generally, my answer to this is he looks like roxy, with more defined features and a little bit more wear and tear, but that is not helpful in the slightest because physical character description is one of my weakest writing points... roxy doesn't have really canon features in tasw, but when i put together oc projects her face claim is singer lexi jayde!

declan is 34/35 at his first appearance! #teendadlife.... he's a bit taller than james, so in the 6'2-6'3 range and because his job at one point in time required much physical labor, he's built slightly, and most of it has been lost to the last few years where he's been overseeing the mine instead of physically working in it. he's got two full tattoo sleeves with more traditional art akin to something like this. other various patchwork pieces in the same style all around his body. he's got brown hair like his daughter, though it's much darker and floppier; about medium length i'd say, shaggy on his forehead and over his ears but not too much longer. he doesn't traditionally keep facial hair, but stubble is a good way to describe what he's got going on lmao! dresses in mostly dark clothing, the traditional more punk/grunge style with black jeans and t-shirts, the occasional flannel. he'll accessorize if he's going to a show but not much outside of that!

i hesitate to give him a face claim because... i hestitate to give them to all my characters. lexi jayde is just as close as i could get to roxy, and she's still quite far off from how i picture her. i floated the idea of skeet ulrich but he's too pretty; but i like that he has famous media from when he was younger and now in the present. same with kyle gallner, who is close but still... off. hrumph. i've gotta start making characters with fcs in mind first. so then i don't bitch and moan later when i can't find anyone....
