Hi there! So exciting that you’re interested in our Syndicate leader! As of right now, we sadly weren’t able to find alternates that fit the character’s age and ethnicity — but if you know of any other Armenian actors for the role, we’re super open to suggestions!

(NPC) — Look who it is! If you take a look at our database, you’ll find that LUCINE GADAR SARKIS is a SIXTEEN year old HIGH SCHOOLER that’s been in Chicago for TEN YEARS. According to the file, they’re a mutant on LEVEL 2 with the power of UNICORN PHYSIOLOGY. That must be why they’re HARD WORKING and DEPENDENT.

FC is Dalita Avanesian.

Lucine mostly goes by Lucy.

Quite a lot smaller than her mum, at only 5′3.

Brought to America against her will, along with her mother, where they were kept at Barnum Oddities.

As Lucy was only six when she was brought here, she’s more fluent in English than Armenian, though at home they still speak exclusively in Armenian to help her keep in touch with her roots.

Being raised in Barnum, she is extremely wary and nervous -- having prey instinct and then living your formative years in a situation like that will leave you skittish.

Extremely dependent on Kinevart, Lucy tells her mum everything, and likewise Kinevart is always honest with her. Think Gilmore Girls!

Her mutation is less powerful/distinct than her mother’s. In unicorn form she is still ungainly and foal-like. She can heal and purify, though it takes her longer and more effort than it does Kinevart. Has guardianship instincts but has never had guardianship of anything so she has an unfulfilled sense of longing. Does have indomitable will and danger detection. Her oxygenated blood is silver, but as it gets deoxygenated it turns red, so if she’s injured then depending on the location/depth of the cut, it may be one colour or the other, or even a mix.

Never had a haircut! I think Dalita’s loooooong hair is cute. Mum/daughter bonding activity is that every night Kinevart spends ages brushing Lucy’s hair through and then braiding it.

Having a hard time at school but doing her best. Lucy really wants to go to college but obviously missed out on a lot of education so she struggles in most of her classes. Her best subjects are maths and biology; they just make sense to her, and she likes subjects where there’s either a right answer or a wrong one and you can work your way to it. In more essay based classes she gets stressed and doesn’t know how to formulate arguments/opinions.

Doesn’t have many friends as socialising is hard for her, but she has one good friend that supports her and tells anyone that bullies her to fuck off.

Has a penchant for balloon animals, which she learnt from Jess. Thinks of Jess as a sort of eccentric vodka aunt figure!

Very outdoorsy. Loves going on long walks in nature and collecting shells and bones and mushrooms.

Helps out at the shop after school, so she’s often sitting at the counter doing homework while customers browse.

As old as old money gets, the Murad family of New York City is largely made of politicians (you might remember Governors, congressmen, or Cabinet members bearing the name), philanthropists, entrepreneurs, businessmen lawyers, investors. A tightly-knit family— perhaps too much so. 

Accompanying greatness, nepotism and hypocrisy also follow the name; no decision made without their best interest in mind. It’s a full house on holidays, with a family this big — half a dozen uncles, more aunts, cousins and their children scattered around the New York City map. But in the household Anaïs grew up in, it’s far more intimate: 

PETROS MURAD — Father. Petros is a business magnate and political veteran respected by those who know him, and feared by those who know him well. The one Anaïs most looks up to, and so far she’s done well to check every box to make him proud. Petros hasn’t always done a good job hiding his favoritism, either. In 2022, he was ‘gifted’ the Syndicate to look after by his long-time friend (and original founder) as he had to leave for exile in France. Petros has been heading the Syndicate ever since. MADLENE MURAD — Mother (deceased). Madlene passed when Anaïs was in her early teens, so most memories of her are hazy — though her father claims they’re similar in many ways.
