Caspar was always great to train with!
Also, you know that one support in Three Houses where Caspar carries Bernadetta to show her something pretty? Yea, Caspar does the same with you sometimes since he wants to show you something. It happens so many people are just used to seeing him carrying around his sibling in the Monastery.
Of course, you and Caspar get along well together since the both of you grew up together. The both of you are each other's best friend! Caspar could be a bit more emotional than you at times.
This usually led to Caspar getting into fights with other students. You always had to hold Caspar back or break up the fight. However, you'd always be there for Caspar to patch him up after a fight.
Yuri
Okay, let's just get this out the Yuri would tease you CONSTANTLY! Seriously not even a day goes by where Yuri isn't teasing you about something. Of course, you would tease him as well but it didn't seem to affect much.
Yuri was also very protective over you as leader of the Ashen Wolves. Of course, Yuri knew you were more than capable of protecting yourself. But if people were aware you were his sibling they might hurt you instead of him.
Of course, since you were Yuri's sibling he trusted you more than anyone else. So you knew more about him than others and he opened up to you more. The both of you are always there for each other and trust each other greatly.
You and Yuri were partners in crime and would go out on missions regularly. You would both always have each other's back. Even in battle the two of you were an unstoppable force!

Can we-” “No we cannot get a puppy.” “But-” “No.” with Caspar
❤️Prompt List❤️
While yes, watching Caspar play with some of the puppies hanging around the grounds was in fact very cute. Especially when he fell to the ground after trying to not trip over one of said puppies, only to trip over his own feet. Only for the group of them to swarm him, licking his face and demanding more pets from him.
And while right now, he could very much be compared to a puppy, with wide eyes and a pleading smile. Your decision was final before he even asked the inevitable question. "Can we-" to the point where you don't even let him finish.
"No we cannot get a puppy." His smile very quickly turns into a pout when he realises you aren't budging on the subject.
"But-"
"No."
"Why not?" There's a list that you could think of off the top of your head, but you decide to summarise on a single point.
"Caspar sometimes I worry you can't take care of yourself, how would you be responsible for a whole other living being?" He scoffs.
"Uh I can take care of myself just fine thanks." You stare at him accusatorily.
"Did you remember to eat today?" And he makes a noise indicating thought that drags out for about thirty seconds, followed up by a quiet no. "My point exactly." You think it's the end of the discussion, when he sighs, kicking up dust with one of his feet.
"But I have you to look after me," he tries with a slight pout, and you shake your head at him.
"Yes but I'm not the one who wants the puppy." There's brief bout of silence between you both, that breaks once he perks up.
"So what you're saying is if I take care of myself better we can get a puppy." He's grinning widely, while you're slightly stunned by his sudden conclusion.
"No, no I don't think that's what I said." You're completely dismissed by a cheer of joy.
"Okay so I just gotta remember to eat three times a day, alright puppy here I come!" You aren't sure where he goes once he leaves the room, but you muse to yourself if he can at least remember to take care of himself then maybe getting a puppy wouldn't be such a bad thing after all.

Heya! Would I be able to request something with Ferdinand? Like- maybe they’re having tea together or something but I don’t mind! Thank you!! I love your writing so much xx
It seems every time I resolve to be active, another aspect of my life pops up to surprise me. You have waited entirely too long, and I am now going on the journey of answering my inbox.
I decided to take the liberty of making a more exciting and rounded story as I wasn't too sure how to write something satisfactory about just tea. If that is what you want, just let me know and I can figure it out, but if you love my writing then I'm sure you'll love this too.
There is some choppiness in the plot here and there, but that is because I started to notice the work was growing a bit long and had to cut back in a few places. Regardless, I hope you enjoy!
Requests are open! The story will be continued under the cut.
The Black Eagle house had gone out to hunt the King of Wings, a beast holding precious material that Professor Byleth had been tracking for months on end. Petra had been the one to report it on a reconnaissance mission, and that was the end of it; everyone geared up and headed out.
The only complication she had mentioned was a group of bandits residing in the cliffside town nearby.
But true to form, that wasn’t the only complication you faced.
Rolling over, dazed from receiving a blunt blow from behind, your vision cleared just enough to make out your attacker.
“...Edelgard…?”
In a split second of clarity, you saw the future emperor raise her axe above her head.
You rolled out of the way just before she could bring it down upon yours.
“What are you doing? I’m on your side, remember?” you made an effort to stand, adrenaline supplying what energy her attack took from you.
You took out your sword, backing away as you defended against her swings. For a few more moments, you lacked the vision and stability to dodge reliably. Then, the fuzzy, blurry picture morphed into something clear.
The woman before you looked exactly like the Edelgard you had known all your life. At least, she might appear to be, if it weren’t for her eyes.
Midnight blacks locked onto you as you weathered clash after clash, backing away.
“Help! Please, help! It’s Lady Edelgard!”
But as she cornered you at the cliff’s edge, it seemed no one was listening to you.
“Hubert! Ferdinand! Petra!”
Finally, your leader came to a halt. Her axe was outstretched toward you as you froze. There was nowhere left to step.
The arm swung up. You knew what would come next.
~~~~~~~~~~
Caspar had been the one to call out to him from his horse.
“Ferdinand, what’s going on by the cliff?”
His lance impaled an enemy as he swung the body off his lance. Ferdinand hesitated a moment before skewering another ruffian. The Adrestian noble turned to Caspar.
“The cliff?”
The brawler nodded, pointing toward a small commotion.
“It is Lady Edelgard. She has cornered an enemy at the edge.”
“Is that all? It’s been a pretty tame fight from what I’ve seen, but her opponent hasn’t tried to land a single blow.”
“Hasn’t tried or hasn’t been able to? Lady Edelgard is quite the formidable opponent, you know-”
A series of shouts came from that direction. Ferdinand would have paid it no mind, were it not for his recognition of the voice.
Your voice.
Even across the fields of battle, he somehow knew you to be the one crying out.
Your name was said under his breath, as though Ferdinand had to speak the conflict into existence before he himself could believe it.
Redirecting his steed, Ferdinand raced to the cliffside. Caspar followed, though Ferdinand forgot soon enough. Caspar’s speed could not match that of a horse, anyway.
The closer he approached, the more of the scene he saw play out. Edelgard would swing in a wild rampage while the best you could do was stagger back and grip your sword in defense.
The cavalier dismounted his horse, swinging his legs off the side and jumping down to the grass. His own lance was held tightly in his right hand as he pushed his legs to move faster- to just get him to you.
You had finally been cornered, your heels at the edges of the rocks of the cliff. Edelgard raised her axe in the air, preparing to bring it down not upon you, but on the ground by the Goddess please no-
The two of you locked eyes.
“Ferdinand!”
“No!”
Loose dirt and rocks crumbled apart as the cliff was struck. Ferdinand slid forward on his stomach before you could fall too far downward, catching your arm with his torso hanging off the crumbling terrain.
Momentum shifted, and the orange-haired knight couldn’t piece together what was happening in time to react. You went from falling down to careening back toward him; your body crashing into the wall of rocks. More crumbling meant less leverage for Ferdinand as the debris falling out from under his chest knocked against his ribs and applied uncomfortable pressure on parts of his armor.
“Agh…” you groaned, “...Ferdinand-”
“It will be alrigh- ngh-!”
More rocks tumbled from underneath him to the land below, and his grip on your arm tightened.
“Is Lady Edelgard still attacking you?”
“...I…cannot turn my head to tell…” not without dropping you.
If he wasn’t dead yet, it was safe to say the situation with Lady Edelgard had changed. To what, he could only guess, but there were too many things on his mind at the moment to dwell upon it.
He was surprised at how calm you seemed. It was a near death experience- even now, Ferdinand was still unsure upon which side of the scale the two of you would fall- and he had read that some people might react with less panic than others. Nonetheless, his imagination scared him; to think that you weren’t regarding the situation with as much weight as he did…
Ferdinand was on the verge of losing someone he had hoped to spend his life with. And it would be too easy to drop you.
As if on cue, the beast they had been hunting let out a deafening roar from somewhere behind Ferdinand.
“Nngh- you have got to be-”
~~~~~~~~~~
“...fucking kidding me!“
Caspar continued his sprint to the cliff, alerting any other Black Eagles he ran into on the way of the situation at hand. By the time he had found Hubert earlier, the dark mage had apparently already resolved part of the issue.
Edelgard had been under a spell that had rendered her nothing more than a puppet. In killing the mage that cast the spell, the new Marquis Vestra freed Edelgard and removed the immediate threat from both your and Ferdinand’s conflict on the cliff.
Unfortunately, that didn’t guarantee she stayed conscious.
It all happened so quickly. Edelgard crumpled to the dirt, and for one heart-wrenching minute, Caspar thought she was falling with the debris. Luckily, her position remained on stable ground, but the same could not be said for you two. You had fallen out of sight, Ferdinand having nearly slid off the cliff as you did so.
Ferdinand hadn’t moved from that spot since, though the minute shifts of his shoulders told Caspar enough about what was going on.
The only thing keeping you from falling to your death was Ferdinand. Although Caspar couldn’t see it, he knew his friend needed help.
Orders came from Professor Byleth in the form of several curses.
Caspar’s professor turned away from the enemy lines to go toward Lady Edelgard. She was just a few paces ahead of him, the flat terrain beginning to form a hill. They passed Bernadetta on their way up; she had frozen in indecision, an onlooker clutching her bow, but there wasn’t any time to stop.
At the sound of a wretched screech, Caspar almost lost his footing. Air rushed past him as the crest beast they had come to kill soared overhead. It must have been attracted to the chaos that had brewed on the cliff.
“Caspar! Get to Ferdinand and help them off the edge! I’ll get Lady Edelgard down.”
“On it!”
The King of Wings passed the edge of the cliff, diving downward out of sight as Caspar reached Ferdinand.
“Hey, it’s Caspar! Don’t be alarmed; I’m going to help you up.”
“Agh…make it…quick…”
Before Ferdinand had finished talking, the blue-haired brawler had put his hands on the cavalier’s torso. Caspar dragged most of Ferdinand’s upper body back to safety, shifting around for a moment or two so that he could assist in lifting you back onto solid ground.
An interjection from you diverted his attention from his task.
“It’s coming back around! Get out of the way! It’s coming for the cliff!”
“I will not drop you now after keeping you alive this long!”
“If you keep holding on, we’ll both fall to our deaths!”
Sounds of movement from behind him registered in his ears.
“Move, Caspar!”
Without thinking, Caspar dropped to his knees and leaned to the right, using both his hands to support your arm as he heard Petra’s command.
In a second, she was at his side, kneeling next to him on the cliff with a bow he recognized as Bernadetta’s pulled taut. Her sights were clearly on the beast’s eye.
From the other side of Caspar, Ferdinand could not see anything going on.
“Petra, what are you doing? Get down from here, or all four of us will-”
“Shit! Shoot it now Petra!”
“Petra!” you begged, desperately trying to clamber onto the rocks.
Air whizzed by his ear as Petra let the arrow fly. You had shut your eyes to brace for an attack as he and Ferdinand tightened their grips on your arm, shifting their stances to gain as much ground as possible without causing a rock slide.
When the arrow struck true, the beast flailed backward. It floundered about in the air before falling, presumably to its death, but definitely out of sight of the party on the cliff.
“Yes!” Casper whooped.
You let out a breath of air from your spot hanging at the cliff’s side at the same time as Ferdinand. Then, the two men finally pulled you back to safety.
~~~~~~~~~~
“Th-thank you,” you breathed, lying out of breath on your back. The pain had been bearable while your life hung in the balance, but now that the adrenaline was wearing off, you were starting to feel the consequences of scraping your ribs against the cliff.
The heir of Duke Aegir stretched out his arm and looked over his chest plate from his seat on the ground next to you, “Please, there is…no need for that. You were in danger, and so I helped you.”
“Danger?” you balked, “Ferdinand, you just saved my life. That wasn’t just me risking a scratch or an infirmary trip; I could have-“
“I know,” he cut you off hastily. “…but I would rather not think about that. You are here now, and you will not be going anywhere if I can help it.”
Caspar stood next to you, choosing to calm his own breathing by placing his hands on his knees to rest a moment.
At least, he almost allowed himself to rest until he got a better look at you.
“Uh…Ferdinand?”
“What is it, Caspar?”
He pointed to your torso, “Should I go get Linhardt?”
Sure enough, when you looked down, blood had begun to stain your clothes. It pooled on your chest; there wasn’t enough of it yet to trickle down your side.
You supposed your chest had been feeling a little warm.
Ferdinand leapt to his feet, “I-Is that even a question?”
“You stay here with her, I’ll go find him!”
He left immediately, the noble cavalier rushing toward you in turn. A red cravat was removed and placed at your wound.
“Forgive me, but applying pressure is-“
“That’s for stopping blood,” any hope you had of getting out of this in good condition was slowly starting to wane. “You’re not going to save me from the consequences of a misplaced or broken…anything…like this.”
“I…” it looked like he was beginning to despair, too. “This is all I know how to do. But Linhardt will come, and he will heal you.”
Only, two minutes passed with no visit from Linhardt or Caspar.
“What is taking them so long?” Ferdinand asked himself.
“…yeah…I’m not feeling so great…I think…”
It was no lie. Your vision was deteriorating into bright colors with few details. A blink every so often would fight it, though that began to create the conflict of staying conscious.
“…stay here. I will be back as soon as I can. Do not fall asleep. Please.”
~~~~~~~~~~
“What is taking so long?”
He had arrived with his horse at the bottom of the mountain to find Linhardt, Caspar, and Hubert arguing.
“Hubert keeps saying Edelgard needs to be looked at first, but I saw the fight,” Caspar defended, “She only ever blocked attacks, but Edelgard actually managed to hit her. Plus she’s all bloody from the incident off the cliffside.”
“But her position is nowhere near important enough to grant her priority, injured though she may be. Lady Edelgard is far less expendable, and as such must be cared for first and foremost.”
“Are you serious, Hubert-?”
“Think of the bigger picture-“
“The bigger picture is that nobody will be saved if we stand here arguing,” Professor Byleth cut in. “Ferdinand came down from the hill for a reason; she obviously can’t wait any longer for help.”
He sighed in relief. Finally, someone using their common sense to do something about this.
“Linhardt specializes in physical injuries, so he should go see _______ first. Perhaps you would be the better candidate to look over Edelgard, Hubert, seeing how her affliction is mental.”
“Fine,” he relents a little too easily. Perhaps he is eager to get to business as well.
“Ferdinand, you take Linhardt up the hill and provide cover while he heals her. I will stay here and cover Hubert. Caspar, get back into the fray.”
“Understood.”
“Yes, Professor.”
“Of course.”
“Got it!”
~~~~~~~~~~
“Ah-!” you awoke with a start.
There were two people with you, leaning directly over you.
“My…I can’t…I…to breathe…”
“She’s confused- Hey, don’t let her squirm like that, she’ll hurt herself again!”
And so you were being held down.
“What is this? What’s happening to me?”
“Just take a few breaths and calm yourself. I have brought Linhardt back to help you.”
Linhardt.
Right, you knew these people. Ferdinand and Linhardt from the academy. You were hanging off a cliff until you got pulled back up. There was an injury, and everyone went to get you help.
“Is this a normal reaction?”
“Sometimes, after a traumatic experience, the body will put minor changes into effect as self defense. She’s had to do a lot of improvising and adapting to survive the events that followed Edelgard’s attack; it makes sense that her body would want to give her mind a break.”
“And is it…?”
Linhardt shook his head, “Temporary. She’ll be fine in a matter of minutes.”
The cleric stood up and stretched out, holding back a yawn.
“But…ah…physically, she should be just fine with a bit of rest. I’ve mended what I could, which should be all of it, though it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
“Thank you, Linhardt.”
“Why are you thanking me?” he frowned, making his way back down the hill on foot, “I’m going to check on Lady Edelgard now.”
You watched after him before realizing something, turning back to Ferdinand.
“Hey, shouldn’t we be heading down too? To fight?”
“No,” the Adrestian noble shook his head, “We won. Besides, you heard Linhardt. You need to rest.”
“Wait, we did?”
Catching sight of the battlefield, there wasn’t much movement left. Edelgard had returned to consciousness, Byleth and Hubert at her side. Petra and Bernadetta were deep in conversation as Dorothea looked out at the damage with Manuela. Caspar was on his way to intercept Linhardt before bringing him over to the future Emperor.
Well then, perhaps your nap had lasted a little longer than you thought.
“Come. Let us join the others.”
Extending his hand out to you, you accepted Ferdinand’s help off the ground and tried to get up.
“Woah, easy!” he caught you, “Perhaps you need a bit more time to adjust to whatever Linhardt did.”
Indeed, you were dizzy and weak. It felt like Linhardt must have pulled the strength to heal your torso from the other parts of your body.
The cavalier picked you up and carried you to his horse, placing you side saddle before mounting the steed himself. You were in front of him, his arms around you as he gripped the reins.
“There. This way, you will not fall off if anything strange happens, and you will not need to exert yourself by walking down to the others.”
“Thank you,” you smiled, suddenly a bit sheepish. But this was important.
“It is nothing at all.”
“No. I mean, not just for this,” you started. “You found me when I was in trouble, caught me before I fell to my death, held on even when it endangered your own life, stayed with me when I couldn’t defend myself, found help for me when none was coming…”
“Oh,” he replied, at a loss for words. “Well, when you put it that way, I suppose it does sound like a lot.”
“It is! Don’t even try to diminish it!” your eyes met his. “I owe you my gratitude after this, let alone my life.”
He shook his head with an uncharacteristic scoff, “You do not owe me anything. I chose to help you because…I…erm…”
The man turned his head, blushing a bit and suddenly avoiding eye contact.
In an attempt to make things less awkward, you looked away too, choosing to face forward.
“If I don’t owe you anything, then there doesn’t have to be a reason. Just…thank you. For caring about me.”
“Always.”
May I have a male match up for Fire Emblem: Three Houses, please? I am a hetero-leaning demisexual (on the ace spectrum!) and I identify as female. It basically just means that I need a super deep emotional connection with the person first before I even consider any sort of romantic attraction. In terms of what I'm looking for in a relationship, I really value loyalty. I also kind of go by a credo of "men aren't competing against other men, they're competing against your solitude" in that I am super comfortable with me being single and my significant other has to add something to my life that me being alone with family and friends could not. But I like the idea of a person being a home and I seek comfort in my significant other while they also push me to be better. I prefer charismatic and humorous personalities as well as someone outgoing since I am quite shy myself!
In terms of what I can offer in a relationship, I too am extremely loyal. Once I commit to someone it means that I value them enough in my life to genuinely work on the relationship so that it lasts all the way through, platonic or otherwise. My love language is acts of service and physical touch (but I definitely don't give it out often). I don't tend to be touchy right off the bat and I absolutely hate receiving gifts, but I also understand that my significant other might have other love languages different from me so I'd want to communicate with them a compromise or at least discuss it. I'm a homebody so I don't go out much if I don't have to but I'd be more than willing to go on adventures with people I'm comfortable with so long as they don't go off on their own (I tend to cling to "safe" people when I feel uncertain or nervous).
I'm quite a prideful person and I'm not really silly when people first meet me (a lot of people say they're intimidated or they think I'm quite serious, that I know what I want and that I don't take any nonsense which is what scares them off). I tend to be closed off to people until they stick around long enough to get to know me. I'm a frugal spender (which is why I don't really like gift giving as a love language). I enjoy reading and playing video games on my spare time and absolutely love my dogs to death; I love all animals but nothing will beat out my own pets!
I'm so sorry that this turned out so long and I hope I didn't miss anything!
You certainly gave me a lot to work with! But I did have a dilemma between two completely different characters lol
This is a part of 3x Valentines event (All slots are taken)
I match you with...
Caspar von Bergliez
As intimidating as you come off to others at first, that'd be his exact reason why he'd be interested in getting to know you in the first place.
Turns out you're even cooler than he expected. Loyalty, set of rules, good sense of pride- he definitely appreciates it all.
Even if it took longer for you to open up, Caspar is too determined and easy to be open around guy to let that stop him.
And as you look in a partner something you can't get from either a friend or a family member he took it as a challenge once he was sure of his feelings.
His love language is the same as yours, but he's much more interested in acts of service. Both receiving and giving.
Being his lover means that he'd often "drag you out"... Sometimes literally, but since you're not opposed to going out it really won't come to this. Probably.
And when you're nervous, he'll be your strength. He can sometimes be a little foolish, but in the end you can count on him when you need him.
Note
hiya i’m not sure if your requests are open but if they are could i please have them yandere prompt 7 with caspar!! i adore your work
7. “I’m trying to help! You had a problem, and I fixed it!”
There was no name you could think to call yourself, no direct consciousness to cling to. No person living in the confines of your weightless head. There was nothing but an endlessly rolling sea of fog, your head cresting the waves every so often to grasp at a memory of a life you couldn’t remember.
You were a child, standing on the pier with your father —he was a naval engineer, the best in the Leicester Alliance— as you looked upon his newest warship. She was a beautiful creature, this ship named Claudia, everyone said so. You weren’t so sure. It was her face, you thought, her front —the bow! it was called the bow because ships always had different names for everything— was fixed with a frightening metal face. And she smiled. Not for you or your father or for the dozen others who had come to see this modern marvel. No, Claudia smiled for the enemies, for the Almyrans. Claudia, beautiful Claudia, would approach them with a scary bronze grin, Claudia would smile as she killed them.
You were a girl, twirling in your new dress made of imported fabrics shipped in from the Empire on the eve of your first ball. You felt beautiful, weightless, ready to leave behind your childish toys and frocks and join the adults in their courtly games. But these games were dangerous, and not all smiles were honest. Makeup tears ran down your face as your mother told you —wiping the blackened tears from your cheeks so as to avoid staining the beautiful fabric of your new dress— to smile even when it hurt.
You were a woman with a face drawn and pale as you followed the evacuation orders of the ruling Duke Claude von Riegan. Imperial Troops were marching to take Derdriu. And they would win, everyone knew they would, even if all the Alliance soldiers armed themselves and formed defensive lines to keep them at bay. All of the fine naval weapons your father had spent his life creating were useless, now. No smiles, bronze or otherwise, would greet the Emperor when she conquered.
You were a survivor, emerging from the war relatively unscathed and as a newly sworn part of the new Fódlan government under the command of Emperor Edelgard. Maybe that would have scared you, or made you go red with shame, but there was a smile that kept you from falling to those feelings. A true, warm, reckless smile. He had a name, you knew it. He had a name and a voice and warm, warm hands.
Hands that had caught you when you fell, when you were dizzy and unstable as heavy black inkblots invaded your vision and pulled you under. What happened before the dark? What name had you called, whose hands had caught you?
You knew it! You knew, you knew, you knew-
“Caspar?” you managed to gasp out, trying to claw out of the fog and into the world using the name as an anchor. A warm, warm hand grabbed yours as you flailed, holding you still. Your eyelids fluttered, heavy and unfocused. He was blue. Blue eyes and hair, a color that was all at once soft and electric as it blurred in your vision. You could remember the color, from before the dark, before the falling. Before-
“Hey, relax, you’re okay,” he said comfortingly, his calloused thumb rubbing circles on your hand. You groaned in response, your body heavy and head fuzzy. It was too much for you to support yourself, your limbs wilting back into the seat and corner wedge of the wall. The familiar sway of a horse-drawn coach trundled beneath you. Your body ached in a thousand places from the uncomfortable position. And yet you couldn’t find the energy to move, to consider what was happening. “It’s fine if you keep sleeping, we’re not there yet.”
You groaned again, the words you wanted to say not finding cohesion in your own brain. Sleep sounded nice. Sleep was inevitable. So you let it wash over you, fading out of whatever reality you’d managed to find and into the grasp of memories unearthed by his voice.
Now there was a new feeling, one that was very distinctly yours. It was sinking, drowning, dark, and cold. It held like chains, trapping you in the dark.
You were newly engaged and laden with the heavy weight of news you so badly didn’t want to voice aloud. Beside you sat the man with the brilliant smile. Caspar von Bergliez, that was his full name but you only ever knew him by the first because he had absolutely no regard for station and you enjoyed the thrill of ignoring propriety. He had his own heavy, horrible news.
“You’re leaving?” you asked to clarify, eyes wide with shock and panic. The salty breeze of the ocean air blew a fresh gust, bringing another wave of the familiar fishy, wooden scents from the docks, but there was no comfort in it.
“Yep, I got orders to leave tomorrow. I guess there’s some sort of dispute in Enbarr I’ve gotta go check out.” Caspar shrugged casually. “I’m not sure what it's about but it seems urgent.”
“Will you be coming back?” you asked, a hint of desperation in your voice. It was strange how quickly the terror had taken hold in your heart, considering that you knew he would have to leave eventually. But leaving now of all times, right when you needed his brilliant smile the most.
“Yeah, I have no idea,” Caspar said. “Thanks to you, I got my work here done in half the time I expected.” He smiled, as if not seeing the tragic irony of your help allowing him to leave sooner. “That’s actually why I wanted to meet with you today, ‘cause you’ve been such a big help.” He paused, uncharacteristically taking the time to consider his next words with a crease between his eyebrows. “I was wondering if maybe you could come with me... If you want to. We make a pretty great team, if I do say so myself, and I’ve been needing someone to keep me organized and stuff.”
You stared at him, jaw loose on the verge of dropping. Caspar wasn’t the type to lie, and you doubted any motive he’d have to make up something like this. Shock faded into something like anger. Not at the short notice of the invitation or the casual way he proposed it, although those were perfectly valid complaints. No, you were angry as you wondered why couldn’t he have asked you earlier?
“I can’t,” you said, but the wind caught your soft words and pulled them away. Swallowing hard, you averted your gaze, unable to look at Caspar directly. “I can’t do that. My father has... Arranged for me to be married. That’s what I wanted to tell you today.”
“What?” Caspar asked, his body tensing in a way you could feel through space between you. “You’re gonna say no, right?”
“I can’t,” you repeated. “Lord Pendleton is doing my family an honor by agreeing to the match.” You spoke the words you’d heard a hundred times from your parents with great care, a sick feeling in your stomach. Even saying the name  — soon to be your name —  was difficult, like a mouthful of medicine you had to force down your throat.
“Him? But you don’t even like that guy!” Caspar said. His voice was raised too loud for comfort in the relative peace of the breezy afternoon, making you flinch. Tears stung at the back of your eyes at this horrible arrangement of events, but you forced them back. Your mother told you to smile, no matter what. The one you mustered was a bitter, fragile thing, full of false humor.
“That’s not the point of arranged marriages,” you said, forcing an even voice. “And I don’t dislike Lord Pendleton. By all accounts, he’s a fine man. His family has been working with mine for years. And, besides, everything has already been arranged. I can’t just break it off like that.” Not without making an enemy of both his family and your own, at least. Despite that logic, guilt formed a knot in your chest on top of the selfish pain. Denying Caspar when he was looking at you with such earnest eyes was harder than you’d have ever thought, but you raised your gaze to meet them, to plead with him. “You understand, right?”
Caspar frowned, his shoulders slumping a bit as the burst of passion faded. He nodded. “Yeah, yeah, I get it…” He sighed, running a hand over his face, into his hair. It was already tousled by the wind, but now the longer bits stuck up. It was cute in a way you absolutely loathed noticing. “If I had asked you before, would you have said yes?” he asked.
“Yes,” you agreed without hesitation. That made his frown fade a bit, although the thought didn’t bring you much solace. It was little more than an empty prize, a chest of fools gold.
“Yeah, cause you like me way better, right?”
And again, you answered without thinking. “Of course I do. You’re… You’re a good man,” you told him. “You’re the closest friend I’ve ever had.” You deflated with those words, a hollow feeling in your chest. In contrast, Caspar’s chest only seemed to swell.
“Aw, I like you a lot, too,” he cooed, a strangely unaffected response to such a deeply personal confession. “A lot, a lot. And you know what? I have a feeling things are just gonna work out.”
Sending a sideways glance at Caspar, you felt a melancholic burst of affection. Maybe innocent was a strange word to describe a fully grown man, and perhaps an inappropriate one if you were to get right down to it. Condescending, infantilizing, and certainly unbecoming of the Minister of Military Affairs. And yet, it was the only description that came to mind in your hours with Caspar. He wasn’t innocent in the way of white flowers and doe eyes, but in an innate, childish way that gave light to his beaming smile and a captivating animation to his endlessly energetic attitude. And, yes, he was innocent when it came to women. Happily oblivious, or perhaps too distracted by everything else to be preoccupied with such things. Right then, it hurt. If he had offered marriage, perhaps you could have said yes. If he had shown any sign of romantic affection, maybe you could have justified taking his offer.
Heart sunken deep, you looked out to the ocean where clouds were building on the horizon. Not storm clouds, but the thick type that would bring a pointless oceanic gloom with them. You related to them far more than Caspar’s sweet optimism. “I hope so.”
You were a child and your father was carrying you in his arms, cradled to his chest while you pretended to sleep so he wouldn’t put you down. He smelled like the ocean, sawdust, and the achingly familiar scent of the cologne your mother liked so much. But, no. That wasn’t true, you weren’t a child and it wasn’t your father who was carrying you. Your body ached in the way it had only begun aching when you reached adulthood. The smell was wrong, too. Sweat and linen and leather.
Then there was a bed beneath you, a place you could finally lay flat. Still, the discomfort persisted, your brain relentlessly struggling against the dark and muscles falling slack. It was the thirst that finally got your eyes open and stiff body moving. The moments between wakefulness and the press of the cup to your lips was a blur, you couldn’t even remember seeing the water beside your bed. It was sweet, soothing your throat with each desperate swallow. Some of it dribbled down your chin, nearly choking you. Still weak, so weak, your fingers let the empty tin cup fell to the floor. Then your eyes closed again, ignoring the dozens of little pains you suffered.
"Oh, so you are awake!” Your eyes opened to the familiar voice, watching him enter the tent. A tent? “That’s good,” Caspar said. “I was starting to worry you’d never open your eyes.”
“How long was I asleep?” you asked, the words coming without thought as your mind swam, too disoriented to focus on any of your larger concerns. It looked and smelled like the earliest hours of the morning when he had opened the tent, the air thin and bitter with a creeping chill.
“About twenty hours? Give or take some, yesterday was pretty hectic,” Caspar answered, looking up as he thought. Then he smiled, sitting on the edge of your bed and stretching, throwing you a sideways grin. “Did you know that you snore? I didn't know girls did that. It was pretty cute. Reminded me of this cat I used to take care of.” His tilted. “I kinda miss that little guy."
“Twenty hours,” you repeated, knowing the words had far more significance than you could give them. Fog clouded your brain, panic barely finding its way through when everything all felt so unreal, so far away. The water hadn’t done much to ease the sour, sandy flavor weighing down your tongue. Your body sagged, your head aching. Everything was so uncomfortable you could hardly stand it. Fear of the unknown, of the confusion, was beginning to take hold. “Last I remember I was… You were there?” you asked, looking at him helplessly. “What happened? Where are we?”
“Hey, don’t panic, everything’s okay!” Caspar said, looking a little panicked himself. “We’re an hour out from the old Empire border. It’ll be two days more of traveling before we get to Enbarr.” His face scrunched unhappily. “I’ll have to teach you how to ride long distances so we can make better time when we travel from now on. Traveling so slow is the worst.”
“We left Derdriu,” you said, cold with horror. Memories were slipping into place, more relevant memories. “I snuck out to see you off and... You poisoned me?”
Caspar frowned. “Believe me, I didn’t want to!” he emphatically told you. “But I was worried you’d make everything all complicated again. I knew you were gonna feel too bad about leaving to come with me without some... Help. Besides, it’s better this way. You’d be completely wasted as Lord Pendleton’s wife. He’s a chump and a coward.”
“So you kidnapped me?” you asked, overwhelmed and nearly breathless on the verge of hyperventilating.
“You said you wanted to come with me,” he said.
“It’s not that simple,” you protested, a hand rising to your head to halfheartedly massage your temples.
“See? You think too much, it makes everything so complicated. Now that you’re already gone, you don’t have to feel bad about leaving.”
“I can’t believe you did this,” you said, your eyes closing. Hunger gnawed at your stomach, a reminder of all the time you’d spent asleep, getting farther and farther away from your family.
“You like me, don’t you?” he asked. Your eyes opened. Caspar looked pleading, a tad desperate. Oh, so innocent. It made your heart ache, it made your empty stomach twist.
“Of course I do,” you said, choking on the words. He relaxed slightly.
“Yeah, that’s good. I’m glad,” he said, nodding. Awkward.
A moment passed, Caspar looking intently at the tent wall with furrowed eyebrows and pursed lips. It wasn’t enough time for you to think, only to feel a washing sense of distress and fear.
“Listen,” he finally said. “I know that I can be kinda difficult and reckless. I’ve even been called annoying, but you don’t ever make me feel like that. I didn’t realize what I felt until you said that you were gonna get married. I realized that the idea of you with any other man made me angry. Livid, actually. I kinda wanted to leave and fight Lord Pendleton right then and there just for thinking about marrying you.” Caspar’s posture was hunched, his eyes down and cheeks blushing bright red. “This is so embarrassing... I swear, I didn’t want to do it like this.” He finally looked up, his jaw set as if he was readying for a fight. “The thing is, I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, protecting you and taking care of you. I know you didn’t want to marry that guy and that you’d be miserable, so even though it didn’t make me happy to do it like this, I had to take you. You understand, right?”
"No, I don’t,” you said, your voice a pinched, parched sound. Some part of you wanted to laugh at the horrifying juxtaposition of his confession and the situation, the morbid way they complimented each other. “I don’t understand why you would do this at all.”
“I’m trying to help!” Caspar said, pleading once more. “You like me way more than that guy, you wanted to come with me!”
“Why would you think that any of this is what I wanted?” you asked, meeting his shout with a shrill whisper and gesturing around the tent. Slowly, bit by bit, Caspar’s expression faltered, as if your unhappy tone was only just now invading in on his mood. It left you feeling cold. You had always known Caspar was a bit oblivious, but this was something else entirely. He truly hadn’t given a second thought to this, any of this. He thought this was for the best.
“Please don’t be upset,” he begged, moving towards you with imploring, innocent eyes. Then he smiled, and it was the worst one yet. So genuine and sweet, you felt as if you could actually see the love. Love. Caspar smiled and reached out to you with his warm, warm hands. “You had a problem, and I fixed it!”
what their weddings would be like
fire emblem three houses: black eagle boys
i wasn’t going to do another one of these but here i am :))
Tumblr media
HUBERT
if you managed to get engaged to hubert, well done - you’re truly very special
if you had a wedding hubert’s way, it would just be a small ceremony of just signing the documents with edelgard & ferdinand (reluctantly) as the witnesses
BUT since you’ve managed to wiggle your way into this grumpy man’s heart, he’ll probably give in and let you have a ceremony since he’s just too soft for you
that doesn’t mean you can go overboard though. no, things still have to be simple
hube makes sure he doesn’t look the same for your wedding. he knows it’s probably an important day to anyone who actually cares so he makes an effort
by effort i mean he probably slicks his hair back or something (which i would like to see)
& he’s just so gentle for the whole day. so gentle
a soft hand on your back, his little finger linking with yours, a gentle kiss on your cheek
& his vows really show how soft he is on the inside, and especially for you
nothing sappy, obviously, but he’d probably thank you for dragging him out of the dark places he was tied to because of his childhood bless
he’d also shed a tear when you walk down the aisle and turn away to hide it
definitely smears cream on your cheek just for a laugh too
has a small smile on his face for the whole day - he’s just too happy
FERDINAND
oh boy
ferdinand is literally a golden retriever puppy & no i do not accept any criticism at all
that said, he was probably thrilled when you said yes to his proposal - so thrilled that he immediately begun planning the wedding
it would be bright & cheerful and ferdie would have the biggest smile on his face
he wouldn’t let go of you for the entire day
either hubert or lorenz would be his best man i don’t make the rules
the entirety of garreg mach are invited & also everyone he’s ever known, ever
he’d also cry when you walked down the aisle and he would have the shakiest hands
his vows would be the cheesiest things ever i’m so sorry
he learnt that weddings were romantic and so he took that and multiplied it by 100
doesn’t smear the cake on your face but definitely wants to feed you it
ferdie would very lovingly gaze into your eyes in your first dance & he wouldn’t look away for a second
his hands would definitely not leave you even for a minute; there’s always an arm around your shoulders, or a hand on your back, or he’s even offering his arm for you
he’s having the time of his life just being there with you so he’s just trying to make sure you’re having as fun a time as he is
LINHARDT
upon suggesting a wedding ceremony to him, linhardt would probably go on a huge speech (not really a rant) about how wedding ceremonies are pointless and are just for public attention
he would only agree to having one as long as it’s small & only the people you both care about the most are invited
which is just caspar and the rest of the black eagles, along with your’s and his family
but he’s happy - he’s happy just to be marrying you
caspar is the best man, much to linhardt’s dismay
he just would not shut up on the altar before the wedding & lin was ready to hypothetically throw hands
but when you finally walked through the doors.... oh my
he couldn’t stop staring. he didn’t cry, but he literally could not take his eyes off of you
once you got up to the altar he took your hands and whispered, “you’re beautiful.” & i swear to god he’s so in awe
the reception was quite quiet, with caspar and ferdinand as the exceptions of course
linhardt just cuddled you from behind with his face in your neck, not wanting to move
he did not move for the entire day
nobody really questioned him either, they just sort of assumed he was tired but also wanted to be apart of everything
but he wasn’t actually tired, he just wanted to hold you
CASPAR
i think caspar’s wedding would have to be the most colourful, most exciting thing anyone’s ever been to
he probably has like no common sense other than weddings are meant to be happy occasions
so of course he at first suggests that neon blue would be the best colour for a wedding & of course you had to say no (even though it would be funny)
it’s still a warm, colourful wedding though. just not neon blue
linhardt is his best man (they’re the best men at each other’s weddings & you can’t tell me otherwise)
he forgets to write vows & just sort of says whatever’s at the top of his head
it might come out really bad, it might not, but it’s still endearing
definitely throws your face into the cake
or maybe he throws his own face in, i don’t know
maybe he throws linhardt in
your first dance is definitely something upbeat
he swings you around & dips you all the time, and each time he dips you he gives you a little kiss
he’s just so sweet in his own caspar way
Hello! Can I please get a small fic with Caspar where gender neutral reader calls him their 'husband' for the first time??? Thank you so much!
{np. I’m not titling this because it’s 3am and I think I just lost my last brain cell, but enjoy some Caspar! So happy someone’s giving some of our BE students some love}
‘I’m so dead’
Waking up in the infirmary was not anything new for Caspar. Wounds never scared him, and battles were like a sport he loved to play. The body heals eventually so it was never something he concerned himself with. Well…at least that was the case until he enrolled in the academy, or more specifically, met (Y/N). They made sure to nag him endlessly for every scratch. He didn’t take it seriously in the beginning, what was there to even worry about? It’s not like he’ll die.
Until one close call became dozens. Each time he’d get a lecture, as group healer they would stay with him, and somehow an unexpected friendship was formed. The worrywart and the bandage magnet, quite the pair. He always found their pestering an annoying piece that was part of the package. He never truly understood how frightening it was to see injuries until they were on the medical cot instead.
It hits different versus if it’s yourself. A role reversal triggered something within him, and he realized how hard it is to watch. To look at the blood, the stitches, the pain; to see them suffer through it. Someone he knows personally. Someone he cared about. From then on, he tried to be more careful and they noticed. Friendship soon became something more, and recent developments left him swearing to be a better man. He couldn’t die just yet.
“Excuse me. Excuse me! Sir, I need to go inside,” There it was, they were here for him. The urgency in your tone only made him feel more guilty, but deep down hearing your worry made him happy. All these years and you’re still the same as when you were teens. He found it familiar, but the medic outside wasn’t as pleased.
“I’m sorry, no one is allowed beyond this point. Please return to your post for further orders” He heard them say. Were they new or something? How did they not know one of their generals?
“My orders are within this tent. Please step aside” (Y/N) always had a short fuse for medical situations. He was about to get up to help but decided against it. The image of their last pre-battle talk overtaking his mind. When your troops split up you made him promise not to engage without backup. He did, and they won. Yet he knew there was hell awaiting him. The medic can deal with it, anything to buy spare time from your wrath.
“I cannot do that. This is a private care unit and the only people permitted entry aside from healers are high commanders” silence, “And the only commander stationed here is currently being cared for. Captain Bergliez is not to be disturbed,” He grimaced beneath his covers. Wrong answer. From where he laid, he could see a portion of the pair’s shadows cast upon the tent. The medic had blacked the entrance, and – oh no.
“You would do well to watch your tongue solider! I am Commander (Y/N) (L/N), and as your superior I demand entrance to see my husband,”
“Let them in already if you want to live!” He screamed from inside. Suddenly the flap flew open and he couldn’t help but cackle. Did it hurt his ribs? Hell yes, but his spouse was none to trifle with. The medic just tasted firsthand what he had for years, and it was way more fun to watch than be a part of.
“Caspar?! You ass! How long have you been awake!?”
“‘my husband,’ huh? Never thought you’d pull that card, (y/n)” he snorted, unable to catch his breath.
“Caspar. We have been married for not even a month and you’re already giving me grey hair!”
And he’ll give them many more without a doubt.
Notes: went with 6 bc 16 felt… hm, a little too much? This was a lot of fun to write! For some reason I was all nervous and fluttery when I wrote it but it came out super cute!! I like it!
Edited: 6/4/21; finally, a recent fic. This won’t take much at all hehe
_____________________________________________________
You never thought you would get to experience serenity like this ever again. When Edelgard and the Professor finally brought to end a war that was pushing nearly 6 years, you felt like it was the first real breath you had taken since your monastery days. But with the war coming to an end… you found you didn’t know what to do with yourself. 6 years of fighting and its over, just like that…? If you weren’t a solider, what were you then?
Right now, you supposed you were much anything at all.
“Hey, _____, you’re spacing off again!” Caspar waved a hand in front of your face, smiling widely as you blinked and were brought back to the present.
“Sorry Caspar.” You laughed a little as you shook your head. He helped you remember that it wasn’t important who you were. You didn’t need to be anybody in this life, so long as you were true to yourself and your values. “Was just… lost in the past, is all.” You said absentmindedly, looking ahead to the rugged path before the two of you, eyes far away once more.
“Hey, you don’t have to worry about that any more,” His voice was soft, pulling you once more from thoughts of bloody battlefields and fallen friends. “That fights, its over. Edelgard and the Professor are going to make sure of it, and make sure Fodlan stays peaceful as a whole! It’s our job to look out for the little people, though.” You smiled at his enthusiasm. In the months since the war, you and Caspar had simply been wondering around Fodlan, helping those who needed it; sometimes that meant fighting off bandits who threatened those who were trying to rebuild their lives, other times it meant healing those people, rebuilding their homes and making sure they could stand on their own two feet. Today, though, it was just the two of you.
“You’re right Caspar. I guess I’m just a little melancholy today.” You laughed softly as he frowned, trying his best not to pout. “Don’t let it get to you, I’ll be okay!” You assured, making sure to smile for him.
“N-No its not that…” He sighed, shaking his head. “I know you’ll be okay, you always are.” He looked up, seeing the sun hanging lowly in the sky. The two of you were in southern Fodlan, in what use to be the Empire, so it would still be a while yet before the sun set.
“Hmm… we should probably hurry and find a nice place to camp, huh?” You hummed, giving a brief look around the area. It was all rather flat and sparsely, wooded. You were getting closer and closer to the coast, after all.
“_____?” Caspar called out your name once more. You turned to him with shining eyes, the sun catching your hair and eyes in such a perfect way, his words caught in his throat a moment.
“Caspar?” You responded. His name had never sounded more sweet coming from your lips. He was frozen a second, over come with emotion as he looked at you.
“I love you…” It was more admitting to himself than you but your eyes still widened at his whispered words.
“Excuse me?” You blinked, watching as Caspar went from mild shock to full on glee.
“I love you!” He exclaimed, scooping you up in his arms and spinning you around in the late summer sun. “I’m in love with you _____!” He cried out, laughing as he replaced you on the ground. He was all grins, as if you had already returned the gesture to him.
“Caspar…” You laughed as well, too caught up in his happiness to even begin expressing your surprise. “You’re awfully silly, you know that? I haven’t even told you how I feel and you’re already celebrating.” You teased. Caspar remained unfazed, smile never faltering from his face.
“Oh well… yeah.” He merely laughed sheepishly. “I just got so excited I kinda forgot.” He admitted, now looking into your eyes with great interest. “So… do you?” He said softly, blush dusting his cheeks as his hands still rested on your hips.
“Of course I do!” You exclaimed in return, your arms finding way around his neck to hold him tightly. “I’ve loved you for so long, I’m so happy you feel the same!” You laughed into the crook of his neck, nearly shaking in your excitement as Caspar joined in your laughter and rocked with you in his arms.
“This is great! I’m so happy!” Caspar couldn’t help his yelling and you couldn’t help your grin. “I’m so happy that you were the one to travel with me, _____.” He calmed a bit, smiling as he spoke to you seriously for a moment.
“I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’ve always just wanted to be by your side.” You laughed watching his features light up.
“I wanna stay by yours, too!” Once again, the two of you held each other close, merely soaking in the others touch for a long moment. With Caspar by your side, and you at his, all you had all you needed to be happy and content; no purpose, nor identity needed.
Fire Emblem Three Houses: A/B/O Headcannons
I love this game and the fact that I haven’t written for it is a shame. I’m picking my favorite boys and adding in A/B/O because why not? Everyone should talk to me about Fire Emblem lol
 Warnings: Talks of Heats and Ruts but nothing explicit
Claude:
He’s either an easy going alpha or the only beta leader the Alliance has seen for many years. Claude fits easily into any social situation and people tend to ignore his secondary gender (much to his advantage).
If he’s an alpha, people wonder if he has any kind of alpha instincts at all. He always stays calm and is the level head in stressful situations. The only time he’s traditionally ‘alpha’ is if he’s angry or you’re threatened. It takes a long time for Claude to get frustrated enough to snap but when he does it makes everyone take a step back. If you’re threatened or harmed, the reaction can be either worse, lots of growling and scenting happening.
He acts the same way as a beta and this drives his want for an open and equal world. People have always told him he’s ‘too much like this’ or ‘not enough of that’; he’s an outsider to his own gender. Claude wants a world that’s equal for all genders and he’s determined to make that happen.
 Felix:
Felix is another character that feels like he can fit in with all of the secondary genders. He can be the stereotypically alpha, the angry omega or the beta that’s done with everyone’s bullshit. All are endearing in their own way but these will focus on the omega and beta versions.
As an omega, Felix tries his best to hide who he is. He’s not a trophy for someone to put on a pedestal and he’ll be damned if he’s going to be used as a crest baby machine. It’s better to let Felix approach you on his own in this instance but everyone knows that it would take forever if you let that happen. Just make sure to make it obvious you like him (in private).
Felix is tired if he’s a beta. Most of the Blue Lions are either alphas or omegas and he is tired of everyone wanting him to solve their problems. He’s not a ‘mediator’ type of beta and he makes that very clear. It takes a little while to convince him that you’re serious about being with him but once you do, he’s the most loyal person you could ever get.
 Caspar:
He is the feistiest omega that anyone has ever seen. Caspar is bright, upbeat and ready to fight at any opportunity. This goes against the omega stereotype and a lot of people don’t know what to do about that. His parents never cared because he was the second son and being a noble made it so his ‘bizarre’ behavior was never addressed.
If asked, Caspar will claim that he’s always been this way and presenting as an omega did not to change him. It’s very eye opening and people can’t help but respect his honesty. He never really thinks about his gender in a grand scale and doesn’t factor it into his interactions with people.
Caspar is notorious for forgetting about his heats. He often doesn’t realize that they’re coming up and pushes himself if he feels like he’s slowing down. What he thinks as ‘not training enough’ is actually his body saying ‘heats coming up’. You often have to remind him and help him get ready, gently prodding him more towards home than out in the world. He’s grateful for this, especially since he knows he can be a hand full.
 Linhardt:
Linhardt is an alpha but it’s too much of a pain for him to pay attention to most of the time. He doesn’t care about his gender on any given day, only his research and crests. He has looked into gender and crests but doesn’t want that to be the focus of his work. People already have issues with bloodlines, he doesn’t want to get too deep into that.
He finds his ruts annoying more than anything. Linhardt doesn’t enjoy being pulled from his work but even he has to follow his own instincts. It’s better if he has someone to share it with but he doesn’t have partners often and isn’t looking for frivolous pleasure.
Linhardt has a dream for the future. He wants to continue his research and have a home in the countryside, something quiet and full of good napping places. He would be completely happy letting you run the money and become a stay at home spouse. As long as you’re for this plan, he won’t be letting you go any time soon.
S/O Introducing them to Mexican Food
Fandom: Fire Emblem
Character(s): Ferdinand, Caspar, Dorothea
Type of Request: Headcanons
Note(s): I recently found a Mexican restaurant close to where I live (and I live in the country) and am v happy 😊. I also did some research into the foods since I don't know all of what's popular so hopefully I wrote this okay!
Tumblr media
Caspar
Absolutely loves the amount of meat and seasonings. He gets a good helping of protein and it tastes great? Goddess sign him up!
He's not really a veggie person, but he loves how they taste in this style of cooking? There's just something about all the flavors that helps him forget about the vegetable taste.
He's not picky either when it comes to eating (besides the veggie thing, but again, he likes them combined with the different seasoning and meats). A really big fan of trying anything you make.
Dorothea
She loves the desserts so much. Even if they're bad for her figure, they're so tasty! Tres Leches cake is a favorite but she always feels guilty after eating a piece.
Constantly asks you to make her horchata. She loves cinnamon and for it to be in a drink? Genius. The idea of rice in it threw her off a tad, but it's so good so she doesn't mind at all.
Ferdinand
I'm sorry to do him like this, but Ferdinand just gives me stereotypical white boy vibes of not being able to handle spice. Would enjoy just a bowl of homemade tortilla chips.
He really does eat mostly tacos or quesadilla. If he's feeling adventurous, he'd try eating a chimichanga.
I can see Ferdinand really enjoying nachos. Like the kind with all the veggies and cheeses. He hates making a mess so it's such a bad food for him, but he enjoys all the different flavors (as long as it isn't spicy).
caspar's s/o training with his father
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: caspar von bergliez x gn!reader
tags: wholesome fluff, established romantic relationship, reader growing stronger to make caspar worry less about them
Tumblr media
caspar noticed that you had recently gotten stronger!
usually you had a much harder time keeping up with him and his training schedule, but as of recently you managed to somewhat keep up with him!
of course, caspar is curious to find out what changed that you suddenly had gained that much more strength and stamina
did you start a new diet? or was it a new training schedule that you started following?
though when he asks you, he's surprised to find out that you had actually been sparring with his father as of recently!
caspar isn't sure how to feel about that at first
he's happy that you try to keep up with him and would go as far as ask his father for help
though he can't help but be a bit disappointed that he can't be the one protecting you anymore
though when you tell him how well you got along with his father, he can't help but feel happy!
and besides, this way he won't have to worry about you anymore, even if he'll miss playing the protective boyfriend!
Woah! Hello, wondering if I could have a HC between Caspar and reader honestly just being soft between each other? Please and thank you!
Fighting Caspar being sweet, I love it 😍😍
Caspar's HC
Sweetness with his s/o
Before the two of you started dating, you always saw Caspar into a fight or in the dinning hall, eating lots of food with his partner in crime, Raphael. Of course at first, you tried to know him better with the help of Linhardt, who became your “Caspar teacher”. That's how you succeeded to charm the Black Eagle boy. At first Caspar was curious about you, and tried his best to impress you... by fighting every guy cruel with you, or flirting a little too much with you to his taste. You found it cute, too cute to resist. When he came to your chambers covered by bruises, he was even cuter. You started to kiss every bruise in order to heal every one. “You're an angel” he said to you in the middle of the night, after hours talking. You need nothing more to capture his lips in a passionate kiss. That was the first time you saw Caspar blush. “I won't let anyone flirt and bother you...” he promised you between two kisses. Needless to say, he didn't leave your chambers that night... or any night after.
(It's not exactly how I wanted it but here you go! Sorry for the wait!)
The hour was late, lit by candles and moonlight streaming through your bedroom window. You had somehow managed to get Caspar to simply relax after a long day of battles in the campaign and tomorrow the army would be marching on to Gronder Field. There was too much at stake to let proprietary stop either of you from spending this night together, regardless of familial obligations or noble protocol. You sat together on the chaise near your fireplace as the embers smouldered in the grate. For once Caspar was calm and quiet, content to pull you close and play with your hands, fingers laced together. His calloused finger tips ran aimless patterns against your skin as he leaned in close to you, pressing his forehead to yours.
It had been so long, indulging in whatever this was. These feelings, this intimacy, undeclared due to uncertainty to the future which was so unlike the rambunctious man beside you.
"Hey... do you remember... the battle of Garreg Mach?" His voice seemed almost too loud in the quiet of the evening.
"Hm? Five years ago? Yes, of course." You blinked at him, trying to make out his expression. If you didn't know better, you'd say he was almost nervous?
"Well... what I means is, uh... do you remember right before we got split up?"
Now a blush took to your face; it had been at that moment, right before the beasts had been unleashed and in a moment of sheer panic at the thought that you were both about to die you had kissed him.
Fidgeting, you nodded and attempted to pull your fingers back just a bit in your sudden shyness. "Er... yes... what about it?"
Caspar's grip on your hands tightened a bit, tugging until you looked up at him. A warm, gentle smile tilted his lips and he tilted his head so that your noses brushed. "Kiss me again."
Well, who were you to deny him?
