Still on the revelations about the "Frozen Podcast: Forces of Nature", it is mentioned that the original idea was that Disa's motivations would be a consequence of the end of "Frozen 2" where the water that Elsa prevented from destroying the castle would go to Sankerhus and would be the cause of all the chaos in the kingdom.

There is a certain theory that in "Kingdom Hearts 3" it would be Elsa who would transform into the boss Sköll and not Hans as it is in the game. The theory is a bit long and it's been a while since I read it, but it basically talks about how the person who created this theory believes that Disney changed who would transform into the giant wolf just because Elsa had become very popular and they were afraid that it would tarnish her image and this matches the exclusion of this plot in the podcast which was for the same reason.

Disney not wanting to include shades of gray in Elsa's character is something that pleases me since I hate the theories about her becoming corrupted and becoming a villain… But at the same time: in KH3 her becoming a "monster" would make sense with the game's plot about hearts and the plot twist involving her, and it would also be a representation of her losing control and the game adapts "Frozen 1". And in the podcast, with this exclusion again makes the ending of "Frozen 2" kind of inconsequential: there are rumors that Disney excluded the ending where the wave would destroy Arendellle Castle and make Anna rebuild it by uniting the cultures just because they were building a park, and now a drastic consequence that would come from this with another kingdom being hurt was excluded again.

While I don't want Disney to give Elsa shades of gray or villainize magic, I think it's wrong to be hesitant to put more drastic consequences into place. I don't think the Eternal Winter itself from "Frozen 1" even explored the problems it caused in Arendelle and we don't even need to talk about the chaos that the spirits caused at the beginning of "Frozen 2" since they were all forgiven when their motivations were discovered. This is the kind of situation that I don't think we'll ever be able to really expect from the "Frozen" movies at least when we talk about good people using magic since the accidents involving their powers will always be minimized… Maybe that's why the concept art for "Frozen 3" is giving so much the impression of new people with powers who can finally talk openly about the chaos that magic can cause without being afraid of hurting the image of some relevant character.

I just abandoned the entirety of the Elsabela fandom, after having named the pairing when it first came to existence. My apologies.
