Kinnie Starr (Canadian/Mohawk singer-songwriter) has been accused of race-faking, and it's just like... the "anonymous source" that wrote the article fully concedes that KS was probably raised Mohawk... and then chastises her for not verifying her father's claim of Indigeneity.

And it's just like... I simply cannot see this claim of race-faking being made in good faith. I really cannot!

(Something that popped into my mind as I was writing this post: KS has said she had been dealing with a stalker. Going through someone's family history with great assiduity in order to discredit their lived experiences is... definitely something a stalker would do!)

I think Laios's father represents a version of Laios who never found people who supported him and his interests; someone who was hurt one too many times by his inability to communicate or read social cues, and has fully retracted into himself as a result.

Very similar to Laios, he's grown to prefer the company of beasts over men, and hunts for food as a means of escapism. The only difference is Laios has people to share these interests with, while his father had only his hounds. His description here especially makes him seem not particularly uncaring, just sad and lonely.

Do you think at one point he was as cheerful as Laios?

A visual effect to represent noise from off-screen (presumably a door closing) floats off to the side, and Adam walks in, dressed in a dark purple collared shirt and dark blue jeans. Lute continues looking down as if still in thought while saying, “Hey Adam.”

She reaches her hand up to grab his keys as he slouches forward with a tired frown and says, “’Sup.” As he walks past her with a yawn, Lute grips the keys in her hand in sudden realization as she looks ahead with a shadow over her face, the irises of her eyes shrunken as her eyebrows raise and her mouth turns into a thin line.

The last panel shows Lute and Adam in a simplified chibi style, Lute grinning widely and sweating nervously with both eyes closed as she says, “Ok so I may have accidentally invited over your childhood ex?” Adam stares at her with wide eyes and a dark shadow over his face as his speech balloon consists solely of an ellipsis. Lute concludes, “… Yeah, I’ll just bring Aggie over there instead…” End description.]

An introduction to my Adamsapple/Lilute Human AU (sorry for bad handwriting)

In this AU, Águeda/Aggie (Vaggie) and Charlie are teenagers.

Aggie is Lute's half sister. Lute decides to move into their father's house to take care of her after he passed away. At this point, Adam and Lute are good friends and had started a band together. So Adam, after breaking up with Eve and getting kicked out of her apartment, is invited by Lute to live with them until he can afford his own place.

Lilith and Lucifer are divorced and have had Charlie. Lucifer suffers from depression and had neglected Charlie for some years, but is now trying to rebuild their relationship. Lilith is struggling with the pressure of trying to upkeep the appearance of the "perfect, Christian mother" for her family's approval, which Lute inspires her to break free of.

In the past, Adam, Lilith, and Lucifer were childhood friends who grew up in a highly religious, upper middle-class town. Adam was abused by his father, who had broken one of his ribs at age 13. Lilith's mother uses her as an emotional crutch and pressures her to fit her idea of an "upstanding woman". Lucifer's father is a high ranking member of the church, and even though Lucifer begs him to help Adam or Lilith, he does not, saying that the Lord will guide them eventually.

When they were teenagers, Adam and Lilith started dating. It was unhealthy and messy, and Lilith eventually ended up cheating on him with Lucifer. When Adam found out, they all got into a fight. That night, Adam ran away from town, and Lilith and Lucifer never saw him again.

This is a pretty self-serving AU, apologies for that lol. Might make more comics of it, it's good practice for drawing people.
