In the 9-1-1 fantasy/pirate au,

The Buddie wedding is basically just the in-AU version of Eddie putting Buck as Chris’ guardian in his will.

The wedding was mostly for ownership of property, and to put into place proper obligations to look after eachother’s family, in the case something happened to one of them, like who’s gonna look after Chris is one of them dies.

but it’s also kinda gonna be a marker for when Eddie gets properly invested in the pirate way of life.

He’s going to be former Navy, so becoming a pirate was a bit of a career shift for him, and it took him a while to adjust to the culture shock. And when he did his first thought was ‘I’m gonna marry a man’

And then he did

I like the modern fantasy concept of gods and monsters adapting to the modern world and finding new ways to thrive:

"Even if we been doing this for a while now? You are only tightening up around me more and more....." he teased that Hiccup moans when feeling it twitching again. "Are you begging to have another breeding session?" he teased.

"Mmmmm mmmmmmm maybe? Or maybe it's due to you being a wild dragon." he teased and yet, this made him groan feeling him tightening.

"Works for me.....lets hope I can make you feel good." he teased before nuzzling against Hiccup's neck.
