So I stayed up trying to finish this before Lantern Festival is actually over for me (failed lol) But here it is!! I translated the opening song as well (using references from radishtears)

Lamia (Spending Your Birthday)

The tide whispers in the evening breeze, and the swimming fish swims between the waves. There is a piece of blue in everyone's heart. It that piece of blue the sea or a shy figure?

My eyes are falling, the dusk is enveloped in the ocean, and the waves are surrounding the rocks.

The waves whisper and reflect the light in the distance. The world was so quite except for the chirping of gulls.

No text messages, no shouts, no deafening smoke. Sitting on the edge of the reef, swaying the fishing rod in my hand, I was lost in thought at the peaceful world.

At a certain moment, the fishing rod moved suddenly and subconsciously exerted force. A sea fish bit the hook and was lifted out of the sea amidst the splashing waves.

Skk: Huh? (Check the hooked fish)

The head is huge and flat, with a flesh-like protrusion on the top, like a lantern-like structure. There is also a row of sharp teeth on the edge of the mouth, with the tips pointing inwards...

Comparing the trophy on the hook with the encyclopedia information in my impression, there is no doubt that this is an anglerfish.

Skk: (Sigh) Lamia?

The tentative call failed to elicit any answer, only a burst of imperceptible small bubbles emerged from the seawater on the side of the reef.

Lamia: Because... because you have been sitting here for a day, and you seem to have gained nothing.

Lamia whispered, raising her head and glancing this way from time to time, as if she was afraid that if she said the wrong thing, she would be hooked by the fishing rod.

The beautiful eyes were full of surprise, and Lamia's serious tone without a hint of teasing instantly broke through the fisherman's shameful show of force.

Skk: ......Please stop talking. Have you been watching here for a long time?

Hello and happy new year!! (≧∇≦) ☆ TGCF AD S3 is here!!

Sorry about the very slow updates, life has been kinda hectic the past few months and I didn’t anticipate it to twist and turn the way it did lmao.

For anyone who didn’t know, TGCF AD S3 is back on March 21st!!! Which is great!!! But it makes me look like a fool because I said I wanted to tl S1&2 before S3 came out 😭 I genuinely did not expect them to release it so quickly (S2 literally ended four months ago?!)

They’ve released an official schedule for the next two months. I did a quick translation of it below👇🏼 I’ll try my best to release the tls asap for these new snippets (hopefully on Youtube, without getting copyrighted 🙏🏼)

So they’ll be releasing extras for the new season Jan 28th - 31st, Feb 1st - 4th, 12th (Lantern Festival day !!). Then the first preview will come out Mar 4th, and the second one will come out Mar 12th. The first ep is on Mar 21st, the second one is on 28th.

As the new season comes out, I’ll focus on that and in between I’ll catch up on S1 & 2. So follow me for updates! Lmk if you want to be added to a tag list :)

absolutely. Basically: I think seb/eustace's story and character arc becomes so much more compelling if you decide to headcanon her as a closeted trans woman/trans fem.

Her narrative is all about growing up wanting the approval of a cruel, stifling parent. (edit: It's important to note her father is specifically a macho, very patriarchal personality!) Of course, her father doesn't give a shit about what she wants. His expectations of her boil down to her being useful to him. And so he undermines her, verbally abuses her so she stays in line. Becomes an extension of him.

Once she finds friends/community who truly cares about her, she gets the help she needs and moves past needing that approval and stands for herself, her own truth. And only then does she truly grow and bloom.

Okay you got all that. Good. Now doesn't this story sound like a very common transgender childhood <3

Also I really love the idea of her growing into a really beautiful elegant woman... who is sometimes kind of a dork who calls people losers and has a silly laugh ^_^ (and if you are in the eustace-universe. she is changing the HECK out of that name first chance she gets)

The whole “The Marauders where teenagers when they bullied Snape!” Argument is the same as “Boys will be boys.”

I’m currently a 15 year old, teenage boy. The same age as the Marauders when their school years are shown in the canon. No matter how much I hate someone, I would not THINK of bullying them.

“It was a different time!” Erm… human empathy as always existed, they just lacked it.

They did not even mature! Sirius and James still mocked Snape well into their adult years! People hate on Snape for telling Voldemort the prophecy, but when he realized his mistake, he did all that he could to do make sure Lily (and begrudgingly, James and Harry) made it out alive. Pettigrew is ultimately the reason why both Lily and James died.

Snape is the most human (said by JKR herself) out of the entire cast. His reactions are human. I find it so infuriating when people water down his characters into nothing more than an obsessive creep. (Which is in no way canon! Please still to CANONICALLY facts for FUCKS SAKE.)

I am by no means saying that Snape is this saint, and that he has done no wrong. He has fucked up a shit ton, and he is an asshole 90% of the time. I’m saying that if I experience the shit he did, I wouldn’t be surprised if I came out the same way.
