So... the reveals for the Rare Male Slash Exchange (RMSE) finally happened today, so here I am sharing the three fics I wrote for it!

All three fics are in my Masterpost and my Mizuka's Odyssey series!

So... I wrote for Dracula, Fire Emblem Awakening, and Persona 3! [links go to AO3 - all three fics are rated M and have 1000 words]

This fic is particularly special, because this Awakening was the first fandom that I jumped into, and Chrom/Robin and Frederick/Robin were my first slash ships ever - about 10 years ago! In addition, the first fandom I ever wrote for was Fire Emblem Three Houses, so that was writing for a different Fire Emblem entry was pretty cool!

Hello everyone! I am pleased to announce that Redemption has officially expanded to AO3! For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a former quotev author for my Fire Emblem Heroes fanfic Redemption. Unfortunately an ex friend of mine who was harassing me got my account disabled, and we don’t know if we’re going to be able to recover it. I made that account back in 2015, so nearly a decade’s worth of progress sadly down the drain over an argument they decided to start. Story:

The world sways as Robin forces his sand-encrusted eyes open. He goes to hold his head, but his hand remains trapped under a blanket. His fingers barely twitch. How long has he been asleep?

“Ah, you’re awake!” Chrom’s voice was a delighted whisper.

“Chr-” A cough cuts his words short. Robin’s whole body shakes and heaves as his head does the best to bend in an direction. Instead it lies uselessly still. Only his chest and throat seem to move.

Something cold and moist is placed upon his head. Robin forces his eyes open once more. He hadn’t even realized he had closed them. They feel so warm. As if someone had list a campfire right behind them.

“You’ve had a fever for the better part of the day.” Chrom explains and there’s a scrapping sound of wood against stone.

“I need to get back to work.”

Chrom’s face leans back into Robin’s view. His eyes are soft as he sternly shakes his head. “Not tonight Robin. Tonight you need to sleep.”

“The war-”

“Will still be there for us tomorrow.” Chrom insists resting a hand on top of Robin’s chest. It’s a comfortable feeling, the sensation of something holding him. “I’ve got some broth set over a fire for you. Lissa is bringing in a fresh bowl of cold water for your cloth.”

Robin uses all of his strength to turn his head up. He’s just barely able to bury it a little deeper into the feather-down pillow.

Chrom’s face leans in closer. Something warm presses against Robin’s cheek. “Don’t worry. We’ve got you. I’m not going anywhere.”

The tactician’s eyes start to sting. Briefly, he wonders if anyone has ever taken care of him like this before. It’s nice. As his eyelids slowly cover his vision again, Robin lets out a labored breath.

Tomorrow he’ll feel better.

Chrom will still be near.

I am currently taking drabble prompts for tonight to help get people through the stress of waiting on the election.

He’s tried to pass his poor mood off as being solely worry over his sister, but it’s hard when the two types of misery look so different. Fearing for Emmeryn’s safety day after day is like trying to hold his breath for too long with no sign of when he can next draw air. It’s a relentless gnawing sensation—and a pain wholly distinct from the brutal efficiency with which a single glimpse of Robin shreds him open.

The irony of her original reason for calling on him that night is not lost on him. She’d set out to distract him from his concerns over Emm’s safety, and he supposes she did in the end. She distracted him the same way someone with chronic pain might be distracted by having their hand smashed by a hammer.

I know I should maybe not have SO MANY different fandoms all on the same blog, and a part of me is tempted to set up sideblogs just for some of my more sporadic hyperfixations BUUUUT Since my brain is overwhelmed with Fire Emblem Awakening recently... here is a snippet from the Chrobin rewrite I'm working on...

Robin wasn’t sure if she even could help, she had no idea how to put out a fire. She dug through her bag, hoping that she might maybe have something in her possession that would help, but all she found was books. She opened the first, it was mostly sketches and basic combat strategies, was that who she was? A strategist? The handwriting did seem familiar, somehow, but she couldn’t dwell on that too long. She ran her finger down the spine of the other book, sending a cold shiver down her own. She knew what it was by instinct, a thunder tome. The image of lightning sparks flash in her mind.

“Not this time.” She takes a deep breath, securing her back. “I can help, I know I can.” Robin closes her eyes, and as she exhales, pushes the images from her nightmare away. When she opens her eyes, she runs towards the town, spellbook in hand.

Today (Oct. 16th) is my 26th birthday!

As many who have been following me for at least a year now know, I always open my asks to writing prompts from everyone to celebrate my birthday.

Dawn bleeds across the sky in diluted watercolors as the Shepherds roll up the last of their camp equipment. Since they departed from Ylisstol three mornings prior, Robin has been watching the castle turrets gradually smudge into mist on the horizon. It’s not until they’ve marched yet another half-day before she finally loses sight of them completely, and even then, it’s more a result of the jutting cliff-face than from the distance they’ve traveled.

It’s troubling. She knows they’re moving slower than usual on account of the size of their procession, but it still seems as though they ought to have covered more ground by now. Robin squints down at the map in her hands, then back at the jagged mountain path, trying to discern their progress from the tiny inked landmarks.

A warm hand lands on her shoulder, squeezing firmly. “May I?” Chrom offers.

Robin looks up to meet his wind-swept smile with a sheepish one of her own. The gusts’ intensity has increased with their altitude, leaving him enticingly tousled and pink-cheeked.

“Please,” she sighs, handing the map over. “I can’t make heads nor tails of this thing.”

Sorry I've been away, I've been consumed by my FE Awakening university AU where Athlete!Chrom and Chronically ill!Robin are roommates freshman year.

Chrom doesn't realize that Robin's asshole father is trying to sabotage him so he has to move back home, and just himbos his way into being a supportive roommate/best friend. Rearranges classes so he can help Robin get to his, keeps their fridge stocked in case Robin's too tired to go to the cafeteria, goes to special events and field trips with Robin so he has someone to lean on if he needs it (and drags Robin out to his games when he can, so he can be friends with the rest of the team). Takes Robin home with him every break, where Emmeryn and Lissa adopt him into the family almost as quickly as Chrom did.

(He likes when Robin wears his sweatshirts, because he's seen how threadbare his roommate's clothing is and Chrom has plenty to spare. Robin likes them because Chrom's house was the first place that really felt like home.)

(Chrom plays basketball, his jersey number is 13, he wants to be a social worker after his and his sisters' experience in the system. Robin's studying history with a hope to teach, and he'd have double majored in anthropology and archaeology if his health had allowed.)
