Happy Holidays!

This is your Sunday Snippet/Snippet Sundays because I am dyslexic, and it ruins my life every day. Also, I have been writing and drawing a lot, and I like to share because creating is an important part of human culture.

I have been working on chapter five of Elgara Vallas when I can through the holiday activities and since chapter four was released earlier this week; I won't be releasing chapter five till next Sunday.

HOWEVER

I will give a snippet from the chapter, which will be titled Gasoline. Each of my chapters have been named after songs I enjoy listening to while writing, (real creative I know), and before the snippet I will give the track list of chapters thus far for anyone interested!

There are more planned track titles, but I will let that be a surprise. At some point I was going to share a playlist with them all, but I wanted to wait for a decent amount of chapters before then. I am sharing these now because some of the track titles have multiple versions and there are some artists I wouldn't be caught dead listening to if I am being honest.

Snippet from Chp. 5: Gasoline

“When you disrupted my ritual, the magical energies pulled me here, into the Fade.” His hands balled into fists as he stood on the other side, his frustration and anger as palpable as hers but with more reigns to hold it.   

There was laughter from Ghoul that erupted from this explanation. She could not help but think that was what he deserved and how hilariously ironic it was that he would entrap himself. It was a humorous relief from all the pain and confusion her mind and body had endured within the lucid space she found herself in before this moment.  

“Good, you slimy bastard,” She took a deep breath as the laughing finally started to die down the smile on her face starting to ache but in the good way, “It took Varric and I too long to get you within our grasps. Perhaps you do not know what you have done?”

“You may laugh, but it is clear you do not understand the implications.” Solas droned on, his anger no longer as threatening with the knowledge that he was stuck here. Yet she was also here and that ceased her smile as they pondered on his words.

“Implications? Why am I here then?” She demanded, “Do not tell me I am stuck with the likes of you.”

No but forreal 2023 was the year of me reuniting my older self with my younger selfs music taste and it was cathartic

Not only do the songs still slap but they hit even deeper

listening to music i listened to when i was 14 makes me realise im still the same person but taller & with a rare esoteric wisdom that can only be gained through suffering
