“Wedding Cake” Pavilion, Waddesdon Manor, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom,

Commissioned by the Rothschild Foundation, the three-layered cake is clad entirely in ornate ceramic tiles, a craft tradition rooted in Joana Vasconcelos’ home in Lisbon.

Pâtisserie-worthy adornments like fish diving into shell bowls and corniced platforms complement lacy ironwork and pastel hues.

Part sculpture and part building, the immersive installation invites visitors to walk up winding inner stairwells and traipse around the tiers.

More Me Week Stuff! Punk rock guitar(ist), snowy baby, and a Criminal!

Whamboom, the Punk Rock Fakemon(?), Fire/Electric. Whamboom are loud, exuberant, and flashy - and utterly mysterious. The first Whamboom appeared at an Indie rock concert where the band Suspect Hinges had just brought the house down - the Whamboom literally emerged from their pyrotechnics and proceeded to create fiery effects that followed the beat. They cannot be bred or found in the wild, only summoned by sheer willpower and talented musical prowess. Suspect Hinges still has their Whamboom, which help out at their shows.

Vixdoen, the Winter Coat Fakemon, Normal/Ice. Living high in the Northern Wastes, Vixdoen will migrate down close to human settlements as the coldest days set in. Seen as harbingers of Christmas, it is traditional to depict at least one Vixdoen pulling Saint Claus’ sleigh, along with Sawsbucks and Stantlers. Their hoof-toes are brightly patterned, and their fur is soft and warm, leading to their popularity as a partner Fakemon.

Belziboo, the Prankster Fakemon, Dark Type. Often found rooting through trash cans, the cute features of Belziboo lead to many unwary people bringing it inside. However, they are usually ill-prepared for the mischief Belziboo can accomplish in a short amount of time. If not properly entertained, this Fakemon can literally gnaw its way through furniture, will sharpen its claws on the walls, and steals any shiny object it sees. Many lower level Crime Syndicate members have Belziboo, but often they flee midway through battle, as this centaur of mischief is cowardly at worst. Be prepared if you choose a Belziboo as your starter - though it is said that the evolution is well worth the mayhem…

One of the things to keep in mind if we ever happen to ship, be it as a result of the development between or muses written or discussed (which I'm open to, even if I'm not too vocal about it) is that Dain has... a lot of baggage of his own, part of which makes him self-sabotage himself despite being a logic-driven individual because he does have moments of sentimentality and when they hit, they do hard and deeply.
