It's dearindies who is sending all these anons by the way slagging you they're so fucking annoying. They did it to me last year and had to block them. They're acting holier than thou all the time, dictating how the RP community acts and who should gif who, saying there's no excuse not to obey their rules especially on Palestine stuff. Like this is a person who recommended POC face claims to cast as a member of the Bridgerton family to someone asking for help with casting a RP family member character. Her excuse was that the character could be adopted but this was not specified in the request. Like the Bridgertons are all WHITE. Then they listed a trans woman as an option for a RP brother character like 🤦 then said they meant siblings. This is someone who keeps acting like they're superior to everyone.

i don't know if it's them and honestly i do not care. my ask box is open and so is my dm, anyone can come and talk to me at any time, the same way i understand if someone wants to unfollow me for a pack i post.

as for these things they have allegedly done, i haven't seen it and its none of my business. i just think that overall it seems exhausting to expect so much of people on tumblr, not everyone is gonna agree with each other and that is just how life goes.

don't necessarily think anon needs to stfu, but i do see this similarly. when anything happens in a world scale, celebrities tend to mass post, mostly without checking sources or fully understand the matter, probably bc they feel like if they don't post they might get cancelled.

i do like to think there is some nuance and degrees to what people do to be called zionists. just don't see how one post from 2 years ago compares to someone like noah schnapp, his insane behavior and consistent pro-israel propaganda.

personally i don't think kaitlyn dever is an evil zionist that is cheering on palestine genocide and has actively been pushing out propaganda. posting that two years ago was wrong and ignorant, but i do like to give people the benefit of the doubt, she might have changed her views (unfollowing a pro-israel actress could indicate that), and just never posted about it.

us, as people chronically online, tend to think everyone has the same need to post stuff all the time and share their opinions, when not everyone operates on this wavelength. overall i think there are more productive ways to advocate for palestine, and it kind of just shows how out of touch we are if we think that cancelling a d-list celebrity might improve the situation as a whole.

aligning yourself with zionist media is still being supportive of zionism and the erasure of palestine. for past actions (i'm sure that dever hasn't posted any pro-palestine content) to still be acknowledged is important– if the creator the show is a zionist, and dever has past support of SAID ZIONISM, it's probably important that you don't make gifs of her. you've just lost my respect if you do.

I think if the smaller actors are on social media they would be seeing hate from people for participating in the show. I think they fully understand. The question is a lot of actors whether big or small in terms of fame will shut their mouth on Palestine because they don't want to get involved in discourse or don't want to lost their job. Pedro Pascal praised Rachel Zegler for saying Free Palestine but has actually never said it himself. He is thinking what side his bread is buttered. He can speak about trans rights etc on a creative industry which features that heavily but not a political cause because he will lose his job probably ala Melissa Barrera who got fired by a Zionist Jew for speaking out. Other actors look at her and think no not me

maybe, but i don't think the overall public of the last of us is hating on the show, nor the game. we tend to think that other social medias are like tumblr, but most of them aren't. there might be criticism but you hardly hear of people canceling them on more mainstream media.

on the second topic, yes they will shut their mouths, like most people will if they knew they could lose their careers over doing the right thing. it's wrong, but i honestly can't hate someone for protecting their career, specially if they are small and can lose any prospect of a project, it would be hypocritical of me to say that i wouldn't do the same.

which also brings a whole new layer of: why the hell are we looking to celebrities for their manifestation? at least to the degree some are. when have they ever been this beacon of problem solving and activism? they can help, yes, but do we think having pedro pascal say free palestine will just change the studio mind, get them to cancel tlou, fire druckmann and scrap any zionist propaganda away from the material? they would probably just switch him for other actor (had he done that when he entered the project).

we seem to think that these celebrities have so much power, but they are part of an industry, and can be kicked out of a project just like melissa was. the people who hold the real power, never feel any sort of true backlash, not the kind that would make them change their minds.

maybe i am very cynical, but i don't see a reality where canceling people for being part of a show will positively impact people in palestine. there are more proactive ways to help. on top of that, are we forgetting this is tumblr rp? the fcs we pick or gif won't have an impact on a billion dollar industry, it won't even make certain celebrities lose followers on Instagram, take gal gadot for an example, still doing millions and shitty movies, despite the awarness on all she has done or does.

all I'm saying is, if people want to cancel the actors and put them in a list, go for it. i will be giffing them and watching the show, everyone here is an adult and we should be able to live with nuance.

i did not say that, at literally any point. if you read the whole ask, there is a bit where i mention that these actors might not be 6 feet deep into tlou lore and tumblr activism. we can't just assume everyone knows everything all the damn time, and honestly if you wanna talk about this, come off anon. i'm tired of every time i pick a fc that is remotely tied to this subject, someone just sends an anon ask pointing something out. not everyone is gonna share your perspective on cancelling people, and no, i don't think being a zionist consists of being part of a show, that is a simplistic view of a far more complex subject.

yeah, i do understand why people might not be comfortable supporting/watching the show and that's okay, personally i just don't see this way. neil druckmann is a piece of shit, and should not be supported, but i won't extend this feeling towards the actors, specially since some are smaller in the industry and probably just saw tlou as an opportunity to be in a bigger show. overall i feel like it can be healthier to direct the hate are the bigger players and the people really profiting off genocide, rather than an actor on a show that they might not exactly understand the underlying message druckmann pushed upon.
