Currently obsessed with the idea that Taylor wrote Carolina during the folkmore period being inspired by Where The Crawdads Sing (listen I know....) because she couldn't put the book down and was inspired by "the juxtaposition of [the character's] loneliness & independence. Her curiosity & fear all tangled up. Her persisting gentleness & the world’s betrayal of it" and having a glimpse now into how difficult those years were for her personally and those same themes showing up in songs like Dear Reader, Midnight Rain, How Did It End, I Look In People's Windows, Clara Bow, etc. I'm just saying it's no wonder it ended up on the B Stage (the day after I got home from my trip BUT I DIGRESS I'M NOT BITTER I SWEAR) and it ended up on the pre-release Depression playlist because... yeah.

yes, i love mde. yes, its my favorite of the mafia trilogy. yes, i can say with 100% conviction that objectively… tommy is not an interesting character. for him to be the protagonist, he sure does have no depth to his character written in the game

#Yeah sorry guys #brain decided tonight is a Think About Fresh kinda night <3 #new age specifically ofc #TAG LORE DUMP SURPRISE-#So Fresh is the middle brother. is he *actually* related to Geno and Error? shockingly yes! they're blood! but while Geno and Error got #magic relating their magic to the world around them. Fresh relies on the world around him to sustain his magic. His soul is weak and #has been since childhood. One day he went missing out in the woods and Geno had to go searching for him. only to find that there was... some #*thing* on his soul. in this AU the parasite acts to keep Fresh alive. Fresh is its host and in turn it siphons magic out of nature (and #on occassion threats to him). The Parasite is a sort of nature spirit (a much younger brand of entity like the Tree of Feelings) and it #Chose Fresh. so. Fresh can go out and “speak' with Beasts of magical origins. he just understands them. they're drawn to him. and he befrien #ds the ones he can and slays the ones he can't. Dangers to his bros are no-goes.#He stays out so often tracking beasts because he relies on moving. by staying in one place he devours life like a plague.#Geno and Error had such powerful magic they were unbothered. but if Fresh stood too close to a person with low magic for a few minutes too #long? he could kill them from exposure alone. so he avoided traditional school. and towns. and guests. like a cryptid #chasing Error put a lot of people at risk but he cared for Error more than anything.#and yeah. Fresh has a couple friendly beasts that will homing-beacon to him if he reaches for their magic but he prefers to be alone when he #is able.#he's just so silly and goofy #new age au #OH! he also has a bird he uses to send messages between his family

i cant believe im breaking my not using tumblr streak for this but its 4am and im so emotionally bamboozled by yesterday i cant sleep

im just so PERPLEXED and CONFUSED like im just overthinking everything i guess but what was THAT like am i crazy. am i CRAZY. probably but the question is if i am what do i do about it

#me #ok context so i was seeing someone for literally only a couple months earlier this year #but she had some family stuff going on so she ended it which is fine right #but we've been texting all friendly since then however i havent seen her since it was over #but she invited me to this lil holiday cookie party yesterday and 1. i do have a general rule of accepting all party invites #2. im not against doing things for the plot #so i go #tell me why i spent two hours at sitting around her kitchen table (which btw ive never seen before ive never been to her place!!)#with her two best friends?? two other people showed up later which was such a relief but jesus christ #like maybe it was just in my head but it was so so so awkward i havent felt so fucking weird about existing since i was 12 #so im sitting in these vibes for hours like i said and eventually i get outta there and i go to a bar where i. contemplate my whole life.#like i cant explain it well i just felt so strange like #anyway after i get home she texts me like thanks for coming it was good to see you :)#was it maam was it really did i make up these twilight zone antics in my head #is she just being totally normal and im being totally emotionally dysfunctional or #more broadly do i always put a huge amount of space between myself and other people one purpose #much to think about much to ponder
