Maul for the character meme if you haven't done it/been asked already!!! love u
Why I like them - Maul is just so cool. I could not wait to see TPM after all the Maul promo stuff. Waiting through all that Jar Jar for Maul to turn up was torture!
Why I don’t - what is not to love about Maul???
Favourite episode (scene if movie) - The fight scene in TPM.
Favourite season/movie - one of the best things about TCW is the return of Maul. And the fact that it's only his obsession with Obi-Wan that has kept him alive...
Favourite line - "You may have forgotten me, but I will never forget you. You can not imagine the depths I would go to to stay alive, fueled by my singular hatred… for you."
Favourite outfit - Spider Maul!
OTP - ObiMaul. It was my first TPM ship, baby me loved looking up all the pretty scanlated stuff. ♥
Brotp - Maul and Savage. Though I'd read ship stuff too, I will have to go look for some...
Head Canon - even as Palps trained him up to be evil personified, poor lonely Maul always dreamed of having a little friend. If he could have met Obi-Wan earlier he would have been just as obsessed with him, but able to be dragged back into the light because of it.
Unpopular opinion - he should have kept the spider legs, they made him look so cool.
A wish - Vader/Maul/Obi-Wan threesome. Vader and Maul just being so jealous of each other and preening under every word of Obi-Wan's praise...
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen - never write out the years he spent in the sewers ranting and raving about Obi-Wan.
5 words to best describe them - cool, obsessive, clever, cunning, tragic.
My nickname for them - just SpiderMaul.

I have some questions about karaoke night, Alex Hirsch. Very Important Questions. Which I will happily scream at a poor hapless baby triangle who can have no answers for me, and possibly also does not have object permanence yet.
Follow-up that is I guess suggestive, but let's be real here, Bill's a fucking triangle:
Dude slipped right into his birthday suit, lmao
this is so stupid :D
Anyway, I don't care what anyone says, this brilliant individual knows what's up - Bill is absolutely way more of a monsterfucker than Ford could or ever will be, full stop.

Let’s put Clover in some different hats and outfits
They actually tried putting a bell on it once, but the quiet evasive predator didn't enjoy the idea of a loud obnoxious bell attached to it's neck.
I wonder why!

The Ryoko Kui interview's reception is such a disaster over a pretty normal (yet still flawed) interview between a non-Japanese fan and Japanese artistic. This is discourse for discourse's sake, and it's no surprise that almost every Twitter user I've looked at who's using this interview to parade Kui around as a goated mangaka standing strong against Western ideology is anti-trans.
Like, I do think the interview was kinda wonky with its focus on fandom culture, which Kui clearly didn't have much interest in. But sometimes that happens. Sometimes interactions between two people, especially a fan and a creator, two people who view and interact with a piece of media in completely opposite perspectives, don't click. Does this really need to get blown up into a "West vs. East culture war" issue.
Anyways, Kui saying "I don't consider my audience's interpretations when writing. I leave it to their imaginations, but I have my own read on things too" is the healthiest, most normal thing an artist/writer who wants a non-parasocial audience could say. Artists and writers use this line all the time. If Kui didn't enjoy autistic Laius or Farcille headcanons, she would have probably voiced/signalled her discomfort, like she did on the topic of Senshi fanservice. Overall, Kui handled the interview really well. Props to her to sticking to her guns and keeping a healthy disconnect from the fandom. While I think the interviewer could've/should've been more tactful and restrained, the flaws in their questions is not a symptom of the woke mind virus trying to wriggle its way into the pure Japanese psyche. It's the sign of an over-eager fan who sees a piece of fiction differently than its creator.

Obi-Wan for the character meme!
Why I like them - He's so tragic. I mean, he's this huge pop culture hero but he never catches a break. 'Infinite sadness.'
Why I don’t - If he just stood up for himself occasionally, gave Anakin the telling off he always so royally deserved, stopped handing over all responsibility to the will of the Force... sigh.
Favourite episode (scene if movie) - I loved the new OWK show so much. He's just a sad lonely man being sad and lonely. Perfection.
Favourite season/movie - Revenge of the Sith. He gets this tiny glimpse of potential happiness - the war is gonna be over, he's a Jedi Master, he won't have to keep covering for Anakin... and then it all turns to shit.
Favourite line - "Thank you for your unsolicited opinion."
Favourite outfit - lol.
OTP - Obikin, of course. I also like Obi-Wan/Maul. ♥
Brotp - Obi-Wan and Quinlan Vos.
Head Canon - Obi-Wan spends his whole life drowning in self-imposed guilt and shame. I don't even know if that's a headcanon...
Unpopular opinion - I only like Quiobi when Qui-Gon is being manipulative and / or abusive.
A wish - Deborah Chow delivered all the Obi-Wan crying I had dreamed of. Queen.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen - he's my fave, therefore he should suffer all day every day.
5 words to best describe them - awkward, sad, tragic, lonely, pathetic.
My nickname for them - Baby-Wan

saw a take so fucking rancid on twitter i almost deleted the entire app from my phone jesus fucking christ
first of all ao3 is an archive site. this is like going to the library and saying "oh i dont like this" on every piece of media you find that you dislike and thinking they should be stamped with some sort of a marker just cause you didnt like it
you can always click back and leave. fic writers owe you nothing to explain themselves and their creations. if they have mistagged or miscategorized fics, then i understand, however there are report tools for that instead of yelling at the artist tbh
im not saying free works arent necessarily above criticism. but this is just. fucking wild. its common courtesy to just enjoy stuff (or fucking leave if you dont, the back button is free) and if the artist specifically asks for critiques, then give one - constructive that is, shitting all over someones work is not proper criticism, mind you
i just find it fucking wild people are treating art and archive sites as social media these days like this and everything needs to be policed and ~catered to the algorithm~ like. no. ao3 doesnt have an algorithm. you should be able to fucking tell what you like and what you dont like and steer away from that kind of content and let people fucking be with their art. they dont owe you anything (except trigger warnings i'd argue, but i know some people disagree with that as well for some reason), and imagine how much more energy you'd have if you only engaged with things you liked and spent time looking at instead of going to places where you dont enjoy yourself. let alone spending time telling other people you dont enjoy what they enjoy. what a fucking life
