Sea Sickness
Sea Sickness
Luke Hughes x fem!reader (established relationship, but still new)
Idea: Reader gets nauseous from being on the boat at the Hughesâs Lake House and snuggles up to Luke.
Requested: Nope.Â
Authorâs Note: I know Iâm bouncing around who Iâm writing for, but Iâm on a NHL spree right now. I also get nauseated if I'm on a boat or in the ocean for too long. Fun Fact: I wrote the beginning part of this on a note card while working by myself in the OR today. We had a really long case where I just had to check up on people during the middle of it (hence why I wrote this on a card because I donât like going on my phone when Iâm in the OR. It's unprofessional). I donât know any of these people personally. The closest Iâve gotten to the team (that wasnât just playing in the band at the games or when they were walking past us down the 2023 red carpet in tampa) was a tuba was talking to some of them in his plane row on the ride back from that trip (he ended up being the tuba you see in the senior picture from 2024) and one of the coaches had to share our bus on the way back from the 2023 frozen four game with his wife and two young daughters (I kept trying to get the younger one to smile at me unsuccessfully). Someone from my hotel room also shared the elevator ride up with the entire Fantilli family the night they lost that game in 2023 (I think Adam also won the Hobey Baker award that same night). Iâve also been playing my lego lord of the rings game. Anyway, enjoy this little blurb.
Tagging some of my favorite Hughes/NHL writers, love yâall.
@wineauntie @thedevilrisen @winterbarnesblog @sc0ttersÂ
I forgot to mention that this is kinda based on the cute stuff @bedsyandco writes
I'm now sad when I'm uploading this because a friend from college drumline has an incurable brain cancer. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers (he's only 19 or 20).
Requests are still open. Feedback is always appreciated. Also, tell me if you want to be part of a Tag List and Iâll tag you when I upload something new. If you want to only be tagged when I upload something for a certain character or shows, let me know as well. Â
Warning: None, just general fluff. Feeling sick on a boat.Â
Word Count: 488
Being on a boat wasnât your most favorite thing in the world, mainly because the last time you were on a boat, it got stuck in the middle of the laek and had to be towed back to shore (true story), but when your boyfriend Luke invited you to spend the weekend at the lakehouse with ihs brothers and friends, you weren't going to say no. The weekend had been filled with lots of eating, playing outside, and the boys being competitive at every game they pick up (even the old board game you brought to teach them how to play). Just trying to keep up with them all was exhausting, so thatâs how you ended up on the back of the boat enjoying the warm air instead of diving into the water again. The boys had been going back and forth between wakeboarding and chatting on the boat deck. With them supplying the lake with plenty of waves, the constand up and down was starting to make your stomach sick. You scooched over and made yourself comfortable laying your head on Lukeâs shoulder. He then opened his arms and wrapped you in his warm embrace so you could crawl on his lap and snuggle closer to his chest.Â
âYou feeling ok?âÂ
âYeah, just want to stop the constant movement.â It was getting to a point were you just wanted to stop the constant movement. It being really hot out didnât help either.Â
âWeâll head to shore soon. Then we can cool off inside.âÂ
Being wrapped up in Lukeâs embrace with his fingers gently carding through your hair or down your shoulder leaving goosebumps in their wake and shading you with his fit body definitely helped keep your mind off of your stomach and the boatâs ever shifting movements. Luke wasnât much of a pda person, but you always encouraged him to show little bits of it at least in front of his family or close friends. Â
Little did you know, thatâs exactly who was eyeing the interaction. Jack, Quinn, Trevor, Cole, and Dylan all had stopped what they were talking about in favor of watching the interaction between you two. Eventhough they were not all related, they felt like proud older brothers seeing Luke be so considerate and affectionate in front of them. Of couse theyâre all going to tease him relentlessly later about this, but they were gentlemen in regards to respecting the timing and the moment.
âJust lay down and close your eyes. Weâll be on shore soon.â You snuggled deeper into Lukeâs neck keeping your eyes closed and focused on his soft skin, his natural scent, and the way his warm body curled around yours. He even tugged on your legs to pull you fully into his lap as his large frame wrapped around your body fully encasing you in his warmth and comfort.Â
Nothing better than enjoying the summer with those you love.

game changer (national league)
MLB catcher!Frankie Morales x F!Reader
summary: itâs your boyfriendâs first big game on his new team & you canât wait to see what fun the match holds for you and your favorite player
warnings/tags: 18+ ONLY MDNI, baseball AU, light use of gendered language, good cozy fluff, lovesick & sweet!Frankie, competency kink, smutty thoughts, spicy themes, light mask & outfit kink, car sex, heavy making out, oral (f receiving), allusion to p in v, eventual!husband Frankie, lots of baseball talk
word count: 2.9k
a/n: yeah didnât think Iâd ever make a new baseball story for another Pedro boy but Iâm on that World Series championship celebration high so here we are LMAO, thanks to @tonysopranosrobe my darling for always dealing with my sports ass (ily forever Han) & to @jolapeno for always being the best Frankie enabler i could ever scream with (I adore you Jo) - and to anyone who decides to read please know I appreciate you thank you so much âĄ
This is Frankieâs first season catching as a Los Angeles Dodger. You thought heâd be playing for Miami until he eventually retired. But baseball is still a strange sport, an almost chaotic rush of chess at times with pieces switching all around.
âA team still wants me even when Iâm about to turn thirty nine. So fuck, yeah Iâll take it.â Frankie had joked then, but you knew, even for his age, heâs considered one of the leagueâs best veteran players.
Then before the trade was finalized, Frankie sat you down and told you he might be moving to LA.
âThis meansâŠwe really might not be seeing each other as often.â He muttered. âBut I can maybe try to see if Tampa can be an option.â
He was willing to find a way to stay in Florida for you. Even though you were a bit heartbroken he was leaving, you couldnât let him pass up on this amazing deal and new opportunity.
The gentle cooling California breeze now flutters all around. You wonât be able to make many trips out here often, but you wanted to at least be here for the first home game to support your favorite baseball player.
You first were introduced to Frankie at your best friend cookout. You had met her cousins Benny and his brother Will before. You were instead being introduced to all their friends, including the very handsome Santiago who insisted you call him Pope.
However, it was Frankie who stole your heart that day.
You and him had accidentally walked into each other, causing your drink to spill on him. Frantic, and so embarrassingly apologetic, you immediately went to wipe away your mess.
âI gotta admit⊠Iâve been trying to work up the confidence to talk to you. Guess the universe helped me out a bit.â Frankie had shyly said, and his words sent your heart fluttering.
It was an effortlessly sweet introduction after that, filled with easy small talk. When you asked what he did for work, Frankie explained he worked at the stadium for the Miami Marlins.
âOh thatâs cool!â You had said bright, but Benny just as bright yelled out -
âItâs cause he fucking plays there!â
Frankie had blushed furious, cussing angrily in Spanish at Benny. But what Benny said was true.
Frankie, very humbled and almost embarrassed, confirmed he did in fact play for the Marlins.
âBut Iâm just a water boy.â He added with a boyish grin.
âHeâs a fucking liar! Heâs one of the leagueâs best catchers!â Pope had then yelled proud.
You became friends with Frankie that day, but you also quickly learned about Francisco Morales.
Professional Major League Baseball player Francisco Morales.
That very first day you met Frankie your knowledge of baseball was bare bones.
Now, as his girlfriend, he jokes how hot it is hearing you talk about the game with him or anyone else.
Itâs how youâre able to mingle with the others in the large friends and family suite for the team now. The food of course is delicious, and everyone warmly welcomes you. But you want to be by the action when the game starts.
You need to be near your guy.
Frankieâs job as a catcher has him sitting behind home plate.
A catcher is an intense position. Theyâre the one person during the game that has full eyes on the field. They alone protect home plate and sometimes call pitches for the pitcher to throw. The catcher is even argued to be the commander of the field. Catchers need to be solid, almost a rock like foundation for their team.
âI only started playing catcher in high school âcause our teamâs catcher got suspended, and they needed someone, so I just did it.â Frankie had told you with a shrug.
To you though, Frankie seemed born to be a catcher.
Even as quietly warm and playful your Frankie can be, he holds a stead quiet diligence. Always watching, protective of those he cares for. Heâs hardworking and incredibly resilient.
However, there was a joke you read about catchers being stubborn because what person willingly and stubbornly sits in the same position game after game. You can greatly agree to the hidden stubborn streak Frankie holds, like stubbornly telling you he was going to fix your ceiling fan and then getting pissy when you had Benny simply do it for you.
But stubborn or not, Frankie has been the most perfect and openly communicative partner. Even with the long distance between you and him, he has always been a phone call away. He even stepped away from a pregame warm up when you called him crying and upset.
Your heart tries not to burst just thinking about him.
Then you catch a glimpse of him sliding his protective mask on, and your throat gets dry.
The first time you went to a game and witnessed Frankie in full catcher mode, you almost didnât think it was him. The mask covered his face most of the time and the gear almost made him seem bigger.
Itâs been many games since that first match, yet he still takes your breath away.
The mask covers most of his face, but you can still catch peaks of him. It does something to you knowing itâs him beneath it.
Now he takes the field in his new lovely blue catcherâs gear.
The chest guard extenuates his broad shoulders and strong chest. And if you thought baseball pants did amazing things for menâs legs and butts, the catcherâs leg guards highlight Frankieâs gloriously thick thighs and study legs.
Pride absolutely courses through you watching him behind the plate and warming up with the dodgerâs pitcher.
âCome on, catfish!â Someone from the crowd even yells his famous nickname, and your lips twitch fondly.
With your Morales jersey on, you cheer loud and exhilarated when the game starts.
Frankie is unwavering behind the plate, rarely letting any wild pitch get past him. He earns the love of his new team fast.
Especially when he goes up to bat.
The walk up song he picked to play in the stadium is Led Zeppelinâs Black Dog, and the crowd cheers electrified when it booms loud over the speakers.
As hot as Frankie looks in his catcherâs gear, seeing him in the base uniform, with his batterâs helmet on, working on his swing just amplifies the strength of his shoulder and amazing arms - youâre in awe of how absolutely gorgeous he is.
He ends up striking out, but you still cheer loud and with reassurance.
âLooking good, Morales!â You even scream, and you swear you see his lips twitch fighting a grin.
The Cardinals take the lead fast with two runs. The game becomes a slow claw to catch up. By the fifth the score hasnât changed with St. Louis leading. But then the bats get hot and the dodgers manage to get on the board to tie.
The game heads to the bottom of the eight inning and the atmosphere dances electrified with the hope of a chance.
Eventually two players get on base with two outs, a very dangerous situation.
And Frankie goes up to bat.
You along with the rest of your section close by the field stand to cheer him and the rest of the team on.
This is a chance to score.
The first pitch comes too high.
The second speeds in, a sharp inside pitch that has Frankie swinging a strike.
It stings, but itâs a good swing. Plus thereâs still time, more pitches. You reassuringly rally behind Frankie hoping just an inch of your words reach him among the buzz of the game.
The pitcher throws the next pitch, a wild breaking ball.
Frankie swings. The bat hits the ball with a rattling whack sending it zooming right along the first base line.
The stadium erupts wild. You scream watching Frankie run to first then watching a player run in, scoring the run. Franciscoâs hit brought in the lead.
Your favorite player now on first base screams jubilant and punches the air elated.
The excitement of seeing Frankie bring the run in, seeing him so exuberantâŠitâs a moment coated in a glimmering confetti that cements into your soul.
The start of the ninth inning comes, and Frankie emerges behind the plate, your armored hero.
If the Dodgers manage to hold the Cardinals, theyâll win.
Each pitch, each play, has you on the edge of your seat.
At one point the batter for St. Louis hits a foul ball. Frankie flips off his mask, allowing for sight to catch the ball.
Of course the ball soared over the net into the stands unable for him to maybe catch it. But without his catcher mask on, youâre rewarded a glimpse of his gorgeous face.
Frankieâs traditional catcherâs helmet keeps his hair flat, hidden, but it highlights his strong features, that beautiful nose of his and his perfectly classic scruffy Frankie beard.
Then seeing him covered in sweat, your mind canât help but flash to images of him in bed sweaty, his face blissed out and panting. Your mouth waters just thinking about your tongue dragging across his sweaty neck and tasting the salt of him-
You immediately snap yourself of the too heated thoughts when the crowd yells upset at a bad call.
With a runner on base now and two outs, the tension piles on as dread trickles in.
Soon enough the cardinalâs batter makes a solid hit. The ball gets fired up high in the air.
Then center field rushes in and catches the ball.
Game over.
Dodgers win.
The stadium overflows with excited pride, and you happily embrace the atmosphere in all its warmth.
You donât move from your spot, too hypnotized by Frankie who beams with the brightest smile while he celebrates with his new teammates.
You feel prouder than ever to wear his jersey.
The third baseman's wife, who you clicked with earlier, brightly tells you to follow her so she can show you to the locker room. You readily go.
Excitement electrifies every inch of the place. Even though you feel slightly awkward being here for the first time, no one seems to pay you attention.
Until you hear someone shout your name.
When you turn to spot Frankie, he's in gear looking intimidating and sexy wearing his chest guard and protective leg gear. Heading down from the dugout, your catcher rushes over to you. Like a magnet, almost like sensing a tug at your soul, you instantly move towards him.
Frankie collides into you solid, all encompassing as he gathers you into your arms squeezing you tight.
âYou need to get out of your gear, Morales!â You laugh.
âItâs fine. Bebita, youâre gonna have to keep coming to the games now. Iâve told ya, youâre my good luck charm.â Frankieâs voice sounds like the bright sun from todayâs game still shines brilliantly in it.
You hug him back, spilling nothing but praise.
âYou were amazing! Iâm so proud of you!â You gush.
Youâre already thinking of how to celebrate.
âMarry me.â Frankie says simply that you think you maybe misheard him.
âFrankie honey, what?â Curiosity has you about pulling away from his grasp. Instead Frankie clutches onto you even more.
He says your name. âIâŠfuck I donât have the ring with me here, and I know just sprang this up but-â
âYou wanna marry me?â Your voice wavers, cutting him off.
You and him have talked about the future, a tentative slow swim treading the possible waters. Frankieâs mentioned buying an apartment together. Heâs made the joke, lightly teasing, about you one day becoming a baseball wife.
You had held onto all these small edges of hope. It now all unfurls beautifully overwhelming.
âYeah baby, but only if youâll have me.â Frankie nods, his voice thick as he finally draws back out of your arms to get down on one knee.
You wonder if this is a dream youâve slipped into.
Asking this still in uniform is so Frankie, and your eyes spill over with tears. You nod yes, and your favorite baseball catcher springs to life bolting up to kiss you.
You forgot youâre still in a very open and public setting until all the gasps and excited claps fill the space.
Taking it all in stride you warmly laugh it off letting Frankie hold you close to his side. His eyes even shimmer, precious earth stones.
The evening feels soaked in joy like a beautiful watercolor dream.
You urge your favorite baseball player to go eat dinner with his team, celebrate. But he leans down to whisper in your ear -
âI wanna eat my fiancĂ©eâs pussy for dinner.â
Your knees almost give out that second.
Frankie and you barely make it to his truck before heâs drawing you into the backseat, clawing at you, frantically. And youâre just as bad.
You want him inside you. But as promised, Frankie maneuvers you to sit up for him to crawl between your legs. The position is cramped, but you could care less.
Your sweet Frankie, who normally loves to take his time, tear you apart with the most focused and patient ease, now is replaced by a man wild who grips your thighs so tight and laps at your clit messy. You come ridiculously fast on his skilled fingers and feverish tongue feasting on you.
You whine unbearably needy for him, can't go on anymore without him inside of you.
Frankie shifts to sit on the back seat and keep you close while you slide on top of his cock. His stretch in you rips a fire up your spine and you moan as your eyes close.
âMi amor, my future wife.â Frankieâs voice fills the heated sweaty space with a gilded reverence, and you scramble to kiss him.
Your future husband.
You were slightly worrie about Frankie being tried from his game, but the way he frantically fucks up into you reminds you of a man compeltely possessed. His hands grab you as if heâs worried youâll float away.
âGod, I fucking love youâŠgonna marry you,â Frankie mumbles, pussy drunk.
You feel just as drunk and reborn as he does, melting into this love.
Your climax knocks you breathless, a blazing star, and Frankie is not far behind.
You donât move off him and with the way his arms tighten around you, heâs alright with you staying simply close to him as possible.
âYou said you had a ring?â You ask tentatively, running your fingers through his hair.
âYeah,â Frankie chuckles. âBought it the day after you face timed me about that cute dog you saw at the store.â
That was a year ago. Your heart feels like itâs blooming a new world right in your chest, and you curl closer into him.
âThought about proposing to you when I picked you up at the airport yesterday, but you were so tired baby.â He softly says, his hands a warm cocoon around you.
âAnd todayâŠfuck seeing you cheering in the stands, hearing you. It just got me to more.â
Curiously, you ask what he means.
Frankie, confident as he is on the field, is still so shy, especially now as he burrows his face into your shoulder.
âI meanâŠI just want to see you at every game. Wanna come home to you. Then just thinking about that, and seeing you wearing my jersey, maybe having it as your last name-â
You rush to kiss him quickly, overtaken by so much adoration and love for this man. The thought had come once, or twice, about being a Morales yourself. You even tell him that.
âYeah, you ready to be mine officially?â His voice drops low and silky.
You nod moving to kiss his cheek, then rest your face against his.
A soft moment passes while his warm hands rub against every inch of you he can reach.
âKnow itâs still early to even talk about wedding shit or living arrangements, but just wanna take care of you, thatâs all.â Frankie says firm. âIâve joked about it but⊠you could quit your job tomorrow, move out here this weekend, and Iâd be fucking over the moon. But I also want you to have your own path too.â
You think of Frankie, your stable ever loving and giving Francisco. His heart shines beautiful right here, right now. Itâs like a live wire dances on your skin. Everything still feels intense. Maybe the sensation and rawness of becoming engaged has your mind feeling deliciously fuzzy.
âJust want you Frankie, thatâs all.â You breathe those words letting them sink past your bones.
You softly kiss him, love sick syrupy drunk again.
Itâs a promise to talk about this more later, about the possibility of living among the California weather with your future husband, itâs a dream you want to soak in.
But it summons up another dream, a sticky hot desire that crawls its way up.
âYou remember that fantasy I told you about?â So dazed and in love, your thoughts slip out.
Frankie groans clutching onto you tighter.
âYouâre gonna get me in trouble,â he sighs. âTrying to fuck me in my gear, before a game.â
âYeah but that was before when I was just your girlfriend.â You coo already feeling your body slowly roll against him.
âAs your wife maybe I could-â
Frankie swiftly cuts you off, kissing you so fast that it rattles your bones, and itâs beautiful.
You laugh feeling like maybe youâre the one who truly won tonight.

yall are weird as hell for making weight loss seem impossible to people dying from obesity when thermodynamics says otherwise. energy cannot be created from nowhere. if you are eating less energy than your body needs to move and function, and you are still living, then your body needs to get the energy from somewhere. and guess what the whole purpose for fat is! before you promote laziness and giving up, go back to biology class bae xx
I'm about to fall asleep after a long day of driving. 6+ hours on the road with my German friend who's an international student at my university. We stopped at a fun restaurant in the middle of no where and she got to try gator tail for the first time. We felt the humid sea breeze of the ocean as we laughed and talked over our lunch.
We drove through Tampa and walked along the water at night.
I taught her about American road trip games like "I spy." She laughed until she had tears in her eyes at my pretend southern accent. We ate ice cream and saw such cute candies as we explored.
She celebrated my birthday with me and even made me a reese's peanut butter cake for my birthday! The vanilla pudding she used for the filling and icing was delicious.
Tomorrow we're going to a nice restaurant with my dad to celebrate my birthday. I'll be showing her my hometown, we'll take pictures at the beach in pretty dresses, and she's excited to visit an Italian market that has the type of bread she loves yet can't get at grocery stores here.
We talked about our childhoods and families, ate pasta for dinner at midnight because we didn't get to where we're staying until 11 PM, and we had an amazing day sharing our cultures with each other.
I happened to look on Tumblr before falling asleep after such a fun day and saw this ask. I looked at your profile too.
And all I can think as I lay here excited about the fun day I have planned tomorrow with my friend is that I hope you get a better hobby than trying to harass and oppress a marginalized group on a dying website with your sad blog you use to hurt both yourself and the people around you.
I actually have a life outside of social media, and I hope you get one too.

for reference here's michael nylander's hockeydb
for my willy babesđ here u go:
- - - - - - -
STOCKHOLM â About 35 minutes outside Stockholm sits the place that always felt most like home for William Nylander.
It is the long-time offseason home of former NHLer Michael Nylander, and itâs where the Nylander family has been congregating every summer since William Nylander was a boy.
Thereâs the main house, the guest house and the barn where William practically lived from the time he was old enough to hold a hockey stick. It isnât the kind of barn where you might house cows, horses and piles of hay. Itâs nicer than that, William says. There are wooden floors and, as you might expect in a household of hockey players, two hockey nets.
William and his younger brother Alex would be holed up there for hours, day after day, every summer when they were kids.
Alex would play goalie and William would fire shots. Sticks would be thrown. Fights would ensue.
âBut then after the fight, no matter what happened,â Alex said, âwe would be best friends again.â
Then they might step and fire pucks on the shooting ramp Michael built in the yard by the soccer nets. After that, zip the 30 seconds it took to the nearby dock for a jump in the lake. Then, a visit to the sauna.
As boys, William and Alex would often make their way over to their fatherâs gym, where they would watch Dad go through his offseason workouts in preparation for another NHL season.
Then, the summer would come to an end and young William, and the rest of the family, would follow Dad back to North America. Somewhere in North America.
William Nylanderâs life has been forever split between two worlds and two homes.
- - - - - - -
Almost every fall, it seemed, Dadâs NHL jersey changed.
Which meant a new city, new school, new friends, new home, new minor hockey team and new hockey heroes for William (outside of Dad, of course).
William Nylander was born in Calgary while his dad was playing for the Flames. Michael was traded there from Hartford. He spent parts of five seasons with the Flames before they dealt him to Tampa Bay. Michael played only 35 games for the Lightning before another deal sent him â and the family â to Chicago.
Trades werenât talked about in the singular, but rather, the âwe.â Michael Nylander wasnât getting traded. The Nylanders were.
William was just starting the first grade when the Blackhawks traded his dad yet again, after only nine games in the fall of 2002, to Washington. The Capitals flipped Michael to Boston not long before the 2004 trade deadline.
Michael signed with the New York Rangers not long before the 2004-05 lockout. After two seasons there, the family trekked back to Washington, where Michael signed as a free agent.
Over 17 years, Michael Nylander played for seven teams â none lasting longer than a 239-game run with the Blackhawks. He also suited up in Sweden, Switzerland, Russia and Finland, as well as minor league outposts in Rochester and Grand Rapids.
âMoving around â itâs been like that since I was born,â William said. âItâs just the way it was. And actually, every time we moved somewhere, we thought it was fun.â
Moving came to feel normal. The first week at a new school was nerve-wracking, but also familiar. So was making new friends in Chicago, Washington, and New York, the three spots that occupied most of Williamâs childhood.
It helped that William and Alex always had each other, along with four sisters. Alex was born in Calgary two years after William. They did everything together.
âWilly and Alex, theyâre like stuck,â said Rasmus Sandin, the former Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman and a close friend of the Nylander family. âTheyâre together all the time.â
Alex says William is a little quieter than he is, a little less goofy, and more similar to their dad.
Thommy Nylander, Michaelâs younger brother and Williamâs uncle, thinks William inherited his fatherâs mentality, among other things. Thommy trains William every summer (heâs also a chiropractor and often treats William) and said his thoroughness in preparation is very much like Michaelâs.
âHeâs so warm and a nice guy, but when you get to the gym, heâs very serious about working,â Thommy said. âHeâs probably the best player, but heâs still doing the hours and heâs serious. He doesnât want to waste time.â
Anders Sorensen, who coached William when he was a kid in Chicago, saw him do things that seemed beyond the comprehension for someone his age. Like the time William dropped the puck behind his own net and took off.
âWhat are you doing?â Sorensen asked.
âWell, weâre breaking out!â Nylander responded. âItâs a power play!â
He was unmistakably the son of an NHLer.
Michael would bring William and Alex around to the rink often. They thought it was the coolest thing imaginable, being there with Dad where actual NHL hockey was being played.
William would hop onto the ice with Alex and shoot pucks before practice. Then he would retreat, on Dadâs orders, to the ping-pong lounge. From there, they would amble over to the dressing room and inspect the sticks of their fatherâs teammates â stars like Tony Amonte and Doug Gilmour in Chicago or Jaromir Jagr and Peter Bondra in Washington.
When Michael played for the Rangers, the Nylanders lived for a time in Greenwich Village â about a half-hourâs walk from Madison Square Garden. Williamâs mother, Camilla, would walk the kids around midtown Manhattan before Michaelâs games and then walk up the stairs into the arena.
The âgreen roomâ at MSG was particularly special.
âI guess itâs called a family room,â William said. âBut me and my brother called it the green room. âWeâre going to the green room!â Go smash a Coke every period and watch the game.â
In the green room, they could sip as much Coca-Cola as they wanted.
âItâs like âMom, can I have a Coke?â âNo. Todayâs not Saturday.â There you donât even have to ask mom,â William said.
Their mini sticks were with them always. William and Alex didnât need much to create a playing ground. A doorway for a goal was all it took.
Thatâs what made their house in Washington so thrilling: It had a big basement that was perfect for hockey. And because their dad just happened to play in the NHL, those games grew to include actual NHL players.
Fellow Swede Nicklas Backstrom visited the Nylander home for dinner frequently. Backstrom says he felt like another one of Michaelâs kids. For William and Alex, Backstrom was their dadâs work colleague and also an honourary sibling.
At one Thanksgiving dinner, the Nylanders â with chef Michael doing the cooking â hosted Backstrom and his even starrier Capitals teammate, Alex Ovechkin.
Life amongst the stars was just part of the deal for William growing up. There was that one time he looked up in the elevator at MSG and saw Mario Lemieux standing across from him.
- - - - - - -
Michael taught William the game. At first, he just let William and Alex play for fun. But as they grew older and more serious about the sport, he would instruct them on how to shoot, how to skate, how to do everything on the ice. They would watch, take notes and try to do it all the same.
âGrowing up, we would follow him around and stuff, but it wasnât like he was pushing us or anything,â William said. âBut once we decided that we wanted to play, he helped us out a lot and pushed us in the right way.â
Dan Houck, who coached William when he lived in Washington, saw the same thing in him that he did with all the sons of the Capitals he coached. They all seemed to come fully stocked with a certain hockey intelligence.
William saw the ice just like his dad, Thommy Nylander says.
âWilliam was front-row to some of the most dynamic offensive talents in the NHL,â Houck said. âI think that was formidable for him in his development as a player.â
Backstrom remembers watching William and Alex both play for a local youth team. âI knew they were special players, for sure,â he said. âThey were dominant.â
âI always looked up to my dad and wanted to be like my dad,â William said.
But William never played much like his dad. Michael was a pure setup man. He didnât have Williamâs power as a skater or shooter.
Sorensen wonders if William, raised on all those North American rinks, had more of a shooterâs mentality than his dad, who came up in Europe, where most players think pass first.
Sorensen coached William and his dad together for SödertĂ€lje in the Swedish Hockey League when William was 16 and Michael was almost 40. They would all chuckle at signs in the rink that said explicitly: âNo parents allowed on the bench.â
Not only were they on the same bench, but often the same line, with William at right wing and Michael in the middle. During one game, William pleaded with his dad: âPass me the puck instead of hanging onto it!â
Michael wasnât an overbearing hockey dad. He even pushed his boys to explore other sports. He did like to ask lots of questions though.
âI call him âWallanderâ sometimes,â Sorensen said, referring to the fictional Swedish detective, âHeâs always like, âWhy is that? What do you think about that? Why did you do it this way? Why did you do it that way?â Heâs a smart man. Heâs a very smart man. He cares for his family, he cares for people around him so Iâve always got along with him great.â
As Sorensen noted, it was usually Camilla who handled a large chunk of the duties when it came to getting William to the rink.
- - - - - - -
Even as a youngster, the skill always popped with William.
Houck remembers the first time he faced William, when he was 10 and playing for the Greenwich Jr. Blues. Houckâs squad was a year older, but they still trailed by a goal late and pulled their goalie. The puck popped up and hit the stick of the âwrongâ player â William Nylander. He calmly shot it down the ice into the empty net.
âNot many kids at age 10 would have the wherewithal [to do that],â Houck says. âIf you miss that and itâs an icing, then the puckâs pinned in your end again.â
Sorensen remembers a select tournament in Toronto when William faced off against future NHLers like Connor McDavid, Josh Ho-Sang and Robby Fabbri. Someone came up to Sorensen and said: âThis Nylander kid, heâs right up there with all those other guys.â
Michael was a little surprised when he heard about it: âThey really think heâs that good?â
Houckâs primary objective when he coached Nylander was to ensure he didnât stifle that skill. He wanted to let those gifts shine as brightly as possible, especially in key spots with the game on the line.
What sticks out most in Houckâs memory of William is how he loved the game. This wasnât a kid who played because of his dad. It was the opposite with William, who would even sneak onto the ice with Alexâs team whenever he could.
âWe always just loved hockey from the first time we ever played it,â Alex said.
- - - - - - -
William still retreats to Sweden every offseason.
âMostly what you miss about Sweden is the family,â he said.
The Nylanders are an especially tight bunch. Michael is one of seven siblings himself. Itâs not uncommon for the Nylanders to make their way to Toronto. Thommy and his older brother, Peter, came to watch in April.
In his early years with the Leafs, William was announced at home games as hailing from Calgary. That changed a couple of seasons ago. Now, when heâs introduced, itâs âfrom Stockholm, Sweden.â
Stockholm became home on a more permanent basis at 14 when Michaelâs NHL days came to an end and when William, with Canadian and Swedish citizenship, had to decide where he would play his hockey internationally. He and Alex both opted for Sweden. Thatâs when he and Alex could begin to enjoy the outdoor rinks in and around Stockholm and âplay and play and play and never go homeâ as Alex remembered it.
For a long time, William stayed with his parents when he returned to Sweden in the summer. Heâs since bought an apartment in Stockholm and invited Alex to live with him in the offseason. They take Williamâs two dogs for walks down by the water. They hit Ciccios for dinner or Brasserie Astoria next door, or Restaurant AG for a quality steak.
William will golf five days a week with Sandin during the offseason, forever finding space for a daily nap. William and Alex might have friends over and still William will dip out for his daily nap. âWe both nap a lot,â Alex said, âbut youâll never see somebody who naps more than my brother. Heâll nap 365 days of the year.â
William is still trained at home by his dad through his Playmaker92 agency.
William and Alex will usually hit the gym around 8 a.m. By 10, itâs over to the ice with a much larger group that includes Sandin and his brother, Linus, for on-ice sessions lasting an hour and a half led by Michael.
Few, if any, NHL players are trained by their former NHL-playing fathers. Michael is known to be a master of the details, creating the kind of skill drills that only a former player of his calibre could.
Another bonus of returning home to Sweden for William is the chance to eat his dadâs cooking.
Michael has been something of a foodie dating back to his playing days. He prepares âgourmetâ meals with a starter, main, and dessert. (Unprompted, Backstrom mentioned Michaelâs excellent food.)
Sandin remembers a particularly delicious potato pancake and says the experience of eating a Michael Nylander meal is âlike youâre going to a Michelin-star restaurant.â
Thatâs the thing about Sweden for William. Itâs home. Itâs family. Itâs the place he could, and can still, always come back to. Itâs the place where heâs able to find some distance from his hockey-playing life.
The days of hopscotching around North America have long been over. William has played the entirety of his career with the Leafs. Toronto has become his adopted second home. He rides the TTC to most home games these days.
He feels settled in Toronto, though, he adds with a big laugh, âWith every year having a trade rumor.â
Two worlds. Two homes. Forever the life of William Nylander.
Itâs how he was made.

The Ducks of the FITF Tour.
John Delf the sound engineer of the Louis Tomlinson tour started to put in the sound booth rubber ducks that fans gave him to keep him company, and this collection got big this US & Canada leg. So here is the story (that nobody ask for) of how this family of ducks started and growth.
[Disclaimer: I'm aware this could sound like a dumb post to make but i have fun making it and wanted to share what fans created. Also some of this photos and edits are potato quality so sorry in advanced if you don't see very well the details.]
-The Duck family started with the green duck, who was first spotted at the Cuyahoga Falls show (01.06.23) [duck count: 1].
-After that the green duck was spotted in John's photos in different shows, however at the Milwaukee, Wisconsin show (13.06.23) five new friends join in (pink, black, blue, yellow and red ducks), the green duck wasn't alone anymore [duck count: 6].
-The rainbow ducks were spotted in different shows until the Berkley, California show(29.06.23) where a new family member join in: The capitan duck with an anchor [duck count: 7].
-The seven ducks were spotted in LA, Las Vegas, Phoenix but in Irving, Texas show (06.07.23) three new members join in [duck count:10].
In the upper photo we see: the space polka dot duck, the disco duck and the duck the duck with green hair/hat.
-In the Austin, Texas show (07.07.23) two new members were add it: the FITF duck and the futbol duck [duck count: 12].
-The next show that a new family member was added it was in Hollywood Florida (13.07.23), where 1 more join in: the duck chileno [duck count: 13].
-In the Tampa, Florida show (14.07.23) the duck family got bigger with 6 Louis ducks plus a green turtle [duck count: 19+1 turtle].
In the upper photo we see (Louis in Gilford duck, Louis in Cuyahoga Falls duck,Louis in Columbus duck, Louis with 28 clothing white hoodie duck,Louis in Seattle duck and Louis Troutdale duck) and the green turtle.
If you forgot about those outfits here is a reminder:
-In the Atlanta, Georgia show (15.07.23) two new members join: the second duck chileno and the soccer ball duck [duck count: 21 + 1 turtle].
-In the Nashville show (18.07.21) six members join in [duck count: 27 + 1 turtle].
In the upper photo we see: princess duck, angel duck, green with blue glasses duck (later shows it ends up with black glasses),bracelet-flying helmet duck, big red duck, fitf album cover duck.
-In the Charlotte show (19.07.23) in the day the 28 member was add it, the cowboy duck with a pink floatie, at night two more join in Louis in Nashville duck and Louis in Atlanta duck [duck count: 30+ 1 turtle].
Checking this post and this other post and what John posted of other show, for the position of the ducks, the Nashville and Atlanta duck have a penguin on their butt so they can look more like the original Louis(they also have blue eyes like Louis).
I know the quality is not the best but you can see the form of the outfits (Atlanta outfit on the left and Nashville outfit on the right):
-In the Raleigh show (21.07.23), were add it 14 members to the duck family [duck count: 44+ 1 turtle].
In the upper photo we see: 5 long hair neon rainbow light ducks, john delf duck, baby purple duck, duck with blue shirt, North Caroline duck, middle finger duck, black stripes duck, yellow duck with a sparkly shirt and lastly duck unicorn twins.
-In the Columbia show (23.07.23), 16 ducks join the family [duck count: 60+ 1 turtle].
In the upper photo are: triplets soccer ball ducks, clown duck (fandom representation), duck blue shirt, duck with green shirt, sparkly triplets ducks (golden, red, gray ), DIY duck, pilot duck with floatie, mystery red duck (I can't see how it looks), duck with black hat, superman duck, transparent duck, red rocket duck.
-In the Boston night 1 show (24.07.23) we got 2 more ducks and an octopus stuffed animal ?.[duck count: 62+ 1 turtle+1 octopus]
In the upper photo we see High in California duck, soldier duck and cute octopus.
-In the Boston night 2 show (25.07.23), the photos share for this are really dark and I really can't see a lot, for the form and future show post I figure which were the new ones (maybe I could have miss something), in this show were add it 4 new ducks.[duck count: 66+ 1 turtle+1 octopus]
In the upper photo we see writing duck, gray necklace duck, Boston duck and weed duck.
-In the Philadelphia show (27.07.23), the photo is really dark and even edited the quality is not the best, but in this show the rest of the ducks weren't showcase in the photo we only see the new 7 ducks [duck count: 73+ 1 turtle+1 octopus].
In the upper photo we see red duck with a quiff, Luigui the italian duck, punk purple duck, soccer dress duck, blue duck (this is a new one besides the other blue)white duck and astronaut duck.
-In the Asbury Park, New Jersey show (28.07.23) we only see the 4 new duck that join the family [duck count: 77+ 1 turtle+1 octopus].
In the upper photo we see yellow Louis duck, Tomlinson duck, O.R.F.C and beaded blue duck.
-In NYC (29.07.23) in the day we got a video that share the collection and were add it 2 new ducks (maybe john got them after taking the pic of Ausbury) [duck count: 79 + 1 turtle + 1 octopus] .
My edit is awful and I have to put some photos on top so you can see all of them. Anyway in the image we see duck with glasses and mini yellow duck.
-Same day at night more ducks were add it. This is the last one and the most hard to figure it out because of the picture, I probably miss something but this is what I could notice, in the NYC show (29.07.23) 7 ducks join the family [duck count: 86+ 1 turtle+1 octopus].
In the upper photo we see duck shark, crochet duck, hidden duck, darker unknown duck, sparkly big green duck, yellow duck with something in their back and helmet duck.
Just like this collection got out of control, this post as well, If you have links of the story of fans who give ducks or better photos or name suggestions for the ducks please share it with me.
I have the same post on twitter in english and español if you want to share it over there. I'm hoping fans that gift ducks see it and could tag me in better photos so please reblog and retweet.
In the European leg tour John doesn't show the new ducks in all shows and the photos are really dark with not a lot of close ups but I will try to do another recap.

Inside the sibling matchup between Brady and Matthew Tkachuk and their all-star sister, Taryn
According to Chantal, Matthew and Brady were âalways, always, alwaysâ competing hard in things roller hockey, basketball and even a made-up game called âtrampoline footballâ that just consisted of the siblings throwing a football and body checking each other on the trampoline in their backyard.
âIt was almost a joke in our family,â she said. âYou know, theyâd go out and play roller hockey and weâd be like, âOK how many minutes until they come in and somebody is complaining or fighting?â And sure enough, somebody would come in complaining, and then theyâd be back out five minutes later playing again. They just always were each otherâs playmates and just competed all the time.â
When asked if there was one particular fight, or moment that stood out, Chantal joked that there were too many to just pick one.
âOh god, it happened kind of regularly,â she said laughing. âI mean, Iâve replaced windows from hockey pucks. Iâve had to patch walls from mini-stick games that got a little physical with body checking each other into the walls. So thereâs not really one that stands out because it was sort of the way they were all along. They just played hard and had fun.
âThey always played mini-sticks in the wives lounge too,â she added. âI think the other wives with no kids thought I was crazy because (the boys) would usually end up rolling around the floor tackling one another.â
Brady remembers the brotherly fights fondly.
âOh yeah, there were a bunch of fights she had to break up or weâd come in the house flying around on our rollerblades trying to get at one another or me trying to get away,â he said with a laugh. âItâs a lot of good memories, and I think it made us both who we are today.â
âItâs hard not to be everywhere you want to be at the time, but the boys understand that their sisterâs stuff is important too, and this is a big tournament for her this weekend,â Chantal said on the phone from Tampa. âThey keep checking in. We have a family group text chat and they always want the updates on how she is doing.â
âI am Tarynâs biggest fan,â Brady said. âShe recently committed (NCAA Division I) to play for (University of Virginia) and we are all super happy for her.â
Brady and Taryn are especially close because when Matthew left the house to join the U.S. National Development Program, they only had each other.
âTheyâve got a cute, sweet bond,â Chantal said. âBut both the boys are really supportive, and she knows it and I think that makes her feel pretty special.â
Brady and Matthew have become well known for being exactly like their dad on the ice. And well, Taryn isnât too different. In some of her highlight videos, you can see her skill, physicality and knack for âaccidentallyâ running into opposing goalies.
âSheâs a Tkachuk,â Brady said with a big grin.
Itâs not hard to see where she gets it from either. When Brady and Matthew were competing in the driveway or body checking each other on the trampoline, Taryn was often right in the thick of it with them. If she wanted to play, she had to compete hard. And thatâs followed her onto the field, just like it followed her brothers on the ice.

WOAGH I got tagged by @elliegoose to do a thingy!
now the tag game was to introduce yourself with:
one tv show
one movie
one album
one video game
I, however, liked that they did two and I am ALSO cute and get to do whatever I want so im gonna do two, too.
TV shows: The Venture Bros. and Hilda
talk about opposite ends of the spectrum, eh? Now Venture Bros. will always come with an asterisk, that being that it's an Adult Swim show that was created in the early 2000s by two white guys. Its comedy, especially in earlier seasons, can be unsavory. I'm a big believer in things being imperfect though. Not every show can live up to every standard, and sometimes you just need to roll your eyes at jokes that were made 10-20 years ago. If you can get past that what you get is an excellent and genuinely fun world full of Spyfi and Superhero parodies with a good story to boot.
Hilda, on the other hand, is a show for younger audiences based on a kids book series that largely has to do with various pieces of Scandinavian folklore. I've watched Hilda all the way through twice, once on my own as it was coming out and then once with my wife, and its just so so so lovely. The colour tones of red blue yellow and white, the delightful music, the adorable cast of characters and creatures, its such a good time. One of the best cozy up and just vibe it out shows imo. In my top 5 for sure.
Movies: Everything, Everywhere, All at once and Wolf Children.
What hasn't been said about EEAAO? It won awards that it damn well deserved, its got a perfect cast, it makes me cry every time I watch it. A compelling story about family and change, and the monumental difficulties that can come with them, as well as how different people survive hardships in their life, all wrapped up in the most batshit thing you've ever seen. Clair De Lune, THE SONG I GOT MY NAME FROM, is the main theme and it makes me tear up every time. In every universe, I would love to do laundry and taxes with you, and watch this movie.
Wolf Children isn't far off from that vein. I consider it to be Studio Chizu's magnum opus and I don't say that lightly. From the presentation and voice cast to the music and gorgeous art used in the movie, not even to MENTION how good the story about family, change, growing up, and letting go is, if you don't cry in the first 30 mins you should evaluate your emotional status. This movie means so much to me, its such a gorgeous story, and more people should know about it. Studio Chizu doesn't have a single miss in my opinion, just lesser and greater movies. Wolf Children is hands down the greatest.
Albums: Get Lonely by The Mountain Goats and No Dogs Allowed by Sidney Gish
What??? Clair's top two isn't DnB or something techno related???? Nah dog, I get sad a lot and have a thing for poetry. Get lonely was an album I listened to in some of the worst years of my adult life. I was 20 living with my family who made me miserable in a state that was (and still is) trying to get rid of people like me, and I had very little things that were mine. Walking around downtown Bartow, Florida, in the two weeks of winter that hell state gets while listening to John Darniel sing about soft agonies while watching my breath dissipate into the air? That was mine, and it always will be. TMG in general is I think my favourite band. The poetry on display in every one of their songs is just, too beautiful for my dumb ass to put in any meaningful way.
No Dogs Allowed was an album I listened to while working a midnight shift job I hated while also living with my family. Its an upbeat, quirky, kind of melancholy romp with songs that bring me back to driving from Bartow to Lakeland hoping I could stop myself from either killing myself or fucking up my friendships, whichever came first. Spoiler alert, I'm still alive. It also reminds me of the last big thing I ever did with my sibling before I left Florida for good, which was go to the Tampa Bay Aquarium with them. Several songs from the album were on the playlist I made for us, and hearing them always makes me want to shoot them a message to see if they're doing okay.
Video Games: Night in the woods and Final Fantasy XIV Online
Night in the woods is very, very near and dear to my heart. I honestly don't know what to say. If you've played it you know how good it is. How well written the story of Mae and her mental health crisis is. How it goes over things like poverty and trying to get by/make a better life. Family struggles that they don't talk to you about, small hometown decay that seeps into your every memory until the place you grew up in looks like a collection of distorted rotting shapes. I play it once a year in the fall, and each time I do its like seeing an old friend again. At the end of everything, hold onto everything.
Final Fantasy XIV Online is a game you can play with your friends. I could go on and on and on about how I have 1300 hours in this game and how I met some good friends on it, and how important it is to me as a piece of writing and a community and an experience. But we'd be here all day. FFXIV was there for me in some very tough times. I met new people, I grew distant from others, I have regrets and joys that I still carry with me. If you can get into it with the right people, the game really is something special. Its something to be shared, its a bustling community with all the edges that come with that, its a world where you can be a 7ft. tall elf with green eyes and white hair, and its a part of me.
As for who I wanna tag: @problematicmilf , @ninefoldrin , @baphomets-hairy-bonkhonagahoogs , @mobileleprechaun , and anyone who sees this and wants to do it too. This was fun! Hope I don't seem too lame lol.

Coyotes Prospectules Primer
Now you may be wondering what is this? This is me trying my best to explain the dynamic between 5 coyotes players/prospects (i lost my mind while making this enjoy)
For this, they are still going to be called âcoyotesâ because utah hcers or clubbers doesnât sound correct.
First of all, what is this? This is a primer explaining to you the dynamics going on for the younger coyote* players/prospects.
*when I started writing this conor geekie was still a coyote
Let's start with the basics: who is involved and who are these people?
Dylan Guenther: he was drafted 9th overall in the 2021 draft heâs a LW/RW. You probably know him for scoring the 2023 WJC team Canada golden goal.
Logan Cooley: drafted 3rd overall in 2022 and is a centre. Growing up he was in the Little Penguins program but was an Ovi/caps fan. You probably know him for his insane Australia pregame goal.
Josh Doan: 37th overall draft pick in 2021 and is a RW/C. He is the son of Arizona Coyotes legend Shane Doan. Destined to continue the Doan dynasty then Utah happened. Josh Doan is one of the only forms of nepotism I like and it was ripped away from me⊠hey Siri play, Rolling in the Deep by Adele because we couldâve had it all.
Conor Geekie: drafted 11th overall in 2022 and is a centre. He was recently traded to Tampa and Iâm just⊠Iâm sad. **
**I finished writing and editing it well after he got traded but I canât be bothered to change this đđ
Maveric Lamoureux: drafted 29th overall in 2022 and is a defenceman. Heâs a big man (6â7ft/201cm) with a big heart (WJC 2024 you wound me).
2022 Draft
This is where Logan Cooley, Maveric Lamoureux and Conor Geekie met each other. As previously mentioned, cools went 3rd, geeks went 11th and mav went 29th, all first-rounders. This draft was significant for the coyotes as these three finally set the foundation for the coyotes rebuild. Like of course Dylan was the main piece of the rebuild for a long time but with these three it finally stabilised the young future aspect of the coyotes rebuild.
Development camp was right after the draft so the three of them hopped on a plane to Arizona, Maveric had the aisle seat and was sitting next to Logan, across from Geekie.

2022 Coyotes Development Camp
This section will be brief because, for the life of me, I couldnât find anything.
All 5 of them were invited for the week.Â
Logan roomed with Josh.Â
Conor got injured on the first day of camp and had to sit out the rest of it
Conor, Maveric and Logan did an interview together that was fun. I skimmed through it not really taking notes on the important things so instead you get to hear my favourite moments instead
Geekie used to play with the Arizona Coyotes on EA NHL being, "they're the team with the nice jerseys."
Logan's flight to Montréal (the draft) was cancelled twice so his family rented (an ugly) van and drove 8-10 hours. Logan slept most of the way.
Sidenote the the difference between all three accents is so fun because you'll be listening and it's a french accent then boom american
Conor looked like he was dying this whole interview, he looked like he was overheating and about to cry
2023 Coyotes Development Camp
Roommates: All 5 of the boys were invited to camp. Cooley and Geekie roomed together, I don't know who roomed with Dylan, but Josh roomed with Ilya Fedotov and Maveric roomed with Justin Kipkie.Â
D-Backs: Logan was invited to throw the first pitch. Josh, Conor, Maveric and Dylan were invited to the pitch, while everyone else sat up in the box.
Before the game Conor was asked about Logan throwing the first pitch and if he would make it Conor had zero faith in Cools saying, âno, thereâs no chance.â Obviously he said it jokingly.
The boys were also chirping him but I don't know what they said, sorry.
But donât worry Logan did a good job and the boys were proud of him.
Also this clip, that i donât know how to describe other than Logan making the boys giggle.
INSIDE ACCESS EP 203: Foundation for the Future: this is a video the Arizona Coyotes YouTube channel put out and is a look into what happens at development camp. A brief breakdown: (obviously focusing on those 5)
Day 1: Introductions; meet the staff, meet your peers, get to know the program and whatâs going to happen
Day 2: testing + training
Day 3: community; this is where we get to see their personalities. This day player spend time with the community learning what it truly means to be an Arizona Coyotes
Josh Doan is amazing with kids (especially this moment), encouraging them and making sure they have fun. He also hypes up other guy in dev camp. Overall Josh Doan is a positive guy.
Maveric Lamoureux is also good with kids, not as loud as Josh but he was having a good time
Conor Geekie almost hits a kid on accident, but he was having fun building lego
Dylan Guenther is just not being shown, but heâs his (lowkey) awkward but reserved little self.
Logan Cooley also isnât shown much either but he looked like he was having fun
This day the boys also learned how to cook (or as the nutritionist described it, putting the correct food into your body)Â
Dylan and Logan were on the same team and Dylan looked s t r e s s e d.
Josh was being his usual extraverted self
Maveric was having fun getting up to the tiniest bit of mischief
Conor was also having fun, but wasnât shown a lot in this section
This is also when they went to the d-backers game.
Day 4: Black + White Scrimmage;
Team white: Lamoureux, Cooley
Team black: Geekie, Doan
For the life of me i could not find what team Guenther was on
After the game in the handshake line, i just⊠just watch, Iâm at a loss for words

Side note: on the 7th (or 6th depending where you're from) of July 2024 Conor Geekie deleted all his Arizona posts except the draft, but luckily this photo and comment were saved. Â

2023 World Juniors
Dylan and Logan were both invited to world juniors by their respective countries. Dylan won gold (đšđŠ) and Logan got bronze (đșđž).
After the tournament was over Logan said this about Dylan
"He's a great player, and I'm really looking forward to be able to play on the same team as him." "Obviously Canada is a rival and I wasn't pumped to see them win, but if anyone had to score it, I'm glad it was him."
"...but if anyone had to score, I'm glad it was him."
making this a quote is necessary actually.
2023-24 NHL SEASON:
Hey! it's logan cooley's rookie season
Here's a list of every single time Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther connected on a goal; throughout the season they were put on a line together, especially towards the end of the season.
Boston Bruins vs Arizona Coyotes: January 9, 2024: Guenther goal, Cooley Primary assist
Arizona Coyotes @ Florida Panthers: January 24, 2024: Cooley goal, Guenther primary assist
Arizona Coyotes @ Carolina Hurricanes: January 27, 2024: Cooley goal, Guenther primary assist
Arizona Coyotes @ Washington Capitals: March 3, 2024: Cooley goal, Guenther secondary assist
Arizona Coyotes @ Detroit Red Wings: Cooley goal, Guenther primary assist
Vegas Golden Knights vs Arizona Coyotes: April 5, 2024: Cooley goal, Guenther secondary assist
Seattle Kraken vs. Arizona Coyotes: March 22, 2024: Guenther OT goal, Cooley only assist (the kids won it in OT đ„č)
This game gets its own section: Arizona Coyotes @ Vancouver Canucks: April 10, 2024
First of all it was Dylan's birthday. Second of all this was the day the first report from sportsnet dropped saying the NHL has created 2 schedules one for Utah and one for Arizona. Other notes:
Dylan had a 4 point night (1G-3A)
On Dylan's goal Cooley was the first and only assist
The game heads into OT AND LOGAN COOLEY SCORES WITH A GUENTHER PRIMARY ASSIST WOOOO00! one one of the worst days to be a coyotes fan or just a coyotes player in general. THEY WON THE GAME TOGETHER!!! I did cry while watching this game thank you for asking.
March 26th 2024 one of the most important day in coyotes history: Josh Doan's debut!!!
Josh got his first goal (no one credited on the assist)
Then he got his second goal (be becomes the first and only arizona coyote to score 2 or more goals in their debut)
and then Dylan got a shot handed goal (no one credited on the assist)
Josh Doan first star of the night
2023-24 AHL SEASON:
Josh and Dylan both started the season as Tucson Roadrunners
Dylan Guenther was recalled to the coyotes Jan. 6th
Dylan was announced as the roadrunners all stars selection but he was in the NHL so the roadrunners sent Josh instead
Conor Geekie was also put on the roster but he never ended up playing a game for the Roadrunners in the regular season, instead he was playing in the WHL (Western Hockey League)
All the times Josh and Dylan connected on a goal:
Tucson Roadrunners vs Ontario Reign: November 10, 2023: Guenther goal, Doan primary assist
Tucson Roadrunners vs Bakersfield Condors, October 27, 2023: Doan goal, Guenther primary assist
Tucson Roadrunners vs Calgary Wranglers, November 21, 2023: Doan goal, Guenther secondary assist
Tucson Roadrunners vs Henderson Silver Knights, November 25, 2023: Doan goal, Guenther primary assist
Tucson Roadrunners vs San Jose Barracuda, December 1, 2023: Doan goal, Guenther primary assist
Tucson Roadrunners vs Bakersfield Condors, December 22, 2023: Doan OT goal, Guenther primary assist
Calder Cup Playoffs:
Michael Kesselring, along with Josh and Dylan were sent down to the AHL to play in the Calder Cup Playoffs, while the rest of the coyotes were in Utah doing the welcome to Utah thing.
Conor Geekie was loaned the the Roadrunners after the Swift Broncos were eliminated from the Memorial Cup Playoffs, and made his AHL debut the first playoff game against the wranglers
The Tucson Roadrunners ended up playing 2 games before getting eliminated by the Calgary Wranglers :/
The Tucson Roadrunners might have been shit in the playoffs but PHNX Sports podcast comes through a provides; Dylan Guenther, Josh Doan Ready For Tucson Roadrunners Playoff Run: Notes from Dylan's interviewđ
(context: Dylan was asked but staying up in the NHL and taking advantage of his opportunity):
CRAIG MORGAN: ...when did you really start to feel like it (playing in the NHL) started to click, up there? DYLAN: ... take advantage of the opportunity. I got a pretty good opportunity heading in right away, like and uh that's just what I tried to do is to take advantage. So I felt like as I went on, I developed chemistry with, you know, with Cools. But also you know, a lot of the players, all the guys on the team and I was having a lot of fun doing it. I think that's a big important piece is having fun when you're playing to and I think that helped me.
Yes, that whole quote was necessary but I love that Dylan points out he developed great chemistry with cools then quickly added everyone else on. Other moments from the podcast:
Dylan enjoys cooking but he doesn't want it out there that he *might* be a good cook (this man hates being perceived). Then craig... oh craig, he said Dylan being a good cook will make Dylan a great bachelor. And I died of laughter
He loves to describe the team as driven and hungary
Notes from Josh's interview đ
He was wearing a cowboy hat but sadly couldn't wear it for the interview because of the headset
Josh wanted to end the hockey season back down in the AHL which surprises people because people who are in the NHL don't want to be sent down. But Josh's reason is because he loves the game and the team and the boys mean so much to him. (Him loving Arizona and not wanting to leave goes unsaid)
Shane calls Josh a nerd
Then the host started chirping Josh about his cooking/him and his special steak. Josh calls his steak cooking ability, "one of his many trait at home."
Then he started chirping but also complementing Aku RĂ€ty, saying he's a good cleaner and smoothie maker
He says his job is to make the room stay light and positive
He also said that he went into the NHL saying to himself to be a nuisance on the forecheck đ
Ten they started talking about arizona hockey and i got sad :( then the interview ends
2024 World Juniors
Maveric and Conor were invited to worlds by team canada and got 4th.
They did a the TNS promotional video âteam Canada calls out their teammates for funâ where Mav bullied geeks for his knob because ofc have you seen it. Great banter.
2024 off-season
First off all how fucking dare they trade geeks LIKE?!??! HELLO??! UTAH??!? NO?? (as you can see it's been 2 months since the trade and i'm not over it)
The draft: Utah HC held a draft party where dylan and josh were signing autographs (it feels like sacrilege seeing them (epically josh) wearing utah gear) (sorry kid i just don't want you face on the internet)

Romania đ„°
This year my summer is a bit Dracula themed and last month I went on a little trip to Romania by myself. Romania is a beautiful country, it's tourism still growing and not everything is perfect, but there are plenty of wonderful places to see that are more than worth the visit, so here you have some tips for some Dracula tourism in his home country. đ
Brasov - Whether you're going to Romania to follow Dracula or not, Brasov is an excellent place to start. Situated in the centre of Transylvania, it is a lovely, historical city and a tourist centre from which you can travel to different places of interest in the surrounding area. In the 15th century, Brasov was one of the most important cities belonging to the Transylvanian Saxon merchants, who didn't have a very good relationship with Vlad Tepes and according to legend, Vlad once came to the city and impaled 40 of the merchants on the nearby Tampa mountain. You can visit the mountain yourself either by climbing one of the tracks or using a cable car that travels from the foot of the mountain. Once you come back down, you can visit the beautiful Council Square with the famous Black Church and then you can go have lunch to the Dracula restaurant that features some lovely Dracula-themed decorations. đ
Bran Castle - From Brasov, you can then travel by bus or book a day tour to the Bran Castle, nestled in the mountains not far from the city. Bran is famously called Dracula's Castle, even though it has little to do with either the vampire or the prince, beside the fact the the castle is said to have been the inspiration for the actual castle in the book. But here at Bran they love their connection to the vampire that brings crowds of tourists to the area and the castle features a small exhibition dedicated not only to Vlad Tepes and Dracula, but also to other stories from Romanian folklore. In addition to that, the castle is a museum featuring exhibits from the life of the royal family, who used to live in this castle during the last century. đ
Sighisoara - If you want to truly immerse yourself in the story of Vlad Tepes, you can travel to the beautiful town of Sighisoara, where he was originally born in 1431 and you can find signs of his presence everywhere. Sighisoara is a lovely city with a small, medieval fortress situated on a hill in its centre. This UNESCO heritage site will make you feel like you've been transported back in time with its colourful, old buildings and unigue, medieval atmosphere. The most famous building is a large clock tower that you can see from everywhere in the city, but a few steps from the tower you can find the house where young Vlad Tepes lived with his family for the first few years of his life. Today the building houses a restaurant and a souvenir shop.
Continuing with our exploration of the city, not far from the house, between a church and the city's town hall, you will find a stone bust of Vlad Tepes, commemorating the city's connection to the ruler. Walking back to the square and turning to another street, you can then visit the Mystical Transylvania museum that offers two small, but very well made exhibits, one talking about some famous stories from the city's history and the other one focusing on the story of Vlad Tepes himself, narrating his life with the use of projections, light and shadow and other special effect and an entertaining voice acting.
Though the journey had some challenges, I had a lot of fun and definitely will visit Romania again to see some other cool places, not only those connected to Dracula, and there's still a lot of these, but also from the large collection of other places that I haven't seen yet. đ„°
