So far, my only issue with Transformers One is that it took away the dynamic of Bumblebee being the young scout that is basically a pseudo son to Optimus.

I understand from a marketing standpoint why they'd choose Bee to be there (he's the most well known to the general public) but to me it feels so odd. Not only that but it IS him. Not like some character whom the Bumblebee we know was named after.

It's kinda funny, because me and my beloved have never prayed so hard for a character to die in a movie that isn't even out yet.

We're hoping that, because he's clearly the comic relief, he ends up dying with only his spark remaining. And from that, you get a scene of Orion (now Optimus) vowing to avenge him and give him a new body!

We can then get the dynamic like we're used to. Bumblebee still being a reckless and energetic young scout because he was literally not allowed to grow up like Optimus did.

Please tell me you guys understand!

can you imagine hearing "I have love for you" out of the blue from the person who a few weeks ago told you that you deserved to die for having feelings and being soft???

i would have stabbed izzy in the eye right then and there. but ed doesn't get mad, he turns his back on him, ignores him and refuses to engage until izzy brings up stede. that's what finally gets a rise out of him. and still he puts the gun to his own chin first, doesn't turn the violence against izzy until he tries to talk about his feelings for stede again in front of the crew. until he breaks the rules of the game he came up with in the first place, the game he decided they should both still be playing no matter how much ed wanted nothing to do with it anymore.
