Rewatched Gilda (1946) recently, and immediately thought of the bnnuy and doggo husbands. The movie is so good, there's literally only ONE issue, which I *know* would be 100% solved if the Freelance Husbands were the main characters (will probably get into why that is in a different post tho) and so, a couple or more AU ideas were born....(Including a canon divergence/never met as kids/met as young adults AU, for which I also have a fic WIP)

Really wanna make an animatic redoing the whole Put The Blame On Mame scene but with the freelance husbands, with of course, Max being Gilda. There's even an excellent song cover from Alexandre Covers at YT, a Max animation is practically begging to be made....I really wanna do it qjhHUaj.

I remember many times when my grandmother would make off hand remarks about how testosterone would make me look like a joke. that it would be funny and unnatural for someone like me to have a beard.

before that i remember my mother outing me to my grandparents without my knowledge or consent. and then having to sit with both of them on different occasions for a year while they tried to tell me i was just a masculine woman. One where they thought it was okay to ask if I'd get pregnant if a potential partner "really really wanted it 🥺" (Which. sidenote. what the actual fuck??)

i remember the day after one of those conversations my mother took me into town for a "suprise" from my grandma. and they tried to make me get my ears pierced. even when i said i didn't want to. the only reason they stopped was because i had an autistic shutdown in public and they were too embarrassed to keep trying to force me into it. That happened 2 years ago. i have very real trauma from that day.

They never cared about my gender nonconformity until i came out.

They still seem to believe that I'd only be a man if i actually secretly hated myself.

that aliyahsinterlude girl.... like sometimes she can be annoying but that's not a crime, and she has tweeted/said some kind of stupid things before but again... not a crime. but every month ppl are coming for her and like.... i kind of get it but also she hasn't done anything wrong but look cute!

i think part of the annoyance with her is her fans. when they see anyone dressing vaguely like aliyahsinterlude they start doing the "omg aliyahcore" shit like fluffy boot covers and miniskirts are not entirely HER THING i think she just stands out and was one of the first ppl to take part in the rise of these styles coming back again (although they never left) because she isn't the first or only one to dress this way, i could argue many ppl dress like her today whether they even knew of her or not....

but anyways this time some fashion company came out with a collection and she retweeted with "they should've asked me to model" and ppl arent taking too well because i guess they think its her claiming she invented the style (even tho she never said she did)

Hey y’all! I think I want to make some of my own patterns for doll clothes, but I don’t know much about fashion or clothing in general. Currently, my list of clothes I want to make patterns for is two items long, and those two items are just “bellbottoms” and “a dress? of some kind? with a circle skirt”. If you have any suggestions of types of clothes or like clothes names or things you’d like to see doll versions of, please let me know! And feel free to send me pictures or just names of things, idk what to search to find different kinds of dresses/skirts/etc

sometimes I enjoy fashion & character designs that involve primarily oversized clothing and sometimes I notice the giant hoodie that hangs off a dainty shoulder, the baggy pants with holes that strategically reveal twiggy legs, the ever-present wide croptop on a thin waist. the constant emphasis on contrasting sizes, look at me, my clothes don't express my identity as well as bare skin so look under the anonymity. my oversized outer shell only serves to exaggerate my inner beauty, my aesthetic appeal, I'm the real fashion piece. they want the big clothes without the big body they're meant for. they'll do anything to avoid being perceived as fat.

there’s just something about the angry perversion of the soft “Angel of Music” melody and the power behind the phantom’s voice that shows how dangerous this ‘Angel’ really is. his introduction— filled with beautiful music and absolute rage and jealousy— just absolutely overtakes you.

and then when it’s mixed with the degradation of Raoul as a suitor for Christine and a man in general… the phantom isn’t entirely WRONG, of course. Raoul does very much seem to know how to get along in “proper” society. but he is also willing to die for Christine at the end of the show, so he isn’t as frivolous as the phantom wants to believe either.

it’s such a good character introduction for both of them and it just GETS ME EVERY TIME

oh! my nephew stayed here last night, and he told me that his grandma's partner - the most annoying, conceited, boring man I have ever met - said he doesn't like it that I always contradict him :)

I've met this guy maybe... 5-10 times total? and every time he manages to say something even more stupid than the last! it's almost impressive! like, he thinks he knows everything. and no one ever says anything, they just let him talk because it's not worth it (I know that because almost every one of them has told me this).

but I get too pissed off when it's something I care about. and I'm an adult now, I can talk back to shitty adults, I don't give a fuck.

anyway, I just think it's absolutely hilarious that he feels that way and now I'll do it even more often :) it's very fun when I ask him what his sources are for what he's saying and he just stammers some bullshit and tries to say that's not the point (pretty sure it's 100% telegram and tik tok, because that's the kind of useless old guy he is).
