Piro the Nightmaren Pirate (2023)

Basic description about Piro:

He's an goofy airhead that lives in Bootleg where he has all of his loots and hoards of random things (and creatures), he makes friends by "stealing" you away to his ship (unless you totally vibe with him stealing with you then he doesn't do that and instead does it with you), he's practically a harmless goofball, the only thing terrifying about him are some of the questionable actions or transformations he commits (aka "cursed" things that might disturb some), other than that he has no ilwill of harming anyone really! His little comrade, Cheesecake a Nightopian usually hangs around him (he stole her too, which Cheesecake came to accept and ends up practically living with him), Cheesecake is more of the "voice of reason" despite Piro not being able to understand her gibberish.

He is more of a neutral character, not taking on either side, more of a Middle Man, he stays aloof with everything and generally just does whatever he feels like doing (aaaaand the fact that he practically sucks at helping Visitors or serve Wizeman due to his lack-of-brain-cells).

How did Piro end up with these ideya shards? Well, he either broke them accidentally or came across the shards and ended up accidentally having them fused to his body when he picked them up.

Cheesecake the Nightopian (finished 2024)

Nothing much is known about this little Nightopian, other than that Piro stole her (take her in) as well given the name Cheesecake by the jester pirate. She speaks Nightopian, unfortunately Piro has no idea what she says, however, despite this she chooses to hang around the weirdo, even if it took her a while to trust a Nightmaren that kidnapped her. Cheesecake often hangs around Piro and tries to keep him out of trouble, even if she fails.

Posting those headcannons was fun, so im gonna try to keep the ball rolling. Here are my OC's in the 'popular place' in their respective worlds.

🦋Betty Locera (Cuphead Universe)🦋

~The Devil's Casino~

Honestly the chances of Betty going into the Devil's Casino are pretty low... just like I imagine what the other debtors must have thought before they made a gamble.

Even so, the only reason I can imagine Betty coming here is if she was pretty desperate. Whether it be saving the brothers' lives by taking on their debt, or just trying to earn enough money to help her family if they needed it.

Unlike Cuphead, Betty would be able to quit before she got too ahead of herself. Especially if/when the Devil himself appeared to raise the stakes. She'd just gather her earnings and go cash out the next chance she got and hope that that would be the one and only time she had to go in the casino.

One a side note: Betty however is a fan of Dice's show 'Roll the Dice'. She mainly listens to it on her radio, but she would love the opportunity to see one of his shows live. Hopefully she won't get picked as a sacrifice volunteer.

🔎Detective Sketch (Cuphead Universe)🔎

~The Saltbaker Bakery~

Sketch wouldn't go in the casino even if their life depended on it... But they do like baked goods once in awhile, and Chef Saltbaker is known as the greatest chef in all the isles.

They definitely agree with the rumors. The sweets make them come back more often then they usually would have- which in and of itself isn't a whole lot, but it's still noticeable. Not to mention the fact that it's a nice and calm atmosphere compared to the hustle and bustle of the city, and they definitely can appreciate that.

Sketch does get a strange feeling everytime they enter the bakery though, especially with Saltbaker himself. It's a feeling they always have gotten when something isn't right... As such, they've made it a note to keep an eye on the chef. Just in case. That means they have to come to the bakery more often, so why not buy a muffin or two while they're here?

🌼Prism (NiGHTS into Dreams)🌼

~Delight City~

Honestly the atmosphere and lights themselves would be enough for Prism. The entire Nightopia looks breathtaking, it'd be enough to help her relax and loosen up after a whole cycle of fighting nightmaren.

She wouldn't understand gambling though. Why would visitors be willing to put so much on the line? Sure they can gain alot, but what if they lose? What then? Though she is also curious, so I can see her wanting to try at least once to fully understand. However, this place is still a Nightopia, so it's only a matter of time before Prism is back on clock and defending the nightopians and visitors from the nightmaren.

All in all, she can see the appeal but she much prefers natural nightopias, like forests, as her relaxation spots.

🐰Poppy (Who Framed Roger Rabbit)🐰

(Poppy's gonna get two since she is technically a Disney OC and I love the idea of her visiting The House of Mouse, but since she wasn't made in a Disney studio it would be more accurate if she would go to The Ink and Paint Club instead)

~The Ink and Paint Club~

The Ink and Paint Club is, as stated by Mr. Maroon, 'strictly humans only', and the only staff we see in there are toons, so the only way Poppy would get in I think is if she was an employee. She has stage fright and a bad past with show business, and she has no experience with mixing drinks, so her position would be a waitress or whatever Betty Boop's position was; offering other items to patrons to help them further enjoy themselves. (would Betty count as a waitress? She was offering cigarettes and cigars so I'm not sure if she would have a different job title or not.)

Even though she is working, she still technically has a front row seat to all the shows, so she'd still be able to enjoy them a bit. She's definitely fond of the musical performances, as long as no toon pulls out a canon in the middle of the show.

Although she has anxiety, she does enjoy being able to chat with pleasant company. She'd be too nervous to take the initiative though, so the other employees would have to talk to her first to get the ball rolling. I can definitely see her having a nice chat with Jessica while they're both on break.

~The House of Mouse~

Poppy is an OC for a Disney movie yes, but she's not meant to be from the Disney company, like all the other characters in House of Mouse. So the only way she's getting in here is if she was friends with one of the popular characters and they were able to bring her inside. Her anxiety would shoot through the roof when she sees that random people can get seated together- unless they're in a group. She would constantly be apologizing to her table mate(s) for little things and barely speak a word in fear of interrupting or irritating them. So Poppy actually being able to enjoy herself depends on who she gets seated with.

She would definitely get along with all of the Disney princess'. Is that even a question? (She's an animal toon, and like 90% of the princess are great with animals. It's destiny.) She would definitely love sitting with Belle the most though, they both can gush about their favorite books. If she were to sit with a villain though, I can see her opening up best with Proffesor Ratigan and Oogie Boogie. Ratigan because of the intelligent conversations they'd have and how gentlemanly he can be, and Oogie because she absolutely adores insects and would have a ball looking at/talking about/guessing what kind of bugs he has in his body (Not to mention both villains are from films that have a bit of a darker atmosphere than what Disney is known for, so she could relate to that the most).

She would feel a bit out of place, but all it would take is a nice companion, a relaxing drink like tea or hot cocoa, and some time would break her out of her shell a bit. She definitely can see why so many characters love coming here.

What would you like to see in a new NiGHTS game?

Postgame ability to free roam ALL LEVELS without dealing with Awakers/Alarm Eggs/a potentially new wake you up "enemy." JoD doesn't let you free roam super far from my recollection, and NiD has a larger capacity to free roam by base since you can stun the Alarm Egg but it doesn't last forever. Plus the levels in NiD are small, I have tried to explore zones but straight up the areas in Mare 4 do not exist until they're called in by completing the relevant laps. You can do unlimited freeroam via a Game Shark on the Saturn version (which I have done, but I don't have a capture card to show it off), which is very neat, but I'd want that to be a basic feature.

New outfits for NiGHTS and Reala because I love seeing them in new costumes.

A Jackle cameo if it wouldn't break the plot. I like the idea of getting new Second Levels every single game, but Jackle is a fan favorite. Maybe have them as a bonus unlockable skin in the vein of Reala being playable in Christmas NiGHTS on April 1st (Reala Day) sort of like Claris and Elliot were unlockable in JoD if you got all the Dream Drops. (I did, in fact, go out of my way to get all of the Dream Drops in JoD. It was a nice little addition to the game even if some of them were fiddly as HELL to get.)

I've warmed up to the light puzzle platforming as the kids thing from JoD, so I'd want to keep that in to some degree. There NEEDS to be better control over Blue Chips though, those controls felt so fiddly.

Fix the My Dream system or remove it entirely. A-Life was the reason we later got Chao, so there's no reason we can't have a Chao-adjacent system. I love the idea of which levels you play the most influences the space, but in practice the changes are so minimal it's really annoying. Maybe let some features of the level be unlockable based on X number of replays or Y score.

I don't really have any particular wants for the story. I guess "less clunky" from JoD. The original NiD is a masterpiece, even if most of the plot is hidden in the manual. I was able to enjoy its story not having the manual as a kid and having zero concept of what was really going on. Owl can stay, but they NEED to not use his voice clips to the point of annoyance.

I've floated the idea of reversing the sporty and artsy thing, ie having an artsy inclined boy and a sporty girl, before, and I still think that could be nice. I've toyed with this concept for my own fics, but ultimately after writing Journey into the Dream Within I don't think I could do anything that interesting in this concept in a way that wouldn't be retreading what I'd already written with my JoD fic. Piano boy is my vote if we gotta pick an instrument, I don't sports so idk on the girl front. (In theory you could get away with a customizable Dreamer character but given how entrenched in symbolism and how much the series leans into Jungarian ideas, this could make the levels wholeass make no sense. I'd be down for doing the Pokemon or Balan Wonderworld thing of "you have a set protagonist but can pick their appearance" though.)

Soundtrack just needs to keep consistent quality. For all the flaws of both games, the OSTs always slap. Bring back the Nightopian mood mechanic from NiD though that's awesome. Love those remixes. I'm a sucker for variations on a theme.

MAKE PARALOOPS INCENTIVIZED! Having Nightmaren eat half my Nightopians after paralooping them because it throws them into the My Dream area was annoying as hell and I hated that.

Remove Personas unless it's for cosmetics. Honestly remove Personas entirely. NiGHTS fluidly changing form in NiD made much more sense than in JoD. (Attempting to justify their existing in my fic was suffering honestly.)

I'd really like it if the game leaned more into NiGHTS' origins. Not their backstory, but the fact they're a Nightmaren. They're not all sugar and rainbows they were made to torment humans. Lean into that. More gremlin former Nightmaren energy in my protagonist please. (It wouldn't even effect their characterization much. NiD NiGHTS can be sassy too, if you make them bonk their head on the Ideya Palace enough times they'll refuse to Dualize with you.)

despite the fact i posted them months apart, all of these were drawn on the same day. these pens are such a delight to use!!! i lost them for months and now ive found them!!! well, i used 3 different brands but im talking about the tombow abt watercolour markers here. the other pens i used were poscas and uni pin fineliners (istg i have so many uni products its not even funny)

as always, my camera quality isnt the greatest, but you can tell whats going on. i wanted to try out lineless watercolour for a change. i then realised thats really hard to do with only very basic shading and an awful lot of white to draw. oh well.

im pretty sure i started this in september??? but that doesnt matter. it was an incomplete sketch for a few months. november was actually such a great month for my art, although i havent really been truly happy since september and this was my absolutely lowest point.

17th december - silver goes shoplifting

this piece was made while listening to casino park on loop. for like. the whole process. i was so upset that i used no purple that i decided to make the background and shading mostly be purple. also NEON!!!! NEON!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

and thats it for this year!!! i think this is the first year my art has actually been moderately successful online. its also the first year ive actually tagged my work so ig it was kinda expected lmao. i also think i improved vastly!!! i kinda had a stagnant period from mid-late 2021 wayyyy up until may of this year, so its fun seeing how different my art has been :)

this was meant to be the first frame of an animation. then flipaclip decided not to work. anyway theres a lot of incomplete stuff from this year and this is (sort of) one of them. idk how to explain why theres 4 of me and what's going on, it makes sense (sort of) if you read the thing its based on.

i literally cannot stress enough this is the only thing i can be certain was definitely drawn in february. i would have picked a different thing otherwise, i swear. i was on a gc late at night asking who i should draw with waluigi and they gave me yoshi koopas and birdette. istg.

its funny how on one hand i dont draw tails like that AT ALL anymore, but at the same time, literally all my headcanons are there, like his fangs coming out when hes really happy, his fluffy ears, etc. the onky thing missing really is drawing fluffy arms and legs lol. as for the rest of the drawing, i think its ok. theres a few errors, particularly with the stroke, and i needed to fix the fill bucket around tbh's eyes, but this is nearly a year old now so im not fixing it. sorry.

i hate alcohol markers. they dry too quickly. so it surprised me when one day, while forcing myself to like them, i drew something i actually liked. i still love this btw!!! this is the basis for how i currently draw waluigi rn, and my art as a whole!!!

once again, weird mario fanart i made while talking to a friend late at night. the initial shirtless luigi was drawn as a joke because of a really quick shirtless waluigi my friend drew at summer school in 2022 as a joke, which is what the weird one who craves death is based on. weird as this art may be, this was such a happy time in the year for me and i miss it greatly :)

Now my intent for this character was that their gender is sorta like Nights-

But their name is Mira and they’re a Nightopian that inhabits the Ideya of Hope’s realm-

They are a physical manifestation of a child’s desires, wants, and wishes.

The skies the limit and any wish you have Mira can grant- but this is based on their willingness to grant said wish.

Since they act more so on the childish side and they choose to be difficult when given more- boring- wishes to grant.

I decided to add the chao because both NiGHTS and the chao have sharp teeth, and one of the types of chao reminds me a lot to NiGHTS.

I’m going to mostly focus on Theos here, but if you really are curious about Richard, let me know! I just. I felt bad cause I was drawing a reference of Theos but it took a while and I couldn’t really get to Richard, sorry;;

Okay, so a little bit of history for this;

These characters are two parts of a trio that I made with @celestriakle waaaay back when we were both in the NiGHTS fandom. These characters were based off of Wizeman the Wicked, the big bad final boss of “NiGHTS into Dreams” and “NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.” If you want to watch a let’s play of the latter (as it actually has story/a narrative to it where as the first game has only game play. Older games had their stories mostly written in the little booklets that came with the games) you can watch this here. NiGHTS is like, the OG purple gremlin child and they are such a mischievous delight. The game sadly hasn’t aged well and wasn’t like, the best of games, but I still hold it fondly to my heart and I’d say it’s got some great concepts.

Anyway! If you want just a very rough summary and not watch 5 hours of a game; Wizeman the Wicked is the self-proclaimed god of Nightmare, which resides in the Dark Ocean underneath the Dream Gate. The Dream Gate allows dreamers (called “visitors” in the game) to enter their dream worlds of paradise (or, more accurately, worlds created by the reflections of their hearts) called “Nightopia.” However, Wizeman is constantly sending his creations, “Nightmarens,” to steal fragments from the hearts of visitors (these fragments being called “Ideya,” and are Courage (Red), Purity (White), Blue (Intelligence), Growth (Green), and finally, Hope (Yellow). The Ideya of Courage allows visitors to unlock their first Nightopia, and if they can gather the remaining Ideya, they can unlock new dream worlds. In these dream worlds are little creatures called “Nightopians,” which are like… fairies, I guess, to simplify things. There’s also an owl creature that doesn’t have a clear origin, and his name is…. Owl. Real creative, I know.

Another thing–SPOILERS, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED FOR THE NIGHTS GAME, STOP READING AND WATCH THE VIDEO AND COME BACK TO THIS–that is important to note here is the Nightmaren. There are three levels of “nightmaren”; Third levels - the weakest enemies, the ones you find wandering Nightopia that get in the way/stage enemies; Second levels, which are “boss marens” and are the Nightmarens who have taken the ideya from the protagonist visitors and are keeping it hidden in their lairs, and finally, First level Nightmaren; to which there are only two. A pair of “twins,” if you want to call them that. Reala is the first of the two; he is very loyal to his “master”, Wizeman, and is considered the general of the nightmaren army. He’s portrayed as cruel and even sadistic in a way. The second first level Nightmaren? NiGHTS themselves.

NiGHTS is a renegade Nightmaren that has rebelled against Wizeman for an obscure reason. Fans love to speculate on it, but there is no real “canon” reason, only hints that NiGHTS might be more ashamed of where they come from than they’d like to let on.

Why is this important? Because it ties in to Theos, and consequently, Richard and Cyrus–Celest’s character, though I won’t talk much about him here since that’s her muse/character so go ask her about him if you’re really that curious. Either way, I’ll note here that Theos, Richard, and Cyrus are all “parts” of Wizeman. Think of Steven Universe and “fusions”, except this was created long before Steven Universe was airing. So Wizeman is a “Fusion” of these three characters--though the three “humans” that make up Wizeman are called “The Fragments.”

Anyway! Moving on.

The initial translation of the “NiGHTS into Dreams” biography for Wizeman was mistranslated, I do believe, but it suggests that Wizeman is a “Visitor with no Ideya” and among the first intelligent life form to exist in the world of dreams. Long before I even met Celest, me and an ex friend/boyfriend (don’t ask) of mine laughed at the idea, but them we started pondering the logistics of that information, and created Theos. He worked on the original story for Theos (which I can’t remember for the life of me, it’s all been scrapped though) and I made up a design.

So for reference, here is what Wizeman the Wicked looks like.

Here is what Theos used to look like. Be warned, it’s old as shit art! Wow, this art is almost ten years old, holy shit–

And this is what Theos’ current design is, plus a very sinister looking goop monster.

The first design you see on the most modern design (the more obviously human looking form) is Theos when he was alive. His eyes are actually a dark, dark brown, but they are hazed over. I forget the technical term for it, but anyway, it left him blind. This was kind of a problem, a huge problem, for Theos--because he was born during the age of Sparta.

For those of you who don’t know, Spartans were very vicious awful, and if an infant was born with a clear deformity or disability, they were doomed to be abandoned in the wilderness and left to die. Theos was born blind, and very visibly so. However, his mother had died during child birth, and her last request was that her baby live a happy life. To honor that request, Theos’ father convinced everyone that his child was a prophet of the gods, and that his blindness was due to an ability to predict the future via his dreams. He warned that the gods would strike Sparta down with vicious rage if they killed the baby boy, and that when Theos does pass on from the realm of the humans, he will report his life back to the gods. He managed to convince them that Theos was, indeed, a prophet, and he was an exception to the rule for about eight years.

However, his father had grown resentful and hateful of his son for “killing” his wife, and making his life a living hell, so he decided that he was tired of it all and threw Theos into a river, where he drowned.

Before Theos had died, he discovered the dream gate, and discovered that he was a lucid dreamer. He created a creature he named “Owl” (yes, this gives Owl an origin story) and had all five of his Ideya before he died, thus had access to all of his Nightopias.

However, when he died, he hit his head on a rock and fell unconscious just before he drowned, and a remarkable series of events occurred.

First, his mind and soul went to the world of Dreams.

Second, his lucidity started to violently lash out, as he himself was panicking and in a lot of pain, and started to change his “body.”

Third, all of his Ideya started shattering.

With the unique circumstances of his death, Theos’ soul transfered from the waking world to the dream world just before he died, sacrificing his Ideya to stabilize his form as a “creature of dreams” instead of as “a visitor.” 

From there, after the horrid traumatic experience, Theos tried to seek comfort in his nightopias--nightopias that no longer had Ideya to support them, and thus were destroyed. Devastated by the fact that the world of dreams basically rejected his being, Theos threw himself into the Dark Ocean--the Sea of Nightmare--and was engulfed in the madness below.

This is where the fourth and crucial yet remarkable event occurred. You see, the goop monster depicted in the drawing I did is called “Dream Force.” The state of it in that picture, is when it takes on the negative thoughts and feelings of visitors, thus turning it into sludge and into “nightmare” force. This is a personal creation and headcanon of mine, but I imagine that the Dark Ocean is basically made up of “negative” Dream Force--or, Nightmare Force.

Now normally, when visitors die in a similar manner like Theos, they don’t last long in the dream world. Their souls eventually lose power and fade as they finally pass on to the next life. However, Theos was the first visitor to have “tamed” the Nightmare Force through his own lucid powers, and using the Nightmare Force as energy, he was able to survive for centuries--but at a cost. Being surrounded by nightmares, horrible, violent thoughts and feelings, and all that good stuff, only fueled the hatred and despair he felt. So, Theos grows more and more angry, hateful and resentful of the human race, wanting to be rid of it. 

That’s basically his story, tbh! I don’t really know what to do with him, though me and Celest are planning a rp-to-fic thing of the Fragments, so he might just star as a NiGHTS oc. 

Sorry this took so long to get to :’D I hope that satisfies you curiosity about Theos at least. I might do Richard another time.

I've been seeing people post their NiGHTS OC's here, so I'm gonna give it a go.

I actually have multiple OC's, but I'm going to talk about my most developed OC. My nightopian named Prism (who I was inspired after seeing @squiderdoodle OC Void, shes really great!)

Before I show her picture (drawn by @marshmallow-biscuit-blog, thank you very much!) Shes not a regular nightopian. If anyone remembers my first NiGHTS into Dreans headcannon post, I said that I have a headcannon that nightopians have their own subspecies like the nightmaren, with the humanoids being referred as celestials (I'm still debating on whether or not to call them that, but I'm leaning more towards that name due to the fact I imagine their all solar based).

Ok, without further ado, heres Prism!

(The only thing you cant see in the pic is how long her hair is (down to her ankles) and her white ballet shoes (the kind with the ribbons you tie around your legs)) This is what I imagine her NiD look to be, but I'm still trying to figure out what her JoD look would be.

Now, onto her backstory.

The celestials were once high in number, acting out as guardians of the night dimension. However, after Wizeman died in a coma and his soul still remained in the dimension, he started his goal to take over the very place he was trapped in. Once he started gaining power, the celestials first tried to reason with him, but by then he found a way to consume others' energy, and started killing off the celestial species to gain their power (thats how he gained his godlike powers).

As he created more and more nightmaren to steal more and more ideya, the night dimension itself had started creating a new celestial (I cant remember if I've already mentioned it, but I imagine the night dimension to be alive, more so then our own earth). This new celestial was Prism. However, she was created in a secluded area in a Nightopia, so no one had really been able to find her. It wasn't until an awakener who would later become her friend found her and brought her to Owl, who then raised her and taught her everything she needed to know about her world.

She was relatively happy, she made quick friends with the normal nightopians, she saw Owl as a father figure, and she was safe and happy in her home at the Dreamgate. However, around the time she came of age, she encountered a nightmaren for the first time in her life, while they were terrorizing visitors and stealing ideya. After that day, she had decided to become a guardian of the night dimension, just like her ancestors, and protect Nightopia and visitors.

She was powerful to fight against third levels with no problem and second levels easily after she got used to them. As such, Wizeman decided to create the two first levels NiGHTS and Reala. Now those two, since they were made to be far more powerful then a second level, turned out to be quite difficult for Prism to fight against. The most she could do was provide a distraction for them while any visitors or nightopians in the area could get away.

Due to her experiences, Prism had started believing that nightmaren were a inherently evil species. Even though Owl tried to teach her to not think that way, it was hard for her to see the nightmaren as anything but evil. Until NiGHTS rebelled that is.

Of course, she didnt trust them at first, always keeping a close eye on them. But as they proved that they really had a change of heart, Prism started trusting them more and more. Soon enough, the nightopian had actually befriended the rebellious nightmaren, and finally learned what Owl was trying to teach her. Now, she wishes to try and protect all of the night dimension, not just Nightopia.

Now with her backstory done, here are some random facts about her.

She is 4'7, even though shes an adult (I headcannon all nightopians, from the animals to the pixies to the celestials, to be small in comparison to the nightmaren)

Prism is very naive, not in the 'everyone is good' way, but in the fact that she can take things at face value (like how she saw the nightmaren before NiGHTS rebelled). However, she is always willing to learn, and is more than willing to admit her mistakes and will do her best to make them right. She is also a very kind hearted person and would protect and care for her loved ones (family, friends, etc). As such, she can be seen as innocent at times.

As you can see, her wings dont look like a normal nightopians' wings. I imagine humanoid nightopians have more like dragonfly wings rather then butterfly wings.

She is a very sweet person, but she does have a temper. It can take alot to make her lose her temper (or only a little, depending on what is making her angry) but when she loses it, she proves just how loud tiny people get. She can also be very stubborn when she wants to be.

She is also much more of a 'by the book' sort of person then NiGHTS is. It's why they compliment each other well, she helps them be more serious, and they help her be more playful (that's not to say she doesnt know how to have fun, she often plays with the nightopians when she has free time. But she takes her job very seriously, and can often times come off as a workaholic. So NiGHTS is able to help her relax when she needs it.)

The reason why she was named Prism is because of her light based powers: She can summon light, and can even use this to her advantage when fighting for both offense and defense, but she can not actually bend light itself. Her colors will also change depending on her mood/mental state (her colors will look brighter when happy, they will look drained when depressed, etc). If you look at her appearance, you'll notice that she actually looks like the sky, (sky blue eyes, sun hair, etc).

She has her own invisible instrument! A tambourine! She also she enjoys singing and dancing. Especially when it's a celebration of some sort (I'd compare her voice to Miss Acacia from Jack and the Cukoo Clock Heart, especially in the song 'Flames with Glasses'). She also loves reading, and could spend hours going through her favorite pieces of literature.

She us a very upbeat and positive person, despite picking up on some of Owl's anxious habits (like overthinking things). She has a very high energy and is very sociable, but she always makes sure to focus on her work.

Since the night dimension itself created her, she feels at home when shes outdoors, especially in woodlands or fields, almost as if she feels a connection with the world (she cant communicate with the dimension though, she just loves the outdoors)

The awakener that found her is really small, small enough to hide in her shoulder. His name is Peonie, and he is really shy and a bit of a scaredy cat, but he is protective of Prism and will often accompany her on her patrols or outings when he's not doing his own duties, despite the risk of running into a nightmaren.

NiGHTS: the Dream Rebel trailer

Owl (v/o): There’s different something about you.

(Cut to NiGHTS walking through a mall Dream, with Nightopians [portrayed here as resembling elves and fairies] flying to and fro around them.)

Owl (v/o): You’re not like the other Nightmaren.

(Sega logo appears. Cut to NiGHTS and Owl in a room full of books, some on shelves and some on the floor in stacks.)

Owl: I have no doubt the answers you seek are here.

NiGHTS: Am I really one of Wizeman’s creations...?

(Cut to several Nightopians in the midst of what can only be called a war council. Owl and NiGHTS are present as well, sitting off to one side.)

Nightopian Commander: We can’t stop Wizeman alone.

NiGHTS: I can help, if you’ll let me.

NiGHTS: We’re not what you think we are, Reala.
