What a mother's influence can impact on her child. She raised a deceitful and manipulative child to help him survive the underground world where he should have grown up.

This was heavily inspired thanks to the short clip of the Club Song that u/bionicpigyt had created during his 'making a song everyday till I'm famous' journey over on Instagram

To eli: were you surprised that your dad know about tad existence before you and never told you?

Eli tilts his head to the side, completely confused, "It makes sense in the end. Dad had secrets and didn't want to share them with anyone to keep everyone safe till they were ready to know."

To wil: if eli was ten by the time you fell into the deep caverns how old was tad at the time?

Will shook his head, "I guess 7 or 8."

To wil: why didn't you tell eli beforehand about tad?

Will pinches the bridge of his noses between his fingers. "I was told by Knox that Tad wouldn't be an issue. Eli was ten when I fell into the Deep Caverns. I didn't want Eli to worry over things that were under control of the Sawyers."

In twisted ends or your universes in general, how did eli and trixie get together? I mean, I agree they canonically have great chemistry to begin with, but what changed in order for them to upgrade?

Eli and Trixie started off as friends as we see in the TV series, but their feelings seemed to blossom more after seeing their other gang members, Kord and Pronto, end up in relations with the two added OC stars of the Twisted Ends series; Mira and Katrina respectively. The two have always had a close bond where Trixie would be the first to console Eli if anything happened. Eli knew he could rely on Trixie to be there as leader whenever he wasn't around. Plus the two of them love the slugs as much as the other... well, Eli more as stated by the creator of the series.

At the end of the Twisted Ends fanfic, Trixie tells Eli her true feelings before he leaves the gang for the surface, mainly to spend a fortnight with his parents. The two share a kiss and the rest is pretty much that.

To Stocker: Has Alexa met her grandparents (your parents) at all?

Or do you try to avoid that since you don't really want her to get into the hunting business from the looks of it?

Stocker sheaths the photo back into his pocket and sighs. "Once when she was still just an infant. My parents are dedicated to the hunt but have said they wanted to see Alexa more. However, they're not fond of my ex-partner."

To Stocker: How's your relationship with Alexa doing right now?

Stocker huffs a bit before his face softens up. "We have a good relationship, and that's all I could ask for. She understands that she doesn't have both a full-time mother and father. I don't want her to see the things I do. She knows that. But she tries to break through and join my hunts, even when I tell her to stay home since her mother would be picking her up soon. She's getting into her rebellious stage."

To Stocker: Are you ever gonna be apart of your kids life again?

Stocker is staring at the photo still, his train of thought stationed.

"I want to. I truly want to see her grow up. But it's difficult with her mother. I am able to see her, but that's a rarity of a month if I'm lucky. She had earn custody to our daughter, which I rather a permanent roof over her head than being stuck in these harsh conditions."

Ripper and Howler stir, the duo rubbing their heads against their owner's legs. He leans down to pet them, smiling small.

Wait I just thought, when you use the Slug translator what does Mo talk about exactly?

That's entire barrel of fun to talk about what the slugs yap about when their slingers have their Slug Talkers on!

Mo probably talks about the most random facts. Like how many washing machines wide a hole is, or how kale is a super food. But then he could talk absolute nonsense in situations. Like the Shane Gang falling into a deep pit? Mo's over here like 'Oh wow, the crystals look beautiful today! I think my beloved would love one.' He looks to the Shane Gang screaming. 'Oh wow, these guys would be great in a horror movie! I don't like a lot of horror movies.'

But then, sometimes what he does say can be the most inspiring or helpful thing. Eli's having doubts about finding his dad? Mo says something like 'You know, from what Burpy tells me, your dad would want you to keep saving the day. Make him proud. He knows he can trust you and he will keep fighting as long as you do.'

Eli would take that speech to heart, which then Mo will either zone out or get distracted by another thing.

And I just realised... I've characterised Mo like he's Kinger from the Amazing Digital Circus XD

To Stocker: Have you ever been in a relationship or are you currently in a relationship?

Stocker rests by his camp, his slughounds, Howler and Ripper, are asleep near the fire. The bounty hunter turns his head towards the camera.

"A relationship only leads to problems," he huffs.

His eyes reflect the crackling fire, something he lost long ago.

"Some problems. I don't feel a need to have a relationship with anyone. But."

His hand slips into his vest's inner pocket and produces a small torn photograph. Within it, it is Stocker holding a small baby girl with short blue hair. The other adult's head, likely the mother, is covered by the rip.

"Somethings you stay in a relationship for... for the good of someone you truly love. I am a lone wolf. But I rather not let the same thing happen to her outside of her own choice."

To Gent: How good are you as a chef? And have you working at Mari's pizza place from time to time?

The Gentleman tucks his hands neatly behind his back, the man dressed in causal wear and an apron. He stands behind the counter of Ricochet Pizza.

"I do not classify myself as a 'good chef', just rather a competent cook when making self meals."

Mario chimes in as he comes out from the walk-in freezer, "Lucas is here to help out. Both himself and me. But mostly-" Before Mario could finish, a Jellyish slug batted his face with goop. The elder brother turned to his younger, a mix of ticked off and chuckling glee.

"I rather not have my reasons spoken for me by someone else." the Gentleman bobbed his head. "I wish to learn more about food preparation to open my palette."

Mario ripped off the goo and grinned wide, "And to impress your girlfriend!"

Gent choked a bit, his face flushing red and sweat beaded on his skin. "Y-yes, that too."

Mario gave him a shoulder hug, "Hey, don't be embarrassed to say it. It's not like she watches these interviews with how caught up she is working on her thesis."

"Words cannot express how much I care for you, my friends. You have opened my eyes to many new things and allowed this caged heart to soar once more. I wish I was strong enough to defend our world with you, but I am not. I am a healer. That is my duty to heal the world of illnesses and be refuge for those forgotten. I thank you all once more for letting myself journey with you in the gang and becoming my dearest friends."

Question to Will. Since you had Burpy before Eli, if you had the chance, would you like to have an Infurnus of your own? Or, if Burpy allowed, have some sort of shared partnership between you and your son?

Will is seated with Burpy on his shoulder, watching Eli and the gang slug sling. He turns to his old friend and smiles. "I'm good. I've had my fun of having an Infurnus. Plus, who cares what slugs you get? From what I've seen, Eli's made it pretty clear that no matter the slug, no matter the situation, they can win a fight. I rather Burpy be with Eli. Those two have a bond strong like ours were."

Burpy chitters, headbutting Will's neck.

"Hey- I guess 'were' was the wrong word, we're still two peas in a pod, as thick as thieves. I guess there's sometimes where I want to relive my glory days with Burpy. And we do still get some slinging in."

Will chuckles as he stands up, "Like this." Burpy beams then leaps into Will's arm blaster. The slinger runs out onto the field and fires away, the Infurnus taking flight once more.

Saw this and wanted to tack on my theory regarding the "government" body of Slugterra. The series was inspired by sci-fi but also the wild west. We know vigilantism is the main source of law in the series as the Shane's seem to just slot themselves in as the heroes. With how a lot of the characters talk, they all seem to share that what Blakk is doing is wrong, meaning that they may share a lot of laws between each cavern, like wild western towns.

We have a large group of people known as Security Slingers who will defend anyone and everyone (be it a swimming pool, the mall, the movies, etc, they'll be there according to their motto). These Security Slingers also have ties to the Stalagmite 17 guards. So Security Slingers are the "police" or least a security guard company/hire.

That also brings up the prison. Prisons are paid for by tax dollars. Therefore there are likely people being taxed in Slugterra. So there must be some form of overarching government body or least tax collector.

A disorganised government could make some sense, that or they're uncaring. They just want to live lavishly and rich just as we saw with the rich folk who wanted the Enigmo or the ones on the train. As long as it benefits them financially, they won't bat an eye. Which in turn leaves the blame onto the town representatives who try to help their towns and barely hold anything in their town treasuries. That's also how people like Judge Logan could weasle themselves into making silly laws and govern the cavern.

Dr Blakk ran a monopoly over the 99 Caverns when he revived an old mining track to become the fastest mode of transport as the Slugterrian Express. He also took power over mining companies, transport, heck probably a few food and slug farms to keep his iron fist up. People are terrified of him taking over and buckle to his sheer slinging and ghouls. They all believe that he's the one that made Will Shane die/refuse to defend the 99. He also took out a big name like Viggo Dare who used to own SlagRock Cavern. Blakk is a greedy company that continues to consume all.

There is also mentions of certain aspects of the different areas of the 99; like the civilized eastern Caverns (East Rift, Dojang Grotto, Gateway, etc) and the wild western caverns (Wildspore, Darkspore, etc). So perhaps the government just doesn't care too much for the western half of the 99 as it's easier to control the eastern portion?

Politics and Structure

Ok, not studying here because my exams are over (woohoo!), but I want to get something new up on this blog.

I figured out how Doctor Blakk gets away with all his infamousness. In this world, AKA the Surface, what he's doing is closely related to producing illegal chemical weapons, but while here we have laws that make it, you know, ILLEGAL, in Slugterra he can't get caught because either there aren't any laws to make him an official criminal, or the actual leaders are all turning a blind eye on his actions.

Ghouls are resources of power, just like guns and bombs and other whatnot. However, they're not mechanical weapons, so they're more like genetically engineered weapons like viruses. Anyone read "Russian Roulette" by Anthony Horowitz? Spoilers: Yassen's hometown was infested by an airborne chemical virus that killed everyone and then the town was wiped out by the government to cover up the illegal activities.

Yikes.

But here, Blakk's activities in using Dark Water - a strange substance that Slugterra has barely any information on except for a few ancient cave troll legends - on slugs, Slugterra's literal lifeblood, is hardly considered as a threat by any leaders.

This implies to me that Slugterra has no official leader, no government to distribute laws or any status. It only comes down to which individual or group has the most power in their hands.

Blakk has power over weaponry and also political power, having learned commerce and also being very manipulative, as shown when he told Eli how he forced people to give away their land, hence how he stole Slag Rock Cavern and turned it into his own cavern.

On to the Shane Gang.

The Shane Gang have referent and expert power as they are well known to be excellent slugslingers and are also trusted to help because of them carrying the Shane mantle, which is like a symbol of hope and justice. Everyone trusts them, and that might be why Blakk sees them as such a threat to his power. Not only do the Gang mess up his industry, they also try and expose how he's a bad guy to the public.

A flaw in the show is that they don't show much on the rest of Slugterra. We don't know who else is pulling the strings, so it's either a big bag guy or a bunch of kids grouped together to defeat him. There should be other leaders out there, like the King of Sling who doesn't do much apparently, or Judge Logan, but he also doesn't do much and is also a corrupt leader who is under Blakk's influence.

So, the worldbuilding could've had more details. The base is good, having slugs being vital to the world and the whole code for slugslingers, but we needed to see more structure, not just the sci-fi structure.

Some ideas are maybe there could've been a government, but it's extremely disorganised, allowing people like Blakk to thrive and take over without blinking an eye. There should be an actual police force to take down Blakk, but some of the officers are corrupt and the ones who aren't are killed off or have their careers destroyed by Blakk and it's up to the Shane Gang to help them and fix things up with the government.
